before the elections president Trump claimed that indian-americans will vote for him take a look think that the people uh Indian people would be voting for Trump and you know what he was right quite some indian-americans ended up voting for Trump however shortly after the elections things changed but in truth the reality of what the H1B program is is to replace good paying American jobs with hundreds of thousands of lower paid guest workers from abroad who are often treated as indentured servants Donald Trump says he's abolished Birthright citizenship but what is that and can he actually ban it tonight an immigration cyber battle Brewing among supporters of president-elect Donald Trump far-right activist Laura lomer taking to X to slam Trump's new artificial intelligence advisor Shri Ram Krishnan for his past support of easing restrictions on skilled foreign workers coming to the US lumer launching a series of posts such as our country was built by white Europeans actually not third world Invaders from India the H1B Visa program is a total and complete scam what H1B is a scam and Indians have not done anything for the US I don't understand where are these claims coming from and how did it all start let's roll it back up a bit you see the MAA Civil War essentially started focusing on the H1B once president Trump and endorsed the program Trump mentioned that the H1B program helps bring talent to the US and it doesn't always have to be Engineers all kinds of people top talent essentially enters the us because of the H1B on his first day back in office in fact president Trump signed a record number of executive orders including some of which which actually intended on revising bent eror policies most of these were focused towards immigration however one program was untouched and that was the H1B now this gave rise to a contention on the one hand Trump talks about making America great again Maga and getting more and more jobs for American citizens and kicking out people who are in the US and taking up those jobs while on the other hand he's talking about how the h1d program is great as a matter of fact he took no action on it and on top of that he appointed VI ramaswami to head Doge along with Elon Musk this ex that move spared a debate between two of Trump's allies that's Elon Musk and Steven Miller now there were a lot of people on both sides of the argument already well after that Trump makes this move he likes Shri Ram krishn an Indian wo capitalist as senior policy advisor on AI That's where Laura lummer a far-right political activist starts doing a research on shiran Krishan only to find that he has spoken in defense of the H-1B and getting more and more Indian people into the US triam Krishan was found tweeting on one of Elon Musk posts anything to remove country CPS for green cards or unlock Lo skill immigration would be huge well this a notet right with Laura lummer and she started denigrating San Krishan on all platforms and how the administration is appointing more and more leftists which is not what she expected of the administration you see Laura lummer has been someone who's been very well against this Indian immigration essentially into the us some of her posts are in fact so racist take a look at this one if camer Harris wins the White House will smell like curry in another one she says our country was built by white European not third world Invaders from India with these kinds of tweets and all the action coming in from both sides it's almost like a war interest has been spared around the H1B right now and that's also why people on the H1B and people who were pursuing the H1B are now starting to feel like it's not the safest option to go for they're looking for alternative options like o1 now I made a separate video about o1 and how you can look into it and whether it's the right fit for you but all things said this is starting to look bad for the Trump Administration so what do they do the first thing they do is to start looking at people they can sort of prune from the administration which proves Laura Luma wrong take a look at this tweet from Elon Musk Elon says I've been very clear that the program is broken and needs a major reform when he talks about the H1B V says I've said it Con this time in the last two years and they'll say it again the H1B system is Bradly broken and should be replaced with one that focuses on selecting the best and not a lottery in another one of his tweets says again I've long said that the H1B is badly broken needs to be Merit based and you know all the these things again and in another one of his tweets weake is writing the long essay about how the American population is encouraging their own citizens to be lazy and whereas Indian population is focusing on education and getting more and more people educated within their country be producing the best engineers and all that at this point with VI ramaswami and was talking about how the H1B system can be improved which one of them do you think took the hit well I'm sure you can understand Doge now no longer has R ramaswami and while he claimed that he is stepping down because he is potentially going to become the governor of Ohio that's what he's running for here's how Ohio reacted people started tweeting with images like this pharmaceutical scammer called Americans stupid and lazy wants to flood America with more Indians and it w be visas and they started posting ridiculous advises of aake holding up the American flag and started saying lazy Americans and you know H1B visas Indians don't innovate the steal scam and of course that's how V ramaswami got sideline now here's how I see it V's spos could be slightly denigrating they could be slightly offensive as well but did they really call for such a backlash I feel like it's a bit much on the flip side take a look at the Marco elz case marcoz a young 25 year-old kid who was a part of Elon mus Doge essentially and was working under him one of the Wall Street Journal reports team members essentially found some evidence on him this guy had a fake account on Twitter using which he was posting tweets such as this just for the record I was racist before it was cool you could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity normalize Indian hate and how does the internet respond to that well Marco ales was forced to resign of course at the end of the day given that he was accessing millions of pupils of sensitive data of all kinds of Americans and that's dangerous data in in the hands of someone who has these thoughts so of course L resigns but here's how musk takes it Forward he posts a poll on his ex account stating bring back those staff member who made inappropriate statements we are now deleted pseudonym and of course 78% of people say yes on top of that JD Vance the Vice President says here's my view I obviously disagree with some of Al's posts but I don't think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid's life we shouldn't reward journalists who I try to destroy people ever so I say we should bring him back I wonder where was this display of affection and forgiveness when the grahas Swami made a small mistake that honestly speaking wasn't even this offensive now these kinds of post of course started a whole wave of new Indian American hate on platforms like Twitter on the other hand politically politicians like boury Sanders start claiming that H1B is replacing good paying American jobs with lower paid guest workers from abroad CH Grassley says Congress created the H1B and L1 visas to complement America's High skilled Workforce and not to replace it and that unfortunately some companies are exploiting the program by hiring cheap labor to these programs what this fails to account for is that for each and every H1B application ation that goes in each and every employer needs to meet the minimum prevailing wage which is said by the Department of Labor itself the employer has no role to play in it if the Department of Labor says that the minimum salary for this position this software engineering position on an average in this location should be $85,000 then the employer has to pay a minimum of $85,000 meaning the salaries must be at par with American workers or higher a 2023 nfab report in fact found that H1B holders ear 20 30% more in salaries than the average US worker in the same role again the average salary in the fiscal year 2023 for an H1B worker was $118,000 and many Tech giants like Google meta Microsoft even offered as good as $150,000 and even more now you tell me do you think that this is really cheap labor because what I feel is if the goal was to cut costs companies could just entirely offshore the jobs to people in India or other countries where the labor is just cheap so why go through the hassle of the H1B process which is by the way very costly almost $4,000 per application is spent one the H-1B and that's just the filing fee legal fee can range anywhere between $5,000 to $110,000 and there's always additional compliance cost for employers to pay so why would an employer go to the ordeal of paying these big fee if there was an American worker available with the same level of expertise that's needed and that's not just on the basis of one report in 2023 an idif report after all of its review revealed that they came to the conclusion that there's no evidence that an H1B worker is replacing or displacing an American worker in fact they went as far as to say that if a company hires H1B workers they in general were tending to expand their Workforce more than they generally would without one another report from 2019 in the economic policy Institute showed that us employers are struggling to find Tech talent and there's five job openings nearly for every one stem graduate from University now I know that it's been a while since 2019 and the market is not the same but all of these reports have time and time produced proof and confirm that the H1B is not being used in the sense that Bernie Sanders thinks it is being used and know what yes I admit to it I concede that over about 72% of the people who are holding the H1B are applying for the H1B are indes I know that but did you know that these h-1bs form only 4% of the US Workforce that still means that over 96% of the tech jobs are still held by Americans only a small percentage are being operated by h1d and I wouldn't exactly call that a takeover have you ever heard of these major Indian origin IT consulting firms TCS infosis vpro SC tech tech Mahindra these five names alone employ more than 100,000 people in the US with a large proportion being American workers they invest billions in the development of the US and they help keep us at the Forefront of it so I don't know what Laura lummer means when she says that our country was built by white Europeans because I feel this is contribution enough from the indian-americans and my final pointer there's dozens of reports like this one showing that H1B workers do not earn lower than what the average worker does it's actually the opposite and did you ever care to ask what is the most wealthy community in the US or by ethnicity at least that's indian-americans the median indian-american household is the highest by Miles and that's $126,000 and that was back in 2019 do you really think that the H1B is still being used to replace American jobs for cheap labor let me know in the comments down below because I'd love to know
