Kidney Anatomy and Blood Flow Overview

okay so in this view of the model here we have uh in terms of blood flow at least we have the rqh artery obviously the arculate vein we have the interlobular or cortical radiate artery and the interlobular or cortical radiate vein we have the peritubular capillaries being red and the blue vessels here and then we have the vase of recta which are the red and blue vessels here um in terms of the actual nephron we have the glomerulus in here surrounded by this yellow colored glomerular capsule now remember the combination of both the glomerulus and the glomerular capsule is called the renal corpuscle so these are representing renal corpuscles now you've got the renal corpuscle you've got the proximal convoluted tubule you've got the nephron loop the distal convoluted tubule the collecting material and the collecting duct in this view we have the afferent arterial here the glomerulus and the efferent arterial we have the glomerular capsule the proximal convoluted tubule here the nephron loop and the distal convoluted tubule in this view we have the afferent arterial a glomerulus and the efferent arterial we have the glomerular capsule as well as a portion the beginning portion of the proximal convolutubule and a portion of the distal convoluted tubule in this cross-sectional view of the kidney we have the renal or fibrous capsule we have the renal cortex and the renal medulla we have the renal pyramids we also have the minor calyx or caleces the major calysis and the renal pelvis
