Hector's Guide to the Fight: Arcadian M3s

Overview

  • Week one strategies presented for the fight Arcadian M3s.
  • Note that better strategies may emerge.

Clock Spots and Partner Coordination

  • Recommended to use standard clock spots for partners.
  • Color-coded strategy:
    • Tanks & Healers rotate counter-clockwise.
    • Supports can rotate clockwise if preferred.
  • Change partners for specific mechanics:
    • Tanks with Melees, Healers with Ranged.
    • Adjust spread positions as needed.

Fight Mechanics Breakdown

Initial Mechanics

  1. Bural Impact
    • RAID-wide attack hitting four times.
  2. Knuckle Sandwich
    • Targets top player in Agro with a shared tank buster, hits four times.
  3. Octop Ariat/Quadruple Ariat
    • Octop Ariat: Spread at the end.
    • Quadruple Ariat: Stay in pairs.
    • Positioning involves being out of the boss with a slight distance.

Dive Mechanics

  • Random Dive Mechanics:
    • Octob Boom: Spread at the end.
    • Quadra Boom: Pair at the end.
    • Boss faces a random Cardinal, players must position accordingly.

Following Mechanics

  1. Brutal Impact
    • Followed by multiple hit mechanics, preposition for the next mechanic.
  2. Barbarous Barrage
    • Six towers spawn; resolve by rotating into the nearest four-person tower.
    • Knockback mechanics involved with positioning.
  3. Murderous Mist
    • Cleave attack requiring positioning behind the boss.
    • Can use knockback immunity for some mechanics.

Doping Draft Phase

  • Boss gains a buff (dangerously doped), mechanics are reversed.
  • Players must adapt to reversed mechanics:
    • Lariat dynamics adjust from out to in based on fiery arm effects.

Chain Deathmatch Mechanic

  • Clones spawn, players must cleanse their chains by getting hit by the respective clone.
  • Positioning is crucial for dodging attacks from both clones and the boss.

Bomb Mechanics

  • Final Fuse: Players must avoid overlapping bomb areas.
  • Fuse Field: Players get short/long fuses; strategic positioning required.
  • Cleansing sparks requires coordination based on roles.

Endgame Mechanics

  • Fuses of Fury
    • Same bomb patterns as before, requiring players to dodge effectively.
  • Random Lariat
    • Movement according to mechanics: either in pairs or spread.
  • Brutal Impact
    • Significant hit counts requiring mitigation.

Final Phase

  • Last mechanics will involve the boss becoming untargetable if not defeated:
    • Must maneuver to the edge of the arena.
    • Boss performs a final attack leading to a defeat condition.

Conclusion

  • Emphasis on precise execution and communication among the team.
  • Strategy adaptability is key to overcoming the fight mechanics.
