hello and this is sunny welcome back today my topic is wire mapping or wire map testing wire mapping is a simple testing that confirms each wire of a twist peer cable is connected correctly to the cross pounding pin at the front end specifically wire map testing checks for five comma connecting problems reversed appears across the piers split appears open and short let me demonstrate these five wire mapping problems in next several minutes the utp keyboard pin configuration in this video for the wire mapping is eiatia 568 type or simplify 6ab type the orange pair pin wire and pm2 are transmitting signals the green pier pin 3 and pin 6 are for receiving signals pin 4 and pin 5 are the blue pier pin 7 and the pin 8 are the bronc here on the left side it shows the actual wire configuration which we will test for any issues on the right side shows a testing result with a keyboard tester you can pause the video before the wire mapping result is displayed this example shows the pass testing the twisted appear ping to pin wiring matches the expected configuration now let's check this one it looks like everything is alright in configuration but there's one problem you may pause the video to check what's wrong with the pin configuration of course in reality we cannot be able to see the pin connection by simply look at a cable the diagram only helps me to explain types of connection problems or why mapping problems this wire map testing shows it has a problem the reversed pin connection caused the failure to pass the testing reversed means the first wire in a pair at one end is found on the second wire at the other end in this example the orange color pier switch their positions ping position one at one end is attached to ping position two at the other we can think of reversed as a same color pair problem the same color here switch their positions let's demonstrate another wire mapping problem this one looks a bit complicated and messy the solid blue wire and a solid green wire are swapped at both ends this error is called split a split result is displayed whenever a testing detects that two wires in appear were not twisted together they are split like husband wife a couple they should leave and twist together but they leave and twist together with other people they split next wire mapping is simple but the problem is very common if you look at the diagram carefully you will see it this wire map testing results in open open means wire is broken and one wire does not has continuity from one end to the other in other words the electrical continuity of conductor is broken many keyboard testers can even tell the exact location of the breaking point now let's look at the last problem the problem is called short a short between piers occurs when the conductors or two wires in a different pairs are connected at any location in the cable in this example the orange appear are connected together at the right side and it causes the current interruption i hope this video is helpful thank you very much and see you next time
