บทเรียนกริยา TO BE อดีตกาล

Hello my friends and welcome to our English Learning Channel English Lime. I'm very happy to see you here in our lesson. So as you can see today I'm going to talk about the verb TO BE. Do you remember in the previous lesson I already explained to you the verb TO BE it was in Present Tense right but today I'm going to talk about the verb TO BE in the Past Tense. So it will be WAS/WERE. Let's start so in our previous lesson I explained to you the pronouns I He She It You We They If you forgot you can check our previous video okay so For the pronoun I it will be WAS so I WAS right for HE WAS / SHE WAS / IT WAS so you can see that for three pronouns we have the verb to be WAS and for singular and plural form of the pronoun YOU we have WERE the verb WERE ''You were.'' For the plural form WE and THEY also WERE. So you can unite them You / We / They were. You were. / We were. / They were. yeah you see that it's very very easy so this is the Positive Form of the verb TO BE in the PAST so let's talk about Negative Form of the verb TO BE so as you remember in the previous video I told if you want to make a Negative sentence you have to add the word NOT so what we have here ''I was'' / ''I was not.'' yeah you just add NOT after the verb so ''He was.'' / ''He was not.'' next the same system ''She was.'' / ''She was not.'' or you can use the short form ''She wasn't.'' right the same ''It wasn't.'' super easy the next form again let's do it with me ''You were.'' / ''You were not.'' next ''We were.'' / ''We were not.'' or short form ''We weren't.'' okay and the last one THEY ''They weren't.'' okay it's very easy then let's start to talk about Questions For Interrogative sentences we call them Questions we move the verb TO BE at the front of the sentence. Do you remember the first video so you have Positive sentence ''I was.'' / ''Was I?'' don't forget about the question mark next ''He was.'' / ''Was he?'' the same sistem ''Was she?'' ''Was it?'' okay and the same for these pronouns ''You were.'' / ''Were you?'' WERE jumps in front of the sentence next ''We were.'' / ''Were we?'' and ''They were.'' / ''Were they?'' as you can see it's super easy and let's make some sentences For example, ''I was a student.'' Question: ''Was I a student?'' ''He was happy.'' - ''Was he happy?'' ''You were busy.'' - ''Were you busy?'' So this is the basic form of making simple questions using the verb TO BE. So don't forget to make your own sentences and practice them every day. That is all for today. Thank you for watching our video. If you have any questions you can leave your comments in the comment section below and please subscribe to our Channel English Lime and I hope to see you next lesson. Bye!
