you selected for yourself that you would shepherd and you promised him that land and all of his descendants that you are keeping to this day your promise is still valid and father you are the one who has done mighty wonders and acts and signs splendorous things in Egypt whenever Abraham's descendants went into slavery but Father you brought them out with an outstretched arm and Father you fed them in the wilderness mana from heaven w gave them water from a rock you delivered all the enemies into their hands both in Egypt and in the wilderness and father you brought them into their land as they crossed the Jordan doing what you promised your son your servant Abraham that you they would come into their inheritance they came in to homes they did not build they came into sisters they did not father all of us coming together as one people as one voice with one heart and one mind to worship you creator of all heaven and earth the one who stretched out the heavens like a curtain the one who was and is and is to come the great I am we worship you and glorify you we thank you for your loving kindness and mercy because Father it is painted in the heavens it is painted in the heavens that you're a shepherd it's painted in the heavens that you were born of a virgin it's painted in the heavens that you're of the lion of the tribe of Judah it's painted in the heavens that you are a great king we thank you Father that your word both every testimony in heaven and below testifies to who you are and also your mercy and grace your loving kindness and the people that you've called to yourself as this song says we return to you with all of our heart we glorify you and we praise you and thank you for your son that you sent Yeshua to die that would be brought back into covenant relationship that all of the death and all that was against us has been erased because of the blood of the lamb we thank you we glorify you master because it was your great plan we thank you so much in Yahushua's name amen we want to invite those of you who have needs to come to the area where they were dancing we want to follow what James chapter 5 says james chapter 5 says "Is anyone among you sick you must call for the elders of the assembly they are to pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of Yahweh the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick yahwa will raise him up and if he has committed sins they will be forgiven him therefore confess your sins to one another pray for one another so you may be healed." the effect of prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much so the men are going around and they're putting a tab on the forehead well they're putting a oil in that palm and everybody's putting a tab on their forehead we get this from Ezekiel chapter 9 verse 4 and 6 hallelujah hallelujah of course the key thing about James 5 is the repentance and so we want to be sure that we repent of all that would be standing between us and the creator that would inhibit these prayers so let's Did you get uh Kurt outside okay so let's come before a merciful God and let's bring our repentance before him father we come to you we admit that we've sinned committed iniquity who transgressed before you walked our way and not your way broke the commandments turn our back on them and as you said in Leviticus 26 we walked contrary with you and you walk contrary with us but Father we only have open shame but you are righteous in all that you've done because you're just you are a just God and Father because the the law demanded justice against our iniquity against our sin against our transgressions it had to be satisfied and you sent the lamb to satisfy it you brought justice through the lamb of God through your son that we would have life everlasting through him that those decrees that stood against us the law the decrees within the law that was against us they were abolished through the death of the one who wrote it so we thank you we accept your offering of Messiah on our behalf we acknowledge the sins iniquities and transgressions of our forefathers and we ask you cleanse us sanctify us from all of our impurity and uncleanness by the blood of the lamb and we ask this in Yeshua's name amen amen father Yahwa our mighty king the mighty one of Israel you are our rock our fortress father in times of need Father you are there for us you protect and guide and lead us Father in troubled times Father through these days Father where we're seeing the world come apart Father that only you can mend this world Father and you bring us peace in times of trouble Father we're so thankful that you are a God of peace Father but you are a mighty warrior Father you will you will have your day of recompense Father we thank you so much that you are there for us through through the good through the bad Father through all times Father we know that we can always come before you depend on you Father and that you will always Father be there for us you will always be there for your people Israel Father father we're so thankful Father that we we can know this Father in our deep in our hearts Father that you are always there for us Father that you will not abandon us Father father we put our faith and our hope in you Father through your son Yeshua father we're so thankful for what Yeshua has done for us father that he took our place Father died on the cross Father shedding his blood Father that we may have life eternal with you Father and the hope of salvation and we we thank you so much for this Father but Father we just lift up all the prayers and requests that are on people's hearts today Father everything that people are are just pondering in their hearts and their spirits Father the things that beset us in this day and age that we live in Father and just the world Father that beats us down can beat us down so much Father father I pray for all these requests on people's hearts and minds Father we lift them up to you Father father we say a special prayer for Andrew and for uh Cecilia father people who are uh ill and and hurting in our congregation Father Father we lift up Crystal to you Father father who has such a great spirit about her Father even though she is beset by physical impairments Father we just thank you so much for her and for Jerry and just how much they mean to this congregation Father and father I just pray for all who are listening today father up in Canada down in uh Airford Father throughout this this nation Father people who listen in from other states and around the world even Father Father I just lift up and ask a blessing for each and everyone who is listening today watching online Father wherever they may be Father and for those of us in our congregation Father even those uh uh we don't always see a lot here Father i just lift them up to you Father and pray just that you would bless their lives Father father because we need you in our lives Father desperately Father we know that without you we are nothing Father and we're just so thankful Father that you have made a way for each and every one of us Father father I pray that we will just come to see more and more each day Father that our faith individually and as a congregation will grow Father and the people will see the light in this congregation Father and I thank you so much for for all everyone who who leads in the congregation for Mark and Paulie for Pat for John father I ask you lift them up bless them i thank you so much for all these men and women Father and Father we just ask for a blessing upon living Messiah father just a part of your chosen people father I pray that we can continue continue to do our part in this great battle as we fight the evils of this world father through our through our Messiah Yeshua we pray all these things amen amen we would like to invite the children to come those kids uh come to get under the to the men get the to out we have a song to sing called Guin Matove thank you and as they get the to lead out we sing the king [Music] i the king la [Music] behold how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together behold how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity la [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] yahwa Abba father I just pray over all these kids here today at Lim Messiah and maybe watching online just kids of living Messiah in general uh please guide them towards you and your son please give them a thirst for your word and help us to raise them up in the way that they should go and we pray for uh you know grace and mercy over them your protection and uh lead them to peace and safety but really it's about knowing you and knowing your son so I just ask that especially for them today that you would make that so in Yeshua's name we pray amen amen hallelujah okay as everyone makes their way back to their seats we have another song to sing just a little test one two one two yes thank you so this song we're going to sing is O say shalom may he who makes peace in his heights make peace upon us and upon all Israel and it goes like this oh say shalom [Music] be [Music] shalom they are Israel amen oh [Music] sh [Music] Israel amen y say shalom y say sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh sh shalom shalom my ve is say shalom y say shalom shalom my ve is say shalom y say shalom shalom v is say shalom y say shalom shalom [Music] Isel now we get to face Jerusalem and say the shama first in Hebrew and then in English shama Israel yahu Elohu [Music] yahu Le here o Israel yahwa is our God yahwa is one blessed is the name of his glorious kingdom for all eternity and now the vaha which means you shall love you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your resources let these matters that I command you today be upon your heart teach them thoroughly to your children and speak of them while you sit in your home when you walk on the way when you retire and when you arise bind them as a sign upon your arm and let them be to fill in between your eyes and write them on the doorposts of your house and upon your gates and you shall love your neighbor as yourself we say this in the name of our master and King Yeshua Amain and Amain you may be seated we have the psalms that are up and if we can have our two readers to come up please bless Yahwa oh my being oh Yahwa my Elohim you have been very great you have put on excellency and splendor covering yourself with light as with a garment stretching out the heavens like a curtain who is laying the beams of his upper rooms in the waters who is making thick clouds his chariot who is walking on the wings of the wind making his messengers the wind his servants a flame of fire he established the earth on its foundation so that it would not totter forever you covered it with the deep as with a garment the waters stood above the mountain my son if you accept my words and treasure up my commands with you so that you make your ear attend to wisdom incline your heart to understanding for if you cry of for discernment for discernment lift up your voice for understanding if you seek her as silver and search for her as hidden treasures then you would know would understand the fear of Yahwh and find the knowledge of Elohim for Yeshua gives wisdom but his mouth but of his mouth come knowledge and understanding and he treasures up stabil stability for the straight a shield to those walking blamelessly [Applause] yes so we have a praise report that we want to talk about so wonderful thing that God does go ahead Dane hi everybody um a couple of months ago in November I got in a car accident somebody came into my lane and hit my car the police said they couldn't do anything about it because there wasn't enough damage to the car um so uh we weren't going to do anything about it till like a couple months later we got into an accident again got rear ended and that was their fault and we took it into the body shop to get fixed so I ended up having the other one fixed at the same time but I was going to have to pay the deductible that was $1,000 which was a lot of money so we weren't going to do it but we decided that we needed to step out in faith and to give it to God cuz he's the one that gives us all the money that we have in the first place amen so um we stepped out and we paid and we knew we prayed to him first and told him that he knew the situation and if it was his will not for us to have to pay then we wouldn't have to but if so then so be it and we'd still praise him anyways so we got our car back repaired and everything we already paid and last this last Thursday I got a call from the collision center uh saying that they were going to refund our $1,000 because USAA found us not liable and the only way that could have been is be from God because Hallelujah because I had no evidence whatsoever saying that it wasn't my fault praise the King hallelujah amen and amen you got to love praise reports like that all right so we want to say hello to our online family uh find on our website a PDF button you can download all of the teaching and everything that uh you are seeing today you'll find there we are in Genesis chapter 25 1-18 but the message is going to be about the husband that takes his wife back based on Romans chapter 7 alonso take it away genesis 25 beerishe 25 1-18 betes Genesis 25 vers 1 through 18 and Abraham took another wife whose name was Catura and she bore him Zimron and Yukshan and Midan and Midyan and Yishbach and Shuah and Yan brought forth Sheba and Dan and the sons of Ddan was Asharim and Leushim and Leumim and the sons of Midion were Eph and Epher and Hanok and Abida and Elada all these were the children of Catura now Abraham gave all that he had to Yeitshack but to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham had Abraham gave gifts while he was still living and sent them away from his son Yehach eastward to the land of the east and these are all the years of Abraham's life which he lived 175 years and Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old aged and satisfied and was gathered to his people and his sons Yach and Yishim buried him in the cave of Meccalah which is before Mamray in the field of Ephron son of Sor the Hitittite the field which Abraham purchased from the sons of Heth there Abraham was buried with Sarah his wife and it came to be after the death of Abraham that Elohim Barack his son Yeitshak and Yishach dwelt at Beer laoy and this is the genealogy of Ishmael Abraham's son whom Hagar the Mitzite Sharah's female servant bore to Abraham and these were the names of the sons of Ishmael by their names according to the generations the firstborn of Ishmael and Boyov then Khadar and Aiel and Mibam and Mishma and Duma and Masah Hadad and Tim Yetur Nafish and Kaduma these were the sons of Ishmael and these were their names by their towns and their settlements 12 chiefs according to their tribes these were the years of the life of 137 years and he breathed his last and died and was gathered to his people and they dwelt from Havila as far as Shure which is east of Mitzraim as you go toward Ashure he settled before all his brothers father we thank you for the reading of your word open our hearts our eyes our ears father let our minds focus in and be attentive to the things that you want to teach us today we thank you Father for your revelation that you give to each of us in this community and those in the uh satellite locations you've opened our minds you've given us insight to things and Father we learn from each other as we thank you for this may you be glorified and magnified in Yeshua's name amen welcome everybody online we're glad that you're joining us and everyone here so we're going to talk about u Abraham we're going to talk about Cura and some of these sons and all the things that have been happening here but we're also going to really dig into a little bit in the prophet portion but mainly we're going to be talking and ending with what our New Testament portion talks about in Romans chapter 7 and so let's begin uh 25:1 says Abraham took another wife now just remind you remember we've talked about this that whenever you see the word wife sometimes the word is isha which means woman and sometimes the word is ishto and it has a tav in the word whereas isha does not have the tav in it and I've proposed to you guys over the years that this tav means the covenant wife because it's only evident in one wife and even if there's many that are present It's always evident that only one woman has this isto word given to her the other women like Hagar was never called Ishto she was only called Isha okay so just Isa means woman right so Abraham takes another wife this isn't covenant this is a non-venant woman her name was Coutura and she bears these children so over 40 years earlier the patriarch had judged himself to be too old to sire children 40 years ago he's too old to bear kids all of a sudden he's got he's got a whole new understanding you saw how many kids here uh talked about so what do you I just want to ask you why why do you think Abraham is bearing more kids any thoughts let me finish reading this raise your hand as you think u it is hardly likely that he had six sons after the age of 140 hence the present report does not relate to a time subsequent to Sarah's death and Isaac's marriage but to many years before that is why verse 6 like 1 Chronicles 1:32 referred to Coutura as a concubine not a wife so they're proposing that this was going on much earlier but if he's having other children whether it's earlier say it's 20 years after he doubted why do you think he's doing that what's what's a thought what what do you think's in Abraham's mind what's in his head any thoughts i'll give you a possibility i mean we're just project you know we're just speculating yes so what if he heard Aba say your descendants are going to be as numerous as the stars and the sky the sand of the sea what yes go your answer oh you were going to say the same thing okay better get busy no so if you see let's say this was his thought he hasn't learned from his other lesson that it's not by his strength it's not by what he does he doesn't see in the future that God's going to take a group and he's going to sew them to every nation on earth and they're going to be scattered and from those nations they're going to grow up to this immense number and God's going to pick a time when they are awakened to his Torah and then their identity and boom it's going to be no turning back i mean is there anybody here that could go back to what you knew before you came to Torah there's no there's no way right hand up in the back i think Abraham probably realized that after he had kids because it says um that he sent them away from Isaac like he sent them to the east um and he just gave them gifts whereas Isaac had everything and he was like I don't want anybody interfering with what Yahweh has said and that's question number two why did he send the sons away go ahead um so from what I remember was coutur given to him by was it Pharaoh i I'm I'm not sure oh he wasn't no okay never mind then i was I was just gonna say that if it was if it was a wife that was given to him from someone else maybe it was to help um Joseph got a wife from the Pharaoh but that's who I'm thinking of never mind um so why did he why does he send these other sons like Ishmael why does he send them all to the east huh because they're not part because they're not part of the covenant they didn't God didn't say uh Isaac oh we're not going to go with Ishmael but anyone you have after Isaac they're part of it he didn't say that through your son Isaac him only and his descendants is the covenant coming with so it's not enough to just say you're a son of Abraham what you need to say is you're a son of Isaac and Jacob that's why you see us say a lot of times the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob not just God of Abraham because there's other sons that are sons of Abraham numerous numerous sons right it became a very a mega multitude as well you have questions comments raise your hand but to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts while he was still living and he sent them away from his son Isaac eastward to the land of east he gave them gifts he gave them stuff says "Here I've got this great Chevy Corvette that I haven't uh I haven't done anything with over the past imagine me like you what's what's that vehicle you're restoring what's it called again?" Toyota toyota Land Cruiser i've got this Land Cruiser i'm gonna give you a gift but you know there's some things I just can't give you right chris goes I'll take it so hand up here so he's given these gifts and you know what abraham is rich isn't he abraham's a wealthy guy he's got some gifts to give and I'm sure how many this question you're a son of Abraham you're not out of Isaac not part of Isaac how bummed would you be that you know that dad is leaving a there's gifts that are only going to Isaac and Isaac's getting a piece of land and you've got to be sent away this would be a real bum deal wouldn't it and so I wonder is this part of the resentment part of the issue that has continued to multiply and multiply to this day who had the mic yes go ahead so I was reading this and um it lists the names of the of his children that were born to um Kendra and I everything written in the scriptures is for a reason so I was I'm not sure why it was listed but to me I was thinking like man um you have all these other relatives that are out there that was sent away but they're like you were saying they're part of Abraham too abraham's children and but you know um Isaac and Jacob were promised inheritance but you know there's all these other people out there that should have at a much earlier time been brought to the light but they weren't instead you know the the people made all these rules you can't eat with the these other people you can't socialize them you can't eat with them you can't do all these different things with them so as they decided to separate themselves from Isaac as as it was done in physical distance that they created a distance spiritually from them out of maybe despising because of what was done who knows but you would think there would be some relatives go man what are they doing over there i mean I they're really blessed what a I want to get to know what's going on because this was a special son that our father Abraham had you would think but something root came in there that caused this and I I don't know if you were playing on the words there when you said relatives who were out there i mean they were I mean they might have been really out there you know so but they obviously started other religions other ideas other beliefs um that were in total contradiction of what Isaac and his descendants were doing and it's it's almost like some of you may have a relative that's out there a relative that's distant a relative that doesn't want anything to do with you and this is a big big this isn't just a few people like some of us have maybe a relative or two like that they had millions like that yeah a hand up in the back so I I just noticed and I and I looked it up but um Midian is one of his one of Coutura's sons right um is from you know the Midianites are are those people and so they must have Midian must have learned from his father right because his Jethro right which produced priests right yeah i mean Jethro obviously a priest okay 1 Chronicles 1:32 the sons of Coutura Abraham's concubine whom she bore were Zeon Yan Midan Midian Ishbach and Shua the sons of Jo son were Sheba and Dan so you can see in 1 Chronicles they're talking about but it calls Abraham's wife Coutura a concubine in 1 Chronicles 132 so she bears all these kids of the six names listed the first three have not been identified with any degree of confidence but they most likely refer to the people or o of oasis along the international trade routes the last three are well documented zimron may be the Arab tribe Zimmerani mentioned by Ply the Elder in 2379 CE joshan is otherwise unknown midan may be the variant of the place named Badana situated south of Timma which is mentioned in the annals of Tig Tigloth Pelazar 744 B.CE yes i have two thoughts before you go on much farther one was in this portion that Alfonso read it says that Abraham was buried next to his wife Sarah right identifying her as his wife and that was many years later even though he had a whole another family he was laid to rest next to his That's another point so do you think the sons of Coutura and the sons of Hagar might have been a little upset that father Abraham didn't want to be buried with their mother i mean these things happen right it's human beings i mean I mean I could see myself getting a little bit been out of shape about dad and leaving my mom like that and not wanting to be a part of mom and you know sent me away to the east this can cause issues right hold on Mark i want to add something else to that before you go too much farther so we were having a conversation with a friend of ours this week and I want to remind you of something he said to us so he said "A lot of times when I'm out and about I meet a street preacher on the corner." And one of the first questions they always want to ask me is "When you die do you know where you're going?" And he said 'I always upset them because my answer is always the same and it is it doesn't really matter to me that that is not my concern he said I'm concerned that I love the Lord and he's worthy of my service and he's worthy to be praised whatever decisions he makes for me that is for him to decide i just know that today I'm going to serve him with all of my heart i really And you know what that that takes agendas out of the way doesn't it because if we're really only concerned about serving him and doing what he said it gets it should get personal agendas out of the way and it gets that we're only serving him because we're going to get something in return yeah that there's a benefit to us that's right and I was thinking about that when you were reading the and your discussion about Abraham and his other sons being maybe having some you know bitter thoughts or some you know could or could not be but what about they were just being with that same attitude that it didn't matter what we got from you it didn't matter what you gave us what would the outcome have been today if they would have had that same attitude that it would not have mattered i'm going to honor you because you're my father and you're worthy of my honor it doesn't matter if I get anything because God made a promise he he established that these are my people and I am going to choose this person this family this group of people to be the light unto the nations and I'm going to send my word through them to be a light unto the nations whether they are obedient or not that's who I chose he also chose Isaac abraham Isaac Jacob he ch he cho he chooses this bloodline of Abraham Isaac Jacob to bring his promise and his covenant through this son so what if the other sons would have taken that same attitude to say it doesn't matter i serve a God that makes decisions and maybe they're fair or maybe they're not fair maybe they're right in my eyes or maybe they're not i can't be concerned about what I'm gonna just get a benefit of it and my benefit isn't the same as yours or it's not fair that I got this and you got that what about we just have the idea that he's worthy of our praises no matter what we get out of it and he decides what's going to be established and we're okay with that yes yes hallelujah you know that your your comment as I said takes away the personal agendas because uh oftentimes personal agendas the person has something to benefit for themselves and we got to get the things out of the way that we think are benefit to us and just serve yes so to add to what Paulie just said there's this YouTuber I watch and she she's in apologetics and she talks about all that but one of the scriptures that she brings up like regarding miracles is in Daniel when Radshack Mitch and Abednego when they were threaten they when they were thrown in the furnace it's like you know what the father can save us if he wants to if it's his so will that if he chooses not to I'm still not going to bow down to your idol and I'm still going to worship the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and we really have to approach it with that attitude of like Paulie said it's like regardless of what the father chooses to give me or not give me who am I going to serve or what he chooses to give people in the land currently that's his business isn't it yeah uh yes just to add to what Paulie was saying that um one of those sons obviously did appreciate what they did inherit and they appreciated what their their portion of the heritance was and that was um the Midianites because then Jethro comes along and takes Moses under his wing right so yeah at least a line out of them did yes without a doubt okay um Zimron may be the Arab tribe Zimmerani mentioned by Plenny the Elder jokan is otherwise unknown midan may be a variant of the place name Badana situated south of Teima which is mentioned in the annals of Tigath Pilzer i mentioned that the Midionites were traders in frankincense according to the testimony of Isaiah 60:6 they are the best known of for the entire list on the account of the varied history of relationships between them and Israel the red line is the frankincense trade route that you see on the map that's the frankincense and by the way the frankincense trade route goes right to Gaza right to Gaza ain't that interesting um their land lay along the territory of the Gulf of Akaba in northwest Arabia classical and Arabic sources still knew of a place named Madan in this region biblical texts show that the Midianites were really a confederation of five tribes and were dispersed over a wide area which included territory close to the borders of Egypt and the land of Israel genesis 37:25 and 28 Judges 8:24 indicate an affiliation with the Ishelites very interesting if you like history some some a little bit of uh knowledge on some of those things it helps ishbach is certainly the north Syrian tribe of uh Lasbuk mentioned in the Monolith inscription of Shalom Shalomassar three its ruler at the time was Bur Anate a name that betrays Aramaic influence the tribe is there included with pettyhittite and Aramean kingdoms of northern Syria southern Asia Minor and regions of the upper Euphrates shu is found in Kuniform texts as early as the 18th century B.C.E and it lays on the right bank of the middle Euphrates below the mouth of the river Habu Habur this very important international trade center may well have been the place of her origin of Job's friend Bildad the Shu height so you can see where some of these men have gone these sons have gone and spread out and what they have become and uh what territory they represent very good stuff verse five so Abraham gives all he has to Isaac the sons of the concubines he sends them away and so the preceding list naturally raises the question as to how Isaac's status might be affected by the existence of so many brothers we are therefore informed of three measures taken by the patriarch to remove any possible opposition to Isaac and ensure his son's undisputed succession first Isaac is formally declared to be the sole heir to all the father's effects in this period as opposed to the Torah's legislation of later age the father still exercises the right of absolute discretion in designated his own successor regardless of the order of birth of his sons second Abraham makes gifts to his other s sons while he's still alive the purpose and meaning of this are uncertain and depend upon the legal status of these offerings which hinges upon whether they are not or were not or were legitimate the situation may be illuminated by Humurabi's law which stipulates that if the sons of concubines are not formally legitimate legitimate legitimated by the father during his lifetime they may not share in the paternal estate now that's an interesting statement because how does our heavenly father legitimize the northern kingdom keep that in your mind as we move along based on what the Hammurabi law says assyrian law similarly provides that if a man does not formally give his concubine the status of a wife her sons only share in the estate if the father dies without leaving a son from the legal wife in the present case the gifts to the other sons would either be a gesture of generosity on the part of Abraham designed to secure their goodwill toward Isaac or in compensation for their surrender of future claims so you can see that in the day everything had a purpose abraham is going through a a list of things that he does because he must secure Isaac's position and to keep peace between the brothers this what any father would do right he want to want to keep peace between their children i know I know in my home keeping peace is a big deal how many of you like to keep peace in your home yes the Pharisees came and spread themselves out in the valley of Refim then David inquired of the Lord saying "Shall I go up against the Philistines will you give them into my hand?" By the way this is I didn't write it down will you give them into my hand and Yahweh said to David "Go up for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand." So David inquired of Yahweh as in Israel it was understood that human destinies were in God's hands so also throughout the ancient near east the gods were regarded as controlling human affairs thus before any major undertaking it was customary to consult the deity or deities before launching a military campa camp campaign the king of the hit Hittites for instance consulted his superiors the gods asking questions such as the following valley of Rafim that is of giants a broad and fertile plane which descends gradually from the central mountains towards the northwest it was the route by which they marched against Jerusalem the hole to which David went down into was some fortified place where he might oppose the progress of the invaders and where he signally defeated them when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel during the civil war between the house of Saul and David those restless neighbors had remained quiet spectators of the contest but now jealous of David seeing that there's a conflict between David and Saul they resolve to attack him before his government was fully established oh look at here i see an opportunity there's a little squabble in the house how many of h as either a child watching mom and dad squabble or as a parent squabbbling of senior children try to take advantage of a little bit bit of a disagreement within the home seen it been a part of it i can tell you that even as a a guard when me and another guard had differences of opinion on how something should be done I can tell you that ears were attentive people watching and they were looking for a moment to seize opportunity in whatever they could gain an advantage on of that moment and here we see the Philistine doing the same thing so I bring this up to tell you October 23rd or October 7th of 23 that's that's where the 23rd comes in the Gazins see an opportunity what was the opportunity you might say "What was it what's the opportunity?" Huh say again well that the concert is one thing but they have to act because they have heard remember they're there's they're jealous because they they realize that David's about to be invested david's about to take on a government and something in something that David is about to do is going to affect them immensely so what do the Gazes what does Hamas realize that's about to happen with Israel reder say again reder the red heer oh my gosh i heard they're about to sacrifice the red heer what does that mean well that means they're they're going to build a temple oh we we can't let that happen we got to do something about it you see that there's not There's always a reason there's always a reason so David came to Baal Perisim and defeated them there and he said "Yahwa has broken through my enemies before me like the breakthrough of waters." Therefore he named that place Baal Perisim they abandoned their idols there so David and his men carried them away as soon as the Philistines learned that David had been anointed they become concerned and go to search for him an unnecessary task if David had already occupied the formidable fortress of Zeon the valley of Rafim that is of giants a broad fertile plane which des which descends gradually from the central mountains towards the northwest it was the route by which they marched against Jerusalem and the hole to which David went down into was some fortified place where he might oppose the progress of the invaders and this location at Baal Perisim is uncertain suggestions include a site somewhere on the southern or western border of the valley of Refraim in the stronghold to which David descended in this verse it is the stronghold of the of Adulum or a site near to Jerusalem it is the stronghold it is the fortress of Zeon the stronghold and fortress of Zion by the way this was 2 Samuel 5:22 it's our prophet portion now the Philistines came up once again and spread themselves out in the valley of Rafaim when David inquired of the Lord he said "You shall not go directly up." God tells them "Circle around behind them and come at them uh in the front of the balsam trees and it shall be when you hear the sound of marching on the tops of the balsom trees then you shall act promptly for then Yahweh will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines then David did so just as Yahweh commanded him and struck down the Philistines from Geba as far as Gazar gazer is it important to seek the Almighty before you act it's important many of you would say "Boy it's it's been weeks it's been months since I've consulted God on something." And yet all of these things have transpired in your life from that last time till now and you've not asked him a thing you've not inquired of whether you should do this or that let me give you a suggestion i'm going to give you a scenario i intend on opposing a brother in a certain area of doctrine what would be smart for me to do is to go before the Almighty and say "Father do you wish me to go and oppose my brother in this certain instance do you wish me to go up and present my understanding and my opinion what I've come to understand about this with my brother do you want me to come and straighten him out should I Father oh you know what a lot of people would do you know what human nature wants to do they get a thought in their head they go "That's it Lord i'm heading marching forward you just told me yes." What they should do is grab two items and cast a lot let's let's really find out if it's your will or God's will that you're wanting done are you willing to abandon it if it's a no or you really invested in it and you want it to happen regardless of what God Almighty says remember David counted and numbered the people without asking God and it wasn't good but here he asked God and it's a blessing god gives him the enemy into his hands i'm going to suggest to you that you ask God before you do anything that would be harmful hurtful to your brethren in the community whether you're going for a job you're moving to a place but not not just big things little things young adults teenagers God do you want me to have this as a friend should I have this person as a friend or not is this friend the friend you want me to have husbands and wives should I oppose my spouse in this area knowing that it's going to create a conflict it's going to create a big deal should I oppose them oh Mark really do we should we ask God about such simple trivial things oh you don't want God involved in every little thing of your life you don't want God to to be involved in all of the things in your life you just want him just the big stuff right you want to be in charge of all the other things you want to decide for yourself what is going to happen we're picking that tree of the knowledge of good and evil a little bit are we yes deciding for oursel what's right and wrong i just want to say there are other ways of consulting the father other than lots because we have cast the lot and we do not do that anymore unless it has come to a where we cannot feel like we that that that's the only way we're going to proceed we talked about one last week which was uh Eleazar asked the father if this happens this way with re with a the bride to be then I know it's of your hand he laid out an order that's a way of getting the father's uh opinion on a matter yes there's other ways yes yeah because we've had situations that we've cast the law and then we've had to say now what because it came out to where there was no answer even when we cast a lot so well we've resolved that we've come to an agreement on resolving that but yes I just say take we don't take that very lightly if it comes to that yeah but lots are biblical lots are to be done uh they are an answer from God as it says the lot cast in the lap is just and true of the Lord yes so what I also noticed too in this passage is that we ask of the father but then we also have to follow what he says so yes David asks he inquired of the father and he said "Should I go up?" And he said "Yes go up." Then he inquired again and he said "Should I go up?" And he said "No don't go up." Yeah and each time he answer and that's a good point because you would think David would go I know he wants me to go up because he already told me to go up once before so he's wanted me to go up against the Philistines but no this is now a second time and he's going to ask again each matter requires a request yes and then we'll go over here i I I'm just going to second what you said according to Rabbi Greg a long time ago when the when the Parises or whatever those uh or uh they wanted to they have a because the Jews in one question they have three answers right so so they have to to they contest and so what they do they cast a lot and because God always put where it's supposed to go so yeah so so so sometimes the the uh the answer is casting a lot yes Deborah okay so I was just thinking that that maybe one big way um other than asking him you know show me this if this is where you want me to go and the other way of casting lots maybe one approach would be to just first take the you know sixoot log out of our own eye and um examine our own heart and ma and just make sure and even ask a brother or sister like what do you see in me that needs to be corrected before I go up so that's one way I think yes okay so the Philistines had allowed David to rule in Judah without any interference a divided Israel gave them strength but once all the Israelite tribes supported David the Philistines became his enemy their attack probably occurred before his capture of Jerusalem and the stronghold mentioned is Adelum David's earlier military headquarters and you can see Isaiah 22:1-4 yes no and you mentioned about uh going to a brother on a uh I guess a doctrinal issue yes i guess you better be absolutely sure that you are positive that what you're teaching is from the scriptures right and that you could back it up and and because he might have something that could you know counter that if you know I mean I mean that's the importance of just being in the scriptures continually and yeah and if you haven't counseledled God and you go up against a brother God could put the spirit upon that man to bring answers to you like Yeshua gave to the Pharisees that blows your mind and you go like I feel like an idiot but because the spirit was on the man who was doing things righteous and not on the man that was doing things unrighteous that's very I've it happens okay so 1st Samuel 22:1 says "David departed from there escaped to the cave of Adullum and when his brothers and all of his father's house heard they went down there to him and everyone who was in distress and everyone who was in debt and everyone who was bitter in soul gathered to him and he became commander over them and there were with him about 400 men going on to verse three and David went from there to Misp to Moab of Moab and he said to the king of Moab "Please let my father and my mother stay with you till I know what God will do with me." and he left them with the king of Moab and they stayed with him all that time that David was in the stronghold chapter 6 david again gathered all the chosen men of Israel 30,000 men and David arose and went with all the people with him to Bal Judah and to bring up from there the ark of of God which is called by the name the very name of Yahweh Zeote who is enthroned above the cherubam so I bring this up to tell you immediately after the battle with the Philistines immediately after the battle immediately after the success what does David do he brings up the ark to the place that he is his capital to Jerusalem he's he's bringing the ark up as soon as there's victory i've I've defeated the Philistines i've defeated the enemy of God first act it's time to now get the ark and bring it up and then immediately after the battle with the Philistines in chapter 11 this happens then you will say on that day I will give thanks to you oh Yahweh for although you were angry with me your anger is turned away and you comfort me behold God is my salvation i will trust and not be afraid for Yahwa Elohim is my strength and song he has become my salvation therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation and in that day you will say "Give thanks to Yahwa call on his name make known his deeds among the peoples make them remember that his name is exalted praise Yahwa in song for he has done excellent things let this be known throughout the earth cry aloud and shout for joy oh inhabitant of Zion for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel [Applause] this is I mean you have a battle victory what happens what do righteous people do exaltation magnification of the king look what he's done for me and I want to transition to Romans chapter 6 first before we go to seven this is to this is to set up what we're going to talk about in Romans chapter 7 6:14 says "For sin shall not be master over you for you are not under law but under grace." What then shall we sin what then shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace may it never be the word grace here is a gift it's a gift note the words of Ambryostar in 33 366 uh CE this man states "If we walk according to the commandments which he gives Paul says that sin will not rule over us for it rules over those who sin for if we do not walk as he commands we are under the law but if we do not sin we are not under the law but under grace now some people have a hard time understanding that if I don't sin I'm not under the law what does that mean i'm not under the law i'm not under the justice and judgment because I've broke it if I'm walking in accordance with it then there's no judgment coming against me but if I'm a sinner and a transgressor against it now I'm under the punishment and the justice that the law requires because God is just so a lot of people have a hard time understanding what he's referring to when he says under the law right if however we sin we fall back under the law meaning punishment now will rule over me and sin starts to rule over us once more for every sinner is a slave to sin it is necessary for a person to be under the law as long as he does not receive forgiveness for by the law's authority legally sin makes the sinner guilty thus the person to whom forgiveness is given and who keeps it by not sinning anymore will neither be ruled by sin nor be under the punishment and the the uh justice of the law for the authority of the law no longer applies to him he has been delivered from sin those whom the law holds guilty have been turned over to it by sin therefore the person who has departed from sin cannot be under the penalty and the punishment of the law does that help you understand am I under the penalty of the law now that Yeshua has come no i'm no longer under the penalty because Yeshua has satisfied the just requirement by breaking the law its demand for punishment has been satisfied and I'm no longer under that punishment because the demands of the Torah has been melt met through the life and the perfect uh perfection of Yeshua because there was no judgment against him listen to this yeshua came in the flesh because no flesh had ever been perfect so he comes in the flesh so that when Hassatan brings judgment against flesh there is one that stood righteously in obedience to all that God said and if we accept him and die with him there can't be any judgment against me because Yeshua's death satisfied it in reference to me does that help you understand yes so I hope that I can articulate this because um and I hope I'm not jumping ahead but uh chapter 7 was really it's it's kind of it's very weighty so one thing that kind of helped me to understand this and if I can share is that a sister helped us during the study of Esther to understand that Esther really should be called the enoling of the death decree per because in order for us to actually anull a decree we have to first affirm that it exists right so by acknowledging the Torah or acknowledging the law then we can enull it and then when it's removed or enulled then we can have a renewed decree so that we can now have life because the decree originally was against us it was death when we affirm it then we enol it then another one is renewed and then we take in life and okay so one thing that really struck me about understanding that that is why in the book of revelation we must have the commandment and the testimony of Yahusha Hamashiach so well said so this your statements bring up Gary's age-old comment about Leviticus 26 that we say up here when we're in the circle that we acknowledge our offense we acknowledge our offenses before him we acknowledge it we affirm it god is just we're the ones that have shame right and then we accept that offering of the righteous one that satisfied all that was against me and that's why on shaveote when we when we have the when we go below that water this is what they understood about baptism that we the what what was against us the decrees the law that that we were under because we die with Yeshua we're resurrecting new and life because it it holds no justice over us because there isn't anything there we we this is true liberty this is true freedom because through through the blood of Yeshua god doesn't see that that required judgment and punishment he doesn't see it he sees Yeshua the the lamb the blood of the lamb as cover it's it's him because he came in that that flesh of humanity yes um to add with what Lisa said I was really um um mind um it opened my mind um so um it's like we have to acknowledge first before we get you know we get healed right and so just like in first John 1:9 uh 8 verse if we stay if we say that we have no sin we are misleading ourselves and the truth is not in us if we confess our sins he is trustworthy and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness so it's like the the humility and bowing before him to you know to acknowledge our sins th this is why it's so important to this is why it's so important to um the sin iniquity and transgression before I came to Torah I was only repenting of sin i had no idea there was two other things that needed to be done i I didn't know about transgression and and iniquity but they're certainly there against me and so if if if acknowledging it as part of that as you said can you imagine how many people have not even acknowledged uh in order to anull it's still sitting there as a decree against them because they haven't acknowledged it it'd be like you know two people having a disagreement one person's hurt the other or let's say uh I shot my neighbor's bull and the bull dies there on the ground and he comes over and goes "Mark you shot my bull." And I'm going "I got the gun by him." I go "I did i didn't shoot your bull i didn't do it i mean I'm unwilling to to acknowledge what I've done right this is a big problem yes bringing up this Leviticus 26 if we you know when you read through it it first there's the blessings then all the curses and then it's like but if you will acknowledge your offense and the offense of your forefathers with it with what you have done and that you have walked contrary to me and I've walked contrary to you then it says if your uncircumcised heart be humbled he says um and you accept the punishment of your iniquity then I'll remember the covenant with Isaac with the I'll remember all the covenants and but the last thing he says and I will remember my covenant that I made with your forefathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt but so the important thing is if God came to you and said look in order for you to be forgiven I I need you to spit in a bag and spin around three times and you say well I'm only going to do it once yeah you know you haven't done what he said to do right when when he gave us the sacrificial laws very specific a lamb of the first year that's perfect in every way if you bring a three-legged lamb up that it's not going to work it It was very specific and so there's a specific thing he's saying here that's right that you have to acknowledge your offense and the offenses of your forefathers and that you walk contrary to him god walk contrary to you and then when it says "And if your uncircumcised heart be humbled," there's a scripture that says "I will cause their uncircumcised heart to be humbled to love the Lord thy God." Which and we know in in the New Testament says "For the love of God is obey the commandments." So that step is to return to Torah yes amen and then to accept the punishment of our iniquity well we he said you are an adulterous nation we are guilty of death yep and so that's where Yeshua steps in and says "Look this cup here is is a cup this wine is my blood take it and drink you enter into a a a covenant with him to die in your place for those sins." That's why it's so important with this Passover event coming amen so that's one of the reasons I wanted to talk about this in Romans because of this Passover coming right so I I I don't I think that's one of the most important scriptures in the Bible is Leviticus 26:40-45 absolutely yes i just wanted to clarify this verse romans 6:14 when he says "For you are under law," he's talking about man's law right not not the Torah right so you can't say you're no longer you no longer have to follow the Torah right he's he's talking about the law of man that's the way I understand it well but it's also what he's saying here uh you are not under the law you're not under law meaning in the law there is a decree in it that stands against me and it's it's the curse right right which which requires punishment to me for breaking it and so if if I do if I am obedient that curse and punishment cannot be applied to me because I haven't broken it but because I have only one is is not guilty of any of them and it's Yeshua and I must take I must accept him and acknowledge him because that's the only way for me to be for it to be anoldled so he's the only one that didn't break it right that's where the grace comes in that's where grace comes in yeah okay absolutely yes something I failed to mention is when if you commit a crime and you get put in prison well when you enter into prison which is your judgment that doesn't mean that the law no longer exists that's right that means you're still under the law because you're in prison same thing happened when when when heavenly father said "Oh backsliding Israel I put you away placing in your hand a bill of divorcement." that being uh put away under that you were still under the law and there had to be a list of offenses that you committed those list of offenses that are against us that that were held against us those are what are nailed to the cross and it's different for each and every one of us so here's a question keep the mic so I'm I I go out and I steal a car they catch me take me before the judge and the judge says "You're guilty no matter what I say I could say "I'm not guilty i didn't steal it no matter what they've got all the evidence i go into jail." And my attorney puts it before the the court again and the judge somehow dismisses it sets me free if I go out and I've been dismissed of the crime the judge is now released me of there's a release of it i can't be I cannot be judged about it again but if I go out and steal a car again I enter back into judgment again don't I yes it's important the judgment can still come against you if you go out and steal again it's a bad deal right no breaking these things is not a good deal all right so now let's go to Romans romans 7:1 says 'Or do you not know brethren for I'm speaking to those who know the law that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives in other words the law can punish you as long as you're alive punishment here on earth you can have punishments here right as long as you're alive the city of Mesa if you break it it can put you in jail if you break it as long as you're alive if you're dead the city of Mesa can't do anything to you are we in agreement right so the law has jurisdiction as long as long as a person lives for the married woman is bound by the law to her husband while he is living but if her husband dies she's released from the law concerning the husband so then if while her husband is living she is joined to another man she shall be called an adulteress but if her husband dies she is free from the law so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man yes we have hands up well I don't want to interrupt where you're going with this because my thought was before this so in some of the disagreements Mark and I have had and he Oh look at him boy they all got they all they they all leaned forward a couple of inches tell us more okay so he will say I see you're very upset about something i'm sorry he'll he'll make this apology and I am telling you that makes me so upset when he wants to apologize for something just to apologize for something because he sees I'm upset about it and he is clueless as to what he did and I say to him "How can you apologize for something that you don't even know what you did?" Because what are you women all laughing for because you're just going to do it again what are you women all laughing for okay because have you seen this before in your own house or is that what you're saying if you don't really know what you have done wrong against our father how can we really apologize or ask for forgiveness if we think this has been I don't have to do this anymore it reminds you of the scripture that says "Depart from me worker of iniquity because I don't know you." It's just that you don't even know what you have done wrong you don't even know what you need to apologize for because you have not acknowledged that this law is applicable that my law exists that the divine law is the boundaries that I gave you to live within you did away with that on your own and you freed yourself from something that still is held over you that you need to acknowledge and to ask for forgiveness for the things that you have done in disobedience and this is why when you said when we accept Yeshua it's that when we understand the significance of covenant and when we become in covenant relationship with him then we understand who he is what he's about and when we have broken the terms of the covenant we can say "Father forgive me i acknowledge that the terms of the covenant were relevant they existed and I didn't do what I needed to do forgive me and restore me back into a right relationship with you." Now we've got to rectify something here and you'll probably find this just as funny as what she said earlier so she's right but you got to understand she's coming the next day or two days later and she's asking me to remember i don't remember what happened two days ago i need a little bit of memory jogger here okay i mean I you know guys can you remember two days ago when they got Come on no no no he doesn't remember but he knows something all you guys online no can you hear it yeah but you remember something's not right you know something's not right i can see it hey I can see it's not right you know why we're all laughing together because this is human nature isn't it this exists in every home and every Help us out Blair you and Linda come on go ahead so this is referring to Romans 7:2 you just read it a minute ago yes and in the scriptures 98 um it has a comment here and it says um Shaul now uses the analogy of marriage we were formerly married to sin the law of sin the principle of sinoing but now we're married to Messiah having been set free from sinoing by the law of the spirit and the law of Elohim spiritual nice so I have a question for you what's the law concerning the [Music] husband it says she is released from the law concerning the husband what is that what's that talking about yes i I'm sorry i was just going to say that um if you don't know what you've done wrong um Oh the ladies aren't ready to let that go guys we're in trouble i I I was thinking in terms of prayer that if you don't know what you've transgressed with Yahweh then you need to ask i can see that on the day of atonement we need to add an element you know how day of atonement we go through that whole laundry list of things acknowledging our offenses we need to add another a list okay so what what's the law concerning the husband that it's referring to say again but okay so what be more specific what when he passes away but what is what is the law about he dies but what law is is is not concerning deborah Deborah has her hand up uh Deuteronomy 24:1-4 if a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her and he writes her a certificate of divorce gives it to her and sends her from his house and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce gives it to her and sends her out of his house if he dies then her first husband who divorced her is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled that would be detestable in the eyes of the Lord so this is really important because we're coming up to Passover and Gary uh this this all speaks into our identity of the northern kingdom as the lost sheep of the house of Israel and the divorce i mean it's just it's really about it uh because as you said Deuteronomy is very clear that the first husband can't take her after she takes another husband of course the northern kingdom did take another deity after Yode Vave gave the divorce out they went and took other lovers right this is what happened but according to this it says according to this it says "But if her husband dies she's freed from the law where is this in the Torah come on Torah experts show me the money show me where this is in the Torah the writer of Romans is quoting it as though it's it's textual fact [Music] so would you be surprised to know Paul like Yeshua is quoting from the oral Torah there's many instances that Yeshua did quoted from the oral Torah and Paul is too here i'm going to show you where it's at it's in Koshin 1A a woman is acquired as a wife in three ways and she's released in two ways are you with me she's acquired three ways as a wife she's released two ways would you like to know what they are she acquires herself through a she releases herself through a written divorce and through the husband's death those are the two ways she's released from the law now our Romans writer knows this and he's speaking from this because it's nowhere in the Torah but he's using it to prove a point why why is he using it because everybody in the land knows about this because it's spoken about it's talked about it's in the synagogues this is stuff discussed just like we're doing right now we're we're having a midash here they're having midash and it's talked about they understand it here then we have yet another example of how in some cases the oral interpretation of the written Torah is viewed by the apostles as bound together to form accepted halaka accepted understanding and that's from Tim Heg by the way jeremiah 31:32 says "Not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt my covenant which they broke although I was a husband to them." So you say "Well how was he how was she how is the lost sheep of the northern kingdom h how is she released from her husband you mean he's her husband?" Yeah he's the husband he says so he's the husband right here in Jeremiah 31 and so we know he was a divorce was given we talked about it a couple weeks ago and so Yeshua dies on the tree and through Yeshua's death according to what we read here in the Mishna the woman is released from all of the things concerning divorce by the death of the husband wow how many of you think that's cool stuff yes i think it's amazing because of the Hold on get the microphone because of the covenant because you he made a covenant with them and then uh because they were the the Judah has the scepter right and and uh so if if Yahw made a covenant with them until uh the Yeshua died he could not break the covenant that's right yeah yep that's exactly right yeah he could not break it there had to be a line all the way to Yeshua absolutely going on in verse four therefore my brethren you also were made to die to the law through the body of Yeshua so you when you die with Yeshua you also are dead to that law concerning the husband and the wife right so that you might be joined to one another it's the only way you can come back together is there's got to be a a a re an anulment as Lisa puts it an anulment of that divorce certificate of that separ it's got to be rectified because God is just to him who was raised from the dead in order that we might bear fruit to God but not that he's not that I've died with him you mean I've got to bear fruit what fruit would that be oh I've just got to be sweet and nice i just got to be I've got to put on a good I got put on a good face when I'm around my brethren or you mean I got to do all that stuff that he said from the very beginning all that stuff that has to do with legal covenant status that got me in the problem in the first place oh yes so for while we were in the flesh the sinful passions were aroused by the law and they were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death but now we have been released from the law having died to that which we were bound so that we serve in newness of the spirit and not in oldness of the letter is it making sense to you it kind all is harmonizing coming together heg notes in our union with the Messiah in his death and resurrection the Torah which rightfully condemned us as those deserving death has now no more claim upon us by way of condemnation we know that this is how Paul intends for us to understand his words because the conclusion of this thought is found in chapter 8 1-4 in which Paul clearly states two principles one we have been released from the condemnation of the Torah what's the condemnation of the Torah that I've got to die right that's the condemnation of the Torah and two the Torah is now able to be fulfilled in us because we no longer walk or live according to the flesh but accordance with the spirit thus far from saying that the Torah has been done away with while in the line of the believer Paul teaches clearly that what has been done away with is the condemning power of the Torah and as a result we are free to establish the Torah by living it out by the power of the Ruak Hakodesesh and that's awesome but we have to see the whole picture going on in verse 7 so what shall we say then is the law sin may it never be on the contrary I would not have come to know or the better word is experience sin except through the law for I would not have known about coveting if the law had not said "You should not covet." But sin taking opportunity through the commandment produced in me coveting of every kind for apart from the law sin is dead i was once alive apart from the law but when the commandment came sin became alive and I died and this commandment which was to result in life proved to result in death for me because I disobeyed what it said for sin taking an opportunity through the commandment deceived me and through it killed me might as well sayatan deceived me you've been deceiving people for 2,000 years oh you don't need to do that stuff when Yeshua comes back he's not going to he's not even going to talk about it yes i'm going to give you my opinion on something and I don't know how it fits in with what you're talking about right now but I see there's a vast difference between judgment and redemption judgment and what redemption being redeemed we we were divorced we were lost without hope yes we were separated from the Almighty but through the blood of Yeshua we were brought back in correct but still it said the in Leviticus 26 the last thing is I will remember my covenant that I made with your forefathers i brought them out of the land of Egypt which was the marriage covenant of Mount Si you're restored under the marriage covenant you're still going to sin you're you're going to still have to you're you're not going to be perfect correct and it and the scripture says "All men great and small will appear before the great white throne of judgment they will be judged according to their deeds." Well Yeshua told us about the grading system when he said "If you break the least commandment you'll be least in a kingdom and if you do and teach them you'll be great in the kingdom." Showing there's a grading system correct i believe judgment is a is about how we're getting graded where we're going to end up within the kingdom but it doesn't just because just because you accept Yeshua doesn't mean you bypass judgment you're still going to be judged that's correct but you're still in the kingdom because this person that broke the least commandment is a lease in the kingdom he's still in the kingdom so once we're restored we accept that blood we're in his kingdom and it's it's important for us to stay in perpetual repentance yep i I agree wholeheartedly and I don't think anything you've said is has been contrary to what we've been talking about because just because we've accepted Yeshua doesn't mean that we're free uh a free card and there's never if I go out and steal again I'm going to have punishment again and that's why we repent continually because we're all sinners we all break the God's law and we need that lamb of God that blood to bring us back into right standing again so I want to bring this up it says "So then the law is holy and the commandment is holy and the commandment is righteous and good." But what is that word righteous go ahead we're going to look at that word righteous i think the main difference that we need to understand is the willfully sinning we are sinners but now that we recognize the law and how it pertains to us we don't want to willfully break his law but we're going to break some of them and that's the difference between us accepting Yeshua and those who don't they think that they don't that they can just continue breaking the law anytime anyway and I'm free but it's the willfully going to sin and I think the willfully really boils down to the idea of high hand knowing that you knowing you are and you're going to do it anyway you're you're you're rebelling against God with a heart of of uh not not willing to you know be as Gary said be humble so yes you guys are getting into this well everybody who calls themselves a disciple willfully sins okay everybody willfully sins the difference is when we do it so much that our mind becomes retrobane and then you know everybody lies but are you a liar so I mean yeah it's it's willfully sinning and I'm ashamed to say but I sin sometimes and it's I know I'm doing wrong but I still do it and I hope you know I pray that there's grace for me but I know I'm a good person that you know it's just I'm not this evil person that just remember biblically willful means I'm I'm I'm going to do it and I don't care it's like a high hand against God that's that's the willful thing but I wanted to mention you you're talking about uh the willful since we were talking about this earlier women did the men willfully do something that hurt you was it willful oh Chris is smiling on that one was it willful yes just to uh kind of give I guess a perspective of how we apply this in everyday life um a lot of what we do is with our mind okay scientists closer scientists have proven that uh thought is paramount your thoughts can change your DNA it can change your life and so when we we say in the adorations that to tifulum between you know between your eyes that and your hand you know bound to your hand it's what you think about constantly so if you think about drinking or if you think about associating with someone that you shouldn't that you will continually be drawn to them y you'll be continually be drawn to alcohol if you think about it yeah because it's already it's already produced it in your mind right and they and we're taught in Torah not to do that by keeping it always in our front of our minds with the tipflum and the on the bound to our hands i got one more dovetailing off what he said um and I'm not sure where the scripture is exactly but it says very clearly that you uh Yeshua said that you if you've thought about it you've already committed the sin yeah well when you raised your hand real fast I thought you were going to show us where he willfully did it i was already thinking "Oh brother I'm going to pray for you real quick." Go ahead so you said it's like for you for you wives where your husband has sinned against you did he do that willfully did he do it on purpose no but that doesn't ex like even when we sin against the father even if we did it by accident because we were ignorant of whatever it was we did that doesn't mean we can just make that an excuse to just be like "Oh but it's okay." And it's like "No even if we do something by accident we should be accountable to that and apologize and repent." Yeah and that's why you see some of the I think it was in Manashe's prayer he said even the things that I don't remember the things that I'm unaware of I you know because let's face it we're not going to remember everything that we've done it just isn't going to happen yes since we're in Paul's writings of Romans as we go down farther we get the understanding of what we're really battling and it starts from verse 15 7:15 for that which I do I allow not for what I would that I do I not but what I hate that do I if then I do that which I would not I consent unto the Torah that it is good now then it is no more I that do it but sin that dwells in me for I know that in me that is in my flesh dwells no good thing for to will it is present with me but how to perform that which is good I find not for the good that I would do I do not but the evil which I would not that I do now if I do that I would not it is no more I that do it but sin that dwells in me i find then a rule that when I would do good evil is present with me for I delight in the Torah of Elohim after the inward man uh let me see but I see another law in my members waring against the Torah of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members a wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from the holy I mean oh wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from the body of this death i thank Elohim through Yahushua Hamashiach or Adonai so then with the mind I myself serve the Torah of Elohim but with the flesh the law of sin i just I just saw a beautiful thing that Paul gave us men whenever our wives come up to us and say "All we got to do is start rattling off the first part of that it's not me that's doing it it's sin that's within me that's doing it you wretched man you What are you doing wretched man it's sin that's in me doing that i'm just having fun of course." Okay so what is in verse 12 here what does it mean by righteous it's this word dyos but it's it's rooted in this other word the kasun which means most frequently in the septuagent for zedic and zeraka rarely for hessed the virtue or quality or state of one who is right in other words it's producing a state of righteousness a state of holiness that's what the the God's law does within us and to do righteousness and to live uprightly so 1 John 2:29 says "If you know that he he is righteous you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him." Because if he's righteous and I've taken him on as Gary says I've I've drinken I've I've taken his blood eaten of his flesh and he's now part of me then I'm that righteousness of him which is his Torah i'm now born again of him a new man is existing right going on to 13 therefore did that which is good become a cause for death for me may it never be rather it was sin in order that it might be shown to be sin by affecting my death through that which is good so that through the commandment sin would be utterly sinful when we came to know the Torah I'll speak for myself those things became utterly disgusting to me pork became so disgusting to me i it today my kids can't even I mean just the thought of it just makes them want to heave you know it's terrible it's it's it's not good so this word shown fo it signifies in the active voice to shine to be brought forth into light so sin in order that it might be shown come into light to be sin affecting my death so What happens god turns on the light and that sin now becomes illuminated illuminated for me as a one seek searching after God's heart right and so verse 14 and I know our brother read part of this but uh but I wanted I'm just going to touch on this one part i won't read all of it because he already read it but you hear people say all the time "Yeah but you know it's spiritual this and spiritual that in spiritual spiritual you know come on we got to look at everything in the spiritual i know that's what the law says but we got that's that's the we need to be in the spiritual brother spiritual that's right but if we if if we're going to look at spiritual we've got to go back to the Torah because he says here that the Torah is that which is spiritual and it's confirmed in another place where it says the spirit and the law are united they're together you you they don't go against one another so it's important to realize that okay did you What did you read down to what what verse huh you read all the way through it okay so I'm going to close with this then Woo explains that law principle could refer to a law such as the constant rule of experiencing imposing itself on the will such as a modern scientific law or the Maic law Mosaic law or the law of sin which Paul speaks of as in his members the last interpretation seems most in keeping with the times in which Paul is writing and with the context the law in his members waring against the law of his mind of course the evil nature I put in parenthesis evil inclination paul finds a condition that when he desires to do good this evil inclination always asserts itself against the doing of what is good come on men say it you want to do what's good with your wife but man that that that evil inclination just rises up i just I'm just playing and having fun you sinful man you uh oh here it goes let me have it now you don't have to wait till I get in the car this is where I'll get mercy i want it now okay i have to deal with children having little issues okay back and forth with idiosyncrasies that each of them have and so I have to tell them I don't know why I was going with this you made me forget what I was going to say i made you laugh too much you made me laugh so maybe this was You're talking about wretched men okay so Mark loves to do this little thing with one of my sons one of my sons uh [Music] uh love he does not since he was little when he's eating he would build a surrounding fort around his bowl the cereal boxes got built up around his bowl so that nobody could breathe near it no one wanted to breathe no one would come anywhere near its protecting it from all human nature and all human please don't look my way when I'm eating this is sacred territory yeah and my husband go easy he may not want you speaking about all this he doesn't they don't know which one it is i got four so Mark knows this you would think that you would just let that go but you know what oh you can't see me he's eating here and it'll just be like "Hey son how's it going?" These little things okay he knows that bothers him he knows he doesn't like that and I tell him "Why don't you you know how many times does he have to say he'll get up and he'll throw that whole plate of food in the trash if he goes next to him?" And I'm like you know that gets to him so why do you go by and say "Hey son." To think that maybe it's going to be different this time you know it's those little things that we know that he knows he shouldn't do oh it's just having a little bit of fun i'm a dad that likes to play around and tease with my kids i know sometimes they get a little upset i know the scripture talks about don't antagonize your kids so I may not may I not be one to take it that far okay uh we're gonna She's still laughing i'm gonna sum this up by what Tim Heg says this is a good quote that he says the teaching here seems straightforward in Romans the laws pertaining to marriage remain intact as long as both partners are alive when one spouse dies the other is free from the legal requirements of that marriage the obvious point is this we died in Messiah the Torah did not die and what is Paul conclusion to this illusion for while we were in the flesh without faith in Messiah the sinful passions which were aroused by the Torah were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death but now we have been released from the Torah having died to that which we were bound we've been released from the condemnation of the Torah so that we serve in newness of the spirit and not in the oldness of the letter meaning the condemnation that was coming against us paul goes on then to tell in no uncertain terms that the Torah is not at fault for the condemning functions but sin is and that the Torah is holy righteous and good and that has a spiritual nature one that is actually contrary to the flesh the Torah is spiritual in that it is opposing all of the things of the flesh can I hear an amen i know we've had some fun but would you stand with me you could okay we're not cutting it okay so Paulie says you're gonna leave the live stream running because we're going to do the new moon celebration here in just a little bit so yeah all right well that's coming we got to wait just a little bit for the chauffars okay father thank you for the word today the message father we thank
