N I was trying to gr you you man to G [Music] me we are in tying today because our new office is here and we are hungry because it's lunchtime we've asked you guys in the community for recommendations of the best places to eat here there are some legendary places and there are some that are somewhat new we're going to try a few of them for you guys over the next few days so we are right now going to our very first location which is G rast meat okay you can cut to John and then now so that they can entertain you with some side check so they didn't tell us what we're going to have what do you think it'll be tying Legend based on the direction that we are going yeah K you go CLE about is that why I'm on the episode let's go we are finally here at the first stop which is Kay Ros me a brand with a very very long history in Singapore these are recommendation from uh the community they say that yes it used to be very mediocre after they exited Community member claim that the sun has just taken over and imp so we've ordered the pl John has ordered a four Combi so let's try it the sign of a good roast meat is crispy this and melt in my mouth this m m the texture of every section is what I expect and the flavor is quite nice it's not too salty like the tip is salty but the rest is just nice sausage of Sal oh this one tastes a bit to me I wouldn't order it on its own but in the on S I need deep in 50% into sauuce nice M I'm impressed it has that thing that I always look for in t which is that stickiness on theide caramel yeah yeah yeah the top part even though it like a bit sh right but it's very sweet I I think based on everything I've tried so far they have flavored the meats right very nicely and just enough so that when you eat it with rice it's not too intense not too salty not too overwhelming it's a good balance but then once you mix in the sauce ready then everything become to me it becomes a little bit too much everything is oh I love the SAU yeah I think everything is not hot enough yeah yeah yeah yeah this was the same how do we rate this place a quick recap of our rating system John so one is if you are in the area it's good to have two is that it's worth a detour so if you are going to drive fast licing make a stop here three if this is a journey that is like okay this Sunday we're going to go and eat this which we stole from the miching guy and it is called you like fish Village is known for their Curry fish hit uh it used to be a Haw girl they branched out and open up their own [Music] restaurant look at the camera and go like wow H then is's in the shot then can you also do can you also yeah wow look at that your face not excited look at that you see the piz W look at that your face not excited look at that at piz amazing what is this y okay next level oh discovered hope they put our logo next to them wow I think the authentic reaction is the kind for he just go first I think we need to pour the hotel CH inside M it doesn't have the usual fake organ taste I'm genuinely pleasantly surprised oh my gosh guys oh my gosh oh my go oh my [Music] God what the hell it's like a mix of like bak and to W with the rice really got K I come here just for this and we haven't tried the car so thinking that these two things was not enough we stop it I see I I was trying to gross you you man to gr me let's go you really crispy okay I try it don't have the smelly it's not too oily yeah yeah yeah yeah so far everything I love this restaurant you know I'm going to try even coriander just in case the coriander nice stop bro okay I guess it's time for the C pish guys try the meat wow I like it it's nice so this is their Clay Pot fish but they also have the Nona style yes yeah and in terms of it being like middle spicy right I feel the spice but isn't burning to the point where I cannot enjoy the dish we are done eating and we are going to give it the star rating right now and we agreed that we can can 2.5 right yes ready 3 2 1 3 2.5 hey you two so average of 2.5 which means it's worth a trip down if it's not too far it's worth a bigger detour if you're already driving out the reason why I give you a three right is because back in the day when I used to do like food videos right you would occasionally chance upon a place where everybody will get this feeling yeah you will tell something everybody will go wo and that's why I enjoy doing food videos and this is like reminds me of that we are moving to the next place right now and we also going to change clothes and it will be on a different day day two of our thaing food hunt and we are currently going to our first location of the day which is th sing fish soup but spell with a h so it's thigh I love we're trying to get there before 10 because this store opens at 10 sells out by 2:30 it's apparently damn freaking famous guys the most avered dish in our [Music] community we've ordered the two recommended dishes today double fish soup so it has both the sliced fish as well as the fried fish and then right everybody say you have to order the Ean for this one this is the tomyam seafood so it comes with I think soong there's fish front paste balls and then I think there's crap stick inside also we requ requested for them to add the fried egg you want to try all the same thing the first yes let's try soup [Applause] first wow interesting okay I wish we did order email so we can taste the soup a 50% em so some feedback has said that actually the plane run not as nice so that's why they all suggest this and I think it works quite well I'm going to keep asking to take the chili sauce I think there's something okay special looking chili sauce slicey e the is the fish even on its own the fried fish nice okay now we go for [Music] the wow some more special to me I'm usually not a fan of tomyam but today I a fan of tomyam it's so gentle it's not like the very sour heat you straight away kind of tomam soup but the ingredients really don't place it's like it's big and it's generous it's like the the one thing I love about prom paste right youve done right is that you still get a texture of eating an actual PR this one has that and for the amount of ingredients all that yes I think it's $7 wow so now we go down to the rating again 1 2 3 1.5 ah two is worth a detour maybe I change I think I have not tried this type of f soup before and so if you're curious about the taste this is definitely worth a detour because the idea here is that how can you create a snack that is actually nutritious insects would you eat a cockroach no but they will never approve the only thing that I don't need to eat was the taranta so you think if you close your eyes you cannot tell that you're eating an insect honestly yeah you sometimes you might think it's like a or something like the m one is like man let's go so we're on the way to our second location Jula Maggie Goring and prata it's a 24-hour place that is known for their prata and Maggie [Music] Goring yeah all right thank you can you do the slow like yeah okay let's go be Rose John going to do the 360 one just for fun what does that mean gimble God W we've ordered the Maggie Goring one with mutton and the other one just chicken two k this is tsunami PR a PR that has been like mashed up together with two soft boy eggs Curry oh so you want do here you go cheers do we destroy the Ys here we goat we try cannot wait let's go okay no okay no Curry first get this over and done with nice almost buttery it has the perfect balance of crispy and chewy but wait till eat soce I want to cry is this the fish curry here slightly more sour than what I usually eat y y yo the M Curry no no joke no really no joke after I tried the fish car first I was going to say I rather have the prata plain cuz the p on its own is really very ni but the m c is like w I love okay tsunami you break how do it I do it my own star [Music] whatever anybody else could done this now the me nice nice nice me you really destroy this shs such aesthetic let's go okay let's go okay bom I'm a bit confused because it's like this is not PR you know what I mean I think I know why it's called tunami so like usually a practice right is that when you say ban right they will usually just flood it with K cuz ban means flood okay so to elevate the flooded right it's a tsunami wow it's very nice there I would say I actually would love it even more if it wasn't it was a Mot so there like meat and everything like CH but like this is this is really it's probably on the menu like tsunami or or some right anyway joh had to take a call but he's already tried this before so we're just going to dig in yes let's go all I think he'll be set he may I it a few times today true do we destroy the Y here we go later later we try anybody else could done this now the me I'm not used to mag ging being so dry I'm usually used to it being a bit more moist I do agree that the seasoning is is right though and the meat is also a bit dry I assume the gr the Magie gr will be the same so had the chicken okay let's go oh it tastes way better is the sauce way better is the sauce oh we didn't Mi that one no we didn't the chicken got the chicken is Sal it's almost like tandi chicken kind of taste the chicken salty it's very elevated I've never mixed before thanks guys based on our impression I think safe to say they get the chicken mix the sauce one 2 three two oh wow this is the first time we all agree after things that I would come here to try is like just I mentioned the tsunami PR is fresh I've never tried it outside before and then there is the K PR that I think is better than the ones I've tried outside yeah I think the pr d uh very tasty so if your PR tasty then you really just add whatever you want um the mutton Curry is a stand up for me and what I like is that it's also 24 hours M and the service very prom and this Curry so damn good this is why I give it to the m is like 10 layers of Heavens like I feel like they marinated a goat alive much I feel that one oh yeah yeah so we'll see you back in the office okay so that was tying we hope you enjoyed it what is our favorite place you
