ever since Crystal P was added to the game all the way back in the earlier data 1.9 it has been Minecraft's most prominent game mod and earned their reputation for being the best in this video we'll talk about the history of Crystal PVP in this video we'll be discussing how cpvp has evolved in the Minecraft's most skilled game mode part one 2b2 2016 early PVP on 2b2 is really unmatured as most players don't have sufficient gear for actual combat and proper fights however this soon would change the skilled fighters of this era mostly used hacks like velocity breach and beop they mostly focused on sore PVP as it was the most prominent in the entire era however even in these early days of Crystal PVP we can see something really interesting in FM's hot bar he possesses end crystals but how did we get here well the story event Crystal starts on November 11 2016 a very famous dupe ends up going viral on this very day this was called the 11-11 dupe and it allowed players to get infinite armor weapons and end crystals however at the time nobody realized its potential as end crystals were only used as glorified overwhel bed bombing and they were only suicidal bombs however the problem would be fixed on the November 20 2016 when players tried to log on to 2b2 to on this day it took a lot longer and they noticed something else now when they Tred to log on it said they needed 1.11 and withs you have inut one got used however there totems were extremely rare it took just to together a few March 2017 just a mere 4 months after the original update we would see another massive dup by the barendo since 1.11 added shulka boxes now we could dup entire shulka boxes of totems at once as you can expect the influx of totems led to Absolute chaos now the server's main PVP mode instantly transition to end Crystal PVP as it was a lot harder and much easier to kill players even with their insane hacks part two Purity vanilla I'd like to mention that in the era before this between the years 2018 and 2020 Crystal PVP mostly relied on a few items like bows swords and tipped arrows most of what we see as modern cpvp can be congratulated to a player in Michael cycle 00 for inventing most of these basic tactics that we know today so back to the topic well in 2019 a player by the name of penguin created a very famous server known as Purity vanilla Purity was a no hack server that used usually had around 40 players at its peak time and even in a few months it gained a maximum of over 10,000 individual joints yeah but how did this affect Crystal PVP well Purity vanilla allowed most of the best Crystal PBS of time to get together to start team fights in the era of Defcon versus CR which spawned in some of the best CR creators as well as many of the best PPS that we know today including Marlo and Theo 44 content creators include rasplin go and even dry they also gave rise to one of Minecraft's best pvps of all time known as it real mate interestingly along this era of change we can see many mechanics like daps slow fall arrows and anchors actually being used more common still along this time basic Crystal PV methods remained really mushy and kits had a high variation some players choosing to use health potions others choosing to use totems and Med other is trying to use bows and sols in Crystal PVP we can see that thanks to the randomized netherite KB of early 1.6.5 Crystal PB methods still remained extremely slow around the end of 2021 popular creators rasplin and Goldfield fix their content primarily on crystal PP based on practice servers around this era servers like PP Legacy would start integrating Crystal PP as a form of dueling and many other the guides would soon spiral tube including guides on newly added items like respawn anchors soon after the start of the New Year in February 28th 2022 Minecraft would add a new change in the form of the 1.8.2 update now netherite swords which had kb1 would deal a fixed amount of KB thus sending the phas a randomized knockback that had dominated the past years instantly Crystal PP began to improve craz metas and methods were being released every week Crystal p montages got faster and faster until they were literally at light speed however this new system gave the old gen a massive advantage over newer players as the old gens were already used to equalize KB that had been dominating pre 1.6.5 versions they had a much easier time with this new update as a result many new players including High tier 3s were demoted simply because they were boosted during this rign December 7 2022 we will get to see yet another massive change in Crystal PVP that seemed almost heartbreaking for the players in the community in 1.9.3 N crystals did significantly less damage leading the players easily bypassing it by eating gaples for saturation however thankfully this was fixed in the next update it would be a really nice time in between to mention how some players including it real me mining boom booy go Marlo and Theo 404 really shaped the course of through this period by integrating new strategies ideas and Concepts from other game modes as well as creating them to make crystal PVP the truly hard game mode that it is March 14th 2023 just over one year ago the 1.9.4 update was released which Remains the last relevant update to Crystal PVP in the 1.9.4 update we experienced several changes including the reversal of 1.9.3 explosion damage restoring it to the previous versions We also saw several new features like Shields blocking explosion damage which was a very nice way to combat the increasing speed of Crystal PVP after this update the speed slowed significantly allowing players to take a breather in between a game even though the adding of shields was really controversial update to the crystal P Community a lot of players ended up hating it because it added new items including axes and shields however the next thing would be even more controversial in 1.9.4 Blast armor reduced knockback significantly this meant that it was a lot easier to keep players in the crystal PP combo as they had less chance of flying out or using their shield with ease ever since 1.9.4 Minecraft has remained relatively silent in producing updates that have been effective to Crystal PP however in the latest one or 1.21 update we can see that there have been new items like the mace and wind charges both of which could prove extremely gamechanging Crystal PP personally I have a hypothesis that mes will be integrated as Crystal PVP to make crystal PVP even more
