Electrolux Wall Oven: Steam Bake & Steam Roast

Tips for Steam Cooking

  • Prepping for Steam Cooking
    • Ensure oven is cold.
    • Pour 3 cups of water into the bottom of the oven cavity.
    • Do not add water if the oven is warm or during the steam cycles.
    • Follow recipe for preheating, cook time, and temperature.
    • More moisture present: potential condensation on handle or door.

Steam Bake

  • Recommended for:
    • Fluffy and flavorful breads and pastries.
    • Improved browning, higher rise, flaky crusts.
  • Setting Steam Bake
    • Touch Oven Modes and scroll to Steam Bake.
    • Follow instructions for setting temperature.
    • Touch Start and set desired cook time after preheating.
    • Use a flat rack in position 3 for best results.

Steam Roast

  • Recommended for:
    • Roasting meat or poultry.
    • Crispy outside, juicy inside.
  • Setting Steam Roast
    • Touch Oven Modes and scroll to Steam Roast.
    • Follow instructions for setting temperature.
    • Touch Start and set desired cook time.
    • Oven turns off automatically when cook time ends.
  • Rack Positioning Tips
    • Lowest rack position for poultry.
    • Whole chicken on rack position 2.
