All right, we are going to be doing the SIT command and the application phase on e-collar. We did the teaching phase inside the house. So we're in a distracting park area. It's not super duper distracting, but there are some people around.
Walkers, not really a super big deal. What we're going to end up doing is the escape method, and that means that... stimulus is going to come on first and then I'm going to help with the word and then leash pressure if I need to.
We're going to end up finding his working level while we're out here with the distraction. So I'm going to start on his working number like we were in the house, which is just under that 10 mark. And if I need to roll up, I will roll up. And if I need to roll down, I'll roll down.
Go ahead and get started. Ziggy! Sit.
So he went into a down. I'm going to apply that leash pressure up. Good, yes. Sit. Fine leash pressure up because he went into it down.
And I'm holding stem here, guys, until he pops back up into his sit position. Good. Yes. Break. Biggie.
He went into it again. So again, I'm still feeding him. This is really the first time he's been worked at a park.
So we're going to feed a lot for really any good behavior that we're looking for. Sit. I'm just going to start helping him a little bit sooner with that down.
Good. Yes. Break. Sit. Yes.
So finger back on as soon as I saw him go into the down. Off as soon as he sat up. Yes.
Break. Sit. Yes.
Good. Yes. Great.
I'm not giving him a ton of food. It's just really like a couple at a time right now because he's not doing it like perfectly. Sit.
Good boy, yes. Break. That's it. I gave him a little bit more food there.
Yes. Break. Sit. Yes. Break.
So I started making some changes to how I was teaching him because he is wanting to lay down so much whenever I say sit and it's just because he's in the middle of his training day he's feeling a little tired he wants to lay down really it's not a big deal. does lay down but if you're really wanting to teach a client the difference between a sit and a down for their dog that's how you would have to work through that process. Good sit, yes. This is just me capturing I haven't done any collar work.
Break! I'm just trying to hone in on him knowing that that's the game that we're playing right now is him being in that sit position. Sit!
Yes! Break! Sit! Good, yes!
Break! Sit! Yes!
Break! That's it! Yes!
Very good! I'm going to jackpot that one. Great!
And we're going to end it on that note because that was a really good rep. I didn't need to correct him so much with the leash.
