yeah so before applying your wax you want to take a note and do an analysis of which direction the hair is growing on the leg or in any area of the body not all hair sometimes grows in the same direction on all body parts many times yes you see people with their hair growing straight down but you also have people who grow hair sideways so it's important for you to recognize which way the hair is growing before applying the wax because you want to apply the wax in the same direction of the hair growth and you want to remove against the opposite direction of the hair growth okay so with your first application that you always want to wipe again remember it's a finger width above the knee half leg is knee down and you're going to a slide on a 45 degree angle a very thin application of wax you're going to cover the one quadrant of the side quadrant of one side of the lake when you move to the other side of the leg you want to do the same thing again it'll be on the inside so be one from the outside and one on the inside of the leg so it's on the same side of the leg not the same part of the leg and a very thin coat so remember it's a it's a you want to be able to grip the the strip okay a good grip thumb down okay not thumb up no no no it's grip thumb and fingers you want to have a good grip you want to place your strip and start from the lower leg and work your way up never ever start on the top of the leg start at the lower leg and you're going to use your palm you're going to use your pump to put pressure and that's a good hard pressure so that the wax adheres to the wax strip you're going to hold the skin taut underneath the strip where you're going to pull from which means hold the skin taut towards you tight towards you and pull and then smooth again you're gonna use your so you'll apply you rub or press you pull and you smooth when you are pulling up the leg when you're pulling the strip you want to keep make sure that you're pulling the strip horizontal or um bilateral with the leg you do not want to be pulling up you want to be pulling along the limb it has to be once you get the method of placing the strip rubbing holding pulling and smoothing you'll be able to gain speed okay any excess you just press and lift press and lift any excess wax that you see if you notice the hairs don't come out you're not pressing enough you're not putting enough pressure on your rubbing over the wax okay also if the wax is too thick it will stick too long and you will pull on skin and hair and bruise or rip the skin and it breaks the hair so you want to have a smooth and thin application of wax start again in the center you're holding it tight you're holding a grip you're placing the strip you're always gonna pull and hold where there isn't hair you're gonna pull you're gonna rub you're gonna hold the skin taut stretch pull and soothe strong stretch and soothe apply pull and soothe rub hold and soothe apply rub with the palm of your hand i don't want it none of this it's palm of your hand so you really adhere that wax to that strip and smooth and then any excess of any wax smooth over and there you go so once you've done the outside quadrant on the inside of one leg you're going to do the other side of the leg as well now you'll notice that the leg will be done on this side and the leg will be done on this side almost meeting at the center of the bone on the limb so this side will be done and this side will be done what part is not done it's the knee the middle the knee and the kneecap this point is where you're going to lift the knee and you're going to apply wax to the top right above the kneecap and bring it down over the kneecap you're going to do the bottom of the kneecap same application apply your strip you're going to really stretch what's really great about positioning the leg up so you're lifting the leg under the knee with your hands positioning the client's leg in a bend this already makes the skin taut around the knee but you still need to pull on the knee because there's still a lot of flesh and dry flesh around around the knee so you want to make sure that you're still holding it taut so as you do the bottom and then you do the top and your knee is done
