- We're back with our
Affordable Yacht series. (bright music) Welcome aboard this 1999 Navigator 5300. We've shown you guys a
5600 one time and you loved it. So when we saw this listing, we thought we must show it to you. - [Rico] Okay. Let's start on
the swim platform as usual. - Okay. I think I'm sitting on a door. - [Rico] Yeah, you might want to. - Oh, it's a big door. - [Rico] And pull
- And pull. - [Rico] Wow. That's a big door. That's a very convenient
door actually, right? - [Victoria] It's the almost
an overkill of a door. - [Rico] Very, very convenient. - Yeah, I agree. - [Rico] Good size swim platform. I see the receptacles
there for the swim ladder. - Nice. - [Rico] Which is not on
there right now. Good transom. Then there I see there's a
shore water hookup there. And what's this? - We have a transom shower. - [Rico] Anything else on this side? - There's also a water inlet.
- [Rico] Water fill. - [Victoria] Yeah, water fill. Thank you. That's what I was trying to say. These are nice actually, because if you coming onto the boat from the dock right here, this is really nice to grab onto. - [Rico] Very true.
- [Victoria] Love that. - [Rico] Okay. Turn around. Also all grab handles all along here. So if you are, you know,
on the swim platform, you can always grab onto something. - Does this have a a a cable reel? - [Rico] Yes.
- [Victoria] Oh, that's cool. - [Rico] The remote for the cable reel. We have an additional inlet
here for a dock cable, meaning internet for example. - Oh, nice.
- [Rico] Okay. Yeah, I think that's probably something we will not see much
anymore in the future. - Yeah. - [Rico] With all the
alternatives now on the markets, - That's, yeah, that's
going away for sure. All right. Welcome to
our cockpit. It is large. So in case you guys are
wondering how we got on board, because obviously we
couldn't come that way. We came up the staircase and
kind of down these stairs. Okay. That was really awkward,
but you know what I'm saying? I love that they have this, I don't know if this was
aftermarket or not but... - [Rico] No. - [Victoria] You think it's really, - [Rico] I think that was original because that's your way
to the site as well. - Oh, you are right. I love that. It's just so nice
to get on and off the dock. It really helps. So this is a totally an open
slate, blank canvas, right? Do anything you want. You can put a nice dining set here, do your al fresco dining here. You can have like a cool couch as well. - [Rico] Yeah.
- Anything you want. They have simple folding chairs here. You can totally like zhuzh
this up and make this nice. So this is cool. Bigger
yacht features, right? That we have these, what are they called? - [Rico] Fairleads.
- No, these are, these are not fairleads. You guys gimme... - [Rico] I know. - Can you put in the comments one time? I forgot again what they're called. There is a specific name for them. Can you educate everybody else? What are these called? Okay. - [Rico] Well your dock lines
are going counting on you. - Yes. - [Rico] Then we have a
big storage right there. It looks like a sliding... - [Victoria] Show that. Oh yes, storage. - [Rico] And then what
we can see right now because the aft deck is covered
with these floor pieces. - [Victoria] Yeah, these
are nice and comfy. - [Rico] Yep. There's a hatch underneath, which we're gonna see
later in the very end of the tour from the engine room. So that's another access
to your engine room. To the lazarette and engine room. Yes. - Okay.
(excitedly exclaims) (bell rings) - [Rico] It is a quiet bell. - Yeah. I don't know if you
heard you hear me in a fog. Think they need a new bell. Possibly. Coming through, do you remember all the fog? - [Rico] Isn't that supposed
to be like a thing in there? Oh no, it's not that quiet. (bell rings)
- Oh. - [Rico] Okay. It works.
- It's loud. Sorry. Do you remember all the fog things? - [Rico] Sure.
- No you don't. - [Rico] No, I know where to look them up. - Yeah, yeah, exactly. I know we don't get to use 'em too often. - [Rico] I'm getting warm. Let's go in... - [Victoria] Okay, fine. - [Rico] ...and check out the interior. - Let's go and show you the interior. (door slides) It's a little bit of cheating on this tour since we couldn't go all
the way forward from here. - [Rico] That's right because... - Because we get to have air conditioning. - [Rico] As you guys can see,
this is a very wide salon. It's full beam. - Yeah. So you get all this
space. Check out this windows. (blinder slides) - [Rico] Oh, they're
really large actually. So this one's open. This one open. - All of it. - [Rico] And oh, there are two windows. There's one behind the TV as well. - Exactly. So we have a salon
that has loose furniture. Right? So technically if you
don't like this furniture, you can just change it
up and make it your own, whatever you like. But actually a cute couch
and huge TV right here. Somebody obviously enjoyed watching a TV. I feel like the TV used
to be in here, possibly. Could it be? - [Rico] Yep, a hundred percent. - Yeah. So this is now
storage and there's still a bit more storage
behind this chairs here. Also what you could do is put
a little high low table here, which will convert the
space and you can actually like dine inside or outside you, you know, one of these like
foldable little creatures that I think are just a great. - [Rico] What I would do, I
would probably get rid of one of these chairs and put
some bar stools there. - Oh you know, I like that too. - [Rico] To be honest. - That would be very cute as well. - [Rico] Right?
- Yeah, agreed. And you can do like a one
that you can slide in and out and use it as your ottoman and
use it as your hangout space. - [Rico] A hundred percent.
- Look, we remodeled already. - [Rico] And then it would
actually look even bigger, but it's pretty cool. Look, 1999. But a complete open concept. - Yes.
- [Rico] It's all open. - Great windows as we mentioned
all the way forward as well. But we'll get there in a moment. Let's check out some
storage. Oh, check this out. There's a little ice maker here. Look, it's even got a lock on it. Storage, storage, drawer underneath. Walk into the galley. Let's see here. All of these are drawers.
Lots and lots of drawers. Double sink, good size, nice window. If you would like to wash dishes and look out of the window.
- [Rico] With a view. - Which you guys know I
don't like to wash dishes, so I would probably find a way to get a little dishwasher into here, which you've got space for it. You could totally do
that for a liveaboard. I think this is a great amount
of space. It's a good galley. You've got a three burner cooktop. We had a three burner cooktop, right? - [Rico] We had a three burner. - Which was plenty. Storage here. Got a little microwave right there. Got a fridge that was upgraded. Look, it's not a Norcold nor a hot fridge. - [Rico] No, this is
a Vitrifrigo. Freezer. - Definitely an upgrade. - Then Victoria's standing
on the engine room access, which we're gonna check out
towards the end of the tour. - Oh, it's right there. Got it. This is actually deep storage you guys. It goes all the way in
there. So it's quite nice. Oh wait, found something else. What? This must have been
a little fridge here. - [Rico] Do you think it used to be a top loading fridge, maybe? - I think so, yeah. But now it's a nice storage
little cupboard right here. All of these as well. Upper storage. It's a nice amount of
space and still leaves that completely open feel
and look, check this out. I think they did this for safety reasons. Maybe a dog or a small kid. But it's a nice solution
for that makes it safe. - [Rico] Just a clear glass.
- Very cool. This is cute. The boat brain. - [Rico] What's that? - [Victoria] I don't know but it's cute. It gives you, I guess all the systems, but I don't know if it's
the name of the company that made it, but it's
called The Boat Brain. - [Rico] Yeah, it's a
sharp power status monitor. - [Victoria] Ah, that's what it is. - [Rico] That is funny. And then we have an old remote
right here for the generator. - Ah. So you could turn
it. Oh that's cool. Yep, it's right here. Another thing I found, which is cool is... - [Rico] Central vacuum.
- [Victoria] Yeah. You know I used to be a big fan of that. Now I kind of feel like I'm moving away from that 'cause the vacuum cleaners are getting so small and powerful. - [Rico] Yeah. - But it is cool, cool feature to have. You just walk around with your hose and hey you have that on your yacht. See what we got here. - [Rico] Got an electrical
panel right here with breaker switches, shorepower breakers and so on. - [Victoria] And another
thing I wanna point out is that it is good ceiling height. - [Rico] Oh, very good.
- [Victoria] Yeah. Yeah, it's nice. I mean... - [Rico] it's a very tall
boat. Yeah, for sure. - It feels good if you're tall. - [Rico] So stepping up
to the raised pilot house. - [Victoria] A bit more storage. - [Rico] More storage. Okay. - Are we gonna pilot house
first or are we gonna go out? - [Rico] Good question. - Hmm. Go out first and pilot house. - [Rico] Okay. - I think I need my glasses. They're just there. Forgot my glasses. - [Rico] Go get 'em.
- Ready. So we have this really
nice side door right here that takes us out to our
sidewalk and check out this. They also have a mosquito screen. - [Rico] Oh nice. - Could use that in
Florida. Good addition. Okay, this is interesting. - [Rico] So let me turn aft for a second so people can see what
we are talking about. So there is a little bit of a
sidewalk there without a rail. You have the grab rail on top. So yes, you can still walk
from the cockpit forward. It is just not like a dedicated side deck like you would see on the, you know, some other motor yachts. We have a side gate here. - So yeah, if you will dock on this side, you can just come straight
into your pilot house area or bring in groceries
or something this way. So it's an interesting solution here. And coming forward to the bow. Ta-da.
- [Rico] Good size bow. - Yeah, really good actually,
it's a completely open space so you can put some bean bags here. I think that's how we'd use it. You can also put a cushion here
that lives here permanently, but I think a couple of
beanbags would be super easy. You put it away. Keep the bow clean. - [Rico] Yeah. Forward hedge nicely covered to protect from the sun. - And that's also covered
which don't see too often. - Yeah. So we got the windlass here, which is covered the foot
remote switches right here. We have a water hookup right here. I don't know if it's sold or fresh, but there is a hookup right here. And then of course a searchlight
and a flag pole forward. Yeah! - [Victoria] And a...
- [Rico] And a. Yep. - Come on. You can do it
one time, say it right. - [Rico] And a not a bow sprit. I forgot what it's called. - PP poo poo. A bow poo. - [Victoria] No, I don't
want to poo on the bow. - A bow pulpit.
- [Rico] Pulpit. Okay. - Yes. Bow pulpit in the sailboat. - [Rico] Yep. - Okay, so this way we
don't have a door, right? - [Rico] I don't think so.
- No. Okay. There was a window, but we still have a side
entrance right there. - [Rico] Side boarding door.
- Side boarding door. Yeah.
- [Rico] Yeah. - So that's nice. So you can actually do it on both sides. - [Rico] It's side boarding gate. - Actually, yeah, you're right. Okay, let's go back to
the air conditioning - [Rico] And check the pilot house, right? - Yes.
(calm music) Okay. Perfect. Home office. - [Rico] Yeah.
- Really nice space. All these windows you can actually open. - [Rico] Yeah. As you guys can see here, like this one is open. - The way this space is connected is why I think this would
make a great liveaboard because it's just such a great
connectivity in the space. You can use all the spaces separately, but you just have this
perfect view all the way back. And if you could be in the
galley and someone's here, you can have your coffee or
your breakfast here as well. I would totally work here. - [Rico] I think it's also
really cool on the way because you have that pilot house set up. So you have the helm station right here and then with the seating and
the whole bench going around, everybody really can hang out together. Like even underway. - Yeah, but that's what I mean. Like if you live and spend
a lot of time on this boat, you are always together.
- [Rico] Yep. - So you don't feel like there's sacrifice when you are at the helm and
everybody else is hanging out doing something else like... - [Rico] Well you do still have the upper helm on top of all that. - So don't give that all
away. Do this helm first. - [Rico] Okay. So you got the helm chair right here. Remote for the bow and
stern thruster right here. Shift and throttle controls.
We have the autopilot here. VHF radio that looks pretty much original I believe with some old FURUNO equipment, actually, most likely. I almost bet some money on this still working perfectly fine. Analog gauges right
here for the main engines. These are Volvo Pentas,
let me take that back. We got the throttle control here and shift control right here. So they're separate. We got
bow thruster control here. Actually the panel that's a, you know, a little bit older looking one too, like that's the original for sure. Search light control and yeah, that's pretty much it
here on the lower helm. Looks like somebody already
built a support there for maybe a laptop or
some other equipment. You can place right there
when you're underway. - I mean you could put in
your iPad there as well. - [Rico] Yeah. Put your
iPad there. Exactly. - And kind of gives you time to wait to upgrade your electronics, you know, and just be able to use
an iPad if necessary at the moment with like
the latest technology. - [Rico] This is a nice space here. - Yeah. You even have it looks like an upgraded red light there.
- [Rico] Yep. - [Victoria] Which is, you know, a nice setup for long crossings... - [Rico] And we have an
openable hatch overhead. - Exactly. And once
you open this and that, you're gonna have a really nice cross breeze coming through here. Yeah. Love it. Does that mean we're going up? - [Rico] We going down to the
state rooms or are we going up into the do the flybridge
first? What are we doing? - I think we're going up first. - [Rico] Sure?
- Yeah. - [Rico] All right. - Because we always end up in
the owner suite last. Right? - [Rico] Okay.
- Okay, let's do it. Okay, let's go and
check out the flybridge. (calm music) Huh? Okay, I see. - [Rico] Oh wow. That's a bigger flybridge than I expected actually. - Yeah. And this enclosure
looks totally in new. - [Rico] It is.
- Yeah. That's great. So it's already ready to go. Yeah. The Bimini
everything. Yeah, it looks new. Great. Okay, where do we start? - [Rico] So starting aft,
we do have a tender sitting all the way on top here with a crane. With a davit, it's actually
connected to it right here. I wanna say the tender
is probably an 11 footer. Looks like it roughly maybe 12 footer sitting on cradles here. So once that's back in the water, you actually have more
space up on top here and could even set up a
couple of extra chairs there. - So then we have kind of a
U shape sitting area here. Could easily hang out here
with six or even eight people. You have this table here,
which is just stationary, but I would probably up in for maybe like a high low table here or two tables? - [Rico] Or two separate ones. - Yeah. It would be kind of nice. - [Rico] Yeah, you could do that. - Yeah. But for now you
have a table for sure. And then there's a
double bench right here. - [Rico] Yeah.
- Which is great. When you're underway, hold on, before you get to the
helm, there's a TV here. That's awesome. We have
a fridge right here. Drink fridge or a fridge, sink, grill and a bit of storage underneath. Nice. Everything you
need for entertaining. - [Rico] Visibility up here is fantastic. Like even if you are going
side to like we are right now, you can see the entire side of the boat, very, very conveniently
actually from up here. So this would be the spot
to drive the boat from, I would say, I would definitely
captain from up here. - [Victoria] For sure. - [Rico] No need to really use the lower one unless you're doing some super long crossing and you know... - Yeah. - [Rico] Have some crappy weather. So pretty much repeating what
we have already downstairs. The helm wheel, Furuno chart plotter here, throttle control, horn switch, shift control here on the port side. And then we got our
autopilot, fusion stereo, VHF radio, bow and stern
thruster control, engine gauges here, analog gauges. Our stop and start button
for the main engines. Windlass control. And that's
pretty much it up here. Got some trim taps here and the searchlight right over there. - If you're wondering why they haven't replaced the 1999 FURUNO. That's probably because
it's still working. - [Rico] Yeah, probably
still working great. - Because it's FURUNO. (Victoria and Rico chuckle) - Okay.
- [Rico] Awesome. - We are gonna go down and
show you guys the cabins, the state rooms.
- [Rico] Yep. - But before that, I
just wanna quickly say, you guys know that we
keep our independence and we don't charge

- What do you mean? - [Victoria] What, are we going? - Sure. - He doesn't wanna go.
He just told me he wants to sit here while we were watching the AD. He said it's nice. - [Rico] It's just nice. - I don't wanna go anywhere. - [Rico] It's nice. I'm
sitting in the shade. - [Victoria] Get up. Let's go. - Sitting in the shade. Nice breeze. - Up, up, up, up. - Okay. All right, let's go. - Okay, let's do it. It's air conditioned. Works nice too. You know what I didn't
mention up there that they have a really nice, this
really soft carpet thing. What is it called? Look, it's just so nice on your feet. What's it called? Seadeck? - [Rico] Not sure. I'm not sure what the name of it is, actually. - One of one of those. But it's like, it's set up like a carpet so you can click it in and take it off. - [Rico] Yeah.
- If necessary. So it's not glued down. The same thing they have in
the cockpit that we showed you. - [Rico] Correct. - But I love it 'cause it
just so nice on your feet. - [Rico] It's just like a foam backing. - Yeah. It protects you from getting that fatigue that you get on a boat. - [Rico] Yeah.
- Yeah. So that's nice. And that's already there. Okay. Ready? Going down. - [Rico] Ready. - [Victoria] All right. What's this? Wow. It's a little closet. They have like boat hook and you can maybe put some rods in here. Okay. So it's a three, two layout. We're gonna go all the way forward. All the windows are right now closed and covered just to keep
the crazy heat that we have. Like, I don't know, 90 degrees out there. So it maybe looks a little dark, but it's actually nice amount
of light once we open this up. It's kind of like how old boat was, right? - [Rico] Yeah. When you open this up, it's
just like super bright. So all of these look like
storage. I should open one. Oh yeah. Wow. That's great. And what else is here? Let's see, we have four drawers. They're large. Great storage right here. - [Rico] Yeah, they're
big drawers here for sure. - On this side we have
a nice hanging locker. Great. Back up. Now on our port side, we have a double cabin right here. Bunk beds, a bit of storage here and a little hanging locker here as well. Yeah, nice little overflow. Kids' cabin. Probably storage if you just a couple living on the boat, right? Oh, it's a pocket door. - [Rico] Yeah, it's a pocket door. - Nice. So you can leave it open. Nice. Okay. - [Rico] Actually it's a sliding door. It's not even in the pocket. - Oh no, no. It's sliding.
Yeah, you're right. This is gonna be our shared
head for these two cabins. Okay, lit's snug to go in there.
I'll go in here. Okay. So check this out. One person shower, we'll
have our toilet sink. A bit of storage here.
And Medicine cabinets here. Nice. Okay, let's see. Gonna go check out the owner suite. - [Rico] Which is Midship
full beam I think, right? - [Victoria] Yes. Come
on in. Check it out. - [Rico] Oh, it's a lot of space. - Also good height as well. So if you're tall you
could totally fit here. So we do have some storage. You could probably see it on your side. - [Rico] Yeah.
- Underneath our... Is that a phone? - [Rico] Yep. There's
some sort of phone there. - [Victoria] What call it. - [Rico] I dunno what you need that for. - [Victoria] Who is it? Call it. - [Rico] It's not working.
(Victoria chuckles) - This is where you call in
the morning on Sunday morning. You call...
- [Rico] Coffee please. - You call. Yeah. You call the galley and
you're like, excuse me, can I have a morning
breakfast in bed, please? - [Rico] So queen-sized bed. - Yes. I'm pretty sure
the queen installed this. This telephone?
- [Rico] Yeah. - The queen of this boat. Oh. What?
- [Rico] Oh, whoa. There is a washer and a dryer. - [Victoria] You guys, I've
never seen this kind of setup. - [Rico] I've never seen this either. - [Victoria] What? - [Rico] Yeah, it's a top
loading washing machine and it's really just completely
built in there. Sunken in. - Literally a first.
- [Rico] Did not expect that. - Didn't expect that. I was positive. Was gonna be a closet.
Like a little hanging. You have to open stuff
you'll never find it. - [Rico] Agreed.
- Unbelievable. And I was just in my head remodeling the bunk beds into like a laundry room. - [Rico] A laundry room. - But you actually have
laundry already. What? Crazy. And nice fans everywhere too. - [Rico] Yep. - Which makes a big difference. You can just get some airflow. You also have these openable portholes hanging locker right here. That would be mine.
- [Rico] TV. - There's another one here. That would be his, the door's prompt. So, but same size. Drawers right here. And then humongous drawer. One of the biggest drawers I've ever seen. - [Rico] Oh wow. - [Victoria] You could
I could fit in there. - [Rico] Yeah, you could. - [Victoria] I could literally
stow away in that drawer. Right? - [Rico] That is a very large drawer. - Yeah. That's great. Okay. And then coming into our head, we have a medicine cabinet right here. Openable porthole. Storage underneath. Turning around. We have a good size one person shower. Definitely comfortable. Pretty good. All right, where are we going next? - [Rico] Next is the engine room. - Yes. Let's do it. (calm music) Your turn. Not wanna leave
your sunglasses here. - [Rico] Yes. Okay, let's open this up. - [Victoria] Oh. - [Rico] Oh, with shocks and everything. Well insulated. Nice. - [Victoria] It's a lot nicer
than I expected actually. - Yeah, but it's warm in there. - [Victoria] Yeah. Okay.
- [Rico] Yes. - [Victoria] I don't feel sorry for you. You don't have to work that
hard. Just three minutes. - I think I'm gonna wait a second until like the air conditioned air
from up here goes down there. - [Victoria] Is it that warm?
- [Rico] Yeah. - [Victoria] Yeah, you feel the warmth? - [Rico] I feel like it's
like you're stepping, like, you know normally
when you're swimming... - [Victoria] Yeah. - In an ocean on the
lake and it's warm on top and then you put your
legs down, you can say, oh shoot, it's cool out there. So that's the opposite here right now. - [Victoria] Okay. Bye. Have fun. (calm music) - Oh wow. There's a freezer here. - [Victoria] What? Okay, go. Maybe I come. - [Rico] You wanna go check it out or? - [Victoria] Yeah, maybe I
come too. Okay, I'll come. - [Rico] Okay. So we
have a little bit of a, like a storage area almost here. That's pretty cool. So we have an additional freezer here. Storage there. There's an inverter there. Hot water heater right
there. Central vacuum. I believe we have... It's air condition. - Okay. Confirmed air conditioning. - [Rico] Air conditioning.
So they must have... - There's a freezer there. - [Rico] They must have extra insulated to just keep it quieter. Going back from here, we
have our two main engines. We got a large battery bank over there. Got our sea strainers
here for the main engines. One here, one on the port side. Moving aft. There's actually a lot of space in here. Our shaft, shaft seals. Same on the starboard side. We got a Kohler generator here. Cable reel all the way on
the starboard side there. Continuing further raft, get
some more batteries here. Battery boxes and then our
lazarette with some fuel tanks. One on the starboard,
one on the port side. We have a hatch leading into the cockpit and a ladder down to the space here. We have steering
equipment all the way aft. Pretty cool actually. That's a big space underneath
here. Lots of space. - Alrighty you guys, I
hope you enjoyed the tour. Hit that like button, subscribe. And if you wanna learn more

- [Rico] Yes. - Ciao.
(soft kiss) (sine tone)
(clapper slam) - One more time, do another one. The way the space is connect is blah. (Victoria chuckles)
