Hi everyone and welcome to Apna College Raj's session. There is a very important announcement for all the students. Before that announcement, there was one more special thing that I wanted to share with you.
In the last one month, Apna College has received 25 million viewership on YouTube. And this is something that we have been noticing consistently for the last one year. So this thing has become possible only and only because of your trust, your support and your love.
Thank you. like C tutorial, JavaScript series, SQL, Python, different series, different one shots, different tutorials are reaching students, students are able to use them, they are able to read from them, this is possible only because of your trust. And our objective was that quality content should reach every student of India, irrespective of their background, we are going closer and closer to that.
And the same thing, Today we are going to take that objective to the next level because we are going to announce our new DSA series which we will start on our college YouTube channel starting from 2nd of September. Now let's talk about the objective of making this DSA series, what was our reasoning behind it, what were the issues that existed in the existing series which we will try to resolve through this. The first issue that we faced in the existing series was the pseudo codes.
In many places, you will see DSA series on YouTube where only pseudo-coding is done and the student is left there. Which gives a false sense of security. Due to which the preparation is incomplete because it takes effort to write the code. So, it will be tried to tackle that thing completely. A complete preparation will be tried.
The second issue that exists is regarding objective. In many places, you will see DSA series on YouTube whose only objective is to promote some coding brand. or sponsor someone or put an affiliate link, the objective of that is not to make your placement and internship well prepared.
So when you get the promotion, you are taught the pseudo code, affiliate link is put in and it takes 2.5 to 3 years to complete such series. So here comes the most important thing regarding the new series, that we are not sponsored by anybody. Our single objective is that all the quality content should reach all the students.
And keeping that objective in mind, we will be completing all our syllabus within a fixed time with a strict deadline. And the third issue is the issue of structure. In many places, you will see such series or such playlists which are incomplete. In many places, you will see such series where excess things are done, which basically ends up wasting the time for a student. So we will strictly do as many things as are necessary for our placement and internship preparation without wasting a lot of time.
Because if you practice question better than watching videos, then there will be more benefit for the student. So these are the 3 major issues to resolve. We are going to start with the new C++ DSA series on our college YouTube.
And this series can be seen by any student. We will start from beginners and we will study till complete advanced DSA. And this series is going to be unlike any other series that you have seen of DSA.
It can be started by any student whether you are coming from any tier college, branch, or you already know about coding, you have done DSA or you have never done DSA before. We will start things fresh, first we will cover fundamentals, then we will cover major code, data structures, algorithms including the code. We will not leave things on pseudo code, we will do things including code and after that we will cover our advanced topics also.
We will be getting all the things in a structured manner. We will be studying all the things in depth. We will be preparing completely.
And this series will not be held which will be held for years. We will be completing it within the next year. Now the major vision behind starting this series is that students should be able to prepare for their placement independently. We should not be dependent on outdated college curriculum. we don't have to depend on anyone else to get us a placement internship, we have all the resources available which we can use to complete our preparation properly.
Now in this session, one more additional thing that I wanted to share with you that is whenever we have to decide to learn something new, whether it is DSA or something else in tech whether it is in non-tech or in any other field, whenever we start a new learning journey we have to keep one thing in mind that whenever we are deciding, whenever we have options We have to try and try to judge for ourselves because everyone has a different learning pace and learning style. If we have to give something for at least 10 minutes, 20 minutes, half an hour, then we will understand where we are understanding things well, where we are liking the structure, where you liked the structure, where you are understanding things, where you are able to recall things, where you feel that I am getting quality teaching here, we should go there and study. Not necessarily with me. but wherever you understand best, we should prepare ourselves from there. At the end, we are devoted to bringing quality content for our students in our college. And maybe that is the reason that the viewership of 25 million on YouTube, they are able to achieve their college and that is something that is a proud thing for all our students.
