Animation Tutorial with After Effects

Introduction

  • Welcome and introduction to the video tutorial.
  • Purpose: Creating an animation using After Effects.

Setting Up Layers

  • Select all layers and toggle switch mode.
  • Check the box for 3D layer.

Creating a Camera

  • Right-click to create a new camera.
  • Use presets without changing settings.
  • Adjust view settings to two wheels.

Adjusting Layers' Position

  • Sky Layer: Press P to position backwards.
  • Clothes Layer: Press P to position backwards.
  • Moon Layer: Press P to position backwards.
  • Repeat for layers 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, moving each backwards.

Scaling Layers

  • Sky Layer: Select and press S, adjust scale.
  • Clothes Layer: Press S to scale.
  • Moon Layer: Press S to scale.
  • Layer 5: Press S to scale.
  • Continue scaling for layers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 as described.
  • Adjust positions after scaling as needed.

Creating Camera Animation

  • Right-click on this card, go to camera, and create an orbit null.
  • Move anchor point to the center.
  • Press P, create keyframe at the first second.
  • At the 7-second mark, zoom in and adjust position.

Parallax Effect

  • Adjust settings to see the parallax effect for depth.
  • Use CTRL + Z to undo any changes if necessary.

Adding Rotation to Camera

  • Select null object, go to first second, hold shift, press R.
  • Open rotation properties, adjust rotation keyframes.

Enhancing Animation with Moon Movement

  • Select the moon layer, press P and create keyframes for movement.
  • Adjust movement positions for realism.

Adding Stars

  • Right-click, create a new solid layer named "Stars" in white.
  • Position it behind other layers.
  • Use cc star burst effect: Change scatter and speed settings.
  • Add a glow effect for stars and adjust glow settings.
