have gotten to the point of feeling like I don't think I can look at my phone one more second then this video is for you cuz today in this video I'm going to be giving you not one not two but 100 creative things to do creative hobbies to add to your life so that you can enter your girl era and just do more creative things in your free time make sure you save this video and come back to it things something that would be important to add to your life even though anything in this video can be done with other people it is also so so important to just build your own relationship with yourself I feel like one of the most important things is to learn how to enjoy spending time on your own spending time on your own doesn't need to mean reverting to sitting on your phone and scrolling on Tik Tok for hours and hours I used to be someone who would be so upset on the weekends if I didn't have a social plan I would just feel a ton of angst around not being invited places and stuff like that didn't start to have more inner peace I guess start really enjoying my life until I figured out how to spend more time alone and hobbies specifically creative Hobbies was optimal for that and a little disclaimer before you jump into any of these things is to completely let go of any expectation of perfection that you're putting on yourself I feel like so many of us especially with creative things kind of grw up in like art classes as kids where they would be like there are the good art kids and then there are the ones who aren't creative either are or you aren't and I just want to say that is false first of all I don't even think that that's something that can really be judged if the idea of not being gred it at first or gred it even ever is what's holding you back from even trying I think it's so important to kind of step out of your comfort zone a little bit and be okay with that process of maybe not being amazing at something especially in the beginning it's a really good like just self-growth skill to push through that feeling learn how to kind of laugh at yourself along the way and also just remember it's not that serious it's supposed to be fun it's supposed to be something that brings you Joy you don't have to put it online you don't have to sell it you don't have to make money off of it it's something that's just for you to improve your own life it's for you it's for fun and that is seriously all that matters so without further Ado sit back get a snack because we have a lot to go through okay so this is going to be a mix of like very specific crafts and kind of like more in general Hobbies the first idea I have is these really adorable Calico Critter keychains I made a bunch of these for the holidays for my friends they're so easy all you need is a Calico Critter you could use anything really you basically have to unfortunately give them like a little bit of a labotomy me um but it's okay it's going to turn out cute so just don't let that rattle you too much you can find these little screw hook things at any craft store in the jewelry section you screw it in and then you just attach a little keychain to it and it is literally so cute phone cases Decorating phone cases there are literally so many cute ways to do this that I've seen you could simply do like a really cute collage with just some modge podge and stuff on a case that you get or like resin or something and sink objects in that will dry crochet there are so many things that you can crochet crochet these little like hair bows to put in your hair you could crochet clothing you could crochet a bag bone case or glasses case also knitting knitting is one of those things that I feel like is very much like a very lifelong skill you could start off with really easy things like scarfs or some cute little mittens but I really want to get so good at knitting that I could knit like a sweater how beautiful are these I think that would just be like amazing and I think it's cool that you can very much like progress with your knitting that can really become this big lifelong hobby you might have heard of this like air dry clay I've seen people make little match boxes or little like match holders it air dries which is really cool it's kind of like grownup Play-Doh and I'm a fan of that I really want to make these little magnets and they are just so cute I feel like learning to make your own clothes is something that's really intimidating I can do it you can do it things that you could hando are these really adorable shirts these these are literally so cute basically all you have to do is cut out like shapes whatever type of shapes you want you could do little words and then you just sew it onto a shirt you can add ribbons to your clothes it's like pinning a little ribbon in place and then just sewing it on your clothes how you want hand sewn you can hand so little patches on your clothes or onto bags I love putting different like lace Trims on my clothes kind of dip your toe into sewing when you're first starting sewing I think a really great way to kind of just figure out how things work and get more comfortable with the idea of it is just to start with some Thrift flips so start maybe altering some clothes that you already have turning clothes into slightly different clothes additionally almost anything you want to sew will have a pattern for it that you can print out at home on like Etsy and stuff and a lot of them are really inexpensive like I just bought a couple patterns and I don't think one was over $5 some really easy first projects you could do are tote bag this is probably number one the easiest thing that you could start with cuz it's literally just a rectangle you could probably even figure it out yourself without a pattern these adorable makeup bags these are on my list to do same with pencil cases something I really want to sew are these really pretty book covers these scrunchies I think would be pretty simple you might even be able to hand sew these same thing with headbands or these like coin purses you can get these gorgeous like vintage handkerchiefs at literally any thrift store antique store I have started like collecting a bunch that I'm waiting I just want to get like a couple more and then I definitely want to sew some of these really pretty little like handkerchief curtains I just think they're gorgeous you can sew airpod cases gift or jewelry pouches you can even sew pillows and so many different designs these adorable car wheel covers eye masks or little hanging ornaments with sewing it's one of those things where I think like you really just have to go for it because you going to literally learn the most just from running into problems don't even feel like you have to wait that long before you start kind of jumping into trying to make some clothes I have some more like sewing quilting stuff coming up but let's move on from sewing for a second baking these pastries these cakes how pretty are these I definitely want to get better at baking I think that'd be so fun any type of like wath my mom is so artistic one thing that we love to do together is make waths I'm going over this week to make a flowery like summery wreath charm bracelets whenever I go to thrift stores or antique stores I always make sure to look like the Vintage charms and I've just been collecting a bunch and eventually I want to put them all like on a little bracelet I also think this would be a really cute thing to do with your friends and maybe like each year you guys can add a different charm together button bracelets or like button necklaces are so cool you could also like collect like vintage charm and put them on necklaces I think these are so cool you could try a pottery class you could even do like a pottery throwing class pottery wheel like so people absolutely fall in love with this and it could totally just become this like big hobby that's a part of your life similarly but more of like a fun like onetime thing would be to go to like a Color Me Mine studio if you have one in your area they have all the Ceramics already like pre-made and then you can paint them paint on Vintage paintings okay this one sounds crazy and I don't mean ruin a vintage painting but if there's little cute things that you could add to something that you find at the thrift store the antique store that would be so cute and is a kind of fun way to personalize something for your space I got this idea because I've seen these ones for like Halloween and for the fall which I just think are so cute and I'm dying to do this here I'm such a fall girl I literally have fall in the brain right now it's taking all of my might not to begin watching gimore girls again these like really cool personalized collage art pieces basically the idea is kind of like scrapbooking but as an art piece if you're doing this as a gift for somebody you could like personalize some pictures that you guys have together you could write a little letter to them and pretty handwriting oh another idea with this is using books from your childhood for example I have I have this Angelina Ballerina book this was like my favorite book growing up a lot of books I feel like especially ones that we grew up with just have literally the most beautiful illustrations like doing something with these pictures making like an art piece out of them I think could be really cool taking these out and framing them as is and that leads me of course to scrapbooking I feel like that's a huge hobby for some people formal journaling writing these really beautiful pages I think that is an art in and of itself but also junk journaling which is basically where you have a journal but it's filled with like literally whatever from journal entries to lists collages movie tickets little momentos I want my journal to literally be packed with like fabrics and photographs and tickets like sticking out of it embroidery the Lost Art whenever I think of embroidery it reminds me of Felicity the American girl um and how she hated embroidery but personally I think it'd be a fun idea oh and this is also your PSA to look at thrift stores in their craft area recently I actually got a embroidery hoop which I'm really excited to start using kind of create a fun thing to do and frame are little like fabric collages and I think that'd be a really cute way to spce up your space quilting I actually fell in love with quilting this year quilting is another one of those things that looks insane it looks absolutely unapplicable to our lives it's actually very therapeutic and a lot less hard than you would think I started my quilting Journey this year by doing one of these oven mitts which was so fun literally had so much fun making it and it was not that hard um basically all you need is your fabric cut out into the shape and then you're basically making a sandwich with your Fabric and the quilting like material grab your ruler and make very straight lines in like a crisscross Direction you sew across those lines just to basically form it all together from there you can cut out the shape of whatever it is and move on with it as if it's just a piece of fabric and from there I ended up quilting some bags that I gave to my friends some other things that could be quilted are those makeup bags again for the holidays this year I made my dad a quilted laptop case which is cool because it's protected you could also do these little iPod cases glasses cases pencil cases airpod cases these Hot Plate pads and even clothing you could take it one step further and even literally make a quilt you could start off with something really simple and just cut out really even squares a bunch of them in different Fabrics you could use scrap Fabrics once you have as many squares as you want to make your quilt however big you want you sew like different rows together and then you quilt it just like you would have something smaller I think these painted cowb boots are the cutest summer project and you can also decorate headphones or airpod cases to be super personalized to you garlands SE these these really cute bow garlands I've seen other ones with just like little pieces of scrap fabric these little Altoid boxes and then you can kind of just use them as little storage for a lip gloss or some coins or whatever you want and give your room a makeover okay there's so many fun little things that you can do in your room to kind of refresh your space but in and of itself just refreshing your space is creative and fun to add like contact paper to your dresser you can wallpaper your space with like peeling stick wallpaper to make it kind of a little bit more affordable because that can be pretty expensive you could just do one small area area of your space like I just did the inside of my closet doors or if you want to get even really creative you could literally do it with wrapping paper you get some good double-sided tape and some cute wrapping paper you could totally kind of use that in a smaller area as peeling stick wall paper stencils as a society we do not talk about stencils enough if you're able to paint in your space you could totally add them to the wall to like your closet doors or you could add them on furniture these tiny wall paintings are so fun to take that one step further if you are able to paint in your space literally do a giant mural like if you are into painting a drawing why not or maybe just like a giant canvas have fun with that leads me to my next idea which is just painting in general there's so many different types of mediums of painting from acrylic painting which you could do on on canvases to watercolor painting I'm actually literally doing watercolors with my sister later today I'm really excited I love watercolor painting I think it's so fun and there's so many things you could make like bookmarks or you could add it to your scrapbooks or you could make little pictures to frame or put around your space or little cards to give to people mini paintings are so cute Sketchbook start sketching this is one of those things that I feel like was really ruined for a lot of people when they were told they were just bad at drawing as kids try to get your middle school art teacher out of your head and you have me now okay and I'm telling you you are amazing you are creative like you if you want to draw draw you totally can drawing is also like fashion sketching even if you don't actually sew you can still design make a mixtape for your friends photography my sister is really good at photography music you could take music lessons whether that be for your voice or maybe you want to learn an instrument there also so many online free vocal lessons like on YouTube as well as online YouTube videos helping you learn how to even play instruments and stuff it's literally never too late and just because you didn't do chorus or band in middle school doesn't mean that now in your late teens 20s 40s 7s even that you can't learn a new instrument or try to work on your singing voice like why not if you get really into that you can even write songs or create music trying out a dance class it's never too late okay I promise you it's never too late flower bouquets you could learn how to arrange flowers there is a whole art in that and that would be a really cool skill to have and would just be really fun I feel like as well to get into too same thing with gardening that's creative and really cool and could be a new hobby that you explore you can sew stuffed animals these are so cute hi guys okay it's the next day because the list got so long I had to take a snack break but we are continuing you can press flowers make flower crowns this is on my list I want to like make a proper flower crown also needle felting this is something I used to do all the time with my mom and it is literally so fun these seashell candles these really cute stamp jars experiment with your makeup and do new fun things learn how to do your own Nails you could totally like get super into this and learn different techniques these shell mirrors you could also do this with other things besides shells you could do buttons you could just do like fun trinkets these painted wooden Combs I actually just ordered a wooden comb because I really want to do this myself love notes literally write love notes and little letters to your friends to your family maybe longdistance people in your life these paper crowns how cute are these I feel like it's just like feeding the inner child within me but that would be like so fun for a birthday party make jam and then put them in really cute little jars you can paint candlesticks and it literally looks like something from Urban Outfitters but you made it yourself and it didn't cost you $45 you can make a letter box where you keep any letters or same thing with just like a memory box and just keeping like little momentos so many different types of bookmarks you can make whether it's beaded other types of painted ones also these like bow bookmarks are so cute and I really want to make some you can stain clothing with flowers they're like actually not that hard to make so I feel like that'd be a really cool project these like shell glasses I feel like I saw something that said these aren't actually like safe to drink out of so do your own research but I feel like they could still be a really cute like decoration or like a jewelry holder a field guide if in the woods in nature a lot I feel like this would be so cute is keeping a journal that when you're outside you kind of like doodle the plants that you see you write the things that you hear that you smell like your experience from the day you can make one of these book wall pages I feel like I see all over Pinterest hair clips in general and getting creative with like gluing fun things to hair clips like I think that's like 100 I hope that that gave you some really fun ideas I kind of just want to cancel everything else I had planned this week and just like craft so so we hope that inspires you to do some fun creative things not only just like when you find yourself scrolling on your phone and you're like I need to put it down but also just in general I feel like adding hobbies and just
