Israel to be a part of the Commonwealth Hallelujah we give praise the most high for you we're going to start off with a blast of our shofar Hallelujah to call it solemn assembly to gather the tribes of Israel together in this condition but as we have what is called a set apart convocation Hallelujah we are commanded to have a set apart convocation on the Shabbat Hallelujah all right so we're going to blow us all the Hakeem if you have your so far let's get it ready to blow Hallelujah [Music] Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah all praise be to Abba yahuwah and we're just gonna get ready to um to recite the Shema Hallelujah we are embarking on a new series well it's not a new series uh called we're we're starting from the top Hallelujah we kind of dove in in the middle or somewhere around the middle and with the customs of our fathers and I've just kind of taken a step back to meditate to pray to study some more Hallelujah to really be able to put my arms around this subject matter because it's so it's so large Hallelujah most of what we're accustomed to when it comes to our order of service the way we worship the most side the way we understand the most high a lot of it mirrors um much of what we learned in Christianity and some of what we uh look at in the text some some of it we don't understand and then we're also apprehensive to take on what is considered quote unquote uh eurocentric um style of of living because we understand that we are not European from an indigenous standpoint and while we respect those who adhere to European jewelry Hallelujah we are not of European stocks so we must understand the text within the framework of our cultural Paradigm and be able to carry out some of those Customs but we see some things in the text that we're not familiar with and we see it repeatedly so we want to understand what are the customs of our fathers how did we our fathers really worship the most high what did the Shabbat service look like in the first century when mashiach went to the synagogue as it said his custom was how did the the apostles quantify um their Customs so we're going to look at a few things today Hallelujah so we want to start off we want to start off with the the Shema because according to our ancestors it was a part of Shabbat Fellowship to start off with the Shema so I'm going to share my screen here and I'm going to ask the congregation uh everyone who can to recite this Shema hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah all right let's get it up on the screen Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah all right so it commandment of them all guess what he cited this Shema Hallelujah and unbeknownst to us for um decades and centuries uh we didn't know where he was getting this stuff from or we didn't know the relevance of this chairman then he said the second is like onto it we should love our neighbors as ourselves so it was a part of uh the customs of our ancestors to recite the Shema daily hallelujah anything you want to share if you have any words of exhortation yes or any words of encouragement Hallelujah yes I have a short uh let me share my screen real quick okay let's see so um we know each week we try to bring you a little message of exhortation to encourage the Michigan and one of the things um we may or may not known when we speak about exhortation is what it really is um and according to the definition it's an address or communication emphatically urging someone to do something and if you notice each week each Shabbat when Mario ladelli brings an exhortation that's exactly what he's doing giving us some kind of instruction uh uh uh concerning whatever it may be prayer uh fasting what have you urging us to do something So today we're going to talk about the armor of yahuwah and it says in Ephesians 6 and 11. wherefore take unto you the whole armor of yahuwah that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day having done all to stand now this passage known as the spiritual warfare text includes Ephesians 6 13. some believe that spiritual warfare involves going on the offensive against demonic powers and that as such they must employ the armor of yah to defend themselves from demonic assault now let me start with this and a lot of the men who watch football enjoy football whether sort of college level professional level they've heard it said by different coaches that defense wins games because if you can stop an opposing team from scoring you don't have to score as much to win as long as you continue to stop that opposing team and defend your ground you can win so it is with having done all to stand have uh uh in in response to this particular scripture others assume that the phrase having done all to stand refers to man's ability and competence to combat evil without reducing the seriousness of the demand consults and satanic Temptations we encounter every day so upon closer examination of this entire passage we're going to get a clearer understanding of its intended meaning its true intended meaning number one it says that we are commanded to put on the whole armor of yah so in its original Greek version the word take unto you is written as a command this is The Logical conclusion to be drawn from verses 10 to 12. we must put on the complete armor of yahuwah because we are constantly under attack from hasitants Supernatural forces the full armor of God that we must put on is clearly laid out in verses 14 through 17 and I know many of us are familiar with those scriptures as far as the helmet of salvation so forth and so on scripture also depicts this armor as more of a defensive we got to remember this a defensive defense against the attacks of the enemy the Bible does not really encourage us to engage in combat with demons or the evil spirits or the Prince of Darkness it doesn't encourage us to do that and one of the things you'll find out is although we have been given this power and authority it is to rebuke and renounce we're not supposed to go out there and just Engage The Enemy uh we don't have that kind of power to just entice or or provoke a fight and so that is why this particular scripture encourages us to be on the defensive side and it says the application so the Bible does not really encourage us to engage in combat with demons only the proclamation of the Gospel in verse 15 the application of God's word in verse 17 and the persistent prayer are to be the only points of active action we ought to take some Believers or some Ministries intentionally seek out demon encounters subjecting themselves to demonic activity and they base their entire Ministry on this paragraph Ephesians 6 13 however does not encourage us to force to combat the hasitan in his forces the text does not exhort us to seek out direct Supernatural battles it does however Aid in our preparation for other worldly assaults it means to live up to our to your convictions or our convictions to take unto you the entire armor of yah to ensure that every important element of our faith truth righteousness gospel faith salvation and yah's word is clearly visible in our day-to-day actions as seen in verses 14 and 17. each piece of this armor is essential for providing us with the daily defense I say that again defense we need against the enemy's tactics together with prayer that's so important to stay connected to yahuwah in prayer if we are to win number two I'm sorry the spiritual we are given strength to resist in times of evil the spiritual outcome of putting on all of yah's armor is the sentence that you may be able to withstand in the dark day now we are aware that each piece of God's armor plays a significant role in protecting us from demonic assaults and temptations so what does withstand imply to us today we better understand the word withstand in the modern uses as to resist or to stand our ground once again we're on the defense and this is the passage the passages unmistakable point we have the necessary defense provided by yah's complete armor which enables us to withstand any satanic attack assault or Temptation it helps us stay focused on the ministry that yah has given us it Shields us from getting distracted by such mystical and spiritual conflicts in the past armored soldiers used their Shields to defend themselves and to seize chances to retaliate yacht's protective armor serves as our defense against hasatan so that we can concentrate on the objectives he sets for us so what does the phrase be able to withstand truly imply it does not imply that we possess the power or ability to withstand and protect ourselves verse 10 makes it clear that y'all provide the courage and Power we can withstand and Prevail in times of spiritual conflict thanks to his power and the foundations of our faith which he provides the fact that we must never forget otherwise am I uh I'm sorry I was trying to move something out of my way okay let me go ahead armor serves as our defense our Shield against hasatan so that we can concentrate on the objections objectives he sets forth so what does the phrase be able to withstand imply it does not imply that we possess the power ability to withstand and protect ourselves verse 10 makes it clear that yah provides the courage and power we can withstand and Prevail in times of spiritual conflict thanks to his power and the foundations of our faith this is a fact we must never ever forget otherwise we risk being tricked into believing that we are fighting the enemy within our own strength and we know we can't win that way we can cause us which can cause us to be arrogant alternately we can lose heart and give up in the face of adversity how many times have we done that whenever we Face daily battles and trials we try in our own strength because we forget this is spiritual warfare not physical Warfare we must never forget that we are the we are only able to complete tithes bearing in mind his strength as told in Philippians 4 and 13. we can do it because of his strength in fact number three we are encouraged to do everything to stand it is all through y'all's strengthening and provision that we can stand our ground against evil but this does not mean that we are missed Spectators in this spiritual warfare the phrase having done all to stand is a clear indication of personal responsibility having done all means to prepare everything necessary it talks about our responsibility to make sure that we put on the full armor of yah our responsibility is to make sure the Essential Elements of our faith which make up yah's armor for us are constantly nurtured in practice daily constantly nurtured in practice in our lives throughout the strengthening y'all continues to provide now here are a few scriptures we're going to go over that talk about recognizing spiritual warfare and resisting spiritual warfare Satan's strategy is to destroy through intimidation and isolation but on the contrary yahuwah's purpose is to deploy through suffering and Proclamation you find that in First Peter 5 and 8. yah is the source of all good Hassan is the author of evil we find that in James chapter 1 verses 13. this battle is real we find this in Galatians 5 and 17. in the scriptures we find for resisting spiritual warfare are these yah will always give us the power to resist the schemes of the enemy if we choose First Corinthians 10 and 13. ignorance of his tactics is lethal we find that in second Corinthians 10 and 4. we fight from Victory not for victory and by that I mean we fight from hasatan getting the victory not for victory because remember we're we're on the defense not the offense we find out in first John 4 and 4. there are two competing agendas for every person on the planet Yaz plan for his life in Hassan's plan for his death As Told in John chapter 10 verses 10. so in conclusion remember spiritual warfare is real a lot of times we lose sight of that fact and we try to fight in our own strength the key to victory over our spiritual struggles is to put on the whole armor of yah we must cultivate a life strongly found it on the essential truths and the elements of our faith we must I say again defensively resist the enemy's attacks through y'all's strength and protection and we must go on the offense by furthering the gospel speaking God's words and praying in every situation Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah I told her about moray for bringing that out to the mishpika listen we always have to be in guard we always have to be in Garden if you're not trained if you're not spiritually equipped if you've not been in a state of mind where you are ready to take on the attack and to resistance I'm just here to tell you he will overtake you he will overpower you but if we're ready and we have the armor on that is to help us defend ourselves against the enemy and put up the best fight possible knowing that we're not by ourselves Hallelujah we have an Elohim who will step in and fight with us and fight for us because he knows our weaknesses and when we get to the place where we can no longer uh you know Express the the fight that's in us he will step in and put Satan in his place put hasatan in his place and all his demons and all uh the attacks that he launched against us hallelujah so we give your praise lives in general the the Shabbat is just a microcosm of where we're going um with understanding the customs of War fathers some call it the ancient path so this song um it's mostly it's all in Hebrew but we have the English and again just look at the words meditate on the words and I pray that as you hear the words and we read the scriptures I hope that we're at this point we're able to um obtain a text that has both Hebrew and English because I'm telling you the Hebrew words have a much much deeper richer meaning than just a regular English word and I'm going to share some of that with you family members we've lost friends it can be challenging Hallelujah but ABBA is able to bring healing there are people among us who were dealing with the loss of loved ones Hallelujah we pray that ABBA bring healing their people among us were sick in their bodies dealing with all manner of sickness and ailment we know that it is by the power of yahuwah that we are healed so we call upon that great name say oh yahuwah Heal Me yahuwah Rafa Hallelujah all right moriola daily over to you to share with just words of exhortation Hallelujah Hallelujah you're right can you see the screen mm-hmm yes we can see this all right nope just bear with me hmm all right I'll work it like this all right so um our place is to Abaya uh um all glory and praise of the father cry out for help and Justice the outcries of yahshua as these as the days goes by um things are getting darker and we need all the help from the father and this kind of uh ties into what Mori Eric was talking about their whole armor of yahuwah we definitely would need the father to help us and to bring us through the challenges that we are facing right now and the challenges that are yet to come and yes this is an exhortation I have 18 slides I'm probably gonna do half of it um but we need help and the reason why I'm saying that we really need the help the father has has been exposing me to um some of this the spiritual warfare and some of the Dynamics of what has been constructed against Yehuda and yahshua and for some of us we haven't even touched the surface of what some of us is going to have to deal with and face as the days and the nights go forward and this is the time it it it it goes back to the need and the necessity as part of the priesthood of yahuwah for us to engage the father like never before the spiritual infrastructure of Darkness that has been set up against us is very complex very manipulative have so many things to deal with yes we have the Council of yahuwah to help us but individually the things that we are expected to do with the authority and power that he has given us and sadly as some of some of us haven't even used an authority not even once as yet we're set we haven't even engaged the enemy even if it's just as undefensive the enemy is running true the lies of yahudah and yahshua it seems as though at Free Will in the sense that most people don't recognize his activities and the systems that he used is against uh against us and one of the ways you can break into minimizing and and essentially eradicating this wickedness from our lives you have to engage the father to receive spiritual intelligence and guidance sitting down and listening to a good sermon it's good but there's two percent of the work that you have to do reading the scriptures on a daily basis is foundational it's part of your foundation but it's still a very small percentage of what you're expected to do as a priesthood I'll be still missing this stuff too much people are missing it this is why yeah isn't so much bondage people are crying out for help they're crying out on most of them don't even know they're crying out they would usually attribute uh the circumstances are conditioned they might be dealing with as a natural uh uh thought language in you know within the physical life and the choices in this system that they have made as a result of these choices but there's a whole infrastructure of wickedness that causes backwardness that causes setbacks that that misappropriate and misdirect your blessings uh there's a whole system that is designed to put you in debt and and to throw you off course and uh bleed your heart out so you wouldn't hear from the father there's a whole system set up just to do this and it seems as though the system is operating with some amount of huge impunity in other words because of the ignorance that we possesses of people you how how can we fight the enemy if we don't understand the enemy how can we uh Engage The Enemy if we have no clue how the enemy operates we could read the text a million times over but do you actually have an idea how the enemy operates and when I say enemy I'm talking about the system a lot of times when people speak about um the kingdom of darkness they talk about the devil I think in many instances they tend to see one person or the personality or the representation of the devil well what a lot of people filtering fail to recognize this is a system with probably Millions of Minions that has been uh placed in a position and the place to oppose us this is not just one entity this is this is a system and there are many and they come in all forms and all shapes there are masters of manipulations yes I know the scripture says that those who are for us are greater than those that are against us but do you as an individual recognize the multitude of how many of these demonic spirits as we would call demons it's a lot of them it's a lot huge populations I have no idea what the numbers are but it's a lot of them and sometimes when they show up they show up in groves numbers everywhere that you go you walk you talk they're deer breathing in your face and some of us still at this particular point in time still refuse to engage Aba yahuwah let us let him take us through the the uh uh to the passages of how these things operate they are pressing your hood and yahshua because we're the biggest threat the rise of the priesthood the rise of the royal priesthood is the demise of the satanic priesthood they understand that it seems as though you don't understand that and when I say you are mean Yehuda and yahshua and the enemy how he operates is that if something doesn't work work now he's gonna study you and he's going to come again the question is what what are you really doing what are you doing what are you doing to impact change that would cause you to be in a strong position to resist the devil um the word says that we are more than conquerors yeah we are more than conquerors through yahusha hamashiach who has given us our power authority over the enemy this thing is really serious brothers and sisters the way you look at the situation with these nations and how they operate the other nations the text tells us they are also part of the system of wickedness no matter how they dress talk and speak at the end of the night they go to that altar that they serve and some of them you work with them you eat from them has the ability to recognize the light in you and all he needs to do is speak to one of his minions to do stuff at least attempt it we get up every day and we just think oh get my job do this and come home there's a system of doctors that is watching every step you you you take and we're not engaged in the fight enough may not we are not we are not engaging Abby enough yahuwah has a Vengeance that he has put aside for the systems of this world the wickedness we have to engage our be in such a way that is going to cause him to raise his hand against the enemy not just pushback but you got to seek the father in such a way that you're looking for complete Annihilation and destruction of our enemies both physical and spiritual and if we understand the Dynamics if you remove the if you remove the physical it hinders the manifestation of the spiritual because it is the physical that gives acetone access to you by creating the altars by making the Covenants don't trust nobody the serving another guy don't trust him take he to what I'm saying don't trust them don't trust them and if the father gotta judge them if their names are not written in the Book of Life they got to go I understand the word says that um it is not his desire that anyone should perish but there's some people who are completely sold out to hasatan and there's nothing that's going to change that and our prayers got to be so radical that they the father must deal with them and bring judgment on them I know that there is a soft spot in a lot of us when it comes to praying certain types of prayers but if you know what I know priests and Priestess of of of of the kingdom of darkness is not in the business of switching sides unless they get a direct intervention which is what bother the heck out of you until they get what they want our ancestors what caught Folks up in pieces when you mess with the kingdom of yahuwah but Israel and as why are some of us going to have to adapt some of that mentality when it comes to our prayers you gotta get radical because if if you understand this theoretical against you it's just the grace of your hood that is keeping us and protecting us but in the minute that's the hedger protection is broken to a point and they could come in the the interior they would tear you apart and now is the time that uh the royal priesthood is rising they hate it they hate it we gotta put these things before the father in the courts in prayers and the authority that the father has given to us to destroy these things destroy them at everything that you got you gotta hate them you have to despise them and I'm not speaking necessarily about the people I'm talking about the invisible ones that some of us can see absolute hate towards them in the sense because of the righteousness of the word of yahuwah that's the kind of hit I'm speaking about because we love the Father the father hear those things therefore I hate it too he hates idolatry he hates witchcraft witchcraft he hits the the practice of witchcraft and the likes thereof then I hate it and it must be absolute no room no tolerance of this wickedness I tell you they hate you if yeah I'll give you some of the discernment should be these things they hate you with a fire with a Vengeance they hate you and this is why we got to put ourselves in a position that when the father is going to swing the hammer he must get the best spot to swing it these things belong belong under our feet that's where they belong in the church in the courtrooms of yahuwah for judgment bind hands and feet put on Jagged rocks completely you don't mess with a royal priesthood oh yahuwah or yahuwah to whom Vengeance belong it o Elohim to whom Vengeance belong and show thyself lift up thyself thou judge of the earth render how we water to the proud yahuwah how long shall the wicked how long shall the wicked Triumph how long shall they alter and speak heart things and all the workers of iniquity boast of themselves they do this every day they break in pieces like people or yahuwah and afflict their Heritage they are doing this every day and every night we gotta get tired of this stuff they are supporting our causes they are gathering against us they are manipulating the heck out of many of us they destroyed us are you going to rise to the situation under position that ABA yahuwah can use you um this little weirdo and the stranger are martyr the fatherless yet they say yahuwah shall not see this neither shall Elohim neither shall the Elohim of Jacob regard it understand he brutish among the people and he fools when when will he be wise he that planted the ear shall he not hear he that formed the eye shall not he shall he not see he that chastises the heed and shall not he curve shall he correct he that teacheth man knowledge shall he not know yahuwah knowed the thoughts of men that they are vanity blessed is a man blessed is the man whom thou chasten it or yahuwah and teaches him out of the law that thou might just give him rest from the days of adversity until the pit be dig for the wicked but yahuwah will not cast the cast of his people neither will he forsake his inheritance but judgment shall return unto the righteous and all upright and heart shall follow it who will rise up for me against the evildoers who will rise up for me against the evildoers who will rise up for me again so evildoers or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity unless yahuwah had been my help my soul had almost dwelt in silence when I said my foot slip it thy mercy or yahuwah helped me is the mercy of yahuwah these things may I tell you it's it's really bad it's really bad in the multitude of thy thoughts Within Me thy Comforts Delight my soul shall the Throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee which famous Miser by the law I said this many times before the kingdom of darkness are many we have to understand that what we are up against there are many there are probably millions of them it's not just hasatan if you see what's flying around in the ear you probably would not come out your house I'm just keeping it real if if y'all open your eyes and let you see what's on the streets you probably wouldn't come out your house and this is the time this is the season that we need to engage the kingdom of yahuwah so that he can clothe you and prep you and train you and and and give you the the the the intelligence that we need right now in this season to transition from this season to the next season they guarded themselves together against the soul of the righteous and condemned the innocent blood but yahuwah is my defense he is your defense and my Elohim is a rock of my refuge and he shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off cut all of them off all of them all of them we are servant Priests of the Royal House of yahudah when it comes to this kind of stuff we we have to possess no tolerance for it I'm not speaking about the average person who is um who is in sin and you know I'm talking with people that deal with this stuff and the things that they deal with you pray for them but if they don't change you put the prayers before the father if they're not written in the book of life and I'm saying I'm sounding radical because I've I've dealt with these personalities they are wicked if you ask Albert yahuwah to destroy an altar that is projecting evil against you and you've been doing it for a long time and they and the system of wickedness is still coming against you you take it to court and ask for a judgment this is how our ancestors operate no our ancestors were more radical our ancestors would would deal with them with a sword yes we have Grace we have mercy we have long suffering but when it comes to some of the spiritual dynamics of dealing with these things we have to come from the mindset that we don't have room for this and this is why when you pray if you are asking the father to destroy an altar or destroy the situation you can pray in such a way where you ask if I hear if this person is redeemable then so be it right but regardless destroy the infrastructure that they're using to oppress Yehuda and Yasha real destroy it all and yeah if they are not written in the Book of Life Abba bring forth your judgment on them because these are the people that is opening up the gates and created the altars that is bringing in the demonic spirits and the principalities to kill you and to oppress you and I want you to understand what I'm saying it is not the desire that Yahoo has desired that anyone should perish I understand all of that but our prayers has to be in such a way it must be so sharp and poignant that when we pray to the Father the father must understand that we are carrying the same heart that he has in terms of not tolerating wickedness and some people we know I wouldn't say we know yahuwah knows if they're if they're marked if they're not in the book of life if they're not there dick did we got so much work to do we have so much work to do I have so much work to do I kind of only um bring some of this stuff to you because the water Forest is teaching me and that's not everything that's probably ten percent some things it's it's so horrible I wouldn't even speak about it we are in a fight for our souls our Bloodlines and our lives and if we don't Engage The Kingdom of yahuwah and his righteousness we a lot of us are going to be easy pickings this fight is real the priesthood of hasatan is real and you'll rise in now as a royal priesthood of yahuwah they hated they already hate you but now you're Rising as a nation they hate it the question is what are you going to do about it listen I'm not going to go farther than this um we gotta get this right pray for Yehuda and yasharelle pray for those who are Of The Bloodline that are in the practice of of wickedness and Witchcraft and Obi and all the nastiness pray for them we have to pray for them but in some situations might come to a point you might just have to go before the file and ask her for some kind of a judgment because some people are just sold out to househutan I mean like completely sold out and because of these wickedness the whole entire household and Bloodlines are completely sold out some things if we don't raise it before the father I recognize he's not going to do it he said that I've given you all power and authority a lot of us are Judges seen everything that we do we must make sure that we are consistent with the word of yahuwah when we are praying for judgment so make sure that your life is in order there everywhere brothers and sisters they're everywhere and the only way you can buffer that you have to get in with the father and he's going to teach you and we have a lot of power and authority it would scare you if you know what you're capable of but if you don't engage engage the kingdom of yahuwah you wouldn't know I make sure you practice obedience when you when when you're invited so that's going to be the exhortation for today I trust that everybody understand what I'm saying or what I'm trying to say uh it is not a it's not uh who was desired that anyone should perish but there are times when you look at the way how the kingdom of darkness is operating against us the spiritual infrastructure that has been set up against us the wickedness in high low and watered places they are here to destroy us and not only that they have been killing us they have been manipulating us they've been lame in us men in US they've been doing all these things all these things and they're still doing these things this is where you're up against and we got to come off of this you know uh uh gallivantarin mentality you know being blasia but some of the things that we do we got to take this stuff serious extremely serious because they are Relentless Spirits do not move because you you know something you got to be practicing your priesthood and the only way they move is by force and judgment Hallelujah let me stop with that that's the exhortation for today hallelujah hallelujah I'm telling you this one had me on the edge of my seat Hallelujah very deep very deep um something that we must be well aware of Mr Speaker let me just share something with you when we think about Modern Warfare at the military just do not let their guard down when they're in foreign territory and know that they can be attacked by enemies the truth is this world this Earth is not our home we're just simply pilgrims passing through and if we don't protect ourselves we will be susceptible to the attacks of hasatan even while we are quote unquote here in the United States or in different countries and we feel like well we're not in foreign lands as far as I'm going over the foreign country to engage in the war many of you were aware that the U.S military assisted or um provided some type of Aid to the the Ukraine um to fight against um the Russians don't want to spend too too much time talking about that but the idea I'm trying to convey to you is that one of the mindset of the military is to protect themselves while there are while they are at home and abroad so they always have this defensive mindset and we have to ask ourselves as the children of Israel do we have this mindset even though you're in your homes in the comfort of your own homes have you let your guard down to the place where you just don't think how Satan can come in and launch an attack through your family members to the people who you call your friends Hallelujah through things that we watch so things that we hear hasatan can use those things to enter into your homes into your heart into your mind we don't have to be out there on on the workforce or um you know shopping or visiting family or friends or being a different part of the country uh to be subject to hasitan's attack he can attack you right where you are but if you don't have your guard up Hallelujah there are some people who have a license let me clarify have a license to carry a firearm and they'll tell you I stay packing why because at any moment something can happen where I need to be armed hallelujah it's the same thing in the spirit realm we must always be armed and ready if the out some information uh this time around we want to make it a little bit more interactive so what I'll be doing today is more so uh a reintroduction if I can say that a reintroduction of customs of our fathers Hallelujah we had started somewhere in the middle and then as I prayed and as I studied I said we need to go back to the beginning Hallelujah so that's what we're attempting to do here so I'm going to share my screen and just um spend a few minutes talking with you I'm going to ask you to open your mics up Hallelujah and if you're on face on YouTube you can also drop something in the chat if I ask a question but this is more so an interactive session Hallelujah so let me share my screen here hallelujah all right all right all right all right Hallelujah customs of our fathers so Maureen vanaki I'm going to ask you to read these two passages for me because this is really where we see in the burrit hadasha where the apostles are still talking about the customs of their ancestors right and the reason why this is important it's because as as awakened Hebrews we let me just stop sharing here for a moment and just kind of talk with you a bit as awake in Hebrews we're caught between ah the a rock and a hard place and again we're just having transparent conversation on the Shabbat we're caught between a rock and a hot place we don't want to go back to Christianity where we came from to include some of the practices based on what we understand we say oh that's Christian we I just want to leave that behind but then we don't want to go to quote unquote Jewish Customs because that's more European so we we're kind of in a limbo how do we really serve the most high from a cultural standpoint yeah some Hebrews who will advocate for fringes right all around their borders but when it comes to Zeke they say oh no that's Jewish so there is a prevailing mindset among our people that there's some things that we're apprehensive to adopt because we think it's Jewish and then there's some things that we want to move away from because we think it's Christian so what we want to do is kind of understand when we see these terminologies within the text what do they really mean come on moravanake let's get to reading here hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah all right x x 21 verses 22 24 and it says and when they heard it they glorified yahuwah and said unto him thou seeest brother how many thousands of yahooding there are which believe and they are all zealous of the law and they are informed of thee that thou teaches all the Yahoo Dem which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moshe saying oh right there hold it right there hold it right there so here it is being questioned because it has been reported that he's teaching Hebrews to forsake what Moses taught but before that it said the Apostle who is speaking says see how many Hebrews who believe believe in what believe that Yahoo is the owner brought forth son of yahuwah and there are zealous after Torah meaning they haven't abandoned the law they haven't said now we saved by grace we ain't gonna do that law thing anymore we ain't got to keep no Commandments because Jesus died on the cross and I ain't got to keep no law I can do what I want to do go ahead and read all morning Shalom Hallelujah telling them not to circumcise their children or walk according to our customs what then is to be done they will certainly hear that you have come do therefore what we tell you we have four men who are under a vow take these men and purify yourselves along with them and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads thus all will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you but that you yourselves also live in observance of the law all right chapter 28 and verses 17. after three days he called together the local leaders of the Yahoo Deen and when they had gathered he said to them brothers though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans all right told her about moray so we see in these two passages the word Customs be mentioned customs of our fathers but before we even Dive In let me ask you all a question you can open up your mics and answer or if you're out there on YouTube just just drop a yes or a no based on this question I'm gonna ask you in Acts 21 towards the latter part of that verse Maury read verse 24. foreign go do these things to prove that you yourself keep the law Paul didn't fight he didn't argue that well um you see uh brother Peter and brother James you know I ain't under the law he humbled himself and followed through why because it was a demonstration that he is not teaching against the law so when we jump over into Colossians and Corinthians and Romans and Galatians and we see all this writing where it us it seems as if Paul is teaching that we're no longer under the law you ain't got to keep no law why would Paul go along with what the apostles taught and then in in 28 declare that I'm not teaching against the law or the customs of our fathers just to jump over and write some more letters and say you know really you see what see I what I said over there that's not what I really meant what I really meant was you ain't got to keep no law why would someone who keep the law write to people and tell them not to keep the law if that makes sense to you put a yes in the chat if that don't make no sense you put a nose and Mori that don't make no sense to me or if that makes sense yeah that makes sense he gonna keep it but he gonna tell other people not to keep it I want to hear back from you Mr Speaker I want to dialogue let's talk Hallelujah those of you here in the zoom you can open up your mics let me hear your thoughts does it make sense for Paul to keep the law in the book of Acts by following what the apostles taught or instructed him to do in Acts 28 17 he says I've not offended in the customs of our fathers nor the law he says I have not broken the law but then he's going to teach some other people say it's okay for you to break the law does that make sense to y'all talk to me because I want to know you know where we are does that make sense let me look at the chat here hallelujah it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense Hallelujah let's see what the mishpaka here is saying makes no sense so we have a problem either we have someone claiming that they're writing as Paul or we may have misunderstood what Paul was writing about where he alludes to not being under the law that's a whole different message for a different time but let's dive into the customs of our fathers because here we see this terminology but what does it mean so what is the objective of this whole thing you may ask Maury why are we even talking about this on the Shabbat the customs of our fathers because we're caught between two opinions we've come to realize that we have been observing and worshiping the most high according to other people's custom Gentile Customs Hallelujah and not the customs of our ancestors so now we awaken we want to abandon Gentile customs and go back to the Customs for for our fathers why because we see it in the text Mori go back for me and let's read acts 28 and 17. let's see how Paul quantifies how he worshiped how he qualifies how he worshiped come on let's read it again after three days he called together the local leaders of the yahuddin and when they had gathered he said to them Brethren though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans Paul said I have not done nothing wrong I haven't broken Torah but y'all deliver me up so let's look at what custom really means our objective throughout the series is to better understand the the customs of our fathers I don't know I have customers here spell check probably got me there Hallelujah the customs of Our Fathers as mentioned in the text in terms of culture and worship so questions to answer these are some of the questions we need to answer what are the customs of our fathers where did they come from and should we follow them today so we're going to look at some terminologies that we need to understand from a language variation standpoint and the reason why I'm going this route is because within the framework of language Hallelujah we see that there's some things that we have to address why because we are living in time that is different from the time that our ancestors live in I'm talking about first century here talking about Paul then James John okay far hamashiach so again we're striving to answer the question what are the customs of our fathers where did they come from should we follow them because we see Paul saying that he's still following the customs let's dig in a little bit deeper all right so we must tackle an issue because we're going to come across terms that in our modern contemporary English becomes problematic from a cultural standpoint I'm going to say that again we're going to come across some terms that based on our modern contemporary English it's problematic for us from a cultural standpoint all right I said it so when I get to it just remember I prefaced the rest of these this presentation based on the fact that we're dealing with an English language we're operating within the framework of an English language as our modern contemporary as a modern contemporary language we're still trying to go back and learn Hebrew a lot of us don't eat don't know Hebrew I told someone earlier today and shame on me Hallelujah if you wrote my name in Hebrew I would not be able to read it foreign I'm looking to change that Hallelujah all right so let's look at the difference or understanding translation versus transliteration this is very very important because we're going to use some words that some people are going to find offensive from a cultural standpoint because they're going to say oh it's not representing our people but I'm going to show you where it's representing our people you just got to make that shift in your mind all right let's go our translation tells you the meaning of of words in another language a translation tells you the meaning of words in another language a transliteration doesn't tell you the meaning of the words but it helps you to pronounce them transliteration changes the letters from one alphabet or language into the corresponding similar sounding characters of another alphabet that's a lot to digest so let's look at an example if you just look at this Hebrew word here again I know that this is yod this is him that's just by me looking at the father's name the rest of this I'm going to pull up my Hebrew dictionary to look at each word to tell you what all this is hallelujah some of you are more astute they say oh yeah more that that that's that that's lamid that's a Yoda hey dalit hey Hallelujah Toda Robert Mori kudos to you Hallelujah but we look at this but looking at it we don't know what it is so what um translation does it gives us the meaning so this Hebrew word it's actually Yehuda but what does Yehuda mean Thanksgiving or praise so what translation does doesn't necessarily give you the Annunciation it gives you the meaning so when you see this word it means Thanksgiving or praise so let's go back translation tells you the meaning of words in other languages so in the Hebrew it means pray for Thanksgiving that's the English equivalent the Hebrew word for Praises yada now when we're looking at transliteration the transliteration doesn't give you the meaning but it tells you an equivalent pronunciation based on the language we are speaking so let's go back transliteration doesn't tell you the meaning of the word but it helps you to pronounce them translation transliteration changes the letters from one alphabet or language into the corresponding similar sounding characters of another alphabet so let's look at this example the English translation for the Hebrew word Yehuda is Judah doesn't tell you what Judah means it just tells Judah praise or Thanksgiving somehow this word Judah became synonymous with the term race and ethnicity so when you hear people say um yahudi you think it's a certain race but the Hebrew word it's for Thanksgiving or praise and where does the word what does Yehuda where does that come from it was the name of a child why because the mother when the mother had the child the mother was thinking about praise or the mother was thankful so they named the child Yehuda Judah does that make sense let me stop here and get a consensus does that make sense to everyone you can put a yes you can put a con in the chat or a can I just want to hear back from everyone how are we looking so far does this make sense Hallelujah let me check let me check and see how we're looking here on the tube Hallelujah waiting for everybody took to catch up let me make sure that we refreshed here hallelujah Hallelujah let's make sure everyone is okay Khan all right all right we we we got something here we got something here hallelujah all right so let's go back and look at the example that we were sharing Hallelujah can everyone see that so again we have the Hebrew word and then we have the translation and the transliteration all right let's let's go let's go let's go Hallelujah all right now there's some there's some challenges with transliteration that we must discuss why because we want to practice academic honesty and we don't want to mislead anyone transliteration isn't always an exact science as words can be transliterated more than one way and as you are beginning to look at the Hebrew language you can see the transliteration where for example the word kodesh can either be spelled k-o-d-e-s-h or it can start with a Q how many have seen that we see Israel it can be spelled with a y or spell with a y foreign because we're dealing with a different language we're transliterating there are two types of challenges facing um translation of names first the name of people and place are transliterated into the target language with different spellings and pronunciations then we have translation challenges this is where it gets very interesting according to grammatical rules that apply to the English language and some other languages proper names do not get translated let me repeat that proper names do not get translated the basic rule concerning personal names is that they are left untranslated who in case where there is no fixed rule the name translator now we're talking about the name trans and the person who's Translating the Name I repeat the person who's Translating the Name when you look at your English Bible we're looking at translations and someone had to do that translation from Hebrew from Greek into English so we are relying on a translator Maury what can the translator do hold on let me tell you the translator can substitute one name for another without their needing to be any relationship between the two that's why when we look at the Old Testament we see Jacob for yaakov but when we get over to the New Testament we see the name James for the same Hebrew name yaakov blame the translator can I tell y'all another one in the tonight we see the name that would have been used for for hamashiach in the in the modern contemporary Hebrew as jehoshua we use yahusha which is um the the Paleo Hebrew variation but the the modern uh um Hebrew variation would be yehoshua that's Joshua's name in the Old Testament but by the time we get over to New Testament we get a whole different name we get Jesus but the same root from the Hebrew is the name yehoshua why the translator made a decision that I'm going to change it why because in cases where there is no fixed rule the name translator can substitute one name for another without there needing to be any relationship between the two you would never connect the dots to know that Yakov which is translated Jacob and but they trans transliterated as James that's the same person you bet what's your name and is it Jacob or is it James hahaha these translators did a number on us with their transliteration trickery do you hear what I'm saying mishpika they did a number on us with their translation trickery when translating a book given the characters names that may or may not be variations of the original names is always an option so we are left up to the mercy of these so-called translators to give us the correct names of people play and places in the text and a lot of them they have jacked it up and messed it up Hallelujah if that makes sense to you put a yes in the chat you can be honest if don't make sense you can just say no more you know I that don't make no sense these translators have messed things up can you imagine yaakov having one group calling him Jacob and then go somewhere else and they said James James who was James Hallelujah all right Mr Speaker let's keep it moving here uh let's look at the time here all right all right I'm almost I'm gonna wrap it up here and we can again if you're in Orlando area come on through next week we gonna have this dialogue in person Hallelujah so let's look at acts 7 acts 28 17 and it came to pass Maury already read it but I highlighted the word custom there or the you know um that the nothing against the people or the customs of our fathers yet was delivered prisoner from yerushalayim into the hands of the Romans all right let's look at the Aramaic translation of the same text it translates the word custom as law of my fathers all right if we look at the word in the obj the Orthodox Jewish Bible it uses the word minhagi avitenu of Orthodox meaning Judaism all right so Mori what what what does it all that have to do let's look at that word in the Hebrew that Hebrew term that is used when we look at the Min Hagi avoteno what it is it's a phrase that invokes powerful feelings of loyalty to the Traditions adopted by our forbearers each of us observes Judaism through the prism of the Holocaust and Mig Jamin that we have inherited from our parents and grandparents or that we have adopted by becoming part of a particular community and right there I hear some people saying but we ain't Jewish we ain't practicing on Judaism we're going to break all of those words down because again we're working with an English language that is modern and contemporary that may not accurately represent our culture because according to our modern culture Judaism is purely eurocentric but the time when the texts were was written and we have these words Europeans weren't on the scene being a part of the nation of Israel as the dominant Force as of yet I'm gonna say that one more time at a time when these texts were written European jury wasn't on the scene yet I'm gonna say that one more time when this text was written European jewelry wasn't on the scene yet so we're gonna break down all these words and see where they came from but let's look at the text itself in Acts 28 and 17 we're going to look at the word custom and I highlight it here it's the Strong's word one four eight five FCC what does FEC mean in Greek again one four eight five let's look at it it means ethos or ethos ethos what does that mean custom a usage prescribed by habit or law a customer habit an Institute a right so let's look at a few other passages here to see how our ancestors and even our mashiach considered customs you all ready Mr Speaker this is my last slide and I'm going to close out Luke 1 9 says that according to the custom of the priesthood the what the customer the priesthood the priesthood had certain customs he was chosen by a lot to go into the Temple of yahuwah to burn incense this was talking about John the Baptist Daddy yahukunan they immerse his daddy but where did this custom come from we're gonna get into it there were Customs that govern how priests should rule how priests had a certain cycle it was a custom it was an ethos of the Hebrews Hebrews had their own Customs based on Torah let's look at Luke 2 42 and when he was 12 years old when they went up according to the custom of the feast so our feast days have certain customs if you endowed what to follow we're going to get into some of these customs the mashiach when he was 12 years old his parents took him to the feast in yerushalayim because that was the custom why three times a year all males should appear before the most high in the place where he said his name which is yerushalayim let's see what our mashiach did then yahusha went out and made his way as was his custom to the Mount of Olives and the disciples followed him let's look at what John 19 40 says so they took the body off yahusha and wrapped him in Stripes of linen or strips of linen with the spices in accordance to the what Jewish custom of burial don't trip over the word Jewish when the term was used here European Jews weren't on the scene yet so what Jewish Customs uh were they following when they brought mashiach body up last one here for we have heard him say that this yahusha of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the Customs that Moses handed down to us so now we're getting somewhere
