low retention liked music was 14 was my observed my expected count was 11.5 - so 14 minus 11.5 - squared divided by 11.5 - disliked music love attention so that's 15 is my observed count again disliked low was twelve point four eight my expected count you got to make sure you match them up a lot of times you computer programs they'll put the expected count like right next to the observed count just so you don't mess up up and then so a game we got 15 - twelve point four eight squared divided by twelve point four eight now for the no music group we had seven was our observed count so seven minus the expected count was 12 so seven minus 12 squared divided by 12 and work all that out and you're going to get a chi-square test statistic of six point zero one two okay now we can use the degrees of freedom and and the theoretical distribution calculator or stat kado you statcato orbit use the theoretical distribution calculator in stat key to get our critical value and see if this falls in the tail or not determined by our significance level okay so so this is the categorical Association hypothesis test so I hope this has been helpful for you and again this is Matty show and intro stats and I will see you next time
