Client Acquisition and Collaboration Strategies

all of these templates in this folder are in your online learning library and appropriate sections but I thought it would be good to have them in one place and talk a little bit about them on the call because at the end of the day what these are are if you had to you know go out there and get your next client there are things that allow you to talk to the right people who you know might be putting you in that right direction so the first one this is called um pitching for Partnerships and it's just a general template showing you what makes up a good pitch so if you as a coach are trying to partner and one of the activities I have you do in this program is think about who is your ideal client and where do they who has them in their audience so in other words if I'm a health coach and I work with women in their 50s it might make sense for me locally to partner with a mud spa or an acupuncturist or you know something like that so if you're looking to like team up with locally or online naturopaths therapists functional medicine doctors things like that um what you want to do in a pitch is introduce yourself obviously but communicate why do you feel like it would be a win-win partnership and why are you reaching out in the first place and then kind of leading to do you want to explore collaborating on a phone call this week or something like that so kind of leading it to a phone chat or the next step of a conversation so you can always anytime I give you templates you're going to probably have to adapt them to your voice you're probably going to have to insert your own Niche Etc but um this is an example of something I've used in the past and it's just hey first name I love the work you're doing um helping you know local individuals with their health and wellness or whatever I'm not sure if this resonates but are you looking to blank and this you could change so not sure if this resonates but are you looking to get more foot traffic into your Center I was thinking we could team up to do a special workshop on the topic of blank like you could tweak it to that or you could say not sure if this resonates but are you looking to um do you find your clients ever also need mindset support in addition to the naturopathic stuff that you're giving them um I'd love to set up a 15-minute intro chat to see if a partnership would bring benefit to your patients and more referrals to your Center or I'd love to see if a 15-minute intro chat to talk about possibly doing a workshop together could be a way to bring more foot traffic into your Center or something like that so um then you'd share what you do and if you wanted you could also insert like what's the goal of the partnership or why would it be beneficial and then sometimes I like to see like is there a way to add something stand outish or humorous or memorable so if you wanted you could always put like a meme or an image or like something that helps you stand out you do not have to do this but I found sometimes I get a better response if I do something kind of funny um so yeah does that make sense and my encouragement to you guys would be pick one of these templates this week as a mini Challenge and use it in at least one pitch I want you to guys I want everybody here to come back next week and like say you've pitched yourself to some opportunity right um and let you can let me know what what it was and you know if you want me to look at your draft or something I can look at it um okay so then the second Pitch template is more if you were going to do like a guest training with somebody or like a live collab or a guest webinar or a Content Swap and so what that really means is um like let's say you find somebody who has your ideal clients and they have an Instagram account and you have an Instagram account and you guys could maybe do a live together on each other's pages and let's say they focus on sleep and you focus on nutrition and their sleep coach and you're a nutrition coach well maybe they could talk about how sleep impacts your nutrition and Cravings on your page and you on their page could talk about how nutrition impacts how well how deep you sleep or something all right so you might say something like hey hope all is well and then you could insert something personalized if you checked out their profile um and then this you can change to like wanted to see if you looks like we're both you know in The Entrepreneur Space um would you be interested in exploring a collab together and then you can list some examples if you wanted to um then sometimes I just leave it that so sometimes on Instagram because Instagram's a casual platform and because um short is useful sometimes I just ask that and that's it and then they'll say yeah sure like what do you have in mind and then we continue the conversation but if you wanted to have a more formal one you could introduce a couple topics you think that you could do with somebody so I have a few topics I think your audience would find useful and insert some titles and then this part I would take out so this part is about we could also form a referral partnership um something like that so this I would take out if you're new if you've been in the business a while and you are um ready to have like some kind of affiliate or referral type of commission thing with somebody you could keep that in there um and then they ask the question would you be open to setting up a collab chat this week and then this last part is if you wanted to include some testimonials of like people who've loved your free trainings or your lives or something like that you could but you could totally take that out if you wanted to and that's it so and then I have a template that if you didn't know them do you just change the first paragraph to be talking about um maybe like referencing how you found them or like that you loved one of their podcasts or something like that and it's kind of the same gist but we just if you already had been following them for a little while you could use this one if you haven't you'd probably want to say something along the lines like I discovered your content because blah blah blah blah um and that's fine so does anybody have questions about this process for the template no okay how many of you have used this before in your business yay so wait yes I can't see everybody on my screen so I don't know if anybody else raised their hand but good job okay this next one is free this is like the easiest one I I think um because it's a free template to do some free mini coaching sessions so this is for you if you're new and you want to get some coaching experience you want to get some testimonials that you don't have yet and you want to give the experience of your coaching to have the opportunity to then see if somebody wants more of it or see if somebody knows somebody who'd want also the experience of coaching Etc so this is good if you're like looking to expand your network and you have like some people in your network already on social media or people you know or co-workers or whatever that you'd be willing to offer some free mini sessions to a free just a single session so it doesn't have to be many sessions but a single session um and you might use something like this so you'd say hey name hope all is well not sure if you or someone you know would be interested but I'm currently looking to and you can change this to like impact more or help more when you know High achieving women in accomplishing whatever you help them accomplish um I'm going to be offering three spots and you could add like this week or three spots this month or something like that for a free 30-minute demo session um and if they enjoy it we can talk about coaching together we could talk more about coaching together would you or someone you know be interested in something like this have a great day so that could be a way to if you guys have ever I'm a big fan of that book The prosperous coach and his whole marketing method is giving people the experience of coaching in a short small dose although he says do a two-hour coaching session with I do not recommend that's really long um but he that's what he did to grow his business all the way really he just focused on giving free coaching sessions and then seeing if they wanted more support and being good at you know Discovery calls and that literally was it so if you've never done this yet this is something that could be really useful and I want to add one bonus tip for this if you're someone like solvi who sometimes Selby has some um friends on Instagram that are like mini influencer type of people who post about traveling like solby you could tweak this to being like I know you're an uh like an awesome influencer in your space and I would love it I would I'd be curious if you'd be open to a free mini coaching session in exchange for a social media Instagram story shout out if you find the session useful something like that or you could say an Instagram post shout out if you didn't want it to go away after 24 hours because Instagram stories goes away I've actually done that too a while ago with um somebody who's like more of like a health has a lot of health coaches as followers and I did a free session with her and then she just posted a Instagram story about why it was useful and like what she got out of it and tagged me and so that I did get some new followers from that so that could be something you do if you're more like you want to do a little bit of uh do it with somebody who could give you a shout out or something like that and they might say no but most people like being able to have a free mini session um all right any questions about that one no it's this for email or foreign it could be for either so I've used this one on Instagram specifically um the longer ones I usually send over email so if it's like a local local Partnerships and stuff I usually send over email however I find I sometimes get a better response if I send it on Instagram and then they see it and then they'll say like oh could you email this to me or like here's my email or like you know so sometimes I actually do both or I start with social media and then if they're like oh I need to see this in my email because I got to remember to respond or something then I'll forward it over so I would kind of do a split I would test doing a little bit of both but I've found lately social media messages have actually gotten more response all right any other questions about that no okay and then this one's a local one so let's say you guys have a flyer or you could create a flyer you know something like that um this would be an email you could use if you are a current let's pretend that you go to a certain Yoga Studio in your area or you go to the acupuncturist or there's a health food store you shop at and you think your ideal clients would be there too potentially and if you have a specific online Niche like climbers like Hallie Hallie the only thing you change here is if you're going to do something local like put flyer somewhere is you'd probably say you help women like you would have a little more General and you'd give specific problems you help with like bullet points about here's examples of what you can use coaching for but um if you're just focusing on climbers at a local health food store it's going to be harder because it's local if that makes sense you know what I mean like that brings in different types of people so if you're open to working with more types of people the change you'd make in a flyer is you probably would be a little bit more General you could still say women over 40 you could still say you know women that's I'm all good for that but um you might not say like specifically just climbers so anyways this wire Outreach would be um hope you're having a great week introduce yourself if you're a customer of this business that will help you obviously because they probably would rather talk collaborate with part people who already shopped there but if you aren't you can take that out as you can say I'm a customer of blank um and then I'm also and then insert what you do a health a certified health coach for blah blah blah um and then you could share a little more about what you do so like I help with blah blah blah I wanted to see if um you have Flyers about your services that I could share with clients who want to and then insert how that whatever they do and then likewise I'd love the opportunity to drop off some flyers about my coaching to display in your counter or Services complement each other so this would be if you know you know they have Flyers so obviously or have like business cards that you've seen on their counter or something like that um and then at the bottom we have something that says if you know anybody looking for a and then insert your type of coaching that you do let me know I'm a referral commission program if you do I highlighted this because you can take that out if you don't and then that's it so that'd be like if you wanted to do some flyers this second one is more like if you had a chiropractor in your area or something and you wanted to see if um you could offer as like a bonus or a thing that you could bundle in with something they do a free session a free mini session you could send this message so I'd love to offer you know it to go with your chiropractic Services a free mini session to help them with their movement at home to prevent some of the back pain or common aches and pains or something um and so you put you'd offer a pre-session no oops no obligations um and you can adapt how many spots you want to have or something like that and you can also change the language of this you could say like would you like to schedule something or would this be of interest stuff like that so some of these I wrote a long time ago and I'm I've adapted my language too so anyways um okay and then the last one is podcast pitching so this is a podcast pitch template and what I have found and I put both here I put a long podcast pitch template at the top and a short one at the bottom and I found that lately once again the short one has been performing better and when I send it on social media as opposed to email it's been working better for me this has been a shift it used to be better to do the longer ones and do it on email for some reason now I find it's easier on social media and shorter so this one's pretty self-explanatory but does anybody have questions or also does this spur any ideas for us what one template are you going to pick this week and who are you gonna who do you think is the first person you could do this with hello hey um so yes this uh gave me some good ideas um I just started it's my first day I haven't even done anything yet yeah so you you know you might focus on Niche this week but yeah well then you know you gave me this idea for um well this is not new for me this business I basically started a long time ago and um but not getting anywhere um but I mean I always had a few clients here and there and um but never really working hardcore on it and if I try to and as we um if you remember our conversation when we first met um it just uh you know that's why I'm here is to understand how to do all this it's I'm stuck um but um and I like the idea of going to the chiropractors because I have a lot and I know a lot I go to them so that's if I'm once I get through my Niche this week that's something that I'm going to approach yeah thank you nice I love that yeah definitely and you know there could be one what I find is like when I get in the motion of something I do I started doing again because I forgot that I used to do this and it made my life a lot easier is every morning rather than on your list writing like do my marketing stuff or like reach out to people in the morning now I like to write down what are my idea list of who to reach out to or what is on my like I a local chiropractor oh that you know certification company I wanted to reach out to Etc I keep a list of it and I decide for the day which like one or two I'm gonna focus on for that day so for you Nancy like maybe make a little list this week of the chiropractors locally and how to contact them and you could keep like a little spreadsheet or something or just a running list on your phone or something like that that makes it easy um so that when it is time you're not like scrambling or having decision fatigue because you have to both look up the place and reach out to them so this is a typical everybody when you're going through that okay thank you yeah oh and I forgot where do I get all this information that we're speaking about today what did you say the recording and stuff the um all the list of your um these templates we're going over yeah I just put in the chat a link to the Google drive folder oh okay so you should be able to open that if you can't see it let me know because I think I put my share settings on that you guys could see it but I see okay yeah thank you all right other questions or ideas that were spurred from this I have a question about this June jumpstart offer um because the last time I did a two-week promotion or I mean sales period I basically focus on Instagram and a little bit on Facebook groups and I wanna you know work with people online and not people in Norway so I kind of have to do online stuff so I was just wondering like ideas around where I can for example pitch my the the guide the fitness guide or just post about this jumpstart offer just to think of like new creative places too promote it you'll get some more chances of getting people yeah um good question so you're freezing up for me it just froze for me are you guys all still there yeah okay cool you're back all right um so you said that you want to have some ideas of aside from just some Facebook groups and posting to your Instagram where could you mention this or promote your guide or that kind of thing okay I'm also going to send you know to my small email list now of 20 people yeah which is one more thing but I was just thinking like the more places I can put it out the more chances I'll get Maybe yeah I mean I think what comes to my mind is just doing those content swaps with other people so if you want to share the guide like having them share the guide and you sharing their content as well or just the people who you said who are friends who don't have freebies or things that you could post for them um maybe doing more of like the either just seeing if they'd be open to it and you're you're you could have some kind of incentive if somebody they send you signs up or just see if they'll do it without an incentive and thank them right or and the other thing is if you wanted to try the mini session thing and say hey I'm doing some I'm launching this Fitness mini session or mini thing and what I'd love to do with you is do just a little jump start session and if you like it would you be open to shouting me out and mentioning the fitness thing I'm doing this month or so or you know whenever you're doing it so that could be a little mini way on Instagram to get more reach um the other place though so I'm trying to think there's like like most of it you'd have to get permission or have the person share it for you if it's going to be on social media uh as opposed you know what I mean so I think if it were me I would just try to set up as many of those content or freebie swaps as I could yeah because when I try the jump start call with the confidence no one signed up and I kind of like posted a lot about it and they were like oh it's amazing that you're helping people who need this with this problem you know so everyone is like I don't have this problem but it's amazing that you're doing this for the people that struggle with this that was 98 of the company so if we're worried that some people who you want to do these like free mini sessions with might not want that you could say is there a problem you have with a problem or goal you have with Fitness mindset or health and nutrition like give them some options and see what they say because then you open it up to more topics because sometimes people don't struggle with confidence or they don't think they need confidence like yes right so I think that way if you give them more options or use focus on the fitness the new challenge you're doing for summer summer jump start session or something maybe that is a whole program it's the the old program yeah yeah uh yeah because I'm I'm just thinking like create the ways to like promote this without like posting five stories on Instagram and one you know you can't just like post about it to the same people they're gonna write yeah you need other people posting for you and shouting you out that's what I think you need and I I also think you need you could if you want there's there's like just like the travel people comment on your post to get exposure you could go to big accounts too that are Fitness or like travel but Health bloggers and stuff and leave meaningful comments on there and see if that helps you get visibility as well so I would I would not not just focus on your own posts at this point but see who can help you who can tag you who can you know do a Content thing for you on their page and their Instagram yeah and for those people who don't have a freebie would it make sense to do like promote their blog posts for example or you could do that yeah you could say I could promote your blog or I could promote your page in general that you get cool tips about blah blah blah and Jenny just said in the chat too um she could share your stuff because she doesn't have a freebie yet and you're kind of freebie would be helpful for her people so oh that's nice thank you so much cool I love that um yeah I'll try to think of some other ones but aside what comes up for me is like there's directories that you can list yourself on as a health coach which we have a list of those um there's let me find that here it is so if you're not that's like more of a passive approach so you just sit on that website and it sits there and you know people will reach out over time but it's not like gonna be oh my gosh 10 people reached out to me this week uh I'm just gonna disregard oh here we go that's fine okay here we go that I just put it in there it's a restricted document once again it's in your online learning library to download but I'm keeping it private for the purpose of Google Docs um but Sylvia I'll just email this to you right now thank you so much that's helpful do you know any accounts that like would be where you could leave a comment and people might like scroll through the comments and read it or see you or find it useful or like you could answer a question or something in the comments or that somebody had not that I can think about right now but some of the people that comment on my post and I comment on their their way past ten thousand twenty thousand people so they are some of them are really big okay is it do you feel like it'd be like scary to offer them to do like a Content swapper freebie thing with them or do you feel like it's they'd be receptive like what's your thoughts on that no I don't mind doing that guy I I don't think all of them have free freebies but they have Vlogs a lot of times and yeah you could say like you could share my freebie I could share your blog or I could just shout out your account saying it's useful and gives good tips or something yeah yeah no it's more to get them on the call I think would be difficult because they don't seem to it the book a call okay with the content thing instead for those ones but that doesn't mean that you could first you could find new people who are smaller maybe who would want to call with you that's not a travel blogger per se but maybe just an overall like Wellness blogger or um you know hormone like I don't know like it doesn't have to be travel so I made me expand the Horizon on somebody who posts about health but isn't a health coach exactly they do something else maybe open it uh or even just every day if you have any followers who like your posts a lot and comment on your posts a lot you could offer it to them and they're just a regular person but if they shout you out anyways to their local Word of Mouth Network that's cool too yeah that's true just have to connect my computer to uh oh sorry no you're good getting a tour of the but yeah think about Everyday People Too I actually was in a business networking group locally and I gave um one lady in the group a little short session on something she was struggling with and she gave me an Instagram shout out and from that another member of the group reached out to ask me a question so you never know it doesn't matter if somebody has a big following or not or they're a regular person or an influencer like just doing the practice of giving in general is a good thing yeah I found a couple actually traveling in Southeast Asia and I had no idea where they were from and but they were like are you do you live in Norway and then they were Norwegians so they were like we're so interested in doing uh they had a guide so that was so funny okay that's cool that's exciting small world it is all right other questions anybody have anything um no all right does anybody want to share their one main either goal or thing they're working on this week maybe make a verbal commitment so you're more likely to do it Chrissy yeah I'm currently working on my pitch and um oh the other hand out you know that's in the pitch um goodness I'm trying to see the creating your story handout that's what it was oh okay nice um yeah so it's taken me a lot longer than I expected I do have a question about the story though so as far as with me like a lot of my symptoms started when I was five so I had years and years of different things that popped up and it just kept getting worse as I was getting older so should I share some of that in my story because I mean there are things that people don't realize are happening like for example I had daily headaches so from five until I was 36 literally daily headaches I was just used to it it was normal for me okay yeah I would mention like I the daily headaches specifically I would mention so I wouldn't keep it General I wouldn't be like oh I just had some symptoms over the years like I would have something like you know I was experiencing symptoms without realizing it was my body trying to tell me something for example every day I had I thought daily headaches were normal from the time I was 5 to 36 and then move on to the next thing so you don't want to have a whole paragraph on it or anything but something that could be like oh yeah I get headaches a lot too like huh that's not normal yeah so I would mention that okay yeah yep um so with the stories you want to get to the main juicy points beginning middle and end but giving a specific example or two is always good and regarding things taking longer than expected I find that the thing that helps me is always expecting things are going to take way longer than I expect so that I'm pleasantly surprised when they don't uh but yeah it can be tedious to write stuff and all that um all right well thank you everybody we'll get the recording up soon and um I will
