Hey, what's going on everybody? A quick preview today. 2025 Bowman baseball has been released. I rip Bowman every year, but I do it a little differently. I'm not the type of person to be ripping hobby boxes of Bowman. They're super expensive, and I always go the retail route. I always go the blaster route, and we're doing that again here on the channel. Um, yesterday was if if you were with us, thank you to everybody uh by the way, who came out to whatnot uh to the show. I had a blast. Uh right when we started the show on whatnot is when pre-order dropped and I immediately bought 10 blasters and then I noticed that they were still in stock. So I bought a full case. So I will be doing a full case challenge with 2025 Bowman blasters eventually. I'll also have h between 10 and 20 to do for battles here on the channel. So plenty of Bowman content coming up. But if you're looking for hobby, not really for me. Very pricey. It was like $500 for a jumbo hobby box. Some people love it. I'm not a huge prospect guy, so I feel like if you're real big into prospects, Bowman is definitely your product, and we'll get into that when we get into the checklist here. Um, but other than that, you can still pull great hits out of retail. We will take a look at the odds. You know, there's going to be some things that you can't pull out of retail, but this is going to be a very basic look at the checklist because I noticed that once I got done with filling all the whatnot orders, I went to the Topps website again to see what was in stock and the checklist and the odds were there, which I was shocked. I didn't think we would get it this soon. So, let's go through this checklist. Enough wasting time and take a look. Now, here here's the base cards. That's what you're going to see first here. What I like about Bowman, one of the top things I like is all the superstars are in here. The base set is always very small. It's usually a hundred cards and I believe it's the same this year. And you could see right here just by looking at this first page, Mike Trout, Gunner, uh Bryce Harper, Show Otani, Camo, like just Ronald Akuna, Sodto, Tatis, all the superstars are going to be on here. And we got some key secondyear players on here as well, which is really nice. But let's take a look at the rookies. We already know who the vets are in this set. Jacob Wilson is in this set. The big one, number 12, Roki Sasaki. That is going to be a very big chase. Uh do not be alarmed that he kind of struggled in his first start. The kid has electric stuff. I think he's only 23 or 24 or 25, so he's got plenty of time to grow and be an elite pitcher, and we already know he's on an elite team. So, Roki Sasaki is going to be a big chase in this set. Number 29, James Wood. And uh obviously he's a big chase. He's having a pretty good start to the year. Paul Ske, that's going to be a secondyear card for him. As we scroll through, Dylan Cruz, card number 42. Speaking of Cruz, there's Ellie de la Cruz. Of course, he's going to be in here. Conor Norby. Jackson Job. Jackson Job is a top pick of the Tigers a few years ago, so he's going to be a nice chase, too, for a pitcher. Uh if you're looking to collect on the pitchers, Jace Young is in here. Hursten Waldrip, we know these guys. River Ryan Brooks Lee. He's a top rookie. Or Elvis Martinez. He started in the minors, I believe, but he should be back up at some point. Number 77, Jackson Holiday. It's going to be a second year for him. But right after him, Spencer Schweenbach. One of my favorite rookie pitchers to collect. He's had an incredible start to the season. Kumar Rocker is on here. He's had a rocky start, no pun intended, but a ton of big potential with Kumar. Obviously, another high pick. Big Christmas is on here. Akunia's brother for my Mets is on here. There is Ben Rice as well. Um, we have Tyler Lleier. Alcantara is in here, which is interesting. I'm assuming he's going to be in series two when that comes out. And there is Nick York. Now, after the top 100, we get to the paper prospects and the chrome prospects. Now, they're all going to be the same, so we don't have to go through the chromes. I am going to miss players. Like I said, I am not a prospect guy. I know a lot of the Chase guys, some of the top names, but I will miss some some of the key uh chases. You can yell at me in the comments and tell me who you're collecting, but I got a few guys in mind. Uh Walker Jenkins and Zire Hope start off. Those are two top prospects, obviously. Kate Horton is a top prospect for the Cubs. None of those guys, these are not their first Bowman, though. Everybody's looking for the first Bowman's. Colt Emerson, he's a top prospect. Here's a good first Bowman, JJ Weather Holtz for the Cardinals. I've heard a lot of good things about him. Um, the nice thing is though, guys, just keep in mind, you got all these guys in here. Some the first Bowman's always go for better pricing than some of the regular prospects. But that doesn't mean if you pull like the next two guys, Lazaro Montes and Max Clark, two high-end prospects that aren't first Bowman, if you pull good numbered cards of those players, they're going to hold value. I mean, that's the nice part about Bowman is usually you get a a good amount of color. Even out of retail, you get plenty of color and um you can still get value even though a guy's not a first Bowman. Like there's a few good first Bowman chases in here. I like the overall checklist between the rookies, the superstar base, which you're always going to get, and you got a chance to get obviously those numbered, and then the regular prospects as well. I noticed David Ortiz Jr. on here. I don't know anything about him, but a very interesting name on the checklist. Uh James Tibs, I know is a top prospect. Christian Campbell for the Red Sox. I've talked about him before. We're hoping that he's going to be in series two because if he is, that's going to be a massive chase for series two. Hey, because he obviously made his debut already. Hagen Smith. Hagen Smith is a top prospect for the White Sox pitcher. Same with Cam Camoniti, top pitching prospect. Cam Smith. All these guys have already had their first Bowman's and Bowman draft, but Cam Smith for the Astros. His first Bowman was with the Cubs. I believe he's in this set as well. Um Bryce Raineier, I think he's a top prospect. Not a 100% sure about him. Aiden Miller, not a first Bowman. Great player, great prospect as well. Leo Dere, Leo Dere is a very high-end prospect that I like a lot. Super young for the Padres's, so he should be pretty interesting. As we continue to go here, Franklin Aras. I believe he's one of the top chases for a first Bowman. And right above him, Jesus M aka Jesus Maid. You got to love that name. Jesus Mate for the Brewers. I think for most people, he's the number one chase in the product. So, if you pull him, his first Bowman, set those aside because he appears to be a top top prospect um in this set. Moving on, just a little below that, we have uh Charlie Condan. That's another top top prospect for the Colorado Rockies. We love people that are coming through Colorado, especially too. Um I believe Condan was one of the best hitters, one of the best collegiate hitters. Um in terms of prospects, Kevin McGonnagal for the Detroit Tigers. He's a first Bowman and I was shocked by that. I didn't realize that he hadn't had one yet, but I'm pretty sure he's a first Bowman as well. McGonagal a lot of people think could be one of the top three prospects in baseball next season. So, um, not some people say he doesn't have a super super super high ceiling, but he's got the highest floor out of anyone. That's what I've heard from people. That doesn't have to be true. You guys can let me know. Connor Griffin, Pittsburgh Pirates, real high-end prospect that already had his first Bowman, but he's in this set. Great guy to keep an eye on as well. Siver King for the Washington to Nationals is a high-end prospect as well. Tink Hence, Cardinals pitcher Jack Kaggle Leone. I'm going to be trying to collect a bunch of color Jack Kaggleon cards. He hit a bomb the other day. I think it was a day or two ago. An absolute missile. He's already got a couple of home runs in the miners. Big kid, just absurd power. Christian Moore, he's a top chase for the Angels. Samuel Basalo is the top catching prospect in baseball for the Baltimore Orioles. Really good uh hitting prospect. Nick Curts. He was one of the top picks in the draft. He's already had his first Bowman, but he is in this set as well. And keep in mind, the prospect set is 150 cards. As we scroll here, there's Andrew Painter for the Phillies. He's been around for a while. Chase Burns already had his first Bowman, but he's a top pitching prospect for the Reds. And let's see, Travis Bazanna. Bazanna is lighting up doubleA. Bazanna, mark my words, will be in the pros this year. He is too good. He will be the starting second baseman for the Cleveland Guardians. I guarantee it. I think Bazan is going to fly through the system. Sebastian Walcott's one of the best prospects in all of baseball for the Texas Rangers. I'll be trying to I'm trying to create a collection of him. So, I'll be looking for numbered cards of him as well. And that's it. There's guys I missed. Like I said, you can let me know in the comments who you're chasing. I'm super interested always to hear from everyone as to who they want to chase. So, don't hesitate. Let me know if a guy is super young and got a lot of talent because I do not claim to know everything. In fact, I don't know anything. I know a very cursory knowledge of prospects. So, keep that in mind. Chrome prospects we don't need to go through. They are all the same as the top 150. Chrome prospects retrofarrator. We remember these. So, these are legend cards that they do first Bowman's of. Brooks Robinson and Steve Carlton are in here. Very interesting. base cards etched in glass variation. I cannot wait to see what those look like. We got a lot of the top rookies in the set on here. Um, not all of them, but most of them actually. It looks like all of them actually. Sasaki, Wood, Mayo, Cruz, Job, Brooks Lee, pretty much all of them are in here. And then some of the prospects made this as well. And that's going to actually tell you like if you want a hint of who to chase sometimes, just go to the inserts because they put the big names on there. You can see some of the guys I mentioned like Condan, McGonagal, Mate, Weatherhalt, and then guys I didn't mention and even Arius I mentioned uh Caldwell Morlando Thomas White. So that just tells me right there if you pull them cards they're probably one of the top guys. Bowman Spotlights is one of the greatest inserts ever created. I'm not sure how rare these are this year but they were they used to be pretty common even out of blasters. Then they made them like case hits. So, I'm assuming they went back to K hits with these. Look at the checklist for this. Dylan Cruz, Jacob Wilson, Bobby Wit Jr., Jesus, Mate, Roi, Sasaki, Hung, Kim, uh, Morlando, Luis, uh, Akuna, Otani, Weatherhol, Wood, Condan, Mayo, Akunia Jr., Ronald Akuna, I should say, and Kumar Rocker. Then the anime version. If you've seen these anime version, they're like cartoon versions. They're really cool. I've never pulled one. They're I don't even know if you can pull them in blasters. You probably can only pull them hobby. Um, but huge awesome checklist for that 30 card checklist and just massive names including legends like Ichiro and Jeter is on here. Pretty pretty cool actually. And then there's some anime kanji variation with it looks like the Japanese guys. So Ichiro, Sasaki, Matsui, and Otani. Bowman Scouts Top 100 is back. That is a insert that's been around for a long time. You can see Roman Anthony at the top of the list. He's the number one prospect in baseball. Walker Jenkins, Carson Williams, Marcel Meyer. There's Basalo who I talked about top catching prospect. And there's Charlie Condan. He's going to be the first one of the first Bowmans in this set. And he's prospect number five. Not going to go through all of these, but a lot of prospects that you're familiar with that are either on the cusp of making it or some who actually already have made it by the time, you know, this product releases in a month or so. Um, it's always a fun set to collect. 100 card set. Rookie of the year favorites. These are very common. Typically, you get a bunch of these. Um, you're going to have all the top rookies in the set in there. Most of them. Hobby stars. There are new inserts. Hobby stars seems cool. Great checklist with that one, including Ellie Dea Cruz, who I want to chase there. Very important prospects. VIP. So, this is also a great checklist. Rockstar rookies. I mean, they added some We got some inserts added here for sure. I think they added a bunch more. Crystallized Kaggle Leó's in there. All the top again, all the top rookies, all the top chases. Greatness Loading. That's another 25 card insert set. Bryce Eldridge is in there. Kegleion, Wood Cruz, Weatherhalt, all the guys we talked about. Connor Griffin, Schwelmbbach. Pretty cool. And then we have the autographs. I'm not going to go through the autographs because we have just an absurd amount of autographs. the good ones and the and the uh and the bad ones. Let's switch gears over to the odds real quick. Uh just keep in mind I suck at math. I am not a spreadsheet guy. You're going to get a bunch of channels that will do the spreadsheets for you. Watch those channels. I do not do that. I'm that's just not my thing. Um so again, go watch the other channel. There's a bunch of really good channels that do spreadsheets on the odds and what's your best, you know, chances to pull yada yada yada. Not really my thing. But the one thing I want to show you, you know, if you scroll all the way to the right, this is on Topps's website. If you scroll all the way to the right, you'll get your value box if you're going to join me in retail. You get your value box odds. Now, there's also Breakers Delight, which I did not even see that drop. Maybe it dropped today. Um, I didn't see that, but Breakers Delight has some of its own specific crazy weird odds. Um, and then the other two are hobby. So, jumbo hobby and regular hobby. So the first column is regular hobby, second jumbo hobby and then value box. If you don't see something on the value box side, that means you cannot pull it. It is not in there. So like if we look if we go to the second page here, you'll see a big gap down down here at the bottom for value box. And what those are are these right here. These geometrics like certain Chrome prospects geometric parallels. You can only get those in hobby formats, but that doesn't really like I don't really care that you can't get certain things in the blasters. As long as I have a decent chance at getting autographs, then I'm fine with it. Um, the anemy, can you pull those from blasters? You can. One in 2300 packs for the anime. So, that was one thing I was interested in because I was not sure if you're able to pull those. Here's Bowman Spotlights. Bowman spotlights w cannot be pulled in blasters. So that's unfortunate. So Bowman spotlight is going to be hobby case hit. It looks like uh one in400 regular hobby packs and jumbo. So really really really difficult um pulls those are. That's unfortunate. So some of the inserts that I showed you on the other page you can't even pull in in retail, but it is what it is. We can still pull autos and stuff. And let's find that chrome prospects autographs. You can see that line right there. If I scroll over, one out of 54 in hobby, one out of nine in jumbo, one out of two in Breakers Delight because Breakers Delight's weird. Blasters, one in 121. Do not be alarmed by that number. That would signify if there's six packs per box or Yeah, six packs per blaster and there's 40 blasters, that's 240. That means you're only going to get two autos per case. I don't believe it. Uh so don't believe that. You're going to get when you buy a case of Bowman, every single time that I've bought one, to be honest with you guys, I almost always pull between five and eight autographs in a case. Why? That's only the odds here for the base chrome auto. You're going to pull numbered cards, numbered autos, and you're going to pull paper autos. There's paper autos in retail. I don't know if I can find those quickly. There's so many odds on here. Let me see if I can find uh paper prospect autos. Yep, right here. Well, there's regular paper prospects. If I can find them quickly, we'll go through that. Maybe they're down here a little further because you got to keep in mind like when people see that that Chrome thing, they're like, "Well, wait a minute. All right, here we go. Paper prospects retail autographs. can't pull them in hobby because they it specifically says retail one out of 237. Again, the odds don't look good, but that's another auto in the case. So, you're going to pull two chrome autos, you're going to pull one paper auto, and then you also have all the odds for all the numbered autos as well. So, keep that in mind. Like, people see that, they panic. Oh my god, there's only going to be two autos in a case. 100% false. I guarantee you when we do our our uh case rip, when we do the full case rip, we'll pull five to eight. Um it it's just a absolute guarantee. If we don't, I will run down Transit Road in wearing only my Western New York cards hat. So that we'll make that a thing. Rookie of the year favorites autographs. Another thing here, you cannot pull That's just one random thing that I saw um that I wanted to point out. You cannot pull the rookie of the year favorites in value boxes, which I thought was kind of weird. Keep in mind with the rookie checklist and pulling rookie autos, rookie autos are super hard to pull for some reason in Bowman. It's not I don't know why. I I don't know why they make it super hard, but last year I opened a couple Bowman cases. I only pulled like two rookie autos in two cases, so one per case. Thankfully, one of them was a Lawrence Butler rookie green auto to 99. That turned out to be a phenomenal pull. Usually when you pull one, it's awesome because like I said, it's so hard to do, but you're way more likely to pull the prospect autograph. So, just keep that in mind. Anyways, that's all I got. I didn't want to dive like too deep into this because I honestly I'll sound stupid. I don't know a ton about all these players, but I know just enough to kind of get you by. And with the checklist being released, I was pumped to get a preview video out um on this set because I do like doing Bowman every single year on the retail side. I have a ton of fun with it. Um, the full case profit challenge. My case has been delayed forever. I'm so sorry. I wanted I've wanted to start this challenge the past two days. This case just will not come in the mail. Hopefully, it is here tomorrow and we can start the series tomorrow. You're going to want to make sure you're subscribed to the channel. You're going to want to come back for that.
