[Music] to use kneading i usually use it either as an introductory warm-up technique or after i've done pushing and suppressing so with kneading we can use any of our contact surfaces i like to use the palm of my hand and it's basically small circles so just picking a spot in the middle of the back i'm going to push into the the muscle because i'm not moving over i'm not doing this i'm going to be moving the skin over the muscle so the rhythm could be relatively slow or it could be a little bit quicker but it's not any faster than what i'm doing now now the force the pressure is on the entire palm of my hand but we can shift our contact surface very easily i can go onto that minor thinner muscle under the pisiform i can shift my focus onto the thinner muscle flexor muscle of my thumb so it doesn't really matter which contact surface you use all we could do is our fingers i'm just going to reinforce them because i don't want to have to use much strength now the pressure is going to be mild to medium at most it's really quite a gentle soft technique so that's in one spot but i can do the same technique if i just use my fingers you just move down the meridian as well so you move the shoulder or yeah so the movement's coming from the the shoulder a little bit from the elbow and we could do slow as well it doesn't have to be fast do nice slow depending on are you trying to stimulate or you're trying to relax you can use my elbow as well so so far i've been standing in this horse stance directly towards my client so if i'm going to say use my elbow i'd shift towards the front of the table my outside leg is forward my inside leg is back get a nice lunge now when i lean in i'm leaning in with the entire forearm remember when you use your forearm or your elbow you don't just lean in with that elbow start with that form the same thing just do moving now i'm not going to be going directly into the olecranon it's going to be too painful yeah pretty simple relative to the other techniques all right so kneading
