hey y' it's KY can anybody learn how to sing is it Talent or is it a skill that you can actually learn we're going to find out this mon out of all the hobbies in the world this has always been the number one skill that people want to learn but it's also one of the most nerve-wracking things to do we're going to see just how much I can improve my singing abilities in 30 days I'll be taking vocal lessons from one of the top vocal coaches here in career vocal coaches who have taught some of the biggest artists and Idols in the industry heads up most of the lessons all of the lessons and the song itself F be in Korean but if you go below you can find both English and Korean subtitles so let's get on with the challenge will be my main coach for this month the first lesson we went over the very Basics then she tested my range and we did basic [Music] [Music] exercises so had done a lesson with me before so I'll add a clip of what she said about my [Music] voice she's right I've always liked to write songs but I've never actually gotten proper vocal lesson and I just kind of sang at [Music] home there's a lot of exercises so it was getting tough remembering what I had [Music] done I did a whole bunch of other exercises that focused on breath or control still the very Basics sometimes I would mess up that exercise I asked her how the curriculum was different we've done a lot of exercises so it's time to pick the song we went back and forth a lot about what song to shoot surprisingly my teachers recommended an ay song You Can Tell here that I'm a little bit worried ay is one of the most famous singers here in Korea she's known for her very high notes and Powerful voice I'm not really sure if I can do an a song but both the teachers have told me that I should try to go for it so we're going to go for it on day 10 I was headed off to my next lesson I now I'm headed to my next lesson today the first day we're working on the actual song I don't know how it's going to go she was surprised about the notes I which here we're using the C [Music] I wasn't really sure what to look for so it's basically just copying up the teachers in addition to lessons I was practicing every single day I noticed it was definitely harder to sing when I went up and pitched [Music] this would be the first time I sang the song in front of the [Music] teacher not a bad start but I had some things I had to work on WE dove into the [Music] details it was interesting I was understanding the details and hearing more of it for instance this version of singing sounds a little bit Nas while this version is placed a little bit more in front and is less nasal I'm able to discern for myself now big difference between the two that I just sang and that's something that I didn't realize it was like a whole new world had opened up for my ears toil but hearing and being able to execute those techniques is a totally different thing that's where SE teacher was so helpful she helped me execute those techniques I was [Music] hearing follow me on Instagram for some fun BTS some days my voice just wouldn't come out properly it was especially hard to improve my VI in such a short time frame nope [Music] sneak peek of the next video as you can see singer requires a ton of concentration and I was getting a little tired for a change of pace on this day I went somewhere else today I'm headed off to something a little different I've been practicing a lot so to blow up some stress I will be going to a coin there's a lot of coin karaoke rooms where you pay a small fee to sing from a list of a whole bunch of songs it was my first time visiting one and I didn't know what to expect I'm not going to be making a sense from this video so I can play whatever I want really not thinking about Pitch just having fun [Music] here that was really fun felt good to blow I was reviewing everywhere I went even on the Bus the song was getting better but the high notes were definitely still hard so we worked on those interestingly I thought the hardest part of the challenge was going to be the high notes but it wouldn't be a 30d challenge if there weren't any surprises the true hardest part of the challenge is pronunciation in the last lesson we hyper focused on the pronunciation nope I'm Korean I'm fluent in the language but definitely still have a little bit of an American [Music] accent sad sad we tried to drill this out and I was having a hard time some concerns started to grow pronunciation is hard it's been a little bit of a handicap I put a lot of effort into memorizing and implementing details I'm just worried that by me focusing on pronunciation in this last part I'll forget to do all the techniques and the things that I've worked so hard on they'll just like disappear cuz I'm focusing on this one thing putting some of my concerns behind in the last half of the challenge I went to a couple concerts and I was invited to by so in the concert she did backing vocals and it was cool to see her the second concert I went to was the gmas this is the first time the gmas were held in 3 years due to co there are also some big Award winners there OG's like ton this guy that won like three different Awards BTS JK they're two cools to show up a whole bunch of artists performed some that I knew and some that I did not and it was pretty cool to see the sets for my first K-pop concert it was a good experience [Music] it is midnight and I am finally home it was cool to see everybody perform and win the awards they probably practice a lot for their performances so it's my turn to continue practicing nearing the end of the challenge my teacher for some tips with her encouragement the lessons were finally over seill has done an amazing job and I've just been trying to keep up I've worked hard for this past month and the hope is that I don't get nervous and just mess it all up in the recording I want to show what I [Music] accomplished [Music] break down I'm break I'm breaking down my [Music] memory [Music] [Music] with that recording process was over [Music] it's about to fall off we I'm [Music] sorry [Music] yeah she so they all disappear Without a Trace M Su UPS away my last favor I breaking down moon on let go how do may be to I'm breaking down keyos so get had inside my [Music] [Music] memory it's [Music] my last fav I break King down Moon let [Music] go I'm breaking down K so get and St my memory [Music] I'm breaking down get sh any who such a lady I'm breaking down so yes inside my [Music] memory [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] for [Music] [Music] for [Music] [Music] for [Music] I greatly second thought seil has been an amazing teacher for this past month she also made it very fun and she was kind during our lessons pushing me to my limits but but also making sure was enjoyable during the way I added my own [Music] thoughts [Music] at this point I was dying [Music] embarass in a lot of ways with that the recap was over unlike my other physical challenges this one was mentally Tau having the mental diligence to practice every single day it's not easy could have been more tough but I wanted to give another shout out to the people and teachers that I worked with this they kept up with my progress they cared about my learning and as you can see from the video I had a really fun time working with them if you want to take online vocal lessons from some top instructors from Korea definitely check them out in the description box below so to go back to the question can anybody learn how to sing my answer
