Formatting in Excel: Enhancing Workbook Appearance

Purpose of Formatting

  • Improves readability
  • Enhances visual appeal

Formatting the Title

  • Selecting the Cell: Choose the cell containing the title "Fitness progress chart."
  • Font Size: Increase size using the Font group on the Home tab
    • Type the point size or use the drop-down list
    • Example: 24 pt
    • Quick size changes with Increase/Decrease commands
  • Font Selection: Change the font style through the drop-down list
    • Choose one that's readable and appealing
    • Example: Different but easy-to-read font
  • Font Color: Set via the font color command
    • Use theme colors or select 'More Colors'
