So before I teach out of Psalm 83, I want to have a discussion a little bit about these things related to current events in Israel and someone who is so well informed about all of these issues. She's become a good friend of mine and Terry's over the last couple of years. She served in the United States Congress from 2007 until 2015. She was the first Republican female to Congress from the state of Minnesota. And she served also on the Intelligence Committee when she was in Congress.
Today, she serves as the Dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University. Would you please welcome former Congresswoman Michelle Bachman. So it just so happened, I think providentially, of course, that...
Michelle was here in Washington DC. We were both at the Pray Boat Stand event down at the Omni Shore and so we connected real quickly. Otherwise this was really not planned for today but I think the Lord had it in mind Michelle because I know your heart for Israel. You have been such a faithful supporter of Israel just personally and obviously during your time in Congress and you and I were talking earlier about sadly not only is Hamas against Israel, Hezbollah, the Houthis, but The United Nations is not favorable towards Israel.
Talk a little bit about that and what the implication is for Israel. Yes, it's really shocking. There's 194 nations in the world that are part of the United Nations, and every year there's an annual meeting in New York City when all the nations come together, and the head of every nation, whether it's a king, prime minister, president, they all come and speak at the United Nations.
And this year... Imagine this, in the year that's following the October 7th attack, when there hasn't been one day where rockets haven't been fired at Israel. I was just looking on my phone, there were rocket attacks coming in as you were introducing me. So this is ongoing rocket attacks. And in the midst of all this, what's the first resolution that's introduced?
It was introduced by the Palestinians to say that every Jew... needs to leave their own land. They need to leave Judea, Samaria, Eastern Jerusalem, including the Western Wall, and Gaza.
And they need to leave within 12 months. And the other part of the resolution is that the nations need to stop giving weapons or supplying Israel with ammunition. In other words, completely annihilate them so that the nations surrounding them can destroy them. Their goal is to kill every Jew. So that was the first order of business at the United Nations.
Out of 194 nations, only 14 voted no on this resolution. It passed it overwhelmingly. Most of the nations were tiny little nations that voted no.
The United States voted no, which was good, but this is what you need to know. That was kind of a wink, wink, nod, nod vote because the United States is the big dog at the United Nations. We supply all the cash. If we didn't supply the cash to the UN, they wouldn't be able to turn the lights on and do the work that they do.
So if we were against this amendment, we could tell them, look, you put this resolution in, we're taking our marbles, we're going home. That didn't happen. We voted no.
So it's kind of like having it both ways. But then the other thing that happened this week or that week, in the third week of September this year, is that the United Nations, the first thing they did is they passed this resolution, which is a violation of the prophet, the book of Joel, chapter 3, verse 2, that says, In the last days the Lord will bring all nations to the valley of decision, and there they'll be judged by God based on one criterion, how the nations treated Zion, how they treated Israel. And there's three things.
Did the nation seek to divide the land? This resolution divided the land. Did they seek to scatter the people from the land?
That's what this resolution did. And the third thing was, did the nation cheapen Jewish life or cheapen the Jewish way of life? And they certainly did that as well.
So it was a complete fail for the nations. It was a biblical resolution that was offered by the Palestinians and it was a complete fail for the nations. It's a shocking thing. I read this and I thought, this is shocking that they violated Joel chapter three, verse two, to a T.
And then the following Sunday, they did something extraordinary. That was Wednesday. On Sunday, they had what they call the pact for the future.
And so they had this pre negotiated document, the hammer went down, nobody voted on it, but with one fell swoop of the gavel, it was adopted. It was this. It strengthened the power of the Secretary General of the UN so that he could declare a complex global shock. What does that mean? That means that in his estimation, there's some sort of a global crisis, including conflicts, wars.
He could make himself essentially a global dictator. And so he could restrict right to travel. He could restrict global financial transactions. All sorts of global powers would come into place.
We had the Tower of Babel in biblical times, which was a form of world government. But this is the first time since then, in 5,000 years of recorded human history, that a global government apparatus has been established in the world. So they first violated Joel chapter three, verse two, then they established a perch or a mechanism for global governance.
It was breathtaking, shocking. Where have I read this before? I've read this somewhere. A global one world government. Oh yeah, the Bible.
So like it's coming together. These are pawns on the chessboard and they don't even realize that this is all part of even what the Bible predicts. The US foreign policy has been weak. to say the least as it relates to supporting Israel particularly you served in Congress during the Obama administration. President Obama supplied a lot of cash to Iran you you you can tell them the numbers but even currently the current administration they're funneling money they're supporting the enemies of Israel talk about that a little bit.
Well as we know from Genesis 12 3 you Those who bless Israel are blessed, and those who curse Israel are cursed. And our government, very weirdly, under the Obama years, had a very different change of heart when it came to foreign policy. In 1979, the U.S.
State Department declared Iran the number one chief state sponsor of terrorism in the world, Iran. And they've held that status since 1979. So inexplicably... President Barack Obama gave $4 billion, not authorized by Congress, he just gave $4 billion to Iran. They were gasping for air. This is when I was serving on the Intelligence Committee.
Iran was about to turn the lights out for the nation. They couldn't go on anymore. And so the Ayatollahs were going to lose their power and influence in Iran.
Barack Obama gave them $4 billion, and then after that, He lifted sanctions and he allowed $150 billion to go to Iran. What did Iran use that money for? They used it for terrorism. So they used it to finance Hezbollah, the worst terror organization, the largest terror organization in the world.
That's basically the forward operating base for Iran. That's what Lebanon is. Not Lebanon, Hezbollah that effectively controls Lebanon. So it's a terrorist state, just like Iran is a terrorist state, Lebanon's a terrorist state, Gaza is a terrorist state, Syria, Iraq, terrorist states, Yemen, a terrorist state, all paid for by Iran, all paid for by the United States.
Because the United States lifted sanctions against Iran, so they couldn't sell oil. Now they can sell oil, and that money goes straight into terrorism. So we have something to repent for because of the actions that were taken by our leaders beginning during the Obama administration.
I'm not being political when I'm saying this. I'm being factual when I'm saying this. I was there. I observed it firsthand.
And now under the Harris and Biden administration, it's been a continuation of the Obama policy. We had a reprieve for four years when Donald Trump was president. Iran wasn't getting any money from the United States. All sanctions were put back into effect during that four-year reprieve. But Joe Biden, Harris came in and the sanctions were again removed.
Billions of dollars flowed into Iran. Billions of dollars went out to Hezbollah, to Hamas, to all of the terrorist proxy organizations. And that's why you saw the bombing begin. It was quiet during the Trump years because there's no money going to terrorists.
And then it became overactive during the Harris Biden years because now money is flowing to the terrorists. So that's where the tables stand right now. But as I mentioned with that third week in September, when we.
saw the terrible actions taken at the UN. God did something completely different. Talk about that because the providence of God's hand we've seen throughout this and just like bullet point a few of those wonderful things God has been doing. You need to know how mighty our God is. How mighty the God of Israel is.
The God who neither slumbers nor sleeps. The God of Israel. Once the nations of the world said yes Israel. divide your land, scatter your people.
We're going to cheapen the Jewish way of life. When the world said that, then God stepped in and said, wait a minute, I am here. And so what happened? Even more rockets. After that happened, that emboldened all the terror proxies.
Even more rockets came in from Hezbollah against Israel. But this time, Israel wasn't taking it. They were pushing back. And you saw that pagers and walkie-talkies. Thousands of them exploded.
And that took the mid-level terrorists and the Hezbollah operation. All of a sudden, everybody knew who the mid-level terrorists were because they were disabled and taken out. And then rockets started going back into Hezbollah.
And God did something that no one thought was possible. For over 25 years, Hezbollah has been holding 200... thousand rockets aimed at Israel over their heads. 200,000 rockets in about five, six days time, a hundred thousand. rockets were destroyed in about five days.
They'd been there for over 20 years. No one could believe that it was possible. And then their actions were taken so that the head of Hezbollah, Nasrallah, who's been there as the chief terrorist in the world for 25 years, he was taken out. and eliminated. His whole structure in his organization to a person was taken out and eliminated.
Nasrallah's replacement was eliminated. His replacement was eliminated. All the heads of command were eliminated.
Their replacements were eliminated. Their replacements were eliminated down to the mid-range level. And also the leadership in Iran, the head of the Iranian Guard Quds Force.
The baddest of the bad guys in Iran, their leader was just taken out last night. This has been unbelievable what's happened. Unbelievable. And one more miracle.
And the miracle of none of those rockets killed any Israelis. I forgot to tell that. Yes. Yeah.
So Iran fired. So this was just Hezbollah. So Hezbollah was from Lebanon, was firing all the rockets into Israel.
So then Israel. went up and raided Southern Lebanon. And you know what they found?
They found another October 7th. They found tunnels. They found rockets. They found explosives. They found shoulder-fired missiles.
And they found the plans. The terrorists had a far worse October 7th plan. For this year.
For this year. Maybe it would have been done by now for Galilee. and for the whole northern part of Israel.
So this was already done. They had everything ready to go. The terrorists planned to come into Israel and kill Israelis and cause another disaster. Only the God of Israel allowed Israel to go in and stumble onto this plan, find it all, including the plans.
So the 2nd October 7th was completely thwarted. It was an utter... miracle that God allowed them to find. And just after they thwarted that miracle, as Pastor Gary rightly said, for the first time in human history, over 200 precision ballistic missiles. These are the big guys.
These are missiles that are almost as big as this platform. Iran fired over 200 of these. Never happened before in history by any nation against any nation.
Iran fired those on October 1st against Israel and God used the system, the iron dome, David's sling, the arrow. They worked perfectly. This is not, the manufacturer does not guarantee that they would work at the level that they worked at. Absolute miracle. They worked together and they prevented many of the missiles from coming in.
The few missiles that did get through landed. on sand, in water, in the couple of bare spaces that there are in Israel. So nobody was killed.
Nobody was injured. No infrastructure was severely damaged. secular Jews in Israel were somewhere you know outside somewhere in their homes they'd see a rocket come down in a field they'd see a rocket here and secular Jews were saying this is biblical this is biblical some were saying I believe I didn't believe in God I know there is a God yeah and so This was in a span of about a 15-day period. And during that time, it's this time called Return to Shuvah, when the Jewish people are returning to the Lord. We're in the 10 days of awe right now.
And so 50,000 Jews went to the Western Wall to confess to God, to cry out to God, to repent before God. Then 100,000 Jews went and did the same thing. Then 150,000 Jews went to the Western Wall. There's a huge revival going on in Israel right now because the God of Israel is performing miracles too powerful for words. More powerful than a lot of the miracles that we read about in the Bible.
Yeah, and we just don't hear the good stuff on the news. So that's so great to be able to share that part of it. Well, Michelle, I'm gonna ask you to pray And, you know, there's this revival. There's this God awareness happening in Israel. But we want to also pray that that would translate to faith in Jesus, Yeshua as the Messiah.
We want it to come full circle for folks. So could you just pray for what's happening right now in Israel? Pray for the salvation of the Jewish people. Pray for the protection and the peace of Jerusalem. Please join me.
Father, we come to you now soberly and somberly. We praise you, O God, for what you have done. Great exploits, miraculous exploits. By all rights, the people and Israel should be annihilated by now.
There's never been a strike like that in history. And yet there's never been a defense like that in history. And you defended.
So God, we pray right now for what is to come. Israel is expected to strike Iran any moment. And so, Lord, we pray that the...
that you again would be there and that you would bring wisdom to bear and understanding and that the response would be exactly according to your plan. And so, Father, we thank you for the revival. Nothing is more important than the hearts of men and women turning back to you.
So we pray for your people. We pray for your land. And we pray, Lord, that you would open the and reveal yourself to those who know you not.
Lord, you say for those who don't know you, all of us, anywhere in the world, it's like there's a veil and you lift the veil. Oh God, would you lift the veil? Would you allow your people to see Messiah?
Oh God, you sent yourself into this world 2,000 years ago, born to Jewish lineage, a Jewish savior with Jewish disciples. Oh God. Come to your people now. Reveal yourself now. We pray for the greatest revival in history.
And we thank you for this moment in time and the privilege that we have to pray into this event. Oh God, we bless and we curse not. And we pray that the United States of America would reject cursing and would embrace blessing for our beloved brothers and sisters in Israel. In your mighty name we pray. Amen.
