Outlier Detection with IQR

a box and a half above so if I go here's a box box and a half that's what 1.5 IQR it's that at 38 and so that's about like right there so anything in signing numbers inside these two invisible lines are considered not outliers anything outside the invisible lines anything on the far left or far right would be considered outliers in our case the data only had two outliers two low outliers and no high outliers all right so I'm hoping that we'll have that helps just give you another example of how this stuff is calculated again even though I'm calculating this stuff by hand remember you're supposed to do this with a computer right especially as the data sets get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger it becomes harder and harder to do this stuff by hand all right okay so on our next video I'll be talking a little bit more about using the computers to calculate this all right so this has been quantitative data for quantitative data analysis for skewed or non-normal data all right all right well I'm uh this is Matt to show an intro stats and I'll see you next time
