Basic Movements
Movement:
Use the left analog stick to move, speed depending on pressure.
Running:
Hold the left trigger and move with left analog stick.
Ring Entry/Exit:
Move left analog stick towards ropes and hold the right bumper.
Basic Attacks
Light Strike:
Light attack button near opponent.
Alternate strikes: Move left analog stick towards/away while attacking.
Heavy Strike:
Heavy attack button near opponent, similar alternate strikes.
Grapples:
Grab button for a collar and elbow tie-up.
Follow-up attacks: Use light/heavy attack buttons.
Directional moves: Move the left analog stick up, down, left, or right.
Grounded Moves
Strike Attacks:
While opponents are grounded, use light/heavy attack buttons.
Grapple Moves:
Press grab button, then light/heavy attack.
Different moves based on location (head, side, legs).
Picking Up:
Move right analog stick up.
Turn Over:
Move right analog stick left/right.
Submission:
Approach head/legs, hold right trigger, press grab button.
Irish Whip and Rebound
Basic Irish Whip:
Press grab button twice to whip opponent into ropes.
Strong Irish Whip:
Hold grab button with direction to send opponent outside.
Pullback Moves:
Irish whip, then light or heavy attack to perform move before releasing opponent.
Rebound Attacks:
Press light, heavy, or grab button as opponent rebounds.
Light/heavy button: Perform strike.
Grab button: Perform grapple.
Running Moves
Running Strike:
Hold left trigger, use left analog stick to move, press light/heavy attack.
Running Grapple:
Similar to running strike but press grab button.
Turnbuckle and Diving Moves
Climbing Turnbuckle:
Run (hold left trigger) towards a corner or ropes.
Diving Attack:
Press light or heavy attack button.
Springboard Attack:
High flyers can use springboard attacks from apron by holding left bumper and pressing light attack.
Performable both inside and outside the ring.
Running Dive:
Run towards ropes and press light attack button.
Carrying and Dragging Opponent
Carry Move:
Grapple, then press right bumper to lift.
Move freely while carrying, press heavy attack to perform move.
Press light attack for environmental attack.
Escape carry: Rapidly press grab button.
Dragging:
Grapple, then press left bumper.
Perform while standing or when opponent is grounded.
Apron Moves
Basic Strike:
Light attack button when opponent is on apron.
Strong Attack:
Heavy attack button.
Grapple:
Press grab button to initiate grapple and follow with heavy/grab button.
Exiting onto Apron:
Move analog stick towards ropes, tap right bumper.
Signature and Finisher Moves
Signature Move:
Fill special meter by performing moves.
Full bar: Hold right trigger + light attack.
Finisher Move:
Ensure finisher is stored, hold right trigger + heavy attack.
Same button combination for charged finisher while opponent is on mat.
Super Finisher:
Requires three stored finishes.
Pinning and Submissions
Pin Attempt:
Move right thumbstick down.
Cancel Pin Attempt:
Press left bumper.
Kick Out (Timed Pin Mini Game):
Move right thumbstick up or press heavy attack button within green area.
Kick Out (Rapid Pin Mini Game):
Rapidly press heavy strike button to fill circle.
Enable accessibility options for held input.
Submission Move:
Hold right trigger + press grab button.
Cancel Submission:
Press left bumper.
Option for held input in accessibility settings.
Combo Moves
Combos:
Use a mix of light, heavy, and grab buttons.
Example: Cody Rhodes' butterfly pile driver: light + heavy + heavy + grab (while moving analog stick towards opponent).
Reversals, Dodges, and Blocks
Reversals:
Press reversal button (Y on Xbox, Triangle on PlayStation) when indicator appears.
Dodge:
Move left analog stick away, press right bumper.
Different classes perform different dodge styles.
Block:
Hold block button (Y on Xbox, Triangle on PlayStation), protects from light attacks.
Breakers and Taunts
Breakers:
Counter grapple by guessing opponent’s button (light, heavy, grab) and pressing it.
Same for countering strike combos.
Taunts:
Use d-pad for various taunt actions.
Crowd Taunt:
Press left on d-pad.
Opponent Taunt:
Press right on d-pad.
Wakeup Taunt:
Press up on d-pad to stagger opponent back to feet.
