Accessing Blackboard
- Blackboard is the University's learning management system for students, instructors, and staff with an Active Directory account.
- Access requires logging in with a UR/URMC Active Directory username and password.
- Blackboard can be accessed from a browser, Panopto, or Blackboard Mobile apps.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Setup
- MFA adds an extra security step to the login process.
- Download an authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy) on your phone.
- Scan the provided QR code or manually enter the setup key into your app.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the authenticator app during setup to complete MFA.
- MFA is required for future logins and when logging in on unrecognized devices.
Mobile Access
- The Blackboard app lets students view grades, course materials, and more on smartphones or tablets.
- Instructors can manage courses and interact with students via the app.
- Download the app from the iOS or Android marketplaces and search for "Rochester" as your school.
