what's up guys today we're going to review the eyu bike S4 moped style electric bike what makes this bike stand out in the pack is it has a massive 25 amp hour battery pack it's full suspension and it comes in at a relatively low price point but considering the price of this thing it's making some pretty bold claims 96 newton meters of torque 1000 watt motor big battery I feel like it's got to be cutting some Corners somewhere so let's unbox it build it and take it out for a test ride see what it's made of don't grab those Staples this thing's a freaking Motorcycle Dude well there we have it 1000 watt Hub motor kind of surprised I figured it'd be a 750 watt motor ground seat I like the look it's got a tail light on the rear seat looks comfy check out this hidden package it's a seat extension put that on in a minute dude so check it out even though the motor is a thousand Watts it doesn't mean anything I figured the controller would be up here I don't see it how much power that can be sent from the battery to the motors depending on the size of the controller I don't know what that is but we're gonna find it foreign look at the size of that battery is that really held on by zip ties and there it is 48 volt 25 amp hour this is a massive battery and here's a first look at the suspension I'm not really sure if it's adjustable but it's always great to have suspension on these moped Sally bikes and check it out up front it's got a dual Crown Fork you dial in your compression as you see fit that piece is red a little more red there and there's some red on the wheels as well I hope you're cool with red accents be free so it's got the same 20 inch wheels that we see on almost all these moped bikes same exact knobby four inch wide tread pattern the red accents is different and it's got a 160 millimeter disc drilled and slotted for the brakes Kenda Brand Tires with a reflective strip I'm guessing these are packing material hopefully let's take a closer look at this thing the big boy oh my God oh wait do it got to see what charges it yeah e-u-y oh isn't that pretty did they send me a Valentine's card activating the service warranty one year warranty for a legit has a heart on it this is a special day yeah let's check this headlight out oh yeah we've seen this before this is a nice one typical pedals they give us uh a pump nice I haven't seen one like this oh whoa okay just have a feeling this isn't going to be the strongest charger what do we got yep two amp charger so two amp charger 25 amp hour battery 25 divided by two he ran this thing down to empty it'd take you like 12 hours to charge it from empty to full now the good news is you could upgrade the charger to something stronger three amp maybe four amp maybe more I mean seeing the price of this bike I knew they'd have to be cutting Corners somewhere but that's it wouldn't be much to upgrade here's the connector type pretty standard very typical charge port maybe it'll be ready by tomorrow no I forgot to charge my drill you know what dude this thing actually has a fan on it hear that dude where is the Energizer Bunny when you need him that is a weak go all right what do we got going on here ergonomic hand grip with a Twist throttle on the right these are hydraulic disc brakes typical seven speed shifter check out the right side pedal assist levels light and Horn display is come out you come out and play okay very very basic check it out in a moment BMX style handlebars have quite the rise to them and they sweep back definitely sweep back just a little bit seems like it'll be a pretty good riding position this bike does have hydraulic disc brakes Logan hydraulic disc brakes we'll see how they perform I've actually seen these on other bikes and despite their relatively unknown name they're pretty decent and there is absolutely no rubbing of the brakes gosh darn it I pet my Durrell here this is my fault I decided to tip the bike on its side they even have the guard on there well how did I mess this up look how to show you what I did maybe it'll help you just don't do this well check it out it's got that derailleur guard maybe I didn't do it actually yeah maybe I didn't do that it's all right I'll fix it in a minute dude so after flipping this thing back over I'm realizing this is like not like a child size bike some of these moped style bikes I've reviewed they're like pretty darn small this one actually it's got a little bit of size to it it's like an adult size all right so it's baffled where the controller is sometimes they're under the seat didn't see any wires coming from there it's built right into this look it says controller maximum current 23 amps plus or minus two so 25 amp controller not bad that'd be about 1200 watts of peak power pretty solid really especially considering the price and the size of that thing how's the control they're so small the fenders are plastic which I actually prefer because when rocks kick up they don't make like loud clingy noises and they're lighter no need for metal fenders and here's what it looks like when you get the headlight and Fender on all right just gotta fix this down here real quick basically uh remove that screw It's Gonna Fly only at one end actually I might I don't know the frame might be fine I think I just I need to bend the whole this whole thing I think this bike got dropped gotta get that torque I don't know if that's gonna be enough shoot that's too far the other way I think it's better than it was before watch this battery I was tried out turn this thing on it's the basic display I'd expect from a bike of this price point and specs light turns on and off check it out you get zero one two three four five that'll assist then use our current so we could see the current drawn awesome time odometer trip voltage of the battery awesome so I love that we get to see the voltage of the battery 54 is full also shows us our percentage of the battery so we get the voltages of the battery as well as the percentage readout as well that's awesome and yeah current of the motor we'll see how much wattage so let's see what it can do twist throttle only [Music] [Applause] dang this thing seems like it's got some power theoretical Max of 34 miles per hour brakes sound good check it out dude smokes [Applause] this thing's got some oh dang loud horn check it out here's the headlight oh wow you turn it off it's got like little Halo like daytime running light pretty freaking bright yeah that is a really bright headlight daytime running light looks pretty sweet and brake light works too all right let's get the eui bike S4 out for a ride oh by the way I did fix the derailleur it's pretty easy and I put this little seat thing on the back battery is fully charged of course we'll start with the Strava to check our official distance which in theory could be substantial with this huge battery but usually for me what that means I'm just gonna ride faster than normal no I put another scuff mark on the floor this is not good you already know the first thing we're going to do is the 20 Hill grade test I do have high hopes for this bike I weigh 200 pounds we're gonna do throttle only pedal assist five you can see the current right here ready to go 1000 watt motor decent torque it's bringing us up the hill six miles an hour pretty strong hill climber actually let's see if it can start uh just on the hill and do it I wasn't looking at the torque number or the current number what's it say 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 so it's like giving it more and more current 19 okay yeah so this thing can climb that grade pretty strong bike and really considering the price of this thing the performance the specs you get the size of the battery the power seems pretty legit and it is a very windy afternoon here in Southern California we'll get on out to the beach brake levers feel nice so talking about the comfort of this bike so it does have like the Dual seat thing kind of going on the seat is actually pretty comfortable I mean I've seen the seat on another bike it's pretty decent uh seating position for a six foot five dude I can tell you right now I will not be doing much pedaling on this bike let's turn the pedal assist down to what zero actually let's see throttle work on zero no no throttle on zero prank it on up to Top Gear of seven so this bike is a little bit larger of a moped style e-bike some of these ones I try they're like little baby machines but on pedal assist one here let's see what it does here oh wow this thing's got quite a bit of power even on pedal assist one it'll bring you all the way up to 18 miles an hour basically definitely a little bit of lag on that pedal assist sensor let's see if this is accurate pretty close GPS is saying 16 this is saying 18. bump it on to pedal assist two definitely a pretty significant lag on that uh Cadence Sensor we'll time it here in a moment wow this thing just wants to haul though dude all right let's put this thing on pelosis three see what it does speedometer might be off by a little bit GPS is reading 23 this is saying 25. pedal assist four we can make this light 20 amps the current 21 22 20 showing uh basically 30 miles an hour on pedal assist four let's put it on pedal it says five now oh I'm not pedaling anymore dude I'm done with it done with it pretty much long story short this thing hauls man it's just outputting so what is uh 21 times 54 on a full charge that's going to be the wattage output of the bike the 1134 Watts so yeah I mean this thing's like legit 1200 Watt peak output motor let's ride it off-road full suspension feels great I mean as good as a bike can feel off-road I would say really at this price point so I'm just gonna be running this thing high speed man it's a big battery which means technically you get more range but typically what I do is just run it run it faster really merging into traffic dirty strong headwind the current is kind of fluctuating a little bit oh version on over see if we can make this light too so you definitely run out of gear kind like I you know I'm pedaling a little bit but it's goofy dude this is a fun bike for the price I mean if you look at some super 73s and compare it to what you get for the money on this bike uh I have a big smile on my face right now I'll tell you that dude as I'm riding this thing I almost went to go put my turn signal on it just feels like I'm on a motorcycle right now so even though the Cadence Sensor pedal assist does have a lag throttle does not it's instant reply from the throttle and that's what really matters on a bike like this in my opinion we'll go ahead and do the zero to 20 acceleration I weigh 200 pounds it'll accelerate faster obviously if you weigh less let's just see what it does here ready go going into hadwin I'll run it back the other way and 20. maybe like 21 would actually be 20 as we saw the speedometers a little bit off this thing will accelerates you have Beyond 20 so you know it's technically not legally in class three it should cut you off at 20 with throttle only brakes do feel really good though hydraulic brakes on the spike hydraulic always feels better than mechanical just a very linear smooth feeling smooth feeling break let's run it back this way and see what the 0 to 20 is hello doggy got some traffic go don't really feel the wind right here and 16 17 18 19 20. 21 amps still outputting up to 25. still 21 amps 20 amps now [Music] all right all right all right so it has a seat Etc I'm gonna try sitting on that see how that feels being on this you know you could maybe run two people on this I didn't see exactly where to put put where exactly to put foot pegs I'm just going to sit on that back seat oh wow so that like really stretches you out and gives the bike like a whole different like feel it's kind of nice man like you can uh move around on the seat on this bike loam see I wonder if they have a passenger footpeg kit for this thing I'd say the motor is definitely strong enough for two like smaller adults oh yeah I think I like sitting further back dude I am just getting all the green lights today I'm not just going over stuff like that this thing is a hooligan man yeah we're holding it's a pretty high speeds on this thing first thing that comes to mind for me on this bike is I wonder if you could just swap out that controller to hire amperage controller it's got a big battery and the controller is built right into the battery holder so I wonder if you could just swap that out for like a 25 or you know 30 amp controller battery tray and push this thing even harder I don't know I'm just asking questions I mean on a lot of these bikes they're rated for like 750 watt continuous Motors this one has a thousand watt continuous motor so pretty much what that means you could run this thing at higher power for longer without it overheating and I'm just like I'm just whipping this thing man these brakes feel great good good times out here today man sunny day in L.A oh finally hit a red light yeah these brakes are feeling great I mean they are 160 millimeter rotor hydraulic brakes on a bike this big kind of the typical standard would be 180 millimeter rotors when you're gonna notice that is turn green turn green oh there's a walk side the only time you're gonna notice that is if you're repeatedly like slamming on the brakes or going like down like a long downhill descent you might get a little break fade eventually dude this could hardly be considered a bike that guy was on an e-bike and we're just like cooking yeah so after my first few miles on this thing it's it's comfortable dude like I'm feeling good so far I'm liking it Navi tires of course they're gonna rip right through the sand we'll take it out there in a little bit okay as promised I said we take a look at the Cadence Sensor lag on the pedal assist uh not pedaling pedaling power so there's a pretty good lag there not pedaling pedaling power so yeah pretty significant lag and then it ramps on the power it doesn't like just hit you with all the torque right away which is kind of nice it makes for like a more you know beginner friendly pedal assist kind of mode you might be able to get into settings and change that actually a lot of these bikes you can get in the menus and change it I'd be using this bike mostly As you know twist throttle kind of like of course you can just use the throttle to get that power immediately let's see if we can make it up the little sand section here ah almost it's just hard to Pedal this bike because you know you sit so far back on the seat it's a little awkward uphill in the sand that's pretty tough range update so after five miles of pretty intense riding 21 minutes five miles it's showing 52 volts and it's reading out 78 which is a little conservative looking at an actual conversion chart 52 volts is actually more like 83 percent so yeah it's pretty close but it's always good to see them a little more conservative rather than saying you have more battery than you actually do and full suspension on the rough bumps here on this section of the grass of course it feels good all around man uh looking at the price of this bike right now and the value you get it is really not bad at all in my opinion I've seen a lot of moped style e-bikes offering less and charging more than this bike so pretty decent just gonna see what's happening over here by the skate park so windy out here today this thing handles really well it's another day out here in SoCal let's see if this thing can go off in the sand a little bit of air throttle only maybe give it a little bit of pedal assistance down to the water moving at about 20 mph just think Cooks man on-road or off see if we can make it back up the hill now I just did like a solid probably like one or two miles of riding this thing like by the beach off in the sand oh no I need the downshift gears all right yeah we can we can make it back through the same just got to give it probably a little bit of pedaling oh don't give out on me little motor here we go just barely one thing that I do find kind of annoying about this bike is with the location of the kickstand when you roll it back it'll hit the kickstand and prevent you from uh rolling it back a lot of bikes nowadays they'll put their kickstand all the way back here so you don't have that problem another minor gripe is the hand grips are not held in place by any sort of bolts so they can rotate on you a little bit I can just kind of feel the outer edge of this one rotating a little bit but it's held in place up here we have an escapee all right we'll run it up this hill Full Throttle No pedaling giving us 17 18 amps night 20 amps apparent pulling us up 10 miles an hour absolutely no problem at all for this bike we'll go ahead and run it up to California incline seven percent grade 85 85 foot climb for one final Hill test so I have not pedaled this thing like at all today and I was like writing it off like pretty intensely uh in the sand next to the water let's see how it does climbing this thing just fine holding 10 miles an hour throttle only scooter gang coming around the corner there we go bottom of the California incline Full Throttle giving uh 17 amps 18 miles an hour hopefully you guys can read that uh very small discrepancy in the speedometer it appears about one to two miles per hour holding 18 miles an hour 20 amps of current and we're just running our normal routes we're just down there we'll test the brakes out uh they feel great they really do these Logan breaks are kind of like an off brand but they work good let's see what kind of speed this thing will show going down the California incline 32 33 33. better use the brakes so they are hydraulic disc brakes hydraulic they just feel like a lot more smooth like they give you like linear feedback when you're pulling on them compared to like cable brakes also known as mechanical brakes now they are 160 millimeter rotors instead of you know on a bike that weighs this much maybe like 180 millimeters is kind of more the standard now these will do just fine as long as you're not doing something crazy like going down you know like going to the top of the Santa Monica Mountains and then bombing down you know like they can only dissipate so much heat but you know they feel good for like normal riding we'll go ahead and give them a true test here from 20 would be 21 here oh yeah they they really bite they bite good excellent brakes I'm kind of surprised how well they bite considering they're only 160 millimeter rotors again the size of those rotors just kind of determines how quickly they dissipate heat which is what your brakes do they just convert your kinetic energy into heat give it one more brake test here from 20. foreign oh yeah really good brakes on this thing man all right dudes final thoughts on the eui bike S4 we'll check the final range here in just a moment I can tell you right now it's not going to be good and it's not anything to do with the battery it's how I'm riding it so it has this massive 25 amp hour battery pack on there and yes you can get excellent range with a huge battery pack but me personally I find that I end up riding a lot faster I just know it has so much energy in there I can go faster and push it harder and more strenuous places I mean it's 1200 Watt hours which is much larger than we normally see I do like that the company website does give you like a realistic range like you can get 75 miles it says you know if you go slow and help it but also if you're going fast utilizing all that power you'll only get you know like 44 miles they claim we'll see what we end up doing so if you're looking for a full suspension moped style electric bike I think this one's actually a pretty good option the list price is 1600 bucks which isn't a bad price but right now it's actually on sale I don't want to say the exact sale price because it might change but there is a link in the description box below this video and you can click on that to see what the discount is being that it is a full suspension electric bike with a huge 25 amp hour battery pack 1000 watt motor and can output 1200 watts of peak output it's comfortable I feel like this is actually a pretty good deal I mean it's got the twist throttle the Halo headlight the bright headlight the rear tail light and brakes it's got pretty good torque it can ride out in the sand it climbs Hills well it's a 96 newton meters of torque I don't know it's not the strongest hill climbing bike I've ever tried but it's in the top 10 percent for sure you want to grab one you can click the link below this video in the description box of course that would help support this Channel and I greatly appreciate your support but let's see what the final range is this is what a stolen bike looks like here don't lock your bike up with one of these cables interesting handles nicely I think I might just try to run this battery down to zero our dudes I'm calling it quits at 30. this thing's still got a lot of punch in it we're still hitting 29. but six percent remaining honestly they're selling themselves short a little bit because it says 44.5 volts and according to the Chart 44.5 volts is more like 35 remaining I mean you could run a 48 volt down to 39 volts so they're definitely a little conservative on their battery I rode this thing like a motorcycle I did not pedal this thing like at all today maybe you know I might have pedaled like a half a mile on this bike the entire day and I weigh 200 pounds considering the performance and the price and the specs on this bike I think it is worth the price if you're looking for a moped style bike like this and you want to grab one click the link below in the description box buy through that link and it would help support my reviews here on telehe TV however if this is not the kind of bike you're looking for you can watch this video next thanks for watching guys give me a thumbs up drop a comment catch you next time
