Tools Overview

1. Plagiarism Checker

  • Features:
    • Super Search:
      • Provides more accurate results
      • Takes longer to process
    • Google Scholar Search:
      • Available for premium users only
    • URL-based Scanning:
      • Option to scan for plagiarism based on a URL
      • Ability to exclude specific URLs from the scan
  • Usage:
    • Upload a file or copy-paste text (maximum 12,000 characters)
    • Example: Text copied from Wikipedia about lumber
    • Result: 97% of the example text was plagiarized
    • Provides sources and citations for detected plagiarism
    • Citations available in MLA or APA format
    • Option to copy/share/download a detailed report

2. Rewriter Tool

  • Purpose: To rewrite text such that it bypasses plagiarism checks
  • Process:
    • Input plagiarized text into the rewriter
    • Offers two reworded versions of the text
    • Example:
      • Text rewriting reduces plagiarism detection to 16%
      • Further rewriting can decrease detection to 0%
  • Demonstration:
    • Rewritten text is rechecked by the Plagiarism Checker
    • Successfully passes the check with no plagiarism detected
