morning bhagam class at Ison n C Pune I'm very grateful to be amongst all of you today after some Gap I think I came here around preo something like that and it's always a great fortune and blessing to come to Pune and see the beautiful forms of Radha ran Chandra jagat Bal subhadra and and G and meet the wonderful amazing devotees here who are such wonderful examples of sadhana consistent sadhana morning program is so vibrant here uh the attendance of Mangal arti and japa here in this temple Hall is remarkably great and also the hospitality of devotees here the way they greet with so much love and affection it really touches the heart the Exemplar sadhana the interest that the devotees have in hearing harata is simply amazing so in all ways it's a great dose of inspiration that I derive whenever I come to pun in fact in 2007 when I was staying in Nei yeah har Krishna how many of you understand English directly okay there is sizeable crowd I from South India if I speak Hindi you will run away so I better stick to what I can speak so I am very grateful to be with all of you and the purpose or the goal of associating with devotes is to intensify our Krishna pra our attraction towards Krishna our love towards Krishna and that is most effectively done when we discuss harata with devotees and here in this great assembly of several vnas and vnis for the next maybe an hour or so we'll be discussing harata and that's the life and soul of devotees as all of you know shat bhagavatam is considered the cream of all Vic literatures it's the essence of all the scriptures after vas has compiled several literatures vas puranas upanishad Mahabharat still there's a discontentment in his heart he was not sufficiently satisfied so he wrote shrimat bhagavatam Under the inspiration and instruction of naruni and that completely satisfied his heart shat bhagwatam is that literature that completely satisfied the heart of vasad it author transcendental author so this bhagavatam is considered essence of all scriptures and the essence of shat bhagavatam is there in 10th of bhagavatam that describes the n r Lea of the Supreme personality of godhead Krishna and within that shat batam the most essential and sweetest portion is the 10th can of bhagat that describes krishna's Past Times and within the 10th can we have the rasa padaya the five chapters that describe krishna's Divine pasts with the gopies of ravan and within that rasa panad five five uh chapters the middle chapter 31st chapter is the Gopi Gita and in Gopi Gita we have 19 shlokas in the middle of this little section of Gopi Gita which is a song of Separation sung by the topmost devotees of Krishna the gopies the nlok isoka so what are the gopies doing so in the most essential literature in the most essential Kanto in the most essential episode right in the middle the topmost devotees of Krishna the gopies are glorifying the process of chanting krishna's glories [Music] [Music] means means Krishna they are referring to Krishna oh Krishna your Kata is like am means the narration of krishna's topics like Krishna means Krishna is it's the it's the life and soul of all devotees tapa means one who is undergoing some tapa tapa means miseries suffering so who is the tap here a conditioned Soul under go so many material miseries because of material attachments and material desires the condition all undergo so many material activities and as a reaction to one's material actions there is uh suffering for those people who are suffering in this material world life and soul isna am means that which induces life that which makes one immortal nectar for those who are struggling in this material existence the real Amit the real life inducing force [Music] is and thisa can also refer to very Advanced devotees who are undergoing suffering because of their feelings of separation from Krishna this refers to the gopies of in this current context of rasa the gopies of ran are feeling intense separation from Krishna because Krishna went they're crying in separation from Krishna in that situation of Separation where's love for the Beloved is intense what pacifies what consoles a devote is Krishna what were the gopies doing in such intense feelings of separation from Krishna on the bank of Yuma in the middle of the night in ravan Forest they were discussing krishna's pastimes they were singing the glories of Lord Krishna right they were enacting different Past Times also not only singing they're enacting the Past Times when Gopi becomes Kalia another Gopi becomes Krishna and this Krishna Gopi stands on Kalia Gopi and then start dancing right one Gopi becomes Pana another gopy becomes Krishna and kills this other Gopi so like that they were remembering krishna's past time they were enacting krishna's past they were absorbed inish whether we are conditioned Souls rotting in the material existence in the cycle of birth and death undergoing threefold material miseries or whether when when is very Advanced devote in B stage or pra stage it's Krishna that gives juice in their lives of a devotee whether they are struggling sadakas or Advanced sidas Krishna is life and soul of a devote right great philosophers Scholars pandits they also glorify Lord Krishna when we discuss means the contamination of anas lust Envy Pride greed within our hearts is completely eradicated m means it creates great auspiciousness to discuss Krishna is the greatest source of auspiciousness to chant the holy names of Krishna is the greatest uh way of creating auspiciousness [Music] [Music] [Music] means the process of chanting the holy names of Krishna glories of Krishna is the real source of all auspiciousness Kal means auspiciousness s means those who are on the right path those are following the right path of spirituality s for such s people is Krishna Krishna in this way the gopies are glorifying the will process of chanting the holy names of Krishna and glorifying Lord har Krishna so those who perform uh this glorification of Krishna chant the holy names of Krishna and spread Krishna kaata all over this universe and create auspiciousness for all the conditioned souls in the universe they are the most benevolent benefactors in the entire creation they are the most manificent souls in the entire creation so to absorb one's minds and hearts and ears and tongue in the glorification of Krishna is the goal of human life is the means to attain that goal of ever enthusiastically absorbing ourselves in the glories of Krishna in this material world people have a lot of enthusiasm to glorify themselves to take great pleasure when others are glorifying us all the say devotees are those people who take great pleasure in glorifying Krishna and great and they take great pleasure when others are glorifying Krishna to see others glorifying Krishna is the great source of pleasure for a sincere devote although bhat says like this many conditioned souls in this world or most of them they take great pleasure in self glorification like a frog croaks in the monsoon season especially just to announce that I'm such a great singer all of you should hear in this big well or in this nice Lake I'm the best singer so let me sing my own glories let me boost by croaking so what does the frog do by doing so frog only gives the GPS location of where it stands to whom the snake the snake of death comes to devour this prog that's absorbed in in speaking one's own glories similarly the conditioned Soul who is so excited in boasting about one's own good qualities is only inviting the snake of death to devour himself or herself but devotees are those people who take great pleasure in chanting the holy names of Krishna and spreading the glories of Krishna this kishna must be broadcast all over the world because it creates the greatest auspiciousness so let's glorify Lord har Lord Krishna for the next few minutes so on the altar we see G Krishna and jagad say G Krishna Jag the Lord manifests in so many forms as ganga Maha pru as his selfs absolute from Lord SRI Krishna and also jagad with big eyes and big smile covering his glances upon all of us and that Lord manifests in multiple forms and one such form is Lord ramachandra form as Raman Nami is approaching very soon in just few days I was asked by the organizers devotees here to speak ramata there's no shloka as such so you speak glorious of Lord ramachandra they said speak whatever I can manage to speak in few minutes actually there is no difference between R Krishna and ganga there's one beautiful schloka in shat bhagat 11 that describes the Past Times of ram Krishna and ganga all three in one schloka with the same wordings to give up very difficult to give up let's let's begin somewhere let's begin with gang mahab right how is this schloka applicable to Lord mAh has given up what did he give up sud that which is extremely difficult to give up means difficult to give up sud means extremely difficult to give up what did he give up means that opulence is desired by even great devatas also Raj lakmi that great opulence what is that opulence Lord mahu he was staying in naad area at a beautiful home with a loving mother saim and his wife and so many followers like Adara nityanand pru haridas takur SAS Pandit murari Gupta so many such wonderful exalted personalities are the personal Associates of Lord Ganga mahu every day he was performing haran spiritually or externally there nothing material in Maha pru's past times but from external perspective of Home Security satisfaction at home with loving mother and loving wife that is the available for L and uh spiritually speaking he has very wonderful devote Association where he's performing Haram San every day every night so many followers Maha pru says tomorrow let's perform a mega Haram San and confront the Chan Kazi LS of devotees schem just one order one statement of CH so many people followed him so that followership good home nice family followers friends so that's very comfortable situation that many people Aspire for but Mah has given it up means he became rooted in his Dharma of what of honoring a Brahman spoke something giving importance to what this Brahman spoke mahu has given up his comfortable situation who is that Brahman once a Brahman wanted to enter SAS and participate in Lan mahu's praman along with his personal Associates but somehow he did not get that entry next day this Brahman who is generally a bit angry he cursed l chanya i curse you may you be deprived of any material happiness need not accept this curse but still he has accepted Thea he accepted the curse of this Brahman and he gave up his homely opulence and he enter entered AR entering AR is like taking SAS and entering ARA also specifically refers to entering jaran forest and making all the animals you know dance in Ecstasy of chanting the holy names of Krishna the conditioned soul is searching or pursuing this mayam illus happiness in the material existence means out of his great compassion upon the conditioned Soul who is purs pursuing material Pleasures Lord Ganga Maha pru accepted SAS and gave them Krishna okay not only that is also pursuing his uh his own personal goal his own private goal of Krishna in the mood of shrimati radharani he searching for Krishna so that's another reason for appearance let's offer obces to that Mah Lord further this also describes the glory of Lord Krishna rajmi means Lord SRI Krishna appeared in this Maura city which is very opulent and the opulence of MAA city is aspired even by great devatas also but Lord Krishna has given up that opulent MAA Kingdom and where did he go he entered the forest which Forest not jarik this is refers to his own parents his parents told him Kam is there he may trouble you my dear Krishna in the mood of parents of this little baby who is just born daki ma they became concerned about krishna's safety then Krishna said okay fine take me to go so he went to now here may is has a very interesting explanation Maya refers to Shati radharani here krishna's personal energy internal potency mam means a toy animal mum has a meaning animal but mam can also mean a toy animal little girls sometimes play with some toy animals right like that Krishna in became a toy animal in the hands of shrimati radharani Krishna is just an ornament of the real ish Krishna is also running behind little CES inan as a coad boy th the also describes the Past Times of Lord Krishna and the also describes the Past Times of Lord ramachandra this is where we will begin our ramata rra has given up that which is extremely difficult to give up Sur that which is aspired by great devatas also lakmi the great opulent Kingdom of aodha it was announced that Ram will be coronated but K's intervention made that announcement little different time is same m is same but notas M so this is not the time where Ram is being coronated on the Simas this is the time where Ram will leave aodha and enter the forest but R accepted it he has given up this opulent Kingdom of aodha and he entered AR which AR dandar jarh this is Dand he's rooted in his Dharma what was his Dharma as a prince as a son he was supposed to uphold the promise given by his father Das Maharaj Das Maharaj has given a promise to K that he will fulfill her two desires one desire is Ram has to go to one ofas second desire is bhat has to become king although J mahaj was not at all uh excited or happy with this desires but there's a sense of obligation in this material world we may end up doing something which we don't want to do but we'll end up doing it because of a sense of obligation we are forced for what whatever reason so the Maharaj was obled he cannot say no he cannot say yes he was silent he was crying but Ram took it up as his responsibility to fulfill the promise of his father he went to vanas here may refers to who has taken the form of a golden deer to Allure mother sitha sitha wanted the golden deer and ra and he was running behind his illus golden deer to fulfill the desire of mother let us offer our obces unto the Lotus feet of Lord ramachandra Rama Krishna GA all three personalities are all three forms of the Supreme Lord are described in this one schloka so ramachandra is an aboard of all great qualities in wmik ramayan the initial shlokas describe at least 16 qualities of lord ramachandra and there are many more so g means he a an aboard of all good qualities Hanuman G glorifies Lord ramachandra as a a testing Stone sometimes to test the quality of gold that gold is just rubbed against a testing Stone whether it is 24 gar gold or some other alloyed gold to test that Ram is like the testing Stone how it's not that Ram became So Glorious because he has some good qualities because Ram man ested those good qualities the qualities became glorious because Ram exhibited them right when a celebrity advertises a product this is a great product take this product gets some attention right similarly a great celebrity like Lord ramachandra Universal celebrity multi-universal celebrity the celebrity of the spiritual world when he advertises being an ideal son being an ideal King being an Ideal Husband being an ideal brother being an ideal King so that qual quity gets attention oh I need to follow this forgiveness Lord ramachandra is very forgiving Lord ramachandra is very accommoda to Raam is extremely benevolent and compassionate when vibhishan came to take shelter of rra Rah said forget even if ra personally comes I will accept him as my friend I'll forgive him so this quality of forgiveness gets great attention when Rah exhibits this like that Ram is about of all great qualities and it's not that Ram's Glory increased by exhibiting some quality the qualities Glory increased because R exhibited it the son of mahaj there's no one who is an expert Bowman like ramachandra in the entire universe very sober very composed very calm no agitation very peaceful sh very [Music] sober let us take shelter of that Lord who is an ocean of compassion so Ram is an aboard of all great qualities as waliki describes as Hanan describes in shat bhagavatam fth K I think 19th Chapter you can see this Hanuman glorifies the Lord as testing stone that verifies the greatness of all good qualities so Lord ramachandra is very uh unique in having devotees from multiple backgrounds as we hear from various scriptures the Lord is impressed with our sincere devotion and not our external qualities sug glorifies Lord Ram as in this glor ramachandra again from the fifth C 19th Chapter if you want to find where glories of Lord ramachandra are there in the bhat you can see fifth can to 19th Chapter and nth can to 10th and 11th chapters already ramayan was existing so Suk go Swami did not spend so much time to elaborately describe Ram's past times but he gave a quick summary so in this summary there is one schloka that that is spoken by sug he says that Ram to become your friend to become your devotee to become an object of your grace we don't need to have such great qualifications birth not required M great qualities not required great opulence no need means eloquence does eloquence please the Lord no budh great intelligence no need physical form we are all monkeys we are all vorous physical form is also not very impressive to you it will not satisfy a lot externally one may be very very qualified in 100 different ways but all this external qualifications are not necessary prerequisites for your mercy oh Lord otherwise why would you make friendship with me I am just living inuma Mountain I'm a mountain dweller Forest dwelling and you made friendship with us so in another say [Music] there's a hunter Nam V what does he know what great eate does he know so culture eate is not a qualification to get the mercy of the Lord what is the age of 5year old boy is age a criteria to get krishna's Mercy R's mercy no was gendra a scholar a Pandit a philosopher no he's a an elephant then was a hunchback lady but still Krishna go showed some mercy so Beauty physical beauty is not a prerequisite to attain krishna's Grace R's Grace sud was a simple Brahman who has 100 holes on his do and he's putting a knot probably he does not even have a needle and thread to stitch it he's putting a knot there he doesn't have even one handful of poha to offer to the Lord his wife went and begged some uh flat rice and he offered that flat R to Krishna with great hesitation but Krishna grabbed it and at it so wealth is not a qualification coming from a great Dynasty is that a great qualification to get the Lord's mercy no Maharaj was a great courageous chhatria how many battles did he fight so physical strength is also not a [Music] prerequisite sincere heartfelt devotion is the only way to attain the Lord's Grace Lord ramachandra was very very merciful towards someone who is coming from the demoniac Dynasty Vian someone who is coming from the V Dynasty sug Hanuman Ang all of them Vana be jamban a tribal Persona an atic lady shabari and who else a vulture jaai so Ram has devotees from multiple backgrounds and there are so many Ries also great sages brahmanas Tapas they are the fans of Lord ramachandra devotees of Lord RAM and there are so many chetas and brahmanas definitely Rah is kind towards them because of their qualification but there are many people who are coming from unconventional backgrounds Rah is blessing them also you can see this example very greatly in Ram's episode how the Lord is impressed with our biti and no external prerequisite can please the Lord the Lord is pleased even with a squirrel also how much service can a squirrel do in comparison to Hanuman Hanuman is getting big big boulders mountain peaks great trees he's approaching great trees for the construction of this bridge across the Lanka ocean and here is a squirrel pushing some small pibbles and stones and some sand particles only for the construction of bridge Ram is pleased with both of them I'm pleased you don't have to be the best you do your best in the Lord's Service as per your capacity so ra is pleased with all of them squirrels and know some some animals or birds or demons or tribals or atics or brahmanas or chrias everybody is Lam's devotee even prahlad says the Lord is not so impressed with our yog this one do qualifications will not satisfy the Lordan so R is very merciful towards devotees of different different backgrounds let's go little systematically let's begin somewhere begin with balakanda so ramayan has multiple Parts first is bakand second is aodha third is arand fourth kishkinda fifth sundarakanda sixth yudha next last is utarak in each of these parts of ramayan ramachandra is enacting so many enchanting leelas and giving us so many beautiful lessons his heart is beautiful whatever he does is beautiful so beautiful he has a beautiful heart also not only a beautiful form sometimes somebody may have a beautiful form but the heart may not be so beautiful sui was beautiful definitely but her heart is very harsh very hard heart very easily attainable he gives happiness to everyone who sees him means one who gives enjoyment to everyone one who also enjoys means younger brothers or any one who is very devoted to him he gives happiness to all his associates and Amar when R releases an arrow it can it it can never have a defeat it will never fail giving up ramachandra whose shelter should I take I cannot take anyone else shelter that's how the devotees pray so in the balakanda we see the appearance of Lord ramachandra Ram lman batat these four Divine expansions of the Lord the Supreme absolute TR appear as the four sons of thear Maharaj he does this sacrifice putes because he did not have children so finally he gets four sons and some references say that Ram lakman are the expansions of the the spiritual world and some other references say that Ram lakman are the expansions of Lord Vishnu anant chka and chakra p shanka and Sudan chakra which is correct both are correct prop writes in the fifth K first chapter fifth K I think 19th Chapter first one he writes that both are possible because Ram appears not just once he appears in multiple kalpas in different kalpas he appears as the expansions of different uh forms of the Lord in the spiritual world so the the Lord appears uh and the Lord's appearance is divine definitely one who understands the truth behind the Lord's appearances and activities is eligible to go to the spiritual world so Ram appeared as a human being in this world but we cannot compare the Lord with ordinary human being he appeared to give training to human beings in this world again says why did the Lord appear all theas they were tormented by this rasas on this planet in this universe and they all went to the Lord and said oh Lord please descend oh Lord Vishnu please descend so the Lord descended in the form of human being specifically apparently it seems that he descended to kill raana yes which is definitely one of the purposes of the Lord's Incarnation but that is not the only thing ra has some kind of where he cannot be killed by Nar and vanan so the Lord appeared as Nar accompanied by Van to go and kill raan so it seems that R appeared to kill ran but that's not the only reason for the Lord's appearance the appeared in this in this material world in this mortal world in the form of a human being for to give training to all the human beings how to act according to Dharma how to uphold Dharma how to cultivate Detachment how to cultivate righteousness he came to train us means only it is the only purpose of L encarnation is not to kill the demons mean the killing the demons is not the only purpose of the Lord's incarnation the Lord appeared to train all of us so he appeared he grew up under the guidance of visha he was acting as his Guru visha is the guru of the ikaku dynasty so ramachandra and lakman sat they're all being trained by visha and one day suddenly vishwamitra comes and says that you please he tells dashar Maharaj you please send Ram to protect my sacrifice I conducting a sacrifice for the welfare of the whole world and there are two demons specifically marich and subahu they creating great disturbance they're throwing all kinds of abominable substances in my yakun such a great offense so the Maharaj you should send your son Dear Son ramachandra kill those demons the Maharaj just now promised to vishwamitra whatever you want I will do right my my whole life and whole treas and all my military forces are meant for your service oh great says you please come and sit on Sim just order me I'll give you whatever you want but as soon as vishwamitra asked this dasar Maharaj was not even hesitating to take back his words being a great chhatria and a member of Haku Dynasty That's The Power of Lord ramachandra his vsia feelings towards the Lord dasar maharaj's affection towards Ram overpowered hisa Dharma I should not take back my words forget word and promise R is more important for me he is so dear to me then VRA became Furious then vishi came and said don't worry dasar Maharaj please don't underestimate Lord ramachandra he's he is like a small child for you and of your vsia affection but Ram appeared to destroy all the demons in this world and it it begins this whole process of destroying the demons in this world begins with uh killing Mari CH subahu destroying Maran subahu under the pretext of protecting the sacrifice of vishwamitra just s and also please understand that vishwamitra if he wants he himself has the ability to destroy all the demon and protect his sacrifice he is coming and requesting you to send Lord ramachandra only to give you an opportunity to serve him and also give the knowledge of so many ASAS and shastras to Ram he'll be further trained I trained him to some extent and RAM will be further trained under the direction of is and he will also get the knowledge of so many weapons special weapons Mystic weapons he just s sometimes when we are too caught up in an emotional uh moment we may fail to recognize the future fortune in future Ram is going to be well equipped with all military uh strength and ideas through the mercy of vishwamitra so you should send him don't don't deprive Ram of this Fortune by by covering him with yours affection so basically he gave some kind of counseling to the Maharaj of course Ram doesn't need any Guru to learn the military science but when the Lord appeared in the form of a human being he also has to set a good example of being an ideal student ideal disciple of a guru under guru's recommendation under's recommendation his father dasar Maharaj is sending Ram to vishwamitra so Ram has to honor it I have to follow the instruction of my elders my father is ordering me my Guru is ordering me to learn from another Guru vishwamitra let me just follow R exemplified this quality of submissiveness obedience respect towards elders and gurus and parents so Ram along with vishwamitra along with lakshman lakman is always following R lak lakmi lakman is endured with great service attitude his real wealth the real lakmi is service attitude he's always absorbed in service to ramachandra just as lakman is so absorbed in service to R is always is absorbed in service to bat these two pairs of the Lord's expansions are inseparable so RAM and lakshman went to the forest there as they're going to the sacrificial Arena of vishwamitra they found this great demonist named takti everybody knows and vishwamitra said you should kill her immediately Ram was a bit hesitant initially thinking that oh she's a woman how can I kill but later he reconciled that oh she's not just a woman she's a demonist rasy creating so much trouble to so many people and my Guru instructed me guru's Grace is more important for me than Public Disgrace my Guru instructed me to kill her let me just follow this let me not just be overly um concerned about the public opinion public will comment in 100 different ways but gurus instruction is more important for me to follow so he killed tataki and he moved ahead and he protected the sacrifice of vishwamitra by killing subahu and by chasing away Mara so just with one Arrow of Lord ramachandra maricha just went several thousand usas ahead and he just falling there unconscious so after this uh vishwamitra was very impressed with the service attitude with the good culture and obedience and the power of RAM and he instructed him in so many uh weapons Bala aala there are so many different kinds of weapons I don't know that knowledge okay we don't need also but Ram received all the knowledge of using different weapons ASAS and Shas from vishwamitra then vishwamitra wanted Ram to go to mtila and to take D of that Shiva danhu so Ram went there and about 300 men I don't remember the figure about 300 men were keeping a big shivanu on a great Chariot and they were pushing very hard they are just forcefully dragging this great Chariot into the Assembly Hall and ramas asked to examine it and attempt to string it to cut the long story short ram just effortlessly lifted it just like a baby elephant effortlessly lifts sugar cane Ram just lifted it and then strung the bow effortlessly and just he pulled the string and making a t sound that great bow was broken into two pieces so this is Ram's greatness and CI saw SII was impressed with Ram's Beauty and Ram's strength also and Ram's speech also a who is AI R completely impressed SII with his Beauty with his strength with his speech with [Music] everything what is rajik rajani means night rajik King Of Night Moon that's why Ram is called ramachandra Krishna is called Krishna Chandra ganga Maha is called gandra their face is so beautiful like Moon Pleasant like Moon only difference is there are no spots moon has some spots our divine personalities have no [Music] spots is appearing the sakal chra means Moon that has spots felt very ashamed gandra is giving his Das or ganga mahu is like the real moon without any spots on his face he's giving his D so why should I open my D let me close the curtain he went behind the eclipse so coming back to ramachandra so he is like I forgot just I recited this is kuga memory okay anyways his face is so beautiful like king of Knight that is chra then rajani is this Moon rajini Char is one who wanders in the night who are the demons R means the king of all the demons that is raan he subdued the pride and anger and the wicked nature of ran let me offer my obces onto that great ramachandra so R thus marriedi and after marrying SII Ram lakshman bat satrna along with their wives total four couples are there married together at mtila so they were going back to dashar maharaj's Kingdom that is aodha one more thing that happened here is there's when tayor in mtila he stitched the wedding dress for Ram and lakman with so much love and affection and this tayor uh as soon as RAM and lakman wore their wore that dress and came out this tayor became so impressed my God my dear Lords RAM and lak are looking so resplendant so amazing so beautiful and it's my great Fortune to be able to stitch their wedding dress if only I get that opportunity to personally decorate them and dress them with my own hands I would be even more fortunate even more blessed he already got one blessing he's a little more greedy to get a bigger blessing Ram noted the desire and that mitila Taylor became a weaver in matura in his next life then Rah and lakshman appeared as Krishna and balaram and they were touring MRA City at the time this mtila Taylor which is now Maura Weaver he came and personally dressed RAM and lakshman in the form of Krishna and balam with cloth ornaments so whenever we have a sincere desire to serve the Lord the Lord notes the desire sooner or later he will fulfill the desire just ensure that the desire is spiritual whenever we go in front of the Lord the glances the loving merciful glances of the Lord will induce spiritual desires within us to develop desires spiritual desires and to eradicate material desires stand in front of the few minutes every day as long as possible every day so the Lord's loving glances affectionate glances will induce spiritual desires within our hearts and maintain the spiritual desires and fulfill the spiritual desires also the creation of spiritual desires maintainance of spiritual desires and fulfillment of spiritual desires is possible by taking D of the Lord this is mentioned in shrimat bhag you can read 10th 13th chapter so the Lord Lord induces spiritual desires Lots D induces spiritual desires just like uh the D of RAM and lakshman induced the great desire within the heart of uh this Mya Taylor so after that Ram lakman sa and all all the new couples they're going towards uh dashar maharaj's Kingdom aoda at the time there is this uh big storm appeared big wind is coming very Fierce wind and so much dust was coming and then everybody was bewildered what's going to happen now is it a sudden hurricane some flood is going to come so they were bewildered then our dasar Maharaj and janaka Maharaj they asked these two sages vishwamitra and Vish what's happening now why is this sh hurricane why is this dust storm coming here then these two sages said that is the uh that is the indication that pararam is just few hundred Yas away from here I I forgot the figure exact figure but the is several kilometers away from here and this is the effect If he if pararam comes little closer what would be the effect we just cannot imagine and is coming very fast very soon he will reach here then dasar Maharaj and janak mahaj become extremely fearful what's going to happen now then they asked the sages Vish vishwamitra what are we supposed to do now what is your suggestion do you have an advice plan of action now how to protect ourselves from the wrath of param then Vish and visham said generally we don't have a common opinion if Vish says something vishwamitra has to say something opposite if vishwamitra says something has to say something opposite but in this context we both have same opinion exactly same opinion what is that opinion please reveal without much suspense surrender fall flat on the ground offer sang pram and then surrender that's the only thing you can do so everybody surrendered before even bam arrived there everybody's falling flat on the floor but two people did not fall flat RAM and lakshman RAM was standing there and pararam came with great Fury great anger and said who is the who's the tram the ram came forward and said you are the tram then pararam was a bit surprised with this very smart and clever and spontaneous answer by RAM and said yeah of course I Am ram undoubtedly I'm Pam but I heard that there's another Ram who appeared Inu Dynasty in ragul and I have heard that he has done a great offense to Lord Shiva by breaking his bow who is that person I want to see him then Ry very politely said that yeah I'm the tra that you're talking about but I never broke this shivas bow I just lifted it like this why did I lift because my Guru instructed pararam had the background of being so obedient to his father jamadagni and he did not even hesitate to chop off his brothers and mother of course later he asked for the Revival of their life also but you are such an obedient person you're obedient to your Guru and your father similarly as a part of my uh discipleship under vishwamitra according to his order I also lifted this bow but when I lifted the bow it is so old that it could not even bear my touch it just broke into pieces right I did not intend to break it I just it's it'sa Dharma V Dharma and also sish Dharma to follow the instruction of Guru and to just lift this bow and it became it was so old that it just broke oh really you are so powerful that you are calling shiva's B so weak and old that by it cannot even bear your touch that it can break by just your touch you just hardly 12y old boy so if you are so powerful I'll give you another challenge what is the challenge he said that I will give you Lord vishnu's B Vishnu Chapa you have broken Shiva Chapa I give Vishnu Chapa Vishnu Chapa is vishnu's bow you try to lift it let me see your strength said why not you are my Guru you also like my Guru you are my worshipable senior Superior I have to follow your instruction the way I follow the instruction of my Guru vishwamitra I'll follow your instruction also please tell me what am I supposed to do so par was a bit surprised why is this boy young boy newly married boy he sometimes showing so much impudence and sometimes showing so much submissiveness so I want to test him so he closed his eyes tried to invoke the presence of Lord Vishnu B in his hand he meditated deeply he saw he didn't manifest hand was empty then again he closed his eyes with intense meditation he was just trying to invoke the presence of Vishnu Chapa and then it's not coming he was really surprised again he closed his eyes again he's trying to meditate third time also it didn't manifest and he opened his eyes he saw R is already holding it ramachandra is already holding that Vish japa and pararam understood you're not an ordinary person so you are the Supreme Lord I can understand it both are expansions of the Lord only but parar is sh who appeared with the D to destroy all the miscreant chrias so he said my dear Lord I have done my job I will retire now R pararam is not needed anymore raguram is required for this world you please continue the mission of please you go ahead so he just left in this way Ram came back to aodha so this is balakanda a quick summary now we will go to the next kand which is uh aodha kand aodha Kanda begins with I not complete Ram tomorrow we have a session right don't worry it's how much time we can go 9:30 yeah in 10 minutes I'll do few more so in in aodha we see that Lord ramachandra uh is so dear to all the aodha they became so impressed with his good manners and his care his love his affection and they all loved him more than their King one day dasar Maharaj wanted to give a surprise to all his citizens surprise gift he said that I have become quite old now I have consulted my ministers and school of advisers and brahmanas so you please accept Ram as your king and I will retire now then the citizen started saying that oh dashar Maharaj this is the best decision you have ever taken in your King till now then a bit uncomfortable for a moment what do you mean you didn't like my rule till now so no no not like that but we love Ram so much that we are so excited and very enthusiastic to have him as our king that's why we said we don't please don't mind and the M actually felt happy yes yes they love Lord ramachandra so much whenever a son is appreciated by so many people or disciple is appreciated by so many people a genuine father and a genuine Guru Rejoice they don't feel insecure they feel very happy they feel very proud of their descendants or successors so the mahaj became happy and theat Maharaj uh announced the coronation of L ramachandra then this announcement went into the ears of Manara Manara went and contaminated the mind of K as everybody knows very very important lesson here is we should never hear gossip although Ki had such great loving affectionate feelings as a mother towards L ramachandra she has given up all that love and affection she became so hard-hearted so cruel so selfish that he wanted to send Ram away from aodha for 14 years in the modern day all the allurements presented by Maya in various forms Maya has unlimited forms now it could be in the form of a smartphone or a laptop or a tablet or a or or social media or whatever it may be Maya has multiple avars now multiple forms now multiple Representatives so just like K is pure love and affection for R is affected by hearing from Man by associating with man similarly our Pure Love and Affection towards the Lord devotion towards the Lord is disturbed by Maya around us we need to safeguard our sadh Safeguard our Consciousness in the fourth C of shrimat bhagavatam there's a beautiful analogy that a farmer has to raise mud banks on all four sides of the crop so that all the water coming from either the clouds or from his pump is retained within the crop within the field only if he doesn't raise mud bangs all the water will just go out so he has to raise mud bangs whenever there's some extra he will just keep some opening so that the water goes from this field to the other field next section okay so just like a father just like a farmer retains all the lifegiving water within the field by raising mud Banks a sadhaka also has to protect one's Consciousness let the Consciousness not flow out if we allow so many negative forces to contaminate our our brains our our minds then our Consciousness we are just giving it whenever we are allowing that negative propaganda to enter our ears we are opening the uh opening the room of our Consciousness room of our heart to release the Consciousness to go out so negative gossip will enter in Consciousness will go out your Krishna Consciousness will go out so we need to retain that Consciousness within the per of devotional service whatever is favorable for our advancement in biti let's hear only those sound vibrations let's not allow the negative sound vibrations to affect us when we allow pure sound vibration of Krishna K to enter our ear that will remove all the contamination in the heart but we allow when we allow contaminated Sound Vibrations to enter our ear holes that will remove the Krishna Consciousness in our heart right we should be conscious of Krishna but that consciousness of Krishna will be affected or diverted or distracted or contaminated by allowing Kaka who says this brah says this he says when we hear Bad Words gossip and Sound Vibrations that are disconnected from devotional service Sound Vibrations that have no relationship with our enhancement of then their mind is corrupted Consciousness is corrupted when we hear that our our Fortune is destroyed life become juiceless a person who hears Kata bad words is thrown into hell just by K hearing this poisonous words from mant she lost her husband she lost her beloved Son Ram who went to vavas Lost means lost the association and she lost the trust and love and affection and faith and respect of her own sonat Maharaj also and all the AES are blaming k for being the cause of separation between them and RAM aodha l ramachandra so much that they feel that Ram's feet are so tender that they cannot even bear the touch of the delicate fingers of SII sometimes when SII wants to massage the Lotus feet of Lord ramachandra she would touch that feet and Ram's feet will become reddish they cannot even bear the touch of SII and those Divine Lotus feet are walking in this Fierce forests of dandar where there are so so many pebles and thorns and um and all kinds of sharp objects just by the thought of ram walking in the forest of dandar would make all the aodha faint not in ecstasy in concern in anxiety just like the gopies of ran are so much into anxiety because they think that Krishna is walking bare foot in the vind similarly a are also thinking R is in dandar what would happen to his lus feet now such exalted devotees of Lord ramachandra are kept in separation for 14 years all because of K because K heard something that she's not supposed to hear we may hear gossip about another VN we may hear some bad propaganda about another VN this devote is like this this devoties like that that will contaminate our Consciousness we lose respect for that vnow by losing respect for that vnow we become offensive we lose taste in bi we become depraved of the association of devotees right like invited that Misfortune into her life by inviting the words of manra to enter our her ears and heart so ramchandra went to vanas and the next part is Aranda Aranda describes the last one year of vanas and of course in aodha there are many more events I'm just giving a quick summary in few minutes in in arand there's one more important incident bhat Maharaj comes back from his grandfather's home and he finds aodha like a crematorium in one sense nobody's face is having a smile everybody's very sad extremely tragic Ambience is is saring this entire Maura City I mean aodha City so he first went to his mother he asked k k what happened where is Father where is brother Ram why all the aod are looking so moros and so sad then K said this is what I have done for you now this AIA Throne is waiting for you please go and sit and Rule Rule whom some T people who are cursing my mother and who are also seeing me like a villain you see everybody thought that bat had a desire to sit on the throne of M Throne of aodha and he is the one who instigated K to ask those BS from theat Maharaj and send Raam to one ofas people misunderstood first K misunderstood bat K thought that if I give this Kingdom to bat bat will be very happy that is a misunderstanding of the intentions bat was misunderstood first by K and after that when bat came back visha misunderstood bat Ki misunderstood bat Maharaj all the aodha Misunderstood bat now bat Maharaj felt that no I should not be in such a situation he wanted to clarify his intentions he tried his best to clarify the intentions but still the glances are glances but some genuine people trusted his words like K sumra Kia visha many people in aodha trusted now bat mahash thought that I should go and bring my dear Lord ramachandra back to aodha so he took some of the aodha vasis many aodha vasis and he went to uh the forest to bring Lord ramachandra From a Distance lakshman who was I think sitting on a tree he saw the flag of aodha he saw so many Chariots of aodha coming he can recognize he's he has been a part of aodha now he can recognize the flag of aodha and he can recognize the Chariots of aod and soldiers of aodha from a distance he saw then he understood bhat has sent Ram away to vanas and bhat is now coming to attack RAM and kill Lord Ram so that he can just keep all this Kingdom for himself see lakshman also misunderstood bat everybody misunderstood except Lord ramachandra lakman went and told my dear uh RAM just give me one order you just give me one order I will destroy bat and his whole a SAA that's coming to attack us then Ram said Relax lakshman how can you even think like that how can you even think that bhat comes to attack me bat is like my life and soul and I am his life and soul he will never think of attacking me or even conquering my kingdom or taking away my kingdom even in his dreams don't misunderstand him just wait here keep silent and watch what's going to happen and bat came fell at the feet of Lord ramachandra and said I will do on your behalf you come and rule aod on your behalf on my behalf right I cannot sit on the throne in your absence it is BH it's a great bat is called Bat because he's bearing the burden of the Kingdom that position that privilege of being on the throne of Aya it's it's a burden for him it's not a privilege for him it's a burden for him in the op of Lord ramachandra and he never sat on the throne he kept the shoes of Lord ramachandra on the throne such a genuine devey such a sincere devote is misunderstood by many aodha vasis and even the personal Associates of L ramachandra the pain of misunderstanding the pain of being misunderstood by other vnas is more painful than all kinds of physical pain you may get headache you may you may get leg pain hand pain you may have some other severe chronic disease you may experience so much pain the pain of being misunderstood by other vnas is very intense pain so we should never give that experience to other vnas first to give a benefit of Doubt instead of immediately judging their intentions and labeling them as uh as people who are hypocrites just give them a benefit of Doubt don't misunderstand bhat maharas experienced that misunderstanding from all aodha but did bhat leave the aodha he went and clarified his intentions in Fr of vishi then Ki and all the aod vasis and he requested them all you please come with me to the forest all of us together will request Lord ramachandra to come back and sit on the throne of aodha he requested them we need vnas even ifas sometime misunderstand us we need their Association even if the devotees are dozing off in their japa their presence next to us will help us chant right even they sadhaka Bas even if they are Nei devotees still their presence their association their presence is very much required for our advancement and our survival in biti their prayers are required Kia got the dust from the Lotus feet of Krishna not the D of krishna's lotus feet dust from krishna's Lotus feet not coming in a packet Krishna is personally dancing on every head of Kalia imprinting his Lotus footprints on his head and just bathing kalia's head with his dust although Kalia got the dust from the Lotus feet of Krishna Kalia needed the prayers of nagap patanes to receive actual mercy of Krishna right so we need to understand that without vnas prayers we are nothing brahmanas in the dapat Leela 10th P 23rd chapter recently his H Ram Maharaj was sharing this examples so brahmanas in the dapat Lea they very qualified they are well read in the scriptures they are well experienced in performing so many rituals and sacrifices but they needed the prayers of theis their wives for them to receive some Grace of Krishna there's a transformation in their hearts seeing the simple hearted devotion that their wives had here wives are more exper more advanced than the husbands and we also see that when Indra did a mistake for him to receive the Forgiveness of L Krishna he had to go through sui initially Brahma and so many stages in the upper planets that Krishna loves spouse more Indra you are approaching Krishna to beg forgiveness better you go withi then things will become little more easy we need devotees to get krishna's Grace So bat Maharaj bat although he was misunderstood by aodha vasis he did not give up the association of aodha vases he went and clarified his intentions and in their own Association he went and requested Lord ramachandra to come back and Rule aodha so this is an important lesson that we can learn from uh the aodha then in ariki wmik summarizes or elaborates on the details of Lord ramachandra vanas especially the last one year of his vanas as everybody knows Saka came being so attracted to Lord ramachandra It's not attraction to Lord ramachandra form where she wanted to serve the Lord but she wanted the Lord to give her happiness she her her attraction towards the Lord is characterized by selfish desire to enjoy with the Lord rather than giving enjoyment to the Lord but as know rejected rra would not accept a second wife Saka came with a proposal he said no I cannot accept you can you can check with my brother brother said lakman said if you become my wife you'll become a servant I'm a servant of R and you'll become a m Serv ofi would you like that no of course I would like be to be the master swamini and not dasi then then she again came to Ram see there is no ch there's no loyalty there's only desire for enjoyment if she's rooted in her attraction to R why should go to lakman she's just going back and forth between lakman and lakman and RAM and at one point she thought because of SIA these two boys these two men are not accepting me let me kill her so she went to attack SI Dei and lakman just cut her nose and ears and she went and gave a big advertisement about SI Dei to ran even before that she went to her brothers Kar and D they all came with 14,000 soldiers to fight with ram and RAM single-handedly defeated all of them 14,000 soldiers he defeated them then finally uh Saka went to ra and said see this lady this is so beautiful my intention is that she becomes your queen not the queen of an insignificant human being she should be the queen of rakasa Dynasty you should get her so that I can get him that is her intention so then two demons came in dis guys to Allure Siad Dei and to kidnap sithi to separate sithi from Lord ramachandra who are the two demons number one raana who came in the disase of a Brahman syasi who came to beg and second demon is Mara who came in the disg of a golden deer to Ure SII now Siad Dei was so attracted to this this beautiful golden deer and she asked Ram Ram ran behind the golden deer keeping lakshman there as a security for SII and to cut the long story short ram understood that it is rakas Maya shot an arrow and Mara died before dying Mara said Mara cried out for help lak please come and help me then that sound vibration entered the ears of Siad Davi now lakshman who misunderstood harat few minutes back now he is having the experience of being misunderstood by sithi now SII misunderstood lakshman oh one brother has taken away his kingdom looks like another brother wants to take away his wife such a painful statement of course Dei never intended to speak like that because lakshman was not at all agreeing to go and assist Lord ramachandra Siad Dei had to say something very drastic and very uh very moving very shaking so that lakman will just go from there okay so lakshman felt the pain of being misunderstood here bhat was misunderstood by lakshman now lakshman as a reaction to that offense done to bhat he is misunderstood by SII and later after Krishna after Ram rescued Dei saved her from raan's asaa Rah also said you stayed in Ran's Kingdom for such a long time how can I accept you and SAA felt misunderstood of course R never misunderstand is Shi and also R also wanted original not Maya but if I accept her what will happen to my original original is there next to AG okay AG has protected original and Maya he sat in as for one year so R never wanted to accept her he wanted to accept original sa but apparently to the eyes of so many uh viewers or readers of Raman Ram apparently slightly doubted SII so that we all uh get this important lesson that we should never offend a devote or misunderstand a devote or or blame or judge a devote unnecessarily okay so of course all these great personalities like bhat lakshman SII they are personal Associates of the Lord but in this past time they're enacting these kinds of roles so that we get this message never misunderstand a VN that's a great VN apad give a benefit of Doubt without sufficient proof you cannot label someone as hypocrite or duplicitous people right so understand the circumstances empathize with them Etc ET so uh lakshman I was misunderstood and he went and sithi misunderstood and SII blamed and chastised lakman and when lakman went to Lord ramachandra Ram started chastising lakman Ram said why did you come I told you my order is you should protect Dei if you come like this what would have happened to SII it's too much it's not you have violated my order see Ram is sasing is colding and our lakman left aodha Palace Comfort soldiers ministers his own wife and his own sleep 14 years he did not sleep only and he's rendering service toar and understanding lakman lakman did not get frustrated he did not say enough ofas I'll go back to aod I am serving these people and these people are just scolding me misunderstanding me that is service attitude even when the master chastises or misunderstands us of course on a spiritual level there's no misunderstanding but apparently there's an unpleasant treatment that a servant may receive sometimes through the master from the master but a servant is expected to exhibit some tolerance patience faith and service attitude that's what we can learn from lakma lakshman with great uh great enthusiasm continued to serve and and he was with Lord Ram throughout his uh painful phase of separation from sithi after that uh RAM went to search for Sia he met J J is another very heart touching incident I think I should stop here 9:45 okay I think I'll stop here we should not delay your breakfast that's another aad okay so we we'll continue tomorrow with the remaining few stories of uh the rest ramayan so thank you very much Gras bhat ramayan Rec model NCC MS har Krishna e e e e e e e
