hello guys today I am going to show you how you guys can calculate discount guys as you know that in your day to day routine you came across different shops different retail outlets or anywhere and they said we have this item this price and there is like 20 percent 30 percent discount so how you guys can calculate how much will be the discount and how this whole thing works okay guys so today i'm going to explain you for example if you go to a shop and they said we have an item which is 250 you can say dollar or rupees whatever you want so they said that the price is 250 and they said we are giving 20% off in that case guys how you guys can calculate how much will be the 20% and how much will be the discount guys so there is a simple formula for discount so discount is equal to is equal to original price original price multiply with rate of discount Okay guys, so original price multiply rate of discount. So in that case, the original price is this and rate of discount is 20. So original price is 250 and then we have to multiply it with 20. Guys, this is 20%. So we have to make it 0.20. So 250 multiply 0.20.
The answer will be guys 50. So discount is this is $50 that's $50 discount is on this price here guys so that's that's that's the formula for discount original price multiply with ratio of discount let's move to find out how you guys can calculate the sale price guys so formula for sale price is original price minus discount price guys so original price is 250 guys so I will put 250 here and then discount price we calculated here which is $50 so 250 minus 50 guys so the original price will be 200 So, sorry, this is the sale price. So, sale price will be 200, guys. So, sale price is the 200, guys. So, that's the formula for sale price. Sale price equal to original price minus discount price, guys.
