Hector's Guide to Everkeep Extreme - Final Fantasy 14 Dawn Trail

Pre-Fight Preparations

  • Assign Light Parties: Important for later mechanics.
  • Partners and Positions:
    • Commonly healers with ranged DPS, tanks with melees.
    • Need an order from top to bottom in positions.

Fight Mechanics

Initial Phase

  3. Forward Half/Backward Half Mechanics:
    • Identify glowing sword to determine the safe side.
    • Forward Half: Go on the glowing sword side.
    • Backward Half: Avoid the glowing sword side.
  4. Regicidal Rage:
    • Two tank busters; tanks must separate.
    • Tanks should dodge line AOEs.

Dawn of an Age Transition

  1. Platform Changes:
    • Four copies of the main platform spawn.
    • Sword patterns appear; identify and dodge.
  2. Volok and Sink Mechanics:
    • Identify safe spots on the platform before committing.
    • Half/full cleave mechanics; find a safe tile.

Greater Gateway

  1. Portals and Forge Track:
    • Swords interact with portals and tethers.
