Notes on Blackboard Learn

Introduction

• Blackboard Learn is the platform provided for staff and students to access educational resources and support.
• Offers support in multiple languages, including English, Cymraeg, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Nederlands, Português, Japanese, and Chinese.

Accessing Blackboard

• Staff and Student Login: Available for those with a university-provided username and password.
• Guest Login: Requires contacting the individual who issued your credentials if there are login issues.
• Third-party Login: Option to log in using AAD.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

• Step 1: Install an authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Authy).
• Step 2: Use the app to scan a QR code or enter a key manually.
• Step 3: Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to associate it with your account.
• Step 4: MFA is now enabled, requiring a code for login on unrecognized devices.
