um of course in this truth we we get happy about you know we israel god chose us that's that's great but god left a playbook here which is the bible on what we could expect in this walk uh as you all know look we we we tearing babylon down this summer we got the church blitz and esau's kingdom is it is it going to go by just letting us do this is the point i'm trying to make we're making strides and bounds though but they're not gonna just go in peace but give me that romans chapter 15 verse four the book of romans chapter 15 and verse four four whatsoever things were written in the fourth time were written for our learning that's why we read the bible that's why we study the scriptures because what was written before time was written for our learning read that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope the patience and the comfort of the scriptures might have hope it's because the bible tells us what's going to happen what to expect how to overcome the situations that befall us we can read our forefathers and our foremothers their examples what to do what not to do and things of that nature to live in unity as believers in christ give me romans chapter 8 verse 35. i read this the other day and paul says something super heavy story verse 34 the book of romans chapter 8 and verse 34 who is he that condemneth it is not it is christ that die yea rather that is risen again who is even at the right hand of god who also maketh intercession for us re who shall separate us from the love of christ who should separate us from the truth from the love of christ read shall tribulation should tribulation read or distress read or persecution read or famine nakedness or peril or sword paul said a whole lot in that one verse concerning different things that a believer would have to go through let's start with tribulation first we're going to go through all of these give me the definition of tribulation he said who shall separate us from the love of christ shall tribulations give me the definition of tribulation read uh you see that right here it's on the screen too can you see that blow it up a little bit can you see it i see it all right come on tribulation a cause of great trouble or suffering a state of great what is that a great trouble or a great trouble or suffering give me the uh the synonyms right there read the synonyms right there trouble worry anxiety burden cross to bear cross to bear affliction ordeal trial trial adversity hardship tragedy trauma reverse setback blow difficulty difficulty okay that's all i want on that so exhorting them to continue in the faith and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of god and that's what this class is about exhortation through much tribulation will we enter the kingdom of god so we we're expecting this it shouldn't catch us off guard that troubles difficulties a cause of trouble or suffering happens for us to get the kingdom of heaven give me that in deuteronomy 4 verse 29. the book of deuteronomy chapter 4 and verse 29 come on but if from thence thou shalt seek the lord thy god thou shalt find him if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul and that's most of us in this truth when we heard that we was israel we had to keep the commandments but most of us went headlong we we wanted to know what the lord our god required of us in this life read on when thou art in tribulation and all these things come upon thee start at verse 30 again verse 30 when thou art in tribulation it says when thou art in tribulation not if there's no if there there's a when you are in tribulation read and all these things are come upon thee even in the latter days which we are in the latter days read if thou turn to the lord thy god and shall be obedient into his voice read for the lord thy god is a merciful god he will not forsake thee neither destroy thee no nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swear unto them so we know this he's not going to forsake us he's not going to forget us if we keep the commandments in the faith of christ he's not going to forget us so even though these tribulations come upon us they're not here to destroy us what are they here for give me sir rock chapter 2 verse 1. what what is these here for what why do we go through tribulation read the book of sarah chapter 2 and verse 1 come on my son and thou come to serve the lord prepare thy soul for temptation set thine heart all right and constantly endure and make not haste in the time of trouble read verse 1 again sorak chapter 2 and verse 1 my son if thou come to serve the lord prepare thy soul for temptation prepare thy soul for your tribulations for hardship for troubles read set die harder right set your mind all right read and constantly endure constantly endure what the tribulations the hardships the problems we are in captivity this is not our arrest this captivity is set up not to go our way this is not for us to grow old in this is this is for us to get our lives together so that we can go home read set die harder right and constantly endure and make not haste in the time of trouble it may not hasten the time of what in the time of trouble isn't one of the synonyms for tribulation trouble so when tribulation come don't make haste what does that mean making rash decisions outside of the laws of god that's what distress give me the definition of distress because trouble could be your wife your husband your children your job your health your any issues that you could have in this deuteronomy 28 to be exact if had to go through 200 years of shadow slavery then we went through jim crow now they got all types of food that is destroying us they put murder in our music they made our sisters comfortable with reverse 67 verse 67 in the morning thou shalt say with god it were even and that even thou shalt say with god it were mourning everybody's felt like that you woke up at eight in the morning knowing you had to go to work you would you wish for five o'clock you wanted five o'clock to come so the day would be over with and then oh gotta get ready for work in the morning in a constant cycle a legalized it read that the book of sarah chapter 30 and verse 21 give not over thy mind to heaviness and afflict not thyself and thine own counsel this goes into your depression give not over thy mind to heaviness what is heaviness that thought that you keep meditating on that that is normally not a good thought what am i going to do it's called worry what am i going to do what am i going to do what am i going to do what how am i going to pay this bill how am i going to do this and you keep thinking and thinking and meditating on that same thought to the point where it becomes heavy read that next part on it and afflict not thyself indict on counsel brothers do that all the time i don't know how i'm gonna do it so i'm i'm gonna wing it when they got brothers that they could call for counsel they could call brothers for counsel godly counsel instead of you know what i'm just gonna wing it i'm just going to do whatever i i want to do what uh i'm going to make a mess and then i'm of man and the joyfulness of a man prolongeth his days so that means if you were if you have a i don't know say a happy life but a content life and you understand how this life works said that your days will be prolonged so what shortens your days read verse 23 love thy own soul and comfort thy heart remove sorrow far from thee for sorrow have killed many sorrow has killed many anxiety depression have killed many reed and there is no prophet there is there's no prophet in these these hard heavy sorrowful thoughts it doesn't fix anything read verse 24 envy and wrath shorten the life and carefulness bring it age before the time carefulness read verse 25 a cheerful and a good heart will have a care of his meat and diet but the point i wanted was 21 and 22 and 23. so reading the scriptures to get that comfort of heart like we read in romans chapter 15 and 4 would keep you from being depressed because if you study give me that in first timothy chapter 2 verse 15. if you study and rightly divide the word of truth then you know how this is going to end anyway you understand that you're just playing a role now you're keeping the laws and the faith of jesus christ now you put in your brick now because you understand what the reward for that is after this whether christ come back first or you die and then you come back with christ come back it's just that simple read the 30 and give me verse 15. so let's actually touch on bodily health we did mental health but let's touch on bodily hell because yeah there's we got brothers and sisters sick amongst us the book of sarah chapter 30 and verse 15. come on health and goodness state of body are above all gold and a strong body above infinite wealth read there is no riches above a sound body and no joy above the joy of the hearts read death is better than a bitter life or continual sickness it's so this is so this is some of our plate some of our plight is a continual sickness whether it be diabetes cancer uh stds or what have you because what we've done in the world or hereditary but we got to take up our cross we got to bear our cross whatever it is and that's the point because the christian church will tell you oh uh uh uh uh jesus christ die for me so i won't be sick no more in jesus christ's name i'm healed and you let don stewart spit on you or benny him put his hands on you that's not how it works that's not how it works some of us just have to deal with the cars we was dealt but guess what that doesn't change the fact that we the israelites and we got to keep the commandments and the faith of christ over the distress read and the lord said unto satan behold he is in thine hand but save his life the lord told him you could touch his touch his health but don't kill him read so when satan forth from health completely failed job was an upright righteous man perfect man he kept his integrity the first time that he was tried so this is his second trial which is the trial of distress his health is being tested read then said his wife unto him do his thou still retain thine integrity curse god and die but he said unto her thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh what shall we receive good at the hand of god and shall we not receive evil in all this did not job sin with his lips so so he he makes a god on his wife like you will tell me to curse god and die he's like i received good that our leadership told us to prepare for a famine right that's right because they understand and they see in the scriptures these things come in the past and us as believers we should believe that evil time and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied what's going to satisfy us food because we prepared i know brothers and sisters they go outright and say the famine ain't going to happen
