cuz I feel like in all the other ones we know how powerful is to the point where it's like we don't need to touch him yeah and so they're like H well you guys already know we're not going to touch him we're going to let the other characters shine and I like that we allowed him to shine a lot more in this one but also I love like they also created somebody who almost destroyed him with his own power it's like yes there's been other moments where like you know he's has been taken out or whatever but this one was so extreme because he had to come to that realization of how strong he was right cuz you know we're still he's still in his younger age and I love the scene where he was like yeah thanks for letting me in and then fought back and I wish they played that I know it doesn't go with this film but I'm not going to lie I wanted that welcome to my house and I wanted like a I was so hyped for it the girl he's in love with originally I didn't want want her back because he lost her lik her and I'm so I'm kind of hating on her it wasn't her fault it's her fault I don't care what anybody says okay it's not mystique's fault and it wasn't Mago it's not his fault okay it was her fault let's go back to that scene it was her fault she needed to stay the F away all right she got in the way she's the one who had the weapon she's the one who fired it like true he wasn't trying to hit him she he was trying to wipe her out it was her fault okay I'm like I'm so bad I like M Magneto so like I you know I'm I'm a little bit biased and I'll admit that I I struggle with it but and I was like man why are we bringing this girl back like I don't need to see her like put somebody new but I take back my earlier comment in this and she did well she played her role and I actually enjoyed it at the end and even though part of me wanted to go I think she's a cute love interest for him though she is because really really likes her no she is because she's so innocent and wants to do the right thing so badly so they line up really well cuz he's also a character that's like wants to do the right thing so they they work well together yes I mean overall for me I think I remember not loving this and like compared to the other two in in this Trilogy I like the one before this a lot better yeah I don't think it watching it again I'm like oh no it wasn't it's not that bad but like there were moments where I felt like it dragged a little and I think that they were trying to introduce so many characters like rush it yeah just rush it bit and like I was also just like okay so you've introduced these mutants that apocalypse has you know taken to become his four horsemen or whatever like I didn't really care about them I was about to say that I didn't care about them at all pylo like what was her deal like she's one she's one mutant whose Powers I I'm not very familiar with and like I feel like I want to know more about her because she seems really cool but like they got Olivia mun playing her and and like she looks hot and all other than that and her giving some like intense looks at the camera I'm like what are you even about she's cool but we don't know her and and like I guess with with storm and with Angel it's like storm we know very well but even storm I didn't care about her exactly I didn't care if any of them got hurt in any shape of form I didn't like it they were fluffy for me they yeah they really were there's no reason for them to be there yeah that's like a lost opportunity there but maybe it was just like it was so bloated with characters it's like it already was long how can they go into showing more of these characters like Back stories and motivations without making it like a three-hour also I didn't feel like you needed Cole Williams Striker Striker yeah sorry I don't feel like they really needed striker in this I felt like that was a waste of yeah they could have just cut out that whole pod yeah for me that was wasted um it was cool to see Wolverine though cuz that's how they they got but yeah I didn't him I didn't like the I didn't like the Wolverine scene I at first I thought we were going to do more with it but because we didn't I hated it that was the one scene I absolutely hated I hate hate hate the fact that we brought him in and he had that thing on his head and then he escaped and we freed him that was dumb like that should have been taken out that there was no reason to bring him into this unless you were actually going to utilize him in a different manner yeah it was it was like I was excited at first and then I was like nah it wasn't super necessary unless they they really wanted to have this particular like end credit scene so they needed a way to tie in but it just feels like why we could have had more focus on the apocalypse story and and had them do that but I feel like they could have still had that ending without the Wolverine I feel like they could have maybe they could have taken it from a completely different character in order to get there you know what I mean I just couldn't stand that scene or they could have used that scene and then the next one go make a reference back to it so we're like oh that's what happened you know what I mean in the next one or something like they've done in the past other than that that scene I I was like I'm glad we got Quicksilver into into this again I love how he just shows up out of knowwhere he's become one of my favorites favorite guys because he's so funny to me like there's something that he's just sve he's he's so kind and but everything about him is like very sarcastic I'm obsessed with it I don't know how I feel about him being Magneto's son I'm not sure how I feel about that just yet because I want to see where they take it but I'm not sure if I'm like a complete fan of that move it feels funny that they they brought it up to then have him be like nah I don't think I'm I don't think I'm going to just yet which I guess okay that's that's fine choice but like it's a little bit frustrating because we want him to be like hey you're my dad like what was the whole point of coming I mean maybe I guess you could argue like he just wanted to see what he's like as a person before he like comes out understand that like holding off keeps you wondering and keeps you around to see okay how are we going to do this yeah it was frustrating yes that he didn't say anything but that's not the part that bothered me the part that bothers me is just taking in that that's his dad just that simple very simple don't over think it don't over think it it's just as simple as that I'm like I don't know if I like the fact that this is your son it's simple it's simple he and that's that's as simple as I I can put it it has nothing to do with the fact that he didn't say he was father like I'm like I can play with that I was sad that Alex Summers had to go um yes I really liked him he was cool he was actually very cool but even in the other ones like he was he was a cool fun guy so I'm shocked that they decide to eliminate him yeah because well I mean I guess that makes sense cuz like to date like in the older iterations of X-Men there is no Havoc there's no Alex Summers so he had to go at some point so that's just sad but I was happy to see uh Nightcrawler Kurt Vagner again he's so cute he's adorable it's like they they brought back a lot of really cool characters that we love another character you probably don't even know this but uh they had Jubilee in this movie so she was the Asian girl in like the yellow jacket and she's like a classic X-Men as well but I feel like they just kind of had her there for the fans but they didn't show off any of her powers she didn't do anything apart from just be there I actually didn't like her in here oh interesting I actually thought that in my head when I was watching I was like who's this girl in the yellow like she's and I didn't she's there for the fans I care for her wardrobe I didn't care for you know and I think it's because she to me she seemed like she stood out like a sore thumb but that's okay so that's because right so and I just was like what's the point of bringing this random girl like into this mix if you're not going to use her well those are my critiques I'm going to say some good stuff yeah pleas because I feel like all I did was critique and you lik it but I did I did I I actually I very I very much did like it do I like this better than the last one though the last one was like fire but I still enjoyed it and I still want more and I really did like it it's interesting because this was a little over 2 hours and yet I feel unsatisfied I know I was going to say something good but this is where I'm going with it this isn't bad I feel unsatisfied with it because I wanted more because I didn't feel like they completely um fed me I feel like they kind of starred me a little bit and and like was like here eat a little and then made me more hungry yeah like eating potato chips which is not a bad thing because it keeps me around and wanting more but anyways good good good good stuff I liked that they brought anytime you bring uh Egypt into the play of anything oh I'm I'm all about it and I think it's there's something that's so fascinating and cool about it that I love that they brought back and was like oh let's go way way back and show you the mutant was there we didn't have many and this is what like and the ones we did have this is what was happening to them yeah and it was controlled and blah blah blah blah blah I I like that I I liked it I didn't mind that yeah I think this film was really probably the reason why we feel like we wanted more is because like the X-Men are so cool and we have grown to really love these characters so anytime that we're exposed to them we're always like yeah more more more and the stories are so deep that you know we're always hankering after more which which is a good thing I do feel like they were kind of relying on our Legacy love of these characters a lot like the fact that they were using a lot of scenes from previous movies to kind of fill in the blanks and stuff it was like yeah you're kind of cheating at this point yes I have felt that I felt like they were pulling on my heartstrings to go back like you said whole that's what it it was that's what that's what I think it's just like they're they're kind of relying on a lot of the positive feelings that we have for the other movies and then just feeding it into this and being like that was cool right you like that right it was okay yes it was okay it wasn't but we could do better okay I'm going to also talk about uh Magneto I loved that they made him fit into the mold of an normal human being and the fact that he did like he went to these people's home and he did fit in and he did like them because this is what I this is how I I felt in that moment I that was probably my favorite the part of the story line was that Magneto ended up fitting in and fitting the mold of an a regular human and this speaks volumes because when that earthquake or whatever you want to call happen he deliberately went out of his way to save a human that he absolutely despises that shows me he created friendships true friends true connections with these people to save and use his power to and you know what I mean like a big deal to put expose himself and put him in in danger and his family in danger and the sad part is all those connection those connections and uh that he had built he didn't even want to he knew who he knew what had happened and he was like I don't want to hurt anybody let's go and the fact that they turned on him was actually really sad I wish that it it wasn't just so black and white in that moment I almost wish because they were like oh and I get why but I almost wish they had some people were like you guys he's been in our home like maybe had a little something where they protected him a little bit more and then went down that route I I so it's like not all people are absolutely scum and I love that he had a wife I love that he had a daughter I wanted to see more of the daughter and I wish they Let Her Shine a little bit more before killing her they kind of did a [ __ ] job at killing her and the mom at the same time I'm like yo you that lazy you're that lazy just one Arrow you're that lazy you're just going to go like that's I didn't like that but I love the story and the con the the idea of he was living among The Mortals created those connections and actually went through their homes and ate with them and talked to them and yeah he had like a whole He life he he but yes but even in that moment he lived a simple life and he was content he was happy for the first time that in anything we've seen we've actually seen him happy andent and he wasn't he wasn't even bothered by it or phased by it until the thing the the [ __ ] that he sa backfired on him and but so I did love that I wish we played with that idea more than this other stuff I almost wish that it could have been about Magneto and his family and that growth and that you know they were just I they Rush way too much there were there were too many different story lines that they had to deal with but if we took out if we took out Striker Striker we would have had a lot more room to play with yeah you know and I feel like they rushed that a little bit too hard because even though I felt bad for Magneto yeah we I didn't suffer with him like I normally have in the past and I wanted to suffer I wanted to we you all just want some emotional damage when we watch a movie but not only that it's like these are our key like these are our characters that we love and adore yeah don't do them dirty like that like I I was almost like upset like how can you sit there and just be like and I'm like really these are these are like we love these people what are you doing yeah don't just like they're not that disposable and that's just kind of how I felt but I still loved absolutely loved that whole scene yeah that I I I I love the story line for Magneto yeah oh yeah so yeah overall not bad could have
