hey what's up guys how are you guys doing today listen thank you so much for joining us today we are giving a stepbystep live master class on how to buy and import directly from China we are taking advantage of the tariffs because a lot of you guys will be surprised to know that even with the tariffs you can still get 80% cheaper than you can buying at Crate and Barrel Restorating Hardware CB2 Home Depot Bloomingdal's Macy's think about anywhere that you can get luxury you can get um you can get luxury you can get uh building supplies you can get home decor sizes a lot of people think these are for big companies you can get it as a solo person you can get it actually consolidating your buying power of you and your friends even if you guys are buying something different it all goes into the same container or even if you are building a house doing a renovation any type of projects that it's going to be a significant amount of money again we're about to hit into a recession we need to work smarter not harder we need to pull our resources but this is also a great opportunity if you want to start your own interior design business if you have an interior design business if you want to start your own rehab business flipping business or if you want to become a supplier and a middle middleman to people in your area um to business owners and whatnot I have with myself Clauddio claudio why don't you introduce yourself i wanted to get We're going to do a Q&A at the end he is an expert on this he has done this for years i'm actually going with this company a lot of you guys are like who are you using you haven't used it no that's not true i actually am y'all know I love a bargain um Claudia why don't you tell everybody a little bit about yourself um how you got into this business a little bit about your company and then people flooded me with questions so I have a lot of questions to ask you to guide people through step by step and then we're going to open up the floor to people in the comments that want to do a Q&A why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself Cladio absolutely so I'm I'm from New York originally um I've been I've been in the home improvement field for the past uh 25 years now and uh started off as a builder major remodeler then went over to to um to the building the building supplies end um I'm currently in East Asia as we speak hence the the darkness behind me i'm outside just relaxing a little bit and uh what what I do is essentially is is uh I'll go out to to areas and if we're dealing with cooperative buyers be able to go to China inspect the actual goods make sure that that we're getting what what we're purchasing and then from there send them out okay so I have a bunch of questions for you the major question I wanted I've heard a lot okay and I wanted to dispel this one of the reasons I'm going with Clauddio's company and again I tell everyone do your own research this is who I feel comfortable with i'm doing y'all a favor and not gatekeeping a lot of the people on Tik Tok and YouTube are selling these lists and selling their contacts i'm giving my contact up for free but one thing I do know that made me feel so comfortable claiming this company is the payment is done through US credit cards that means if there's any type of issue you got the same protections that you have if you buy something at Target Walmart Home Depot if you buy something at Hermes Louis Vuitton it doesn't matter you have the same level of uh you have the same level of buyer protection so any type of chargebacks if you think there's fraud if you're not if there's an issue you're not happy maybe it's the same thing so for me because I'm Americanbased and I know how that system goes about chargebacks and credit card and warranties against fraud being kind this is why I was most comfortable plus Claudio is born and raised he is a New York Rican Afro um New York weekend he'll be back in a second um he is uh again he understands and he understands to me and this isn't shading anywhere else in the world the American work ethic of we have deadlines where's my stuff you told me it was going to be Tuesday it is Monday night i need my stuff now so when it comes to the level of service I for me it's something that resonates i like to be able to contact at any time i like people to overexlain i like to know that you're looking at quality and you're going through and you're really on the ground actually being my eyes ears and also advocating for me so with that said uh Clauddio let's get into this all right um so let's look at the So I'm going to go through different parts for everybody and I'm going to open it up for Q&A too because I know other people have questions but let me just take you over the parts we're going to do part one um we're going to overview the opportunity part two the stepby-step process part three shipping customs importing part four large orders timelines and even any possible delays part five customization control and scaling up if you want to use this as an opportunity to start your own business right um because no matter what's going on business owners are getting tax cuts part six buyer protection and credibility part seven um we're going to do the Q&As's where you guys can actually come and respectfully don't embarrass me respectfully ask questions hear your concerns clauddio is very upfront maybe he does this for a living he can answer any question and dispel any fears or give you any knowledge that you need so this is a master class let's get into this okay now let's talk about first the opportunity why don't you briefly explain to everybody what is this sourcing model and how is it different from doing business with a random Alibaba celery uh a random Ali Baba seller or like just some random factory okay so the way it's done is it's done with with us having relationships with the with the uh sellers or or the distributors and what we do is we we do site visits so on site I'll be able to see them so in Alibaba you can get you can get great places on Alibaba as well i'm not going to knock it but essentially you're never going to see it it's not the same thing as being there in person so we can be there in person and from there I can you know we'll give you a call and then from there on a site visit we can actually from a live chat be able to show you exactly what we're looking at for products if there's anything with your products that let's say uh aren't as good as they appeared or or something that is a little bit overpromised then we could point that out as well if we see that the material is a little bit lower in quality or even the feel you know we want to make sure that that communication is up there because you're not going to get that either in Alibaba that is true now Claudio he is very humble person but he has been especially when it comes to furniture interiors building spot he has been doing this all his life he can spot interior products he tests the interior uh interferior products he makes sure that when you order A B and C you are getting A B and C and probably D a lot of people think that China is very cheap and let me be honest with you there are cheap manufacturers in China just like there are cheap manufacturers in the US you get what you pay for so say let's just say you wanted let's just say right a custom piece of marble right and somebody's saying I can give it to you for you know $5 and someone's like oh it'll probably cost you $50 okay that $50 slab in America might cost you north of$500,500 a $5 slab come on now like this isn't slave labor you can pretty much see but he'll be on the ground to be like "Listen I looked at all the marble i tested all the marble i found we found the supplier for $35 and I'm telling you it's quality." So he's very good at that okay what about Okay why do you think that so many people just now are discovering this way of direct buying directly from China well one of the ways is the internet of course um essentially I would say I would say in Instagram that there's a lot of popularity with the ads that they see you know if you're a builder somebody that's already in the field or even even yourself if you're looking for let's say furniture and you keyword that in Google it's going to link up with your social media um so that's something that's huge the other thing is China going viral m that right there just opened the doors and made a lot of people be able to see that that they're not just selling junk anymore the quality that they have is really up there and the pricing is still it's still really low so this is the time to get in is now this is the time to get in you know a lot of people contacted me and they had concerns about oh it's illegal to have counterfeit furniture and I keep telling people it's not counterfeit or it's illegal to have counterfeit buildings so I counterfeit this counterfeit that a lot of people also if you are looking for really quick I know this is off topic if you're looking for beauty if you're looking for suppliers for beauty for clothes for wellness CL has contacts even with that too he will put you with the people that know their stuff that are reliable and honest and hardworking but what do you say about this especially when it comes to luxury homegoods uh luxury what do you say about the whole counterfeit argument with the counter that that that is a good one um essentially it's not counterfeit because if let's say we're dealing with doors if the doors that that they have are doors that are of a higher name brand it's it's just going to be it's going to be within the same category just a different name um it's not they're not making it where if it's u let's say an Anderson they're not going to go from Anderson and then put Anderson with two ends it's that that is more counterfeit it's going to be something where uh it's going to it's going to meet the same criteria as their other windows would be that's it it's a very good replication yeah so it's kind of like if say you wanted a new kitchen and I don't even know who is the standard now but at one point it was Viking refrigerators right when he's saying their standard a Viking refrigerator can cost you 50,000 maybe even more right however in China yeah in China because they make it they will it's not a Viking knockoff it is a refrigerator that is to the same specifications the same quality the same cooling system the same everything and they manufacture and as a matter of fact Viking approaches them and says "Hey what new innovations have you guys come up with?" They'll show Viking and Viking will be like "You know what we'll order a 100,000 of those and put our name on it." The innovation is coming from the manufacturer it's coming from the manufacturer so you are literally doing direct buy with the company now what about if you want to do well we'll get into that about custom orders right because since it is coming directly from the manufacturer if you like for instance for me if you have a living room that's a little bit awkward angle if it has this it's very easy to do customizations something you cannot get in uh restoration hardware or um even IKEA but let we'll get into that okay um can you break down the type of products people can source um it's easy to say everything but from the furniture to the lighting to the tile appliances textiles what is actually really possible it's going to be of course depending on on the need um if we're dealing with furniture that that does make sense especially be with it being springtime right now this time this time of year people are looking to change things the income tax comes in they might say "Okay let's upgrade the couches upgrade the dining room sets even lighting." So it it it all depends on the categories um essentially they're all consistently it's busy all around no no but like what's possible so somebody's like I need and like I want to build a house from the ground up right i I have not that much money but I have some money what is possible to source high quality from China my apologies on that so we're talking about flooring doors kitchens vanities for the bathrooms uh windows so so just those things even the HVAC if they want to do HVAC the systems that they have that come from Mitsubishi there's good brands over there um it's I would say about 70 to 80% of what you need to build the house okay what's the other 20% it's going to be your lumber things that you would source locally okay so certain things like lumber it's cheaper okay lumber cement and that's easier but when it comes to anything that visually from drywall basically everything under the house besides lumber and cement because of the weight it's cheaper to source it locally 80% of building can be sourced and this is up to 80 sometimes 90% off what you're actually paying uh the savings are huge yeah the savings are huge let's get into the step-by-step process okay and you guys sorry I'm answering half these questions because I've already had so many meetings with them so I'm answering all these questions because I'm like "Oh I know the answer but I'll let him talk." All right the step by-step process if somebody's ready to buy right what's the And they're ready to buy from you what's besides contacting you let me put this across the screen here's his contact info you can email him directly it doesn't matter how small the project is have him weigh in he'll steer you in the right place i thought my project was too small and it's not you know but no matter how big the product is they can always scale up so if someone's ready to buy what's the very first step they should take the first step they should take is is uh of course after you contact us I'd like to have an idea of what you're looking for so we're going to need some photos um depending on what it is it could even be those designer bags if it's a designer bag what kind of photo is it because we can mix this up while we're out there we're going to be in that area anyway so while we're out there if they needed the bags we can add that on to a shipment that's not a problem um of course when we're talking about for building supplies what I need to know is what are you looking for specifically what are the measurements and from there what we do is we we'll line them up with with a checklist of everything that's needed okay so basically um you need uh uh you need them to let them know whatever it is you're looking for whether because I've heard some people being like I want to start my own cosmetics brand i want to do a skin care brand i want you know maybe you want to And here's the thing i know there's been a lot of talk about knockoff shoes could be it could be the Louis Vuitton shoes that are up yeah yeah yeah i know there's been a lot of talk about like the knockup bags right like I don't buy designer bags my my my partner likes to give me designer bags right but I don't buy designer bags for myself it's just not my thing however for people that are not into dupes this is an incredible opportunity if you are a designer or if you just want something nice and quality to actually get a bag that's like really really good leather and if you do want to start your own business they will actually take custom orders like I like this shape i like this they'll show you prototypes they'll show you what they can make they'll literally and Claudia will be the person on the ground looking at the prototypes checking for the leather doing the little scratch test with the razor to make sure they're not giving you plastic like there's so many things that go into production and it's a full-time job and Claudio knows all of it so what you're saying is email you guys have a whole team let them know what you're looking for let be honest with the per the purpose if you want a Birk and Duke just say I want a Birk and Duke while you're out there can you stop by like you know do you have to be like "Oh I I'm looking for a uh" Because listen when I was first out there first looking I thought I had to do the oie do like "Yeah um I'm a hotel supplier and I'm looking for furniture." No just be honest listen I'm trying to furnish my house i need this this this and this and this and it's no problem because they are manufacturers they are fine to throw one more on the Barbie whether they make like 10,000 refrigerators or 10,000 in one because you ordered one it's fine they'll make it and then it's up to you to pick it up and get it to the US i know what y'all asking how can you get it to the US we're going to get into that okay because it's a lot easier more seamless than you think and if you are if you've ever ordered I don't know what happened since the pandemic but it used to be you would go into the furniture store order your furniture and you can have it by that weekend they just had to h find a delivery time now even Crate and Barrel and everybody it's like a month six weeks eight weeks ahead so the delivery time is actually just as fast if not faster as if you're walking into the store so that's a plus so how about this right so the first step you should take is email him be honest about what you want and what you're looking for it'll save both of y'all time he aims to please what about how do you actually pick a supplier or a factory if I was going to do it myself how would I pick a supplier and factory and how do you help with that the way we help with that is two ways so if if let's say if you're online and you find something that happens to be at a supplier or a factory that's out there that we let's say they're not in our circle we don't know them what we'll do is we'll do a site visit and check them out at least like that we're able to see everything on site i'll be able to to hold the bag we can send you some photos of the bag to see if those photos that we're sending you match the ones that that they may have uh gave you or that they're posting online and um essentially what we'll do from that point is contact you let you know that everything looks good and then from there you'll make the purchase okay now when here's the thing that I think I would like you to clarify when you say you're making a site visit it sounds like you just go in and you're like "Okay what a site visit entail what are you actually looking for to make sure this is a reputable supplier?" Okay that's where the value comes in because the site visit is going to entail having an appointment set with them you have to schedule it out uh at least a few weeks out then you have to be able to get the visa process to go and travel to to China because China you can't just go in um you have to have the visa that takes a few weeks as well the time that the time that we're saving is because we're very close by i'm only a couple hours away so for a flight out it's really I was just I just came back from my account it's it's not bad at all um so there's time that you have to with the visa there's time actually getting there for me it's cut in half we were talking about from the states you have to allocate about three days so it could be about 28 hours to get there and once you arrive you have to kind of catch up with jet lag we're kind of we're saving you some time right there um we'll go out we'll take a look at everything and do an actual site visit we'll set up the appointment to visit the showroom and then at the scheduled time go and take a look at it yeah and then you have a whole team that again I cannot stress this they know what they're looking at you know there's 40 of us there's 40 of us out there and essentially it's not all on me it can't be there's a lot going on um so that there there will be somebody that will be assigned to you and then and then uh you'll have communication with them directly uh that's something that I pass off and essentially what we're looking to do is we just want to make sure we're able to give you what you need what you're looking for yeah i know that Claudio when we first started talking about working together he was like "How much is too much communication?" He sent me like you know videos of this is the factory this is this like you're it's almost like your eyes and ears are there but to have someone that again I don't know anything about building i don't know anything about furniture manufacturing i sit on the couch i'm like it seems comfortable i don't know what's going to fall through two years later but they actually know what they're looking at so they can be like "Nice try nice try." Like "Get out of here with that." You know um I don't want to say Alabama because apparently Alabama has some deals but like they know how to stop it okay so how about this once you guys go through and you make the site visits I know that you guys do also interior design you guys do renderings you guys do architecture building um drawings you guys do all that what's whatever it is we want whether it's like okay I want bags whether it's one or a bulk shipping I want uh furniture I want marble for my back whatever it is right once we choose those products how does the payment process uh does the process payment process work and can they use US credit cards uh to do well I already answered that but go ahead and tell them can they use Okay we are we're we're a veteranowned and US-based company so all that still means something so so with with that being said everything can be done just credit card as no just like if you're going to Target same thing um it would be based on approval because if the designs don't meet if let's say they just don't meet it they end up it's it's inferior and for the price it just really isn't worth the taking the risk you might you might not do it right there and then you might have to do another visit a week from then hopefully in a in a great in a great situation everything is is a match and we move forward with it if we do move forward with it then all we're going to do is just bill you out for exactly what it is the manufacturer lets you know the pricing before we even get there essentially we're not we're not tacking anything on okay so again this is really important to me they aim to please they're the ones that they bring the first round of drawings if it's interior design they'll do 3D renderings that you can actually move and like walk through like you're actually there the floor plans the layouts they wait until you are completely satisfied with what the complete plan is and then once you are satisfied no matter how many times they have to go back and make site visits no matter how many times they have to go they're aiming to please then they will submit you with the bill but get this you get the pricing up front it's just you only pay when you're satisfied you know so that's pretty good um so again there's no like oh you know oh you just got your tax rebate guess what it's going to be 2,000 more you know what it's going to cost it's just like and again they can offer that level of assurance because in America they're just like oh no I'm not giving you this I get paid right but um at the end of the day like not that they're gatekeeping but how are you going to get the furniture without them so they have no problem being like when you're ready and you're satisfied you pay the bill and then we'll start this process going okay so um again and I want to do it because people are even now I have my girlfriend in the chat she's texting on the side she said "But how do you ensure that there are no scams or fake factories involved in the process how do we sure there's no scam?" Well we're out there we're literally at the factory and uh like I said we can f what we do is we'll FaceTime you or video chat you from the location so we're here here's your products and literally in the same shoot be able to show it to you live right right there and then okay so even so you guys uh uh you guys sorry so you guys not only are there to look at the main products but you guys also put the order in for us but even as the product is done you guys go back and inspect and make sure it's exactly what we ordered so there's quality quality quality every step of the way it has to be that way for loading because at the end of the day they can't just show us something nice and then all right bye and then we just assume everything's great we're always there so since we're always there for us to do a stop in on something that's new and then a stop in on something that's about to be delivered that that's it's always going to be something new and then about to be delivered okay so you guys have quality control checks done before the order leaves China and then you have like boots on the ground to actually physically inspect everything and boots that no um what happens if there's factory delays uh production or changes with the product how do you protect us as buyers at at that at that point we do keep everything transparent if there's a delay if if there's something where let's say the item is not going to be available then we're going to have to do a refund on that that's something that that we we just have to do it's a correct way of doing business so if I'm ordering a couch and you're saying like but when do you find out when the item's not available like the day before it's supposed to ship or are you in constant communication with the factory and they're telling you like basically when you place the order the factory is like yeah for whatever reason we can't do this it would be at point of purchase so literally at the point of sale once they sell it to us it's ours okay and they guarantee Okay so as long as like you accept the purchase thing that's when it'll always be guaranteed it's same thing as the states it's the same thing as if you were in in a Target purchasing something you're taking it from the shelf let's say a PlayStation and they have to go get fill the box same thing for us it's them filling up the box okay cool all right so early on they'll know that if there's either a delay where they say "Okay we do make the PlayStation but which by the way I want a movie room in my house." I know it sounds crazy but even then China is like the foremost manufacturer for high-grade movie dete movie projectors right they do projector yeah that cost like about 30,000 you can get it for like 7800 and it has studio quality and they build it there with the and they're cutting edge so again China makes everything you could possibly want in your home um for shipping okay let's part three because this is the part everybody wants to know about with the tariffs shipping customs and importing let's talk logistics how do we get the product from the factory straight to I'll use myself tell us how you get the product straight from from the factory it's done they're like "Here's the box." Straight to my door how do you guys do that that's it's it's an extensive process so essentially what's going to happen is first we have to get the items to the point of destination where it's going to be shipped which is going to be the port so that's one that's one stop then from the port it's going to be placed onto the ship from the ship it's going to arrive depending on where you are let's say uh if you're in Texas which is the center right we could send it either to the east coast or even to the west coast depending on where you are in Texas once it arrives over there then it's going to be sent out now what happens is we have to give you some a tracking because we don't want you just guessing so we'll know it's going to be shipped out on this date and then we'll tracking as it goes okay so that's and tracking but then how does it get to my how does it get to my door then like that's all in our logistics plan so essentially what we're doing is when we take your order we're going to make sure that it's going from door to door hold on you're breaking up a little bit okay can you see me now no it's just the voice breaking up go on that might have been my site sorry about that go on that's a uh So essentially the way it's working is when we're doing the order we need to make sure that everything's calculated so it's going to go from door to door unless you specified to send it to another location okay now um who handles freight forwarding and shipping is it air or C and what's the cost difference excellent question so it depends on the item so if it's a bag and they have to have it as soon as possible we'll get that out air we'll have somebody take take care of that and make sure that's sent out air um for the most part it's going to be C especially if we're dealing with heavier items if we're dealing with with uh construction material furniture if we're dealing with big heavy items those items are going to be C okay and I just want to tell everybody unless you're dealing with a MA furniture manufacturer and this is me looking for furniture from uh North Carolina everything in restoration hardware from CB2 and from Crate and Barrel those are the top three that I've been shopping in are all shipped made and shipped from overseas mostly China sometimes India but they're all coming in which is why when you go and say "Oh I want this." They're like "Oh you can have it in about six to eight weeks." They're literally doing the same thing that Claudio's doing but they're putting it on so again this is just the way furniture works once you know all the manufacturers left America and uh for everybody saying buy America we're waiting but as soon you know if we can make that here we will buy it here but until then like what you want us to do um okay so if it's coming So the heavier stuff doesn't come by air it comes by sea um okay uh what's the cost difference when something comes by sea is it much cheaper is air or is it really dependent on what they actually want it's depending on what they actually want but I would say C is always going to be less especially with the heavier items C is going to be less what's the time frame for something to come by C just curious it depends it could be anywhere from six to nine weeks okay all right you know what honestly those are the delays that I was looking at with the uh with the furniture so even from you know in the US store um okay now this is a big one what about US customs do you guys handle all the paperwork the fees the clearance or is that on us as the buyer that's that is a big one and we do handle that that's all part of the package so essentially we're making sure that you don't have to worry about that um there there is differences that happen like if there's something where there could be a delay if there's a different change in the tariffs that does affect us uh essentially what we look to do is we look to get everything locked in prior so we're not we're not going to just if let's say there's another crazy rate hike and something's coming in tomorrow then that's not going to affect us because we're already paid in so why don't you explain that because I'm a little confused about what you mean about like paying in so if if if I so say you're going to send me a couch tomorrow right which yes you're gonna send me a couch tomorrow if the tariff rate is right now and by the way with tariffs even with tariffs you are still saving 50 60 70 80% on what they're charging in the store all right the only thing I kick myself is is I didn't know this before the tariff war right but even for the tariffs right um so if I order something today you can you basically pay the tariffs right then and there or say it's ready to ship you pay the tariffs right then and there and that locks the rate in like how does that work yes what we're doing is we're paying all the fees so we cover all the shipping we cover the shipping literally door to door and then of course paying the tariffs when it comes in so that's something that that we're covering on so if the if something is on the the sea to come in and you've already paid the tariff and when it arrives tariff is at 3,000% that's for any future stuff we've already because they know that day things are coming in so if it's arriving that day and it jumps up to 3,000 they can't just say well it's 3,000 everything's already pre that point if that happened everybody just leave the shipments true right there in the sea is there if tariffs ever go down can you ever apply for a tariff refund or that doesn't really happen i haven't seen that happen unfortunately okay you know me I'm always looking for a deal i'm like so is there a rebate I can get okay so tariffs are tariffs um so you handle all the and this is where his value comes in and again even with this it's still way cheaper than whatever so don't think oh I can't afford it i used to think that until my girlfriend hooked me up with Claudio that made me see no you everybody if you can afford to walk into a US store you can afford this even with the middle person and it's a lot cheaper than actually booking a flight to go there so they handle the paperwork the fees the customs the clearance i'm going to tell y'all I actually I sent something to my cousin in the UK and the UK is like insane with like customs and I didn't know anything about customs i didn't prepay when I say it was such and this was through either it was through FedEx when I say it was such a headache to even one they hold your stuff two they maybe put a note saying you need to contact us to pay this tariff three they make it so hard to even pay the tariff they charge us for the same tariff four times before we finally was like it was only like $7.95 but they still kept sending us notices saying you need to pay you need to pay you need to pay and it's just a headache even to call someone to be like "What is this for?" Because we didn't even know we had to pay a tariff it It's a headache it's a headache it's like imagine the DMV but with less customer service is what dealing with customs are you know it's DMV but less customer service so and and they do not care if your stuff is sitting there all day so you need someone that already knows how to get through that so it's just like bam bam bam um okay how about this can you explain how the tariffs actually work for instance do buyers need to calculate and pay that separately or is that also built into your system that's built into the system that's something they don't have to worry about on our end that's all calculated in okay so when you say calculated in when do you So when do I get the bill so I want a couch we look through we find out what couch I want when do I get that actual bill for it being calculated in okay so you let's say you're buying the couch and you like it and you say "Okay I'm ready to move forward with this." It's always going to be so before you even pay you know what you're in for um how about this what are the most if any because a lot of people are concerns what are the most common issues at customs that you might have in importing and like delays seizures and if that did happen if it happened let us know how could you help them around that okay so that that that is a great point also so delays if there's delays over there we we can run into that um again we don't like to leave everything up in the air so what we'll do is we'll contact you constantly it could be via text phone calls whichever way is your your most preferred way of communication we definitely want to make sure that even if it's bad news we want to make sure we we make you aware of it there's there's only so much that we can control so if something's happening at the ports and there's delays over there we're we're we're all along for that ride um so essentially we're going to be in contact with you and then from that point we'll let you know when you should have everything arriving okay uh a couple of questions uh Black Lexigan said "When would you inspect how good is the quality control between the different manufacturers and what is your acceptable level of quality okay that's a that's that's a very good question um the accepted level of quality has be something that we feel is going to last so essentially when when we're testing and taking a look at the products itself we we are um we we are you know handling it rough okay so we're handling things if let's say for a kitchen for instance that kitchen we're going to have the cabinets slam we're going to have the door slam we're looking at all the products if we see something looks a little bit off and it could be something just on a manufacturer's end where there's an end that just doesn't meet the right way it's not squared we're going to show you with some film or some some pictures and then from there you have to make a decision because if the price is right and you're like "Okay you know what it's in the rear portion of the cabinet i can live with that." Then then you know you'll accept it okay that's perfect so again Claudia your your connection is just lagging a little bit um but we'll we'll get through it he's still here he's a human um but basically what Clauddio is saying for you guys um the quality control with Claudio I can vouch is very very excellent he is a former builder he knows what crap looks like they have a team of 40 that specialize in different things so they know what a crap bag looks like they know what crap sofas look like they know what bad quality looks like and most importantly they know what hidden bad quality looks like like he says they handle rough they're moving the door slamming them doing this rubbing up against them making sure that those little details that you would need a skilled professional to tell you is the difference between top quality or not he knows how to get in there and if he doesn't he has a a stream of professionals that know what they're looking for the acceptable level I would guess is whatever your acceptable level is like let's be real right i want doors for my wardrobe right i mean do I want fine Amazonian from the last rainforest trees doors on my Yes but am I paying for that absolutely not right so the level of quality you want is what you're acceptable with china makes everything if you want to do a group buy with your uh with your neighbors and you want IKEA level but that level is what it will never go below if you want crate and barrel if you want CB2 if you want restoration hardware if you want customdesigned furniture like from the Versace showroom that is the level of quality that they will give and that's the level quality they will make sure that you never go below so you're always going to get your money's worth if not more you know um this is a good question she uh so sweets wants to know is there a list of suppliers to shop over with China how do we figure out what we want will you help us like okay these are the cataloges look through them what do you want or do like how do you find out what we're looking for that that's that's going to be based on your needs again so if you tell me listen we're looking for cabinets and a vanity i can give you a list of of suppliers that have that that we've dealt with already or some people that that are new to us but they're in the vicinity of where we're looking to to work with them and essentially um when you take a look at it if you find what you like then we'll we'll we'll go and do a site visit okay okay so we got that let's get into some more questions we're going to get into the other thing um Okay thank you SJN yes the And also Nighty Razor it should read group if you're watching this it was not supply group but group y'all know dyslexia be kicking my butt thank y'all so much it's group not group it happens yeah this is a good question somebody says "Do you guys only ship to the US?" That's an excellent question we we actually we ship to 96 countries so we we would definitely get it around the world yeah when I told y'all title tales worldwide this can go to the UK because I spent time there and I know they are there's a one thing about the UK I want to say in America I feel like we have a bit more middle level in the UK there's either super high-end like Restoration Hardware or it's some store that's charging you an exorbitant price for something you're like I could get this off of Wayfair in America i'll tell you what if you're ordering things from Wayfair you're definitely going to get a better quality than that so it's all over the world um UK uh of course Australia anywhere they can ship to anywhere that takes shipments um how about this um who said this jersey girl said "Forget the bag show me the home gets cardio has you covered for both also uh Latana Hall said "What is the insurance cost?" That's a good question the insurance cost it is put in there as well it depends on the items and you did ask me a question earlier and I actually forgot to to to let you know if something comes in let's say the item is broken if it's broken that's what the assurance covers okay okay so it is so in the the detailed price they give you that is still way lower than anything you can get to i mean way lower insurance is also wrapped in if it does arrive broken because again let's be real things happen right if it arrives broken insurance will 100% cover it so you will never be at a loss um there's so many good questions here i just want to do a few questions and then we'll get back on to the process but let's ask a few questions because this is good um where is it somebody said uh oh this is a guilt one all right and again this is all legal but they said according to Trump Oh wrong whatever that's about the trade war thank you Pikas but let's do the trade war they So somebody said that Trump is eventually thinking maybe of banning uh imports from China but what I've been trying to explain to everybody and this is legal some of the big design houses do this about the whole made in China there's even ways to get around that legally which is things come from China touch base in another country and then all of a sudden they're not necessarily from China they're from Thailand or wherever else why don't you explain that uh process of what could happen if Trump did ban all imports from China all right there's there's manufacturers that we work with and suppliers that we work with that are in Thailand as well so typically let's say if they were to were to purchase parts like similar to Italy for instance like if you're dealing with bags and then let's say with the Amaze bags that that that they were speaking of that they they're going to Italy and then in Italy that's where they're putting their Amaze logo and and all the hardware on there at that point they could say it's made in Italy the same thing goes with with uh kitchen cabinets if the kitchen cabinets come in over here and there's parts that are added in over here then it ends up becoming a product that comes from Thailand and at that point we could ship from this area to the to the states exactly very cheap to uh ship from China to Thailand but again a lot of these luxury manufacturers bags or whatever actually do do that i know that Italy one of the most recent things that everybody forgot about is there was scandals with them saying that like fragrances were made in France um there was organic olive oil and pasta imported from Italy until they did the numbers and they said there is no way that all this organic olive oil pasta or fragrances came from France or Italy you guys don't have the manpower you don't have the manufacturing and that so there have been scandals before in almost every industry where they claim something came from something but it was only coming from China so that is the workaround so to answer you guys questions they can ship anywhere you can pay by American credit card so you have the purchase protection there is insurance they handle all customs the tariff rate is locked in at the time of purchase so no matter how much the trade wars might be going off you are always guaranteed that price um and if anything from China is banned well there's always legal workarounds legal workarounds this isn't like oh something fell off the truck there are legal um workarounds okay um let's get back into this um if someone wants to let's talk about large orders timelines and of course delays again if someone wants to place a large or ongoing order like containers for a house build or retail business you know maybe um they consult with you to start their own handback line they have their own cosmetic line um or you know maybe they have they're an interior design firm or they're a building firm it's a reoccurring order uh what's the best way to manage that with you the best way to manage is is just focusing on the schedule and how to and how to maintain uh how to maintain achieving all the goals set for to to do that schedule so what we're going to do is we're going to maintain communication uh again it's going to be via your preferred route so if you're somebody that really likes text messaging then we'll make sure we notate that and that would be how we we keep in uh contact we do ask one thing though that if we're doing this and we do have to meet a certain guideline that when we reach out to you please within a telling me manner reach back okay um really quick for large orders how long or even small orders from start to finish um I know it's different for everyone but let's do maybe a bag where they have a bunch maybe in the factory let's do couches which might be special made and let's do something like I don't know marble let's say readymade products like the products are already made all they have to do is get packaged and shipped something like that you're looking at about four to five weeks okay that was my question so it takes typically it takes from um about four to five weeks if something is already manufactured if it's something that you need a custom build like if it's a customuilt couch which you know in America will charge you 50 60 70 80 that's rich people's stuff right but you can get a customuilt couch for the same quality same shape but just to your measurements for like maybe two three,000 over in China it might take a little bit longer but not much longer it'll just take a they put it in the manufacturing queue because again they're manufacturing for the whole world it'll take a little longer but not much longer um let's see so you already have uh systems in place to handle delays in production or global shipping issues uh oh can people track their shipments like Amazon style updates or do you give a manual status check we'll give the manual status check okay and if they email you I just know Clauddio he I love this about him he overcommunicate so if you have a question reach out and ask him he'll get right back to you like "Yeah yeah yeah I just checked." Like he does not care yeah he will contact you as much as you want to be contacted also now this is something a lot of people ask how do you handle returns or issues if something is broken missing or not as described okay we're definitely going to need photos immediately if something like that happens let's say if it comes out of the truck you unpackage it and you see something's broken or even a day later you you notice it's broken or a couple days later at that point we're going to need some photos i need to see what's going on uh once we see the photos we'll we'll we'll definely directly communicate with the manufacturer let them know that the items arrive uh broken and then from there we start the return process we'll have to have uh items uh picked back up from our from the people that delivered them and then send them back out and we have to also allow for the new items to come in so it does it does give you a time delay on the new items but they will come okay so do you guys hear that right you handle returns or issues if something is broken missing or not is described it's the same thing as if you were ordering from Restoration Hardware you return it back to the factory is it an easy process yeah is it annoying absolutely because you wanted it but it's pretty much the same exact process also um what about uh customization control and scaling up now this is for people that are looking at it from again he takes individual be honest when you email him at globalbuildingsupplygroup.com i'm sorry purchasing at globalbuildingsupplygroup.com email him directly um be honest with what you want you don't got to fake and act like you want like 50 bags or 50 you know you're trying to furnish a hotel tell him what you need and what you're looking for he'll get you the uh he'll get you the supplier list you can look through the different things they can put you with interior designers that can help you find the perfect thing put you with architects that can help you build the perfect thing but for people that are looking to actually make a business from this as becoming middle middlemen right can designers or builders customize products like choosing specific fabrics finishes or dimensions absolutely they can they they can they can do that and we we'll also work with them uh because we're looking for them to to stay busy so at the end of the day if they need some guidance and they need let's say materials or or samples for for their own clients then we can actually help them with with attaining that and growing and scaling their business exactly you guys you can buy or you can create your own it's really up to you and what you want to invest in do you offer white label or private label services for entrepreneurs who want to resell under their own brand absolutely that would be done based on bulk and volume okay what does that look like just generally going over I know every industry will be different but what would that look like let's just say um we wanted to do a uh [Music] um I don't know uh kitchens let's say we're talking about kitchens or even something that's even more like people sell all the time let's just say it's something like skin care makeup okay like that makeup then we're talking about palettes we're talking about if let's say somebody just coming up because essentially the way we we operate is since we're dealing with volume the volume could be people that are buying all over the country right when we're buying at the end of the day our goal is to make sure it's going from China to the states so I don't mind if we have to get it to the states and then from the states distribute it where it needs to go so she means cooperative purchasing okay so you guys keep in mind cooperative purchasing it doesn't need to be uh with you if you guys have something where like you and your girlfriends you and the neighborhood like I think I was raised like that the neighborhood comes together everybody needs their kitchen redone we're going to basically we'll get all different colors but at the end of the day we're all going to build our building supplies at the same time we're all going to group purchase whether you want to um School of Skills said "One can't run a business waiting on products from overseas." School of Skills all products come overseas what are you talking about that's what warehouses are for they literally ship it in and that's why the closer you live to these ports of entries like in New Jersey in New York in LA the closer you live to the ports of entry and these warehouses the quicker you can get your Amazon same day businesses are run by shipping in product lower price overseas and then selling it in America for a walk for a markup so but again do I do want to say this to anyone that is skeptical this is not a hard sale if you don't want to do it boo don't do it don't do it don't email go to like it's a free country if you're not comfortable with this process if you don't want to do it if you do what you want this isn't a hard sell this is for people that are looking for other options where we can literally live within our means but live well so don't do it it's fine do what you need anyway right um now this is a question can someone really build a business around this like being a middleman for others is that something your company actually supports we support it because it ends up becoming something that's similar as as Amazon drop shipping except without all there's not as much competition because if you're going if you're looking there's not a ton of people that are out there reselling kitchens and bathrooms or or you know even the bags that we're looking at it's it's it depends on on what the items are essentially okay all right perfect perfect perfect so yeah so basically if you want to build a business where you get the customers and then you're working directly with Clauddio and then Clauddio's working directly with the suppliers you can 100% do that again there is money to be made and businesses and most of the time people will pay I know I will a very fair price for someone to take away the stress from doing it you know again the same way you're paying a markup for the fact of something that was maybe 70 cents on Alibaba is literally I don't know $21 an ice ch ice trays that are like the little ones that are shaped like hearts are literally 70 or 13 cents on Alibaba but I'm walking into Target on Valentine's Day and getting my heart-shaped pop uh my heart-shaped uh ice trays for $17.99 because I didn't want to do all that with Claudio he can be your target and be like "Don't worry we got you." You know um when you are running a business I think it is you're not really making the profit you can make if your supplier unless it's food like a restaurant if your supplier can get you something that you order for your business the next day you are 100% paying a markup for that you're paying for their manufacturing their inventory their this their that so it's not a flex to say "Oh somebody got it to me the next day." You are paying for that which is why if you order in shipments which is why when you go online there's so many people saying you know "Out of stock returning soon pre-order." That's I mean you'll work it out that's the cost of doing business you know you take the risk you get all the reward um and you take the stress you get paid for taking people's stress away um how about this right what support do you offer for people that are looking to start businesses and scale up like larger quantities repeat orders and multiple location drops why don't you go over that again okay so when you're dealing with something that's dealing with larger quantities multiple location jobs essentially what we're doing is we give them one of our team members to work at to work with and and uh the team member works more as a mentor they're able to give proper direction with with providing the right questions so we'll let them know based on questions of what we need so let's say you're going they're going to be doing multiple orders to a different location can you please let us know what location it is how frequent are the orders going to be we give a little bit more than just uh okay it's coming on Wednesday and no we want to make sure that the communication is there and we're actually helping them build i love that also who said a good thing d Sully had a good point and I've actually had um I ordered some stuff from Rat and Boa um I guess it's an English brand um they put me down on this they said "I thought if it's for you you don't have to pay tariffs." Yes and no so right now the exemption is 800 any order under 800 is excluded from tariffs so anybody that is selling to you with tariffs they will for instance a rat and boa they sent me like four invoices also I didn't have to pay tax instead of giving me one separate invoice so there's ways and again talk to Clauddio about that that if it's possible to avoid tariffs and be under that 800 minimum he's happy to work with you like that too you know yeah so yeah it's like yes and no if if it's for you you don't have to pay tariffs i don't know if they changed that it used to be but I know if it's under 800 you usually you can skip tariffs so again if you're ordering something I don't know and it can be multiple orders that are under 800 that is a way to legally avoid the tariffs and that is more savings for you um how about this um buyer projection and credibility let's get back into that you guys have a lot of questions you mentioned this is a US-run company and takes US payments um why don't you explain to everybody how that protects the buyer well it protects the buyer because uh everything that we're doing is based in the states so essentially if if let's say there's an issue with the credit card and they don't receive uh the products or let's say that there's there's a discrepancy they can go and they can dispute the payments with the credit card company so they're protected by the credit card companies perfect okay so basically the same protections you would have if you bought from Target you have from buying from them um what happens if a buyer feels uncertain at any stage is there a rep they can talk to there is a rep that they could talk to but if it's at any stage if it's in the if it's shipping then it's theirs okay okay okay okay so it is important to know that if you are doing and this is something that people need to know if you are doing um this is actually standard i I should point this out i did I did the research because when he told me that I was like if you buy from a seller right you can refuse for certain things if it's damaged if it's not what you ordered or if you don't uh there's some type of quality issue or some type of this isn't what I ordered you can always refuse at point of delivery okay um and you have you inspect it and then you have the right of refusal this is US business law your your uh credit card will back you up if it's something like you order 600 red bottoms and then you say "Yeah no I don't I don't I don't need that i don't want it never mind you cannot get a refund." Uh well one I can't speak for everybody else in the chat but I appreciate this um and so I did miss like the first portion of it so if I ask something that's already been answered um I'm not trying to troll you just uh getting in there i I think it sounded like you were uh already talking because my understanding um and I have ordered stuff like you know from China from other places for small business um for a while and I think like when uh certainly even now my understanding is that they're really not even set up to collect tariffs um above the dimminimus just because of how long it's been in place and how halfhazard and last minute the implementation of these tariffs are um like and especially with the uncertainty I feel like there's still um like a lot of people like not even people who are trying to abide by it don't really even know one how to collect this uh the tariffs um two what the rates actually are so are you currently experiencing any of that because I think I read something where like there were packages that were just like coming right on through as normal because nobody uh knew exactly how to handle the tariffs so even after all the bluster they were still coming through as normal is that something that you've been experiencing or have you actually run into packages um like being hit with unexpected tariffs now so we've been fortunate we haven't had that happen we're not having anything hit essentially what we're doing is we're trying to do our due diligence in the front so like this by the time it arrives we're not we're not getting hit with anything that's unexpected okay and that for you that's mostly textiles like because I've done um for me it's mainly like jewelry and jewelry making supplies um I think like even from the people that you've worked with um I think what a lot of people don't realize is that there are Chineseowned factories in a lot of countries besides China so um I I would not underestimate their ability to start routing packages through countries that don't have the same level of tariff restrictions even if they are made in China and I know for like a lot of businesses the thing is mainly some of the complaints are usually around the shipping times um but have you started noticing any of that from your suppliers where they're starting to route packages through different countries um just in case or kind of like just to prepare in advance for a lot of this it has so we've we've seen some items coming in so essentially where I'm located I'm I'm able to be very close by to Cambodia to Vietnam uh to Qualur so Malaysia is another area so essentially being being based in Thailand is a hub so essentially being in Bangkok makes it so we can actually just go everywhere we need to go so we can be in China for some points and then some other points we may have to go to Malaysia okay and have you have you seen it start to hit um the shipping times for your items like I said I've I've my experience has been mainly in smaller goods um jewelry doesn't take up a lot of space so like I can get I can get up to $800 worth of wholesale jewelry in a pretty like small relatively small size box um have you started to notice some of those delays hitting um larger packages or just like hitting across the board um for any of those that are going out well the funny thing is that some items actually made things a little more quicker so some items that if they're coming in from Thailand then we're dealing with less things coming out of China so we're able to to kind of uh gain a week or a couple days based on that okay that is good to know um and do you still like work with factories in mainline I want to say like in mainland China who've started to route their things um alternately in order to still like you know kind of keep things going into the US absolutely there's places especially in Vietnam that's one of them so Vietnam's another place that we can get some items and and and all we're doing is if we have to go and stop over there if it's something that that that's necessary then we'll do it but essentially we're looking at the items so if the items a ch a Chinese-based item then they happen to have another manufacturer that's that's in Vietnam but they're manufacturing everything in China first we can go and take a look at it over there as long as it's available let you know the quality of it and then we can still place the order out of a different place the order itself can come out of Vietnam okay and forgive me if this has already been asked and answered um are you more of an agent where you basically um like you know kind of serve as the liaison between the factories and shipping and everything and and negotiate prices and stuff on behalf of people that's exact essentially exactly what we are as agents so we're purchasing agents what we're looking to do is simple is we're looking to to be the American that's in the area taking a look at things because we we're going to know what what our guidelines are and it's a little bit different versus calling because they're the ones selling to you so if you're going to call that factory up they're not going to tell you that their products aren't going to be that good they're going to tell you "No everything's fine." Of you know it benefits them to tell you everything's in good shape so they can sell it okay and you and you uh do you work with like low minimum order quantities or are you working like exclusively with businesses with large purchase orders it happens to be more on the larger end we're we're definitely willing to to start looking and and and and taking into strong consideration the smaller end because the thing is again if we're looking at this in a way where it's a a cooperative type of purchase if there's a ton of people that are going to be doing this then it'll make sense to do it so we we will take a look at it if you're thinking if you're thinking something might be small just reach out it's not going to cost you anything just take a look all right uh and I'll just leave this everybody tissa is bringing you all the tea on this because one of the seriously like one of the biggest things for people who try to start up like whether it's drop shipping or like you know even if you order a certain amount of inventory direct like if you want to do a boutique or if you're trying to um like you know kind of just build up inventory to sell online one of the most difficult things um in doing it like you can go to Alibaba and try to contact a bunch of people yourself it'll be hit or miss so really like from Tissa bringing Claudio on she is giving you the tea for because what you need is a good agent and honestly like you know like a lot of agents really don't even want to mess with you unless you're doing already doing quantity and doing scale so you have to go through those bumps before you can even get to it so if you're just looking to redo your bathroom or redo your kitchen you know you might have to kiss a couple frogs before you get to the prince that's actually going to be able to get you the hookup so um yeah please pipe down with the with the hate and when it comes to the I I saw that earlier comment oh it was going to be made by slaves and kids um I listen I I can't I'm not on the ground i can't speak to working conditions but what we've never seen that just to let you know that all the time over there we've dealt with nothing but them being very very nice with us very polite very generous uh everything there is very clean it's it's it's beautiful over there so it's it's definitely not what's expected uh essentially what we're looking to do is we're looking to save you time because if let's say you're buying something from the States right and you you you don't want to take six days to get to where you need to get to and then from there you have to take care of visas you have to take care of setting everything up so essentially the money you're saving you could be losing your time by going out there to do that yeah and also like I've I've worked um not directly in but certainly around the fashion industry enough to tell you all that if you think that the people like making your stuff and if you've seen Tissa's earlier earlier videos then you already know this but when even when you're get getting stuff that's stamped with made in Italy or made in France once again I'm just going to give a throwback to what I said earlier that you don't realize how many Chinese owned factories there are in different countries and you don't realize even among luxury brands how many of those um things are contracted out there was something earlier this year where Dior got uh called out for the price of those uh book tote bags that cost something like $50 or $60 to make and that's because they contract those out so you know there's there's not a canvas in the world that is handstitched by unicorn and like spit on by baby elves to make it worth what they charge for it that is like that's been the game the game has been with all of these like luxury brands that especially for things that are not leather that are not um you know some of these really fine materials you are really paying for the name and the conditions in those factories are probably not that far off of the ones that you would find in mainland China that comes down to the workers that are in there actually putting these together um as as well as who's actually getting those bags together so whether it's Chinese uh workers who are in Italy yes in a factory um you know like owned by someone in China or whether it's somebody directly in mainland China stitching it um it's really not as much of a difference as you would think you know we I'm doing a video about that because I actually think that is steeped in honestly classism xenophobia and racism yeah it's a little honestly it is something and there's so right for the people I've been to China you know China is living in the year 2050 people think that China is just like backwater dirt people are like when I tell you that when you come to go to China so many things little things even where the trash cans are placed how to order food what to eat even price of living the We are living in the stone ages compared to them the level of technology the level of cleanliness the level of order and safety that they have in their society now don't get me wrong every society has its dark side but we have a idea of China that I don't even know ever exists it's just it it's like if somebody says to you "Oh my god but are they going to be is Uber going to be able to pick you up in New York City?" And you'd be like "What?" I mean do they have Uber there that's how ridiculous do they have places in New York that can pick you up and drop you off yeah taxi Uber Lift that's how ridiculous it sounds when you get to China you will just see they are light years ahead of us in so much so much i I haven't like I haven't been personally but I can tell you that right now I'm getting into like a lot of the AI stuff um and I can tell you just even for the models that are coming out um this is one I'll try not to get too nerdy because then everybody's going to tap out of the live stream they'll be like "What is this?" But um for nerdy we love it go on everybody knows Chad DPT and one of their big things is basically the chips and everything and how expensive it is for them to run their AI models there's a company called Deepseek that came out of China and embarrassed the dog mess out of them because they came out with a model that they built for like under $10 million which when you think about AI is actually relatively cheap that basically was up to par in terms of performance so yeah like y'all sleep on China if you want um I I I'll admit it i'll admit it i've been getting my bags from Canal Street uh if if I had to and I am not above purchasing other stuff for them so just dropping that there but uh yeah thanks Clauddio for joining tissa thanks for letting me get my questions out there i and I just want Thank you so much YM as always you are a wealth of knowledge thank you so much girl tjon said "Super chat thank you so much this is a great informative live." But let me just address that too because you don't say that to Walmart you don't say that to Amazon you don't say that to Target you don't say that to Restoration Hardware you don't say to CB2 it's funny to me in America and yes I'm going go on a ramp we have been so conditioned to let the billionaires who can afford to do America and what make a difference we don't have anything to say but if you see a average person trying to get ahead all of a sudden oh you should buy American from where from who from Amazon that's not American from Walmart that's not American either we're doing the same thing the big companies have and if you truly want to get power if you truly want to get ahead the way to do that is to start making and selling your own stuff start your own businesses and if you have to do that from sourcing from China do it and when you can afford start sourcing it from your neighborhood build factories in your own neighborhood take it back to 1940 without the racism but my whole point of the matter is do what you can with what you have and last thing I want to say about Clauddio's business you guys you're going to have to stop like this is an American business claudia does not work for a Chinese factory he is an American that lives over a New Yorker that took that hustle overseas and said all this way I can help put people on i can help communities and I can make money and he became your eyes and ears again like my Droid said you can go and look at these suppliers yourself but it really is buyer beware claudio for a very modest fee and you're still going to come out really will do everything you need to do to make sure you're making a quality thing clauddio works for himself he's got this isn't China PR and it's like you guys stop it stop it you're so busy worried about whether we're helping China this and that what does your bank account look like can you tell me that what does your bank account look like because the single biggest person helping China is Amazon is Walmart is quite as kept the American government they sell China more US bonds than any other nation so and more real estate so stop it stop it stop it worry about your class have some class solidarity and think about a way to get ahead okay i mean because quietest is kept honestly this all started um by our government not wanting um I'm just going to say a certain class of people to get ahead you know if you wonder why the factories start why all of the labor started moving to China in the first place um happened to be around the same time as civil rights laws where people were supposed to be paid equitably started coming into place i won't I won't snap on that but um just saying it is a masterclass in the way that racism xenophobia and elitism uh consumer elitism and also classism came into play and that's how they ran over to China in the first place and now they're mad that over in China they f China 10 years ago 15 years ago started doing a major push to create a middle class they started demanding minimum wages minimum labor and when I say minimum wage I mean like so if you work a factory job you can live a comfortable life they started demanding that and that's when all these manufacturers that's when these Amazons and stuff started getting mad because even China's like "You can't pay us $2 anymore you're going to need to pay us a liveable wage." Now the C Yeah the CEO at Apple said exactly that so there's a video of Tim Cook where he said "We don't manufacture in China because they're the lowest cost we m manufacture because they have the skills so all of the time when the US was saying like "Oh no like you know factory jobs we don't need those." Like you know that that's not worth anything um we'll ship that out china said "Okay we got it." And they picked it up they did what they had to do um and they built it up and so these are not you know like this is not low-skilled uh super cheap manufacturing um it's not to hate on any of the surrounding companies but if they really wanted that it would be in Vietnam or it would be in you know like some other countries that you're not super aware of some of the ones who have the biggest trade deficits because they're poor countries who cannot afford to buy any American products and those are the places where like I said you know like China has they they have their stuff set up but overall like when you're you're talking about dealing with Chinese manufacturing you're talking about doing it because you want people who know what they're doing and by and large they know what they're doing um on these things and I guarantee you like you know regardless of the supply chain there is even if you've tried to buy American um my couch was made in Mexico you know like my a lot of other stuff it it varies depending on the product but just you know like it's not impossible for skills to be developed um in these places where they're producing quality um the people the people there the people there are like you and me they they really are the people there when you go there they're very humble they're very polite um I've never seen ever any conditions that look like something that we need to report or or something you know I'm not saying it doesn't exist you know I believe it does but in in the areas that we're going to there's nothing that's been out of the norm everything's been on the up and up and uh I I've always been they never looked at me and because I'm a little bit darker you know said anything to me it's always I've always been treated with respect
