today's why guy question from David why are Vehicles allowed to violate noise laws with their enhanced Muffler systems [Music] that's way louder than the 95 decibels the law allows and louder than a jet plane over your house Californians love to take off the factory muffler or pipes and go with louder ones to get you to turn your head cops say they do write tickets but some violators find ways around it from CHP often we observe a mechanical violation an issue a Fix-It ticket violators will correct the deficiency then reinstall the equipment that got them the ticket in the first place [Music] many who put aftermarket pipes on do so feeling that cops have better things to do than chase them down which is understandable we don't want to forget our motorcycle friends a first offense for loud pipes is anywhere from 50 to 100 and if they catch you a second time it could be up to 250 bucks all right full disclosure okay I own couple of Harleys I got it I would put on the you know the aftermarket stuff so I'm part of the problem but fortunately I got through it so if you do have a y guy question reach me at my Facebook page Walt gray news and you can watch more why guy stories at abc10.com y guy
