Where did I, uh, where did I put those? Hmm. Here?
Nope, not in there. This one? Nope.
What is this? Ah! Well hey folks, welcome back.
Today we got a doozy for you. We're going to be discussing some of the most rare Roblox virtual item codes in existence today. These codes are more rare than your dad's steak on date night. The reason these items are so rare is because you cannot simply go to the store and buy them.
As a matter of fact, you've never been able to go to the store and buy them. That is because these codes are exclusively handed out to the employees and administrators at Roblox. Now, my buddy Gaines considers himself a collector and investor of luxury serialized cardboard scratch tokens.
So he's gonna be giving us a rundown on admin codes. Thanks, Udzal. I'd like to first point out that it's important to consider that unlike other collectibles like Pokemon cards, or Magic the Gathering, or maybe you're into Beanie Babies... Hey, uh, Gaines, I don't mean to interrupt, but, uh, what's a Beanie Baby? Good question, Udzal.
Back in the 90s when I was young, a bunch of old ladies went crazy buying these stupid bean-stuffed animals, creating an investment bubble that ultimately popped because they had no real intrinsic value. Oh, I see. Anyways, Roblox is unique from other collectibles because the availability of virtual items decreases as time passes.
In the Pokemon environment, there may be 1,000 Set 1 Charizard cards in circulation, and in 10 years, there will likely still be 1,000 in circulation. Awesome. Of course, in the Roblox environment, once the token gets used, there is one less in circulation.
The effect of this, as shown earlier in the video, is exponentially fast value growth once the desirable item is out of print. There is some concern that virtual items may go limited in the future, but that is a topic for another video. Now let's get back on topic. When I first heard about admin codes, I thought it was just a fairy tale.
Right up there with the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot. It didn't take me long to do just a little bit of research and realize that in In fact, it wasn't a fairy tale, and these codes were actually real. Admin codes that many have referred to them as are virtual item codes that are given as gifts to the employees of Roblox.
You can see in the image, the paper that comes with the small bag of tokens reads as followed. These tokens come with a unique code for a virtual item on Roblox. The virtual item is the same, so keep one for yourself and give the rest out to your friends and family or whoever you like in real life.
Let's take a look at what these codes are redeemed for. First up, we have the Golden Roblox Bowler. This hat was released in the Roblox catalog in March of 2019. According to rblx.trade, as of late 2022, there are 1,150 copies redeemed on Roblox. Here's a quick look at what the tokens actually look like.
Quick eBay history search will reveal the last one sold for almost $600. Please note these aren't my actual auctions I'm showing. These are just historical sales.
Next up we have the Bag O Robux. This was released in April of 2021 and best consensus is there's 700 copies currently redeemed. And for those of you who need to decipher what token redeems for what, here's what the token actually looks like. And if you take a look at the eBay history, you'll see the last one sold for $500.
And the last one that I actually have in my possession is the Developer's Longsword. This one was released in September of 2020, and oddly it has 4,100 copies redeemed. Here's a look at the physical token.
Roblox fandom had this to say about the Long Sword, and I quote, On March 8th, 2022, codes were glitching out. If the code was not already used before, it would work on any account infinite times. The glitch worked for about 20 minutes until it was finished. hundreds of people got this item from it. The people who got this item with the glitch still own the item today.
And I think this is pretty poorly worded, but I believe what they're trying to say is that a code could get used more than once. So hundreds of people were getting the longsword from the same code. And a quick eBay history search reveals that the last one of these sold for $500. Next up, we have the gold balloons. This one was released in April of 2021. There's apparently 450 copies in existence.
I don't have any of these in my possession to show you, and I wasn't able to find any history on eBay of anyone selling any, but I was able to find a Twitter post of an employee that was giving a set of these balloons away. So you can see what's going on. see what the token looks like assuming that is the real deal last up we have the god like a block start chain there is supposedly 500 copies of these redeemed on Roblox and this item came out in January of 2020 now I wasn't able to actually find any history on the internet or eBay that these actually exist you can see in the avatar shop that is listed as one of these employee admin codes Thanks, Gaines. Well, folks, that's all we got for you today. Hopefully you enjoyed it, and we'll see you next time.
