Correct Format for Writing a Formal Complaint Letter

Sender's Address
The address of the person writing the letter
Start from the left side
Example: House No. 2080, ABC Road, Okhla, Delhi, 110025
Do not write more than three lines in the address
First, house number, then area name, then city name and pin code
Date
Write the date after leaving one line
Example: 1st November 2021
The first letter of the month should be capitalized
Recipient's Position
Write the recipient's position after leaving one line
Example: Principal, DAV Senior School, Delhi
Subject
Write the subject after leaving one line
Short and clear subject
Example: Request for New Passbook
Salutation
Write the salutation after leaving one line
"Respected Sir/Madam"
Main Section
Introduction
Who you are and why you are writing the letter
Example: "With due respect, I am a student of class 10th."
Body
Why detailed information is needed
Example: "I have topped my class."
Conclusion
Conclude
Example: "I request you to grant me the scholarship."
Complimentary Closing
Giving thanks
Example: "Thanking you, Yours faithfully"
Name, class, and roll number below
