Gog and Magog Prophecies

Some people were thinking that this war is happening now, the war of Gog and Magog with the war between Israel and the nations around it. No. According to the Bible, Israel will survive this war. This is not the big battle of the north. This battle between good and evil, light and dark, it's been there from the beginning of the world. In Ezekiel, it doesn't really mention Satan or the battle against him, but Revelation is focused 100% on the battle against Satan and his forces that he gathered. This battle will come. The Gog and Magog battle in Ezekiel is different from the Gog and Magog in the Book of Revelation. So why is it Gog and Magog in Ezekiel and also Revelation but it's not referring to the same war? These two battles are not the same. Hey guys, You know when we look at the world, we see that we're getting closer to the end times. And when we look at prophecies, it excites us because the second coming of Jesus Christ is getting closer and closer. But you know the Bible talks about a prophecy, about Gog and Magog. Gog and Magog, in my language, Afrikaans, I come from South Africa, if you're here for the very first time. So what is this prophecy about? Well, there's actually two of them. One we read about in the Book of Revelation and it happens right after the Millennium Kingdom. Revelation 20:7: And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the sea. This battle between good and evil, light and dark, it's been there from the beginning of the world right? Since the prophecy of the seed of the woman that will be against the seed of the serpent, the snake, right? From that prophecy throughout history, we can see just these forces of evil and darkness, this continual battle, and this Gog and Magog, is the final battle that ends it all. But after doing all the effort, Satan gathering forces, a big force now to have war with God because he thinks he's got a chance. God just ends it. Verse 9: And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them. And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur with a beast and a false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night, forever and ever. Now when we look at the Old Testament, we also see this battle of Gog and Magog in the Book of Ezekiel. But these two battles are not the same. It's different. Read it with me. The Word of the Lord came to me. Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against them. And say thus says the Lord God, "Behold I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal." Now if you read the footnotes here, you will see that Rosh is also mentioned here. I'll talk about that later. So this person, this Gog from the land of Magog from the north, will gather a huge force, come down, and attack Israel when they do not expect this. Now, these names, Magog, Meshech, Tubal - do you recognize them? Have you read their names before in the Bible? Yes, they are Noah's grandchildren. Genesis 10:1: These are the generations of the sons of Noah. Shem, Ham and Japeth. Sons were born to them after the flood. The sons of Japeth, Gomer, Magog. There you go. Madai, Javan, Tubal. There's the other one - Meshech there's the other one. And Tiras. Always remember you are the descendants of David and Noah. So Ezekiel is referring to these descendants in the north that will attack Israel. Now some people were thinking that this war is happening now, the war of Gog and Magog, with the war between Israel and the nations around it, like Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran. But it is not. No. According to the Bible, Israel will survive this war. This is not the big battle of the north. This prophecy will only come when these nations of the north band together and attack Israel. A huge coalition including Russia, which is Rosh, Iran and Turkey. Now the Gog and Magog battle in Ezekiel is different from the Gog and Magog in the Book of Revelation because the people and the timing is different. For example the battle in Ezekiel is against the armies of the north involving just a few nations of earth. But in Revelation it involves everyone - all the nations - and then in Ezekiel it doesn't really mention Satan or the battle against him. But Revelation is focused 100% on the battle against Satan and his forces that he gathered. So it's different. Also when we look at Ezekiel it explains the burying of the dead for I think it was seven months. But with Gog and Magog after the Millennium Kingdom, this is not necessary. Why? Because it's the end of the end. The old earth and heaven will be destroyed and a new heaven and a new earth will be created. So there's no use in trying to bury people for 7 months because it will all end. So why is it Gog and Magog in Ezekiel and also Revelation but it's not referring to the same war? Because it is referring to the same rebellion of war against God. Both will be great wars. The last one will just finish it all. And that's just going to include all the nations. But when it comes to the one with Israel, in Ezekiel, that northern coalition of forces will come down, they will think they will win because they're catching Israel when they don't expect it and they will be huge in number. But then, they won't win. Why? Because God will fight for Israel. Read it with me. Ezekiel 38:18: But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel declares the Lord God, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare on that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field, then all creeping things that creep underground and all the people who are on the face of the earth shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down and the cliffs shall fall. And every wall shall tumble to the ground. I will summon a sword against Gog and all my mountains declares the Lord God. Every man's sword will be against his brother, with pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into the judgment with him. And I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him, torrential rains and the hailstones, fire and sulfur, so I will show my greatness and my Holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. God has a plan for the nation of Israel. It's started back with the prophecy of the woman that will give birth to the seed, the Messiah, that will end the works of the devil. It is not - let me just say this - He also has a plan for Israel in the end times. And it's not because Israel is more special than other nations. It's just because God chose this nation to show His power through to all other nations, to everyone on earth. Now if you or your country want to wipe Israel off the planet or try to, listen to this warning. God says in Genesis 12:3: I will bless those who bless you (that is Israel) and him who dishonors you I will curse and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. This prophecy will come true, this battle of Ezekiel, it will come the more America and Europe grows weaker fighting with themselves, destroying themselves from within because I can see that. I just came to America and they're just destroying themselves from within and over time as America and Europe, strong world powers grow weaker, these nations will grow stronger and attack Israel. This battle will come. There's been so many prophecies in the Bible that came true and when we look at Jesus, I mean it's amazing. There's no other book like this. Over 300 prophecies just about Jesus the Messiah. Around 30 of them focused on the time of the crucifixion where He died for our sins and they all came true. Are you ready for the end? I sure am. I'm getting excited, the more I see, you know, these things happening. A lot of people get afraid but you don't have to be afraid because we are already victorious through Christ that is in us. He has already overcome the world and everything is just going according to what He prophesized already. And He's just giving people time to choose the light or the darkness. And if you forget about this, the end times, just think about this. You can die any day. Are you ready to meet God? Only you can answer that question and God. But now if you are curious about the end times and the rapture - those kind of things- watch these videos here. I'll see you there. Remember to subscribe and never forget that God loves you. I love you too. Bye.
