take for granted hallelujah it's been an unusual year indeed has it not been well for me it's been an unusual year a year of unusual and uncommon elevation and like other they will say dates of the year we'll get there by the grace of God we're in the ninth month already and I don't want to be naughty this morning but I just feel like singing all those who are born in September stand up stand up but we expect my age and um because there are so many people in the month of May that are quite jealous of the month of September so I will not use the power of the microphone this morning but all those who are born in September stand Hallelujah God bless you [Music] woo all right today is the 259th day of the year can you put your hands together for God Almighty who ask kept us hail and Hearty alive and well up until this day and today is a 37th Sunday of the year and you know if you want to put your hands together to God put it put it put it together yeah yeah to God Alone be all the glory Sunday after Sunday God himself has packaged Rich dentist for us in this house and I took the liberty to go through all the search the scripture from the beginning of the year and I prayed that God indeed will enlarge our capacity that all the things that will receive that will retain by the grace of God that we obey will become flesh in our lives if indeed we receive all the things that God packages for us in here ah go we just be shining like this you know this te will be so much that you'll be wearing Shades there was somebody that said that on this stage that day you'll be wearing shades when you want to see but God will grant us Grace to have an open heart to receive all that God by himself packages for us in this house that we open our hearts to receive to obey fully and to launch with the re Revelation that we receive Sunday in and Sunday out we started this year with God on board that was the first thing that we did this year then Pastor took us on a guided tour of the Citadel and then from March 31st up until to last Sunday Pastor started a major series on the preeminence of Jesus Christ in his church and I trust God that the purpose of him leading us through this paths will not be lost on any one of us in the mighty name of Jesus I pray that Christ will not just be prominent in our lives but will indeed be preeminent in our lives I pray that we centralize him in our lives and I pray that he takes precedence in our thoughts he takes precedence in our actions he takes precedence in our businesses he takes precedence in our respective dmus your departments Ministries and units your service to God that God himself takes precedence not our reasoning or our logic and that in our church by the grace of God Christ himself will take the preeminence in his church in Jesus name so by the grace of God who will borrow a leaf from that powerful series and trust God as we look at today's topic titled um life lessons from a shining star life lessons from a shining star I hope we actually get to that topic today because you know as I just began to study so many things were just popping here and popping there should I put everything together I say go I will be here God sh I take control and just move Hallelujah so um in the last few Sundays as Pastor unraveled the timely topic on the preeminence of Christ in his church we saw that from Abraham we have three types of descendants we remember that namely the dust of the Earth the sand on the seashore and the stars of Heaven if you were not here please go back to the YouTube messages and you know get those information and be blessed by it from Abraham there are three types of descendants the dust of the Earth the sunand on the seashore and the stars of Heaven the stars are further classified into 2 three what are they thank you the shining stars the wandering stars and the fallen stars by the grace of God the CG City Community is made up of what H Allelujah we are made up of shining stars it is certainly God's desire that we all are shining stars at the cgcc and like the stars in heaven which he created on the fourth day it's my prayer verse one we show forth his glory it's my prayer that we give him pleasure Revelations 4:1 we won't read it and thirdly that we fulfill his purpose we will read gen Genesis chapter 1 verse 14-8 to see how the stars in heaven were formed and the purpose for which they were formed he said then God said let there be lights in the fence of the Heavens to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and seasons and for days and years and let them be for lights in the famin of the Heavens to give light on the earth and it was so then God made two great lights the greater lights to Rule the Day and the Lesser lights to rule the night he made the Stars also and God set them in the fent of the Heavens to give light on the earth and to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from the darkness and God saw that it was good so God made what the Stars also he set them in the fence to fulfill a purpose since that day of creation up until now have the Stars failed in carrying out their purpose no they haven't and there's a song that says if the stars were made to worship so will I love that song but it's a long one so will not sing it if the stars were made to worship and they have been worshiping since the day of creation up until now if we are shining stars by the grace of God we will give God pleasure and we will fulfill the purpose for which he has created us to be shining stars in the name of Jesus a gentle reminder also of these two things that a major responsibility of shining star is to do what if you get it first class tickets why are you grumbling to we where does it matter it's first class tickets where does not matter whether is he saying whether is a bad it does not matter it's first class ticket the major assignment of shining stars is to turn many to righteousness Daniel 12:3 we will not read that because Pastor as okay those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the fence and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever and this we can only achieve by the life of the holy spirit in us I want to read June Jude chapter 1 I'll read from Verse 18 sorry they told you that in the last times there will be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires these people are the ones who are creating divisions among you they follow their natural inst things because they do not have what God's spirit in them so the only thing that separates the shining stars from the other stars is what God's spirit in us and it's not just having God's spirit in us there's a critical word there that says what they follow it says in every given circumstances they do what they follow their natural instincts because they do not have God's spirit in them the question to you who has God's spirit in you is do you follow God's spirit or do you still follow your Natural Instincts because is easy for us to say wondering Stars they are far away they are not close by they are not us they are not with us we we are shining star we have the spirit of God but but the clear distinction there is that they do what they follow their Natural Instincts because they do not have the spirit of God we that have the spirit of God do we still follow our Natural Instincts or do we follow the spirit of God is a Food For Thoughts is a Food For Thoughts in every given circumstance in every given circumstance do you follow your Natural Instincts if we say Christ is taking preeminence in our lives that is in every thoughts and every decision he takes preeminence in every given circumstance do you follow your Natural Instincts or do you allow Christ take preeminence and do you follow his spirit I said earlier I said we think wandering stars are very far away from us they're not close by but there's actually a very thin line between wandering stars and shining stars when you find yourself grumbling and complaining living only to satisfy your desires then watch it and ask yourself is that the Holy Spirit speaking I'm talking to myself even yesterday somebody did something that offended me and I started grumbling I started murmuring and I said is this grumbling and this Ming is it of God is it of the Holy Spirit I want us to look at Jude because I'm not just speaking you know of my own accord what does Jude 1:16 say about the characteristics of the wondering Stars it says in NLT these people are what and what so when we begin to consider grumbling and complaining let us do what have a restraint in our spirit because there is nowhere in the entire scripture back to back where you'll find the Holy Spirit telling us that this is how to handle the situation by grumbling or by mumming and I've noticed personally that any time I do that I feel a Detachment from the Holy Spirit I feel him just move away quietly from me so when we Grumble and when we complete clean let us watch it it says living only to satisfy their desires they brag loudly about themselves and they flatter others to get what they want so let's be mindful and Let's Be watchful and may God have mercy on us in Jesus name I put a a little Clause here I said if someone has done something wrong to you or to us or to me instead of murmuring or complaining the Bible says you should do what convince rebuke exalt with all longsuffering patience and love 2 Timothy 4:2 we don't need to read that but instead of complaining instead of grumbling and this person did this thing I don't like it we already tending towards wondering by such attitude and character instead let us call that person ah this person you did so so I'm not Soo happy with this and the person will clear the air and you be surprised that what is even offending you he was I'm sorry I didn't even think about it so instead of dwelling in sin by complaining by guming by being angry let us cultivate the habit of going to the person who we think has offended us and express our dissatisfaction to that person praise the name of the Lord well like I said today by the grace of God I don't know if you have started but I to start by the grace of God this Sunday and as well as next Sunday um we'll be taking some lessons from a couple of characters from The Book of Esther and again when I told my friend you know she slept with me yesterday and I said she said how D you better be praying because today it's in God's hand she said where are you coming from I said the Book of Esther she said Esther again my mommy's name is what yes my mommy's name is what my mommy's name is Esther when we had our first daughter and we told her to send the name guess the name she sent you people are too smart when we had our second daughter we sent a list to her we said mommy please send the name you want for our second daughter guess the name she sent a she so by the time the third daughter came and the fourth daughter we did not want to disturb her we help her to put eser and guess the name that she [Laughter] sent we are assumed on her like I did and Mama sent Emmanuela I'm still looking Emmanuel inside the Bible when I find it I will bring it but we are treating Esther because Esther is part of our family she's my cousin Hallelujah so today we may not be able to look critically at those life lessons from Esther we will do that next week by God's grace but as I studied the beautiful Book of Esther a number of characters caught my interest which I would like to share with us and raise a few prayer points from and if time still permits by the grace of God we'll look at those vital lessons from Esther and the first character in The Book of Esther that I picked are the lovely Esther herself and murai these are shining stars who came from a lineage of a couple of wandering stars like shimi and Saul from an otherwise beautiful tribe of of Benjamin so we have Esther and modai they are shining stars they came from a lineage of wondering stars like who shimi and Saul from The Tribe of Benjamin let us open to Esther chapter 2 verse 5-7 it says okay at that time there was a Jewish Man in The Fortress of shusa or my own is shushan here whose name was modai son of J he was from The Tribe of Benjamin and was a descendant of Kish and shimi his family had been among those who with King Jem of Judah had been exiled from Jerusalem to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar this man had a very beautiful and lovely young cousin hadessa who was also called called Esther and when her father and mother died modai adopted her into his family and raised her as his own daughter as his own daughter that is not where I'm going to today but also that struck a cing me he raised her an orphan as his own daughter not as his own maid not as his own servants opportunities will come based on somebody's tragedy that brings somebody to your life how do you treat such a person mother Kai raised Esther that had no father no mother nobody she could report to he raised her as a daughter and when the time came for her to honor him as a father she did sometimes we forget that these people that are in our houses that they will grow up they will will grow they will leave our houses what impression do we leave with them our maids I'm talking to myself our nannies nephews cousins you see in the newspapers how some people abuse children that are kept with them if you have people like that in your neighborhood because I know shining stars like us we never do things like that but if you have someone like that in your neighborhood that abuses children please don't keep quiet be a shining star reach out to such a person and be a source of help to that kind of child so he raised that as his own daughter but like I said that's not our Focus that only CAU my interest so apart from the troubles um in the Battle of Gia giia um for The Tribe of Benjamin please you can just read that in the Book of Judges for time sake the benjamites generally had a good testimony about them the Bible records them as men of skill skilled Warriors and Men of What Men of Valor in fact our dear Apostle Paul was proudly from The Tribe of Benjamin if you look at Philippians chapter 3 verse 5 he expresses that there Apostle Paul was from The Tribe of Benjamin but Saul and shimi I wouldn't go through shimi again because my dear brother stea had taught on this earlier in the year Saul and shimi were spots in the love Feast of that family we have a beautiful Tribe of Benjamin we now have wandering stars that took their own decisions and choices Saul and shimi and then we have Esther and modai who decided to choose their own part irrespective of their ancestors and they on the right path and when I thought about this I thought about family gradings and family reunions and we come together and they begin to ask you which family are you from and you begin to introduce yourself and say I'm the family of shimi I'm from the family of Saul how proud will you be to say that so that is those people are whats like the black sheep of the family I just want us to just you know Bow Down our heads and pray and ask that God Almighty will gu our children in the choices that they make will guide us ourselves in the choices that we make that will not make choices that will make people cast us as the black sheep of the family that will not make people cast us as the spots in love Feast you come together and they say ah do you know that person this is the father of that child this is the son of that father that God Almighty will help us to get and carry out the right decisions every time that when our children come to Crossroads in life that God will guide them to choose the cross that they will not take a wrong decision by the grace of God we have the examples of Esther and Modi they did not follow in the same footsteps that their ancestors did but they chose the right path that indeed and in truth when our children are faced with decisions and choices to make in life that they will choose the right path they will choose the right thing they will make the right decision they will not be bad spots in our love Feast they will not be the black sheep of the family that God will guide our children into all truth in the mighty name of Jesus Amen so Esther and modai are good examples of people who turned right in spite of their ancestry and so let us not have the habit of blaming our parents for the choices that they made that God T into the situations that we are in so that first example is from the lovely Esther and modai another character in The Book of Esther that caught my attention is hmon the agagites we are familiar with the story in the book of ES and aan the Ager guys will consider him to be who Among the Stars is he a shining star sorry I didn't hear you fallen star he was a Wandering Star who eventually became a fallen star Esther chapter 3:1 after these things King Aeros promoted hon the son of Hamida the agagite and advanced him and set to seat above all the princes who were with him King Aeros promoted hmon who was what the son of who Hamida the what the Ager when I was reading it I was just singing one song I said generation after generation keep praising him and know what sums it up and I ask the Lord what name oh yes and it say yeah Hallelujah I was just being funny there that's me the song I know is Generation after generation they praise God but this Herman's generation as we look at it his own generation after generation they keep they kept getting water in my daughter's language they kept getting water my daughter will say mommy I'm hungry my stomach is spinning me okay and as she keep driving she said mommy is getting water so this generation of hman we are going to look at his lineage he himself like we said was a Wandering Star that became a fallen star and then the generations preceding him who was hmon hmon was said is the eer who is a descendant of who a gag the amalekites King hmon was who a descendant of a gag the amalekite king whom saw failed to execute on God's instructions I don't know if you remember that scripture let's quickly read it 1 Psalm chapter 15 1 Sam 15: 2 to9 he says thus says the Lord of hosts I will punish amalec for what he did to Israel how he did what ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt now go and attack amalec and utterly destroy all that they have and do not spare them but kill both man and woman infant and nursing child ox and sheep camel and donkey and so so Saul gathered if you see the way Saul responded so Saul gathered the people together and numbered them in L 200,000 foot soldiers you know God gave the instruction and immediately he looked like he was going to respond the way God sent him on the assignment so Saul gathered together the people numbered them inim 200,000 foot soldiers and 10,000 men of Judah and Saul came to a city of amalec and lay in weight in the valley then Saul said to the kenites go depart get down from among the Amal amalekites lest I destroy you with them for you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt so the kit departed from among the amalekites and Saul did what he attacked the amalekites from havila all the way to Shaw which is the east of Egypt he also took AAG King of the amalekites alive and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword but Saul and the people Spar who a gag and the best of the sheep The partial obedience in the house that may we truly truly truly honor him by our complete obedience to him at all times scripture says in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:6 that our obedience must be complete that God will help us God will deal with every Spirit of rebellion every Spirit of partial obedience God will help us to truly be completely obedient to his will and to his ways in the name of Jesus so we see hman a Wandering Star a fallen star being who a descendant of who a descendant of agag the king of the amals and who is Amal that's why he said from generation to generation he keeps getting wor the amalekites are descendants of Esau and I believe Esau to be the grandfather of wondering Stars wondering Stars remember are defined as those who have lost their tracks and their legitimate costes in life wanding stars turn the grace of God into lacious my prayers I would not take the grace of God for for granted Esau and Jacob were the only sons of Isaac Isaac was by far a standing shining star and he had only two as far as we know had only what two children so you can be sure that he poured himself into these two and in spite of pouring himself into Jacob and into Esau Esau still did what chose to be a grandfather of wondering Stars he bettered wondering in his entire lineage by the choices that he made the choice he made transited through that generation you can hardly see anything good come out from that entire lineage I want us to Bow our heads to pray again and ask that God help me to make the right decisions at all times guide me to make the right decision critical decisions that can affect my Generations unborn critical decisions that can affect families that I do not even yet know that are linked to me things that I say that I do a decision that that I take that is critical that can affect Generations unborn that God please guide me to take the right decision at all time God help us guide us into your truth help us to take the decision that will honor you at all times amen Genesis 36:12 to15 we want to establish how amalec is a son of Esau or is linked to Esau Genesis ch 6:12 says now timna was a concubine of elifas Esau's son and she bore amalec to elifas these were the sons of adah Esau's wife verse 15 says these were the chiefs of the sons of Esau the sons of who elifas the firstborn of Esau where Chief Taman Chief Omar chief zepo tooba I was so ill that people who were sick were calling me telling me sorry in the hospital and it got to a stage that my mom became desperate in quotes and she spoke to her brother who had just also recently lost his wife to child birth and that one came calling to me and said look if you had Le listened to this particular set of people maybe his wife would not have died that can he bring them my momy said please bring she's here she will allow you to let them come and this man came called himself a pastor you know and as soon as he entered the hospital room he just started you all these gesticulations and said ah that child in your wom you know alar Bara blessing he's a child of blessing a star child and all that that is a boy boy all my children are four four guests that he's a boy and that the destiny is great you know he talking of all manner of things and he said what we will do that there is a we have to wash you have to Bath me and then with seven candles seven when they were seven seven my mom was okay is maybe his stretch Seven Candle seven white seven seven be seven symbolic of holy spirit it's okay we can walk with it and then you know he said everything that we cannot bath that child we they cannot bath me as a pregnant woman so they will spiritually tie the baby to the roof then they will do the bathing after the routine has been completed they will bring the baby back into my body all the way he was talking I was just nding for the problem I cannot argue with you me argue I canot argue just carry yourself and go and then after he left Mom was like oh yeah when are we going to do this thing I look at her I said do what thing she said ah I said God Mom this is not Jesus i' would rather obey Christ and die in Christ though so that when I open this eyes I open it in eternity then obey these people that call themselves apostates they are apostates and die in the process and find myself in another place and she you know immediately her senses came back and said du thank you what am I saying the counterfeits are there and we know it they are becoming more real by the day it's like going to Alaba markets now if you want to buy Phillip Philips I they will tell you their different types different stages there's the original you want original original one is 10,500 the one that is almost original almost original is 8,500 the one that is not so original is 4,500 choose your choose your choice so those counterfeits now have original counterfeit original counterfeits that is what this people wear because if you look at their packaging those wise men you see seven you see seven you see they packaging from up to down they look they represent they look nice they look wealthy they look like the results are showing that yes truly they know what they are doing you understand they look like the real deal but they are not the real deal he there's no original there can be no counterfeit now let's say the original persons who
