Setup

Execution

Move hips close to opponent.
Elevate opponent’s foot using the pant grip to force a post.
Option: remove the lasso and push.
Follow-up: Sweep and transition to submission (e.g., Omoplata).
Technique 2: Standing Lasso with Ankle Control
Setup
Start with collar and sleeve or just sleeve control.
Establish lasso before opponent stands.
Execution
Let go of sleeve to grab near ankle.
Place foot on hip for leverage.
Push with elbow, elevate opponent.
Transition into position for knee cut pass.
Technique 3: Lasso from Half Guard
Setup
Half guard position, opponent attempts to trap leg.
Establish lasso half guard.
Execution
Extend and kick legs fully to bring opponent on top.
Use bottom leg for sweeping motion.
Transition to cross face and tripod for passing guard.
Technique 4: Half Guard Lasso with Feet Locked
Setup
Establish lasso from half guard and lock feet.
Execution
Extend and pinch knees for leverage.
Roll body to sweep and transition to top position.
Option: Come up if head is not hugged for additional leverage.
