GTA 5 Next-Gen Graphics and Vegetation Mods

Introduction

  • Goal: Modify GTA 5 with next-gen graphic mods and popular vegetation mods to achieve high-end visuals.
  • Resources: Links to all mods are provided in the description.
  • Compatibility: Follow the order of installation as listed to ensure compatibility.

Essential Mods Installation

Script Hook

  1. Go to the bin folder within Script Hook.
  2. Copy dinput8.dll and scripthookv.dll to the main game directory.

Pack File Limit Adjuster

  1. Copy .asi and .ini files to the game folder.

Heap Adjuster

  1. Copy both files to the main game directory.
  2. Open heapadjuster.ini and set memory value:
    • Low-end PC: 2000
    • High-end PC: 10000
  3. Save and close the file.

Trainer

  • Optional: Install a trainer of your choice. Quant V includes a trainer-like menu.

Natural Vision Evolved Graphics Mod Installation

Part 1 & Part 2

  1. Launch OpenIV and start Edit Mode.
  2. Install plugins if prompted by OpenIV.
  3. Use OpenIV’s package installer or drag and drop .oiv files.

Optional Features

  1. Go to the Natural Vision's optional folder.
  2. Install:
    • Parallax Roads
    • Volumetric Headlights
    • White Street Lights

NB Visuals & GTA 5 Remake Mod

Preparing the Files

  1. Rename NBVisualInstaller.oiv to a .zip file.
  2. Extract with zip software (e.g., WinRAR).
  3. Open assembly.xml with a text viewer (e.g., Internet Explorer).
  4. Locate three DLC folders:
    • NBVisual (vegetation)
    • RemakeProps (new objects and trees)
    • RemakeMap (YMAP files)
  5. Match folder names from content folder with assembly.xml.

Installation

  1. Copy RemakeProps and RemakeMap to the dlcpacks folder.
  2. Add folder names to dlclist.xml.
  3. Create an empty folder and extract NBVisual.dlc files into it.
  4. Use OpenIV to open .rpf files and extract contents to the new folder.
  5. Merge extracted files into NVEVegetation.dlc's props.rpf.

Procedural Vegetation

  1. Rename NBVegetationProcedural.oiv to a zip file and extract.
  2. Open assembly.xml and locate vproc1 file.
  3. Extract files and merge with NVVegetation.dlc.

Remaining Mods

GTA 5 Remastered

  1. Install using OpenIV’s package installer.

Forests of San Andreas

  1. Install both North and South .oiv files.

CyanX Vegetation

  1. Go to LANature folder.
  2. Manually copy custom_maps folder to dlcpacks.
  3. Add folder name to dlclist.xml.

Realistic Forests of Blaine County

  1. Place .ymap files into CyanXCustomMaps.dlc.
  2. Install the YMAP files as the previous step.

Graphics Mod Quant V

  • Note: Skip if using Natural Vision
  1. Install Quant V’s main package and optionals.
  2. Install desired ENB from optional presets (e.g., Volumetric Clouds).
  3. Delete timecycle_mods.asi and .ini files from game directory.

Game Config Adjustment

  • Use a config that supports multiple mods (e.g., Dilapidated or RDE).
  • Recommended: FiveReal mod by AdNR Studio.

Config Tweaks

  1. Open config in OpenIV and edit it:
    • Building Value: Increase to ~66,000 for better texture handling. Avoid going above 72,000.
    • PHInstGTA: Set between 50,000-60,000 for better physics handling.
  2. Save and close the config.

Additional Enhancements

  • Real California Architecture: Adds real boards and signs.
  • City Lights: Adds more street lights in the countryside.

Final Setup

  1. Start the game.
  2. Press F5 to open Quant menu -> Go to Graphics tab -> Turn on Eye Candy.
  3. Press Shift + Enter to open ENB menu -> Enable FPS Limiter.
