There are two ways to use subtitles. One is to stick it directly on the video. Another is to use external subtitles. For example, Coach Tsai uses the external subtitles. This is a very time-consuming tool. Today in 2023, Coach Tsai will introduce a quick-release subtitle tool. It is OpenAI, the famous Treads GPD mother company. Another technology called Whisper. What is Whisper? You can translate the language into Chinese by pressing the right button on the website. Whisper can translate the language into words. You can do various translations. Whisper is a multi-function language identification model. You can transfer, identify, and translate multiple languages. Coach Tsai has found a very useful software. You don't have to give complicated instructions. You can use it on Apple, Windows, or Linux computers. You just have to download it. You can download the version that suits you according to your platform. You can download the Whisper language translation technology software. The latest version is 0.7.2. If you click on the website, remember to click on the latest version of the REST. Then download the version that suits you according to your platform. Before you do the translation, you have to do a preliminary work. You have to turn your video into a sound file. How to turn your video into a sound file on the Apple computer? It's very simple. Just use an app called QuickTime Player. You can click on the right button on the video to open the application. Then click on QuickTime Player. Then click on the file. Then click on the last button called Sound. Then save to the corresponding location. You can save to MP3 by clicking on Save. After this, click on Finish or Command Q to turn off this program. You can see that there is a sound file that has just been transferred. Next, open BUS. If you are the first time to open it, it will be slower. So the software we use today is BUS. Currently, Coach Tsai is downloading the version 0.7.2. If you want to update, you can click Check for Updates. After checking, click Close. The method is very simple. Click on the plus sign. Then go to the sound file that has just been transferred. Find the file called M4A and click Open. Then select Whisper. You can choose the size of the file. If you choose the highest accuracy, the longer the transfer time will be. Here is the size of the file. Click on the language. I usually choose Chinese and click Run. If there are many files, drag them to the bottom. Here is the status and the in process. You can see the progress here. The longer the time, the longer the transfer time. Coach Tsai's demonstration video is less than 10 minutes long. So the speed is quite fast. Click on Completed. You can see the text here. The text is not as accurate as Tiny. Click on the Whisper button at the bottom right. There are three options. First, TST is the text. Second, SRT and VTT are the text. Usually, we choose the second SRT text. Then click Save. Then you can turn it off. Here is the SRT text. Open the MOV and test the text. You can see the text is almost all the way. The resolution is about 90%.
