studying all right A lot of people uh ask me over the years hey how do you study I struggle is hard for me to you know so on and so forth whatever so today is your day we going to help you out if you're struggling with studying let's start with Hosea 8:12 the book of Hosea chapter 8 and ver2 I have written to him the great things of my law but they were counted as a strange thing right so God gave us his laws which is in this Bible but we have counted it as a strange thing our people in the world still feel that way and a lot of us in this truth that was our mindset we thought it was the white man book we thought it was full of you know fairy tales or whatever the case may be you might come into the truth you think it's just a whole bunch of genealogies with you know impactful precepts here and there right but we we got to come out of that mindset this Bible is not a strange thing it is The Book of Life give me First Peter chapter 2 verse 2 1 Peter 2 verse 2 the book of 1 Peter chapter 2 and verse two uh-huh as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word so that's a part of being born again you renew your mind you know no longer count it as a strange thing as a newborn baby you do what desire the sincere milk of the word you establish a desire to read the Bible all right when the desire cometh it shall be a tree of life go ahead that ye may grow thereby that ye may grow thereby watch this if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious if so be that you have tasted that the Lord is gracious this is why he compares the word to milk it has a taste in the spirit give me that Hebrews 6 verse5 watch this Hebrews 6 verse5 the book of Hebrews chapter 6 and verse 5 come on and I've tasted the good word of God and it tastes good the good word of God it tastes good like sincere milk you understand so now get Revelation 10 ver9 still dealing with that taste the Book of Revelation chapter 10 and verse 9 growing up in the church how they taught it and left a bad taste in your mouth so you counting it as a strange thing but now as a newborn babe understanding that you a Israelite you desire it cuz now you got the proper Taste of you have now tasted the good word of God the sincere milk what it takes to change your life so watch this come on and I went unto the angel and said unto him give me the little book and he said unto me take it and eat it up and it shall make thy belly bitter but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey so this Bible tastes good it's sweet as honey you learn you got chosen people you learn what it take to get the kingdom of heaven so on and so forth but it will make your belly bitter watch this and I took the little book out of the Angel's hand and ate it up right meaning he read it this is figurative all right when it says he ate it up that means he read it go ahead and it was in my mouth sweet as honey it tastes good the good word of God come on and as soon as I had eaten it my belly was bitter but here's the thing there are things in this Bible that will convict you you understand that will wait on your conscience and cause you to heavily examine yourself and that's why a lot of people claim to struggle with studying but we going to get to that later just keep that in mind all right but I'm going to deal with three challenges as to why people say they struggle with studying first one is reading comprehension all right go to James 1 verse5 I struggle with reading comprehension I try to read and I I don't get it watch this come on the Book of James chapter 1 and verse 5 uh-huh if any of you lack wisdom let them ask of God that giveth to all liberally and upth not right so this book is a spiritual book right so if you struggle with reading comprehension and you pray to the Lord the Lord will put a spirit on you to be able to understand what you're reading but you have to believe that go to wisdom of Solomon chapter 7 and verse 7 watch this the book of wisdom of Solomon chapter 7 and verse 7 come on wherefore I prayed and understanding was given me I called upon son God and the spirit of wisdom came to me you see that it is a spirit the understanding of this Bible is a spirit that God is able to give you if you ask him for it in belief not doubting you understand give me Romans chap 10:1 17 and I know that this is true believe it or not it's mighty men you understand one of the top men in this nation told me I a going say his name he told me he always struggled through school he barely graduated he never had good grades he was never academically sound but if you hear him with his understanding of the scriptures how he bring it out you would think that this man was a damn black Einstein or something growing up like he was a class valadi dictorian no that's what the spirit is able to do that's what the spirit is able to do all right but watch this read that the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 17 come on so then Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God so what I want out of this to help you brothers and sisters that deal with the reading comprehension obstacle right pray to the Lord first and foremost to increase your understanding and retention and all of that but also there are strategies right there are audio versions of the Bible you can play the Bible cuz you may have a problem with reading but you don't have a problem with hearing right that's why we got the four chapter to Day readings Every Day in Israel United in Christ so you play the audio and read along with the audio you understand so the way that you will hear it well your mind will better be able to interpret what you're reading that is a strategy Faith come by hearing hearing by the word of God utilize audio versions read along with them and that will help you in your studying all right the next obstacle that people often say is that they don't know where to start I struggle with studying because I don't know where to start watch this second eus 16: 50 the book of second ezis 16 and verse 50 MH so shall righteousness hate iniquity come on when she teth herself and shall accuse her to her face when he cometh that shall defend him that diligently sear so this is talking about Christ Christ is going to come to defend them that what that diligently searcheth out every sin upon Earth so that is our objective we must search out every sin upon Earth how do we do that we go to the law you're trying to seek out what am I doing wrong what are the dos and don'ts of life so that I can be defended by Christ when he return and not on his Hit List you understand so if you don't know where to start hey start with the law yeah you understand search out every sin that you can another thing Job chapter 8 verse 8 job 8 and8 read that the Book of Job chapter 8 verse 8 come on for inquire I pray thee of the former age and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers to the what to the search of their fathers to the search of your fathers many of us right if not all of us pretty much we had to go through Esau's school system K through 12 for 133 years you were required to learn about the white man's forefathers his history guess what this Bible is the book of our fathers you understand so if you don't know where to start start with your foref thought the history all right watch this sarak 44:1 watch this the book of ecclesiasticus chter 44 and verse 1 come on let us now praise famous men what let us now praise famous men famous men Abraham is famous Moses is famous you understand Daniel is famous Let Us Praise famous men come on and our fathers that begat us and our fathers that beet us jump down to verse eight how do we do that come on verse eight uhhuh there be of them that have left a name behind them that their praises might be reported these famous men their life story their Praises are reported where in the Bible you understand so if you want to learn about your fathers you read the reports or the records of them in this Bible give me that real quick 1 mbes 2:51 first macabus 2:51 this is what matathias taught his sons read 1 mcab chapter 2 and verse 51 come on call to remembrance what acts our fathers did in their time uhhuh so shall ye receive great honor and an everlasting name everybody want that right don't everybody want great honor and an everlasting name well what do you got to do call to remembrance the acts of your forefathers how do you do that you read about them you understand so that sarak 44 when you read sarak 44 all the way down through chapter 50 it goes into your for fathers and it gives you if you got a Bible that has the precepts on the side it points you to the the the the chapter the books and chapters that you know their reports are referenced so you can read sarak 44 through 50 and go to the chapters where it breaks down in detail the stories the accounts of those forefathers and H you got a year worth of study doing that you understand so that would alleviate that issue now the last issue I want to deal with goes back to what I was hitting at earlier in the beginning the Bible is sweet in our mouths but it makes our bellies bitter why because not only because you read about a bloody destruction at the end of days the day of Doom that that is bitter right but is the Bible is a mirror that reflects all the infirmities and flaws within you everything that causes you to fall short of the measure and statue of Christ when you read the Bible it shows you about yourself and the third problem that I'm going deal with why people struggle is that they don't want to face themselves give me James chap 1 verse 21 the Book of James chapter 1 verse 21 come on wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness and receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your soul y'all see that you you struggle with receiving the engrafted word because you don't want to lay apart all the filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness you understand you have to get rid of your evil ways so you can receive the engrafted word you don't want to receive it because you know it's pointing out everything wrong with you you understand and when it says engrafted word that means that it's supposed to be imprinted into your DNA all right so how you going to receive that if you're full of wickedness that's a lot of people's problem read on but be ye doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves uhhuh or if any be a hear a lot of people think they going to make it to the kingdom just by coming to class no you must study to show yourself approved unto God so you must apply in order to even receive the word properly or you're not going to you ain't going to make any progress watch this for if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass in a mirror because that's what the Bible is go ahead for he beholdeth himself so you see you read the Bible and you see what you got to do to change your evil ways you see the flaws within yourself right go ahead and goeth his way but then you leave mirror read and straight way forget what manner of man he was you forget what manner of man you were meaning what you forgot that you had something wrong with you you understand you forgot that the Bible told you not to do this and not to do that so because you don't want to give those things up you don't want to make those changes in your life you don't want to go back to that mirror because you're going to be reminded that you did not do what the Bible told you to do and that's was hindering a lot of you brothers and sisters in reality all right go to Hebrews 4:12 we almost done the book of Hebrews chapter 4 and verse 12 come on for the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two weed sword piercing even to the dividing aunder of Soul and Spirit and of the joints and Marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart the Bible will show you who you really are the Bible will expose you you understand and it hurts it cuts a two ass sword that's a wound you understand that that is not a pleasant feeling but that's what's needed that's how we going to tap into that power watch this second Timothy 3:16 the Bible is not designed to make you feel defeated or less than or I would never achieve and I'm just never going to get it no is quite the opposite as Satan telling you that that's why you don't want to pick up the Bible you feel like you cannot obtain but that's not what the word is for watch this read that 2 Timothy 3:1 16 come on all scripture is given by inspiration of God all scripture given by inspiration of God read and is profitable for Doctrine uh for reproof for correction for what for correction uhhuh for instruction and righteousness why read that the man of God may be perfect what is God trying to do that the a man of God may be perfect the Bible is here to perfect you not to make you feel defeated you understand not to discourage you the Bible is set to perfect us read thoroughly furnished unto all good works so if you neglect studying you're never going to obtain that it is what it is you may have zits and all type of blemishes or whatever on your face get in the mirror and equip yourself with the tools to remove those things all of those things are in the Bible it not only points out and acknowledges your wrongdoings but it gives you Solutions and strategies to overcome that you may be perfect all right so if you're not studying you missing out last scripture wisdom of Solomon 6 And1 The Book of wisdom of Solomon chapter 6 verse 11 go ahead wherefore set your affection upon my words set your affection or your desire desire set affection upon his words not the video game not the hooping not the uh what's some not food set your affection upon his words read desire them and he shall be instructed come on wisdom is glorious and never fadeth away so that wisdom is his words in verse 11 the Bible is glorious and never Fades away come on yay she is easily seen of them that love her she is what easily seen of them that love her if you love this Bible that's a lot of y'all problem you haven't fallen in love with this word you must fall in love with the word of God right and once you do she's easily seen the scriptures are easy to understand the scales will fall off read and found of such as Seeker read verse 20 verse 20 therefore the desire of wisdom the desire of wisdom the desire to study go ahead bringeth to a kingdom that the man of God may be perfected and found worthy of the kingdom of heaven so if you struggle with studying right we acknowledge the issues how to overcome them and ultimately you want to get the Kingdom right listen you must study you understand so desire it the sincere milk of the word that taste that good word of God yeah it's going to make your belly bitter but guess what it's not to destroy you it's to perfect you that you get
