and uh the competency that we need to master is uh to identify the literary elements literary techniques and literary devices in various modes of fiction specifically flat and conflict so this is uh sugar Jerry from sdo Isabella I am alone again today because circuit is uh quite busy in doing their TV uh script for the depth TV okay so uh definitely uh the session will be able to have him say yeah so uh last time I was able to feature a certain poem a tribute to teachers and so I would just like to have a quick uh presentation of this uh poem which was originally composed by kit rgc runas actually these are for the teachers who just celebrated the world Teachers Day okay it's entitled teach me how you teach me now uh she's actually from San Mariano National High School uh sdo Isabella okay so allow me to read it uh as quick as possible okay so I can hear their pants scratching from afar where teachers are reaching out I can tell that they are raising their hands and holding me holding it and every student that they can grasp with to guide us to to be better for something for something we look forward to for the future of what we become you took me to a mirror to face the shadow of my fear and I faced it I faced it still when I look up I look at you so humble when you told me that I do now tomorrow and again when tables are turns so do the chair but you still kept your foot into the ground you still hold those span and chop the paper my future behind the door you wait you wait for us to return you wore the suit of a youth saver between the war of the world and a silent healer you feed insights to them to understand themselves of their wants and the needs their rights between three parts you've decided to guide me you were the distance of my before and part of my faith you were the process you taught me how you taught me now now I made fits I'm still making another and you're not yet done the guide to the right route for me when I inquire you know the words you've been tripping them from day by day you knew them too because when I hear those Chucks scratching the tip of a pen dipping on the paper I can feel your desperation your determination of knowing what my dreams are and helping me to get it until I am it and then until I make it okay so that's a simple tribute now for for us our teacher dear teachers coming from a student of mine from the sdo Isabella good job okay so moving on Umaga the truth is of the week for our creative writing okay and these are the following students we have nestling you know what for the first one and then Hazel fictional character is Stella Luna she was a gift of a god a blessing in disguise that's how her parents described their mirapolis miraculous they called her mirapolis baby because when when I was born she was lifeless but when the light from the Moon fragile and soft skin she started bursting out in writing okay so good job Aubry so let's have a virtual club for those uh five senior high school students who were able to be chosen as the truthis of the week now of course I would like also to have a special mention with the following students who also did their job well especially in uh doing our challenge of the week these are the following Angel El Nagal Kate RG roonas Dave Torres paskaran and Eddie a devela Jr good job people okay so moving on I would like to post now again as early as now the challenge of the week for our next session and then we could move to the next PowerPoint later on so for your next uh challenge you are going to create a conflict poster maybe this one is uh digitized poster and you can uh you can post it in your Facebook accounts okay so we have the given uh directions you're going to produce an original movie poster portraying a type of conflict it could be man versus man man versus nature Man versus child Man Versus Society or Man versus himself okay and discuss into the uh as discussed it will be discussed in today's lesson we are going to post your movie poster on Facebook with your picture using it's like a hashtag it's like creative writing the best movie posters will be featured again uh next week hello there and also good afternoon okay so it will be uh posted later on again don't you worry for those who will be coming late so as I've said a while ago uh after going through this module you are expected to identify the various elements is specifically on the types of that and conflict okay hello then Mariette Salvador baloran galoud and Christine Abad hello and also Alexander florante chapada and janame ratio okay now our character's infection you just have a quick review with the previous lesson that we have last time you're going to identify the character type based on the descriptions given uh later on type your answers on the comment section okay so let us make it quick so yeah it's just a quick review so for the first one we have characters who do not change throughout the course of the story so during our previous lesson we've tackled uh the different types of characters right we have static Dynamic flat what else round characters okay so those are your uh choices what do you think is the first one characters who do not change throughout the course of the stories is it static round flat or dynamic okay so I think your answers are again coming late so for this one we have the right answer is static okay so static characters do not change throughout the course of the story okay for number two we have fully developed figures in a story they are complex and show that okay what do you think is the type of character based on the given statement anyone it's a static character yeah Sarah Jane de Lutera static for number one while you're your answers are coming late and Michaela Summit guy also answered Statics what about for number two fully developed figures and story they are complex and showing that so your answers are what to get the answer for this one is round okay so we have now static end round for number three we have main character who pushes the action of the story and engages the reader's interest and empathy type of character yeah yeah so actually uh your answers for number two are all correct it's round so we're moving to uh number three main character who pushes the action of the story and engages the reader's interest and empathy it's was hello good afternoon okay so for number three yeah definitely you're right uh nestling it's protagonists when it comes to movie or a story in a book in style okay so we call it as the protagonist very good for uh Nestle and Dave Lewis you also get the right answer okay say yeah now let's move on to our uh formal discussion about our lesson for today now we'll begin it with the picture talk okay you have to give it Direction now say something about pictures based on your observations write down your observations on the comment section okay let us make it as quick as possible so for pick number one we have this one okay uh drop your answers now on the comment section observation know about the number one picture the first image okay what do you think is the the characters are doing and who are the characters okay so I'm going to wait for your answers so for pick number one it has something does it tell something about Ido or what okay so it is something to do with a shadow and a person who is uh trying to steal something maybe that is money very good yeah it has something to do with that shadow Thief what else a combination of words okay so actually these two yeah they it has something to do with Shadow Theory but then that shadow is uh certainly your self right pictures okay so let's have the second one yeah money is the root of all evil according to Clara J raphio wow corruption according to Sarah janeira what about the number two picture pick number two yeah parent wife and husband they call it a real Sin at home okay according also to yeah according to Alexander okay I think Paul it's all about herself yeah you make her own anime it means that your greatest enemy is your own self yeah what about pick number two it's very good yeah it's about blaming the the woman is blaming the uh man according also to Michaela it's argument so yeah definitely it's an argument said yeah so let's try to uh driver side the correct uh topic later on this is actually your uh semi details for our real lesson okay for the next one we have yeah bit number three which is currently the coast of uh the Cagayan flooding right now because of the typhoon right uh this or actually causes of the flooding yet particularly uh uh strawberry farms students uh worth 300 000 pesos and [Music] okay so speed number three illegal logging according to ID main balagawas okay according to Clara Joy rapio it's man versus nature Jan it's man versus nature now what is present in all the given pictures pick number two and then pick number three what is present in all the given pictures okay the I'm going to uh read your answers so be quick in answering please yeah man versus environment yeah that's bit number three so what is present all the given pictures conflict according to Alexander florante chapada okay is it conflict it's definitely conflict yeah so uh part of our lesson later on is about complete now we move to the next activity you have to say something about a given excerpts okay this is actually uh an original compositions in Euro Nissan kit because he did this part in our PowerPoint slide okay so yeah now let's have the first one as Nana puts on her field she remembered you think of the word remember she remembers her fiance Kiko three years back before swearing he would make her his wife someday yeah a tear Falls as she prepares to walk down the aisle of San Mateo Church said yes so that's the first one okay that's the first one so for number two we have in my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been pondering ever since John John whenever you feel like criticizing anyone he told me just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the Privileges okay so again nothing what what did You observe regarding the the statements okay does it says uh does it has something to do with the pictures a while ago overlana monkey nadan okay so we are talking about what the two statements the two particular statements are talking about plasma that's the previous times and then at present times and they're learning their lessons from it okay so that is already a flashback Nina okay now what do you know about a plan and actually we are talking about a plan the first little while ago is complete right and then we move on to the flashback s later on and types of flat okay according to Alexander past versus present Naman according to Michaela statement number one foreign and boyfriends right now wow okay so blood is the arrangement of events and action in a short story to convey a theme okay about uh plaid from our grade seven uh studies the grade 10 and then Senior High skills but then you need to master this okay especially if you're good in writing and if you're found in writing foreign so we have here the types of blood okay so we have the flashback the comp exposition uh rising and falling action conflict and Climax and then the resolution so we have how many one two three four five six seven times okay so it's actually an arrangement of event okay so let's have the flashback so on press back it starts from the current situation and goes back to a certain time in the past okay so pass is passed uh La Luna if we are talking about our uh love lives love lives so yeah so I'm going to give you a good example for a flashback yeah it's a literary piece and a serve also okay the world print up so Little Red Riding Hood and told her that he knew a short death Little Red Riding would throw back to what her mother a mother told her don't talk to any strangers and watch out for the wolf in the woods however it was too late she had already listened to the wolf's Direction uh seconds uh paragraph okay second statements I said yes so that is a good example of plasma Advanced student you are in a series of events and story yes Exposition it's a part of a story usually at the beginning where the author introduces the setting and the characters uh we are introducing our characters and the setting when we start with Once Upon a Time they live period that is already describing your setting and of course it will be falling under X position expose okay from the word exposed yeah so we have Julio kick at the Reps in front of him as you walk to the real jungle up the road the gravel road was fired with only the dust from his feet pricing up from the ground the Isabella summer was hotter and more humid than normal causing the wet shirt on his back to cling to his skin all the vessels still had his bike but they had broken the frame last month when he and his friends did some trick rides so he's describing the the here the the summer hit in uh Isabella this actually also a masterpiece of circuit then described young type of weather so it's available which says okay so this is a good example of exposition okay now moving on we also have the rising action it's unfolding of interrelated events in a story actually so we start to test back and then exposition racing action okay now for the example we have an insert from the match by Francisco arcellana it's a grade seven uh literature upon arriving he gives the match one by one to his children each math is driven with his child's name and symbols they are all happy to receive the mats so this is a good example of writing action because it is unfolding the interrelated events in a story okay yeah moving on we also have we conflict and when we say conflict it refers to the battle between two opposing forces in fiction conflict is used to create suspense and push the plan alone okay that's the reason why we have the images a while ago you know three particular images which is talking about uh conflict foreign [Music] so we have the types of conflict Eternal internal conflict and external conflict again your external conflict Man versus himself and then the four the rest are internal conflict we have again Society Man versus man man versus God and man versus uh neutral okay so we have uh this example of man versus Man character versus character from the movie Frozen Anna and Elsa disagree about whether or not Elsa should return home we all know this ends with else's Supply as striking Anna the scene easily represents Man versus man or person versus person conflict right say yes books okay so for Man Versus Society in a man we have from the movie Mulan okay Milan the emperor needs men and only men to help him defeat the hands mulan's father is called suar when Milan tries to step up as in his place she is this praise father Society okay so this is also a good example of man versus Society if you have your own examples you are free to uh comment down or key in your own examples and I'm going to read it in the comment section okay man versus society next according to someone is uh a scene at home versus man okay so man versus nature Naman this is from the movie Moana one is determine to see what's Beyond the Horizon but nature the ocean has different plan she struggle she struggles to make it past the waves and this scene is an ideal man versus nature conflict okay Horizon is nature because of the waves in the ocean so that is definitely a good example of man versus nature from um okay there is a conspiracy theory that Elsa be in isolation for a long time the whole story of Frozen simply happened inside Elsa's head or so that's a trivia according to Isaac Newton right okay so next we have Man versus dad actually good example Man versus God from a certain movie or the sea and I'm encouraging everyone if it's available because uh moving iron okay it's Odyssey okay there's a mid character there is audacious auditions travels home after the Trojan wire only to face several Gods who toward his attempts keeping him and pray for the Mediterranean for 10 years the use of multiple antagonist crates on growing conflict in this epic increasing the dramatic tension okay so because of the Gods stayed on uh ocean the Mediterranean Sea for a long time for 10 years and Um Kingdom [Music] but then uh The Story Goes by at the end because of something that he did which is actually his signature okay so that is man versus stud from the movie Odyssey so we have only five minutes yeah man versus yourself it is foreign conflict okay so what else okay so if you're fond of having our own self-pities then we are having a conflict within our self and that is external country okay today I hope now we also have here the climax is where the problem or conflict is at Peak of Interest okay this is uh I mean served from how my brother Leon brought home a wife but they have arrived home and Baldo was followed by his father and they had a conversation about their trip and about the bank he did ask a deal about Maria at first it's simple story okay if you have uh questions in mind and you still wanted a lot of examples you can uh actually go back to our literary pieces and then you're going to read it or there are still a lot of examples in the internet okay you're free to uh read from it yes those uh things are necessary for you especially that you are uh setting okay so yeah falling action in the other hand is a result of the events that happened in the climax in business Beauty and the Beast the following action of course after the fight at the Beast castle and after the Beast becomes human he realizes Bell has saved him with her love and then all of the other characters were affected by the enchantment slowly they turned to their human and that is definitely the following action that okay now moving on is the last stage we have the resolution it shows how a conflict or a problem is solved leading to its downward movement or end so this actually at the end that is the resolution okay so this one is a good example Romeo and Juliet are dead and their families and their field as they realize that their hatred has led to the deaths of their children okay this is a good example of resolution on how Romeo and Juliet ended okay so I think we will be uh lacking of time a new assessment and of course we'll be doing it uh during the next session we just like to percent again once again our challenge of the week because it's already uh 520 or 519 so your channels of the week are free to have your screenshots you're going to produce an original movie poster portraying a type of conflict it could be man versus man man versus nature Man versus dad Man Versus Society Man versus himself and uh you're going to post your movie posters on Facebook with your picture using the hashtag Israelite creative writing the best movie posters will be featured next week and reminder Saturday foreign Sunday or Monday I will already be in the final stage of my uh preparation for the PowerPoint okay so I would like to thank you all for another journey in the world of creativity in writing but then before I leave let me leave you with this quote from under Bernstein nothing is given to a man on Earth his struggle is built into the nature of life and conflict is possible the hero is a man who lets no obstacle prevent him from pursuing the values he has chosen thank you very much and see you again on Tuesday
