RestoreX Penile Traction Therapy Device

Overview

  • Developed by Path Right Medical with Mayo Clinic
  • Next-generation penile traction therapy device
  • Easy to use in two steps: secure and extend

Initial Setup

  1. Familiarize with RestoreX

    • Pelvic ring fits against the body
    • Holds extension rods
    • Functional buttons (blue) for securing and releasing
    • Spring-loaded tension rods for traction
    • White band indicates minimum tension level
  2. Select Appropriate Extension Rods

    • Obtain stretched penile length
    • Measure full flaccid length using a ruler
    • Standard rods for lengths up to 6.25 inches (16cm)
    • Extended rods for lengths greater than 6.25 inches
  3. Use Self-Adherent Wrap

    • Improves comfort
    • Wrap penis 2-3 times
    • Avoid restricting blood flow
  4. Complete Setup

    • Push clamp release tab
    • Place wrapped penis in clamp
    • Adjust height for comfort (30-minute wear)

Using RestoreX

  • Initial Positioning

    • Pull RestoreX back toward pelvic ring
    • Place penis through pelvic ring and onto open clamp
    • Close clamp securely yet comfortably
  • Extending and Achieving Traction

    • Pull RestoreX back on tension rods, release lock
    • Lengthen along extension rods until white bands disappear
  • Alternative Method

    • Advance device along extension rods before releasing tension rods
    • If white bands appear, re-lock and advance further
  • Continue to Adjust

    • Tissue stretches over time, bands may reappear
    • Advance notches to maintain traction

Recommended Treatment

  • Initial Week

    • Start slowly, build to two 30-minute sessions daily
    • Separate sessions by at least 30 minutes
  • After Treatment

    • Open clamp, remove device and wrap
    • Store springs untensioned
