hey there welcome to my channel where I share all sorts of things from DIY projects property insights Fitness firearms and more if it's your first time here don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe to stay updated to all my latest videos I've got plenty of exciting content coming your way so stick around and let's dive in so this is an update on my experience with the Glock 42 so the Glock 42 is a 380 uh it is a polymer and steel firearm uh and the issue that I was having when I went to the gun range was the ejection so after I fired it would get stuck so I researched it uh on YouTube found a lot of little theories uh one of the best ones that I saw was when you're holding the firearm to make sure that you're all the way up um and to hold it with a firm grip because what happens is if you try to cushion that recoil it doesn't the the slide is not allowed to open up all the way so you almost need something firm in order for the slide to all the way go back to make enough room for the uh shell to eject well it I tried that a couple times it worked uh it was very 50/50 so then I decided to call Glock uh they were very friendly I explained to them the issue that I was having and they recommended me using a 95 grain uh bullet so I found that extremely interesting because when I looked I was using a 90 grain bullet uh so I quickly went and I got a 95 grain um and no issues so it makes a lot of sense using a higher grain round because the higher the grain I guess the more explosive it is the quicker it's going to come out the f f is going to come out but really it's the more explosive so it'll just allowed that explosion to get that slide all the way back to allow that round to eject properly uh they also said at Glock that um I wouldn't need to always use 95 grain but because the the firearm is new um that I would need to use it for a while because this the tension in the spring is so strong or I guess so stiff that it didn't allow for the uh slide to go all the way back so I'm definitely using a 95 uh grain round uh from now on um but yeah please make sure to like And subscribe thanks for visiting
