what's up what's up guys simon here in this episode of tech visibility we're gonna go ahead and review the sony wf c500 earbuds now the sony wfc 500 earbuds are very popular in fact they have over 5000 reviews on amazon pretty much all five stars they're lightweight they come with a 10 hour battery life and then you can get up to 20 hours by recharging them in the case we're gonna go ahead unbox review these guys and see if they are worth your near 80 now if you're interested in this product the link is below in the description and let's take a look what these guys are all about i'm excited as i've reviewed so many earbuds these were recommended to me i'm going to see if this entry or so level here but is worth your money before i get into this video i ask that you guys subscribe to the channel like this video if you enjoyed it and check out techvisibility.com for the latest product news and reviews let's get into this [Music] okay so here we go back of the box i'm gonna go ahead and remove the little tape that holds these guys in with my trusted knife okay so i got this out the front of the box just says 10 plus 10 hours custom eq now you could download the sony app to get that custom eq i'm going to do that and play with it but it opens up like so and it's actually a pretty interesting box design so this part comes out inside you have another box so it's like your double unboxing this pops open and you get some instructions they pop out the leds will shine all right first impression the case is like a pill very small tiny case i do like it it's very neat uh first case that i've seen that kind of has a see-through design on the other end and then pretty dark on this end because it's all black inside but a see-through design that's really neat then you get your extra ear tips i actually like this type of packaging the ear tips have a little piece of plastic you can pop them out and they give you two different sizes a usb a to usbc plug which will plug into the back of this for charging very light case so very impressed so far and then you have your manual in here with just simple instructions on how to use it so let's take a quick look at the quick start guide that's pretty much the most important aspect not sure what they're showing here but it looks like if you have water in there they could get stuck pretty interesting all right so that's about it i'm not going to go too far into this manual you could get it online and it looked like there was a lot of pages so let's review the earbuds themselves okay big drivers on these guys of course they have the two tabs for not having them die or overcharged very good magnet on these by the way much stronger than some of the other earbuds i've seen you could tell they're charging by the indicators glowing here they will not fall out love that the case has a sturdy hinge very very good quality i mean these feel great they're not that much bigger than the third generation air pods that i have here so very thin case i do like it i'm gonna say that's a positive they pop in like so so you push them in here and twist them in to fit your ear i'm getting really good noise canceling here guys and i'm gonna go ahead and pair these with my iphone so it does have really good rubber surround i don't need to change my tips i do find this case to be great all right let's get them paired up so we'll open our iphone here i'm gonna go into bluetooth there they are the wfc 500s they show up right away it says bluetooth connected and like a european accent which is neat i'm going to go ahead and first play a rap song to see how they sound give you my honest opinion i'm about 60 volume they sound great so far very clear and they feel like they're not going to fall out i could work out with these oh good base man sony makes good good ear buds i'm at about 85 volume so very good bass i feel like the bass is overpowering the vocals of the rap song i'm gonna play a different song where i could get a better feel for acoustics okay and if we could do that we'll see how that is [Music] it's clear they're very clear i feel a little more immersed in this uh with these earbuds than some of the other ones i uh tested i wouldn't say these are the best earbuds on the market but for about 80 dollars they're not bad i think for 80 dollars so you can get better earphones such as the amazon echo butts i mean they sound really good so now that i have fine-tuned these a little bit by turning up the bass a little more they sound a little bit better so download the sony app it's the headphones connect app and in there you could do the eq and fine-tune these if you really want to get them perfect it won't really change the driver's output but overall these are really good and they fit really snug are they the best earbuds for 80 dollars i don't think they are there's just so many choices out there that you could probably get i do like them they feel great they fit great they're lightweight or just enough um weight that they feel comfortable now these are button presses so on your right earbud you double tap for the next song pause is one tap etc on the left ear bud it's the opposite or the reverse so that's really neat so instead of the controls being a touch control these are press controls and the left will control the lower volume or less volume by tapping its less volume by holding it you'll go to basically mute and with the right it's volume up so i do like the buttons they feel good i'm not sure if you guys prefer buttons or not each of these has a microphone on each end as well in terms of the music quality really good i'm going to go ahead and put them back in and make a phone call and give you guys a perspective when you pop them in you place them sideways and then you turn them in like so so they get a good snug fit in your ear and they should be aligned with your earlobe like that so really really innovative in terms of staying in your ear i don't feel like these guys are coming out let's place a phone call hey what's up it's simon i am testing the sony wfc 500s how do i sound you sound great now i do sound a little bit nasally talking just so you guys know and i don't know if you could pick that up on the call all right he says i sound great so overall i'm happy i wouldn't use these for my calls if i did i'd probably have one ear out like this it sounds way better i can hear my voice a little bit clearer however they sound good uh 10 hour battery life pretty cool hey thanks for taking a call okay bye all right so i just hung up now 10 hour battery life is not a lot on earbuds anymore i'm sorry there's just so many earbuds out there and 20 hours total is definitely not a lot as well there's earbuds that i've tested that now provide up to 160 hours granted the case is a lot bigger that's the tozo t12 pros now other earbuds i've tested fall shorter than 10 hours but they are there are also earbuds that give you multiple charges on the case and for some reason these sonys do not so you're not getting the best battery life now with the sonys you're getting a ipx4 splash proof water resistance it's not going to be your best bet for sweat resistance there's earbuds that now are coming out with ipx8 30 minutes submerging in water there's ipx5 and so forth seven so you really just want to make sure that you're using these for the right thing now i do think you could use them while working out however it doesn't have the best sweat resistant or waterproof resistance rating so again that's a downside of these sonys wfc 500s now they do have dse which has high frequency sound restoration which is lost generally in compression honestly i didn't feel like they were the best sounding earbuds but they're good so comment below if you have them i will say that they're small and lightweight i do like the pill box shape i'm happy they're using a usbc but again there's just so many options out there guys that for eighty dollars i'd probably or even 50 or so dollars i'd go with them amazon echo two buds i found those to have better features uh active noise canceling etc there's also earbuds with transparency mode as well as active noise canceling better battery life so no go for me on the sony wfc 500s in terms of comparing them they're not bad but they're probably not the top choice out there so i hope you enjoyed this unboxing and review of the sony wfc 500s check out some of the other earbuds i have on my channel if you haven't done so already there's a playlist for all the earbuds and you'll see better value in some of the earbuds out there that you could purchase for the same amount of money if not less hope you enjoyed this review if you did give us a like subscribe to the
