a lot of people think that the uh that the trailer you need a big truck to pull our fifth wheel our fifth wheel trailer weighs about in at about 3,000 lb you can tow this trailer with a smaller pickup a a Ford Ranger a Toyota Tacoma a Nissan Frontier who wants a fiberglass fifth wheel camper that is light enough for a midsize truck yet still has all the Comforts of a larger trailer hey folks Day heer from the 6 here and I drove 1100 M to Minnesota SAA to film The Incredible Scamp lineup for you in this last video of our Scamp series we'll be focusing on the largest Scamp trailer the Scamp 19 the Scamp 19 has two claims to fame first it's that rarest of RVs a lightweight fifth wheel and second it's a Scamp which means iconic fiberglass styling weatherproofness and Longevity join me and Dayton from Scamp as we walk through this exciting fifth wheel RV hit that subscribe button to make make sure you don't miss any upcoming lightweight trailer videos and be sure to stay tuned until the end of this video for the things I love and the things I change about this exciting fifth wheel camper so here we have our 19 ft fifth wheel option on our Scamp trailer if you purchase a 19t trailer we include the hitch and we will install that hitch for you couple options on the 19-footer you have the optional awning that awning that is optional on all of our trailers 13 16 19 you can get that awning on there this one has our particular outdoor shower the grab handle is an option the step is standard on on the 19f footer for you so our 19f Footers they come standard with uh dual propane you got a switch where you can just switch over to this tank and switch over to this tank here for you or you can leave it in the middle and have both of your propane tanks on at the same time and it will draw from whichever one has battery is right here again optional for the 24 series 27 or you can upgrade to the lithium battery uh the hookup is here for you and also a power up and down to help you hook up the hitch so back around to this side of the trailer here is your little switch to to go up and down on the on the hitch to help you hook up that trailer again if you notice this trailer does set up a little bit higher than our than our 16s or our 13s you get a little bit more ground clearance just due to the fact that you are doing a fifth wheel and it does have a little more ground clearance to it again our blackwat 6 gallon black water tank is is right here our gray water tank is is back over here and then you have your hose storage for your black water and gray water so uh the Black Water 6 gallon again the gray water is 21 Gall have our ond demand water heater City Water Hookup and then we also this has is an option this year this is our detachable cord set just a flip up of that the cord is in the trailer you just plug in and you plug into your Shore power it's a nice feature it completely seals up the trailer there is no hole or anything where that cord comes in and out of so again on the back of the trailer pretty standard just like the rest of our trailers uh spare tire is included with the cover you got your stabilizers uh to come down in the back again the 2-in receiver designed for that bike rack or that luggage rack this is our optional backup camera that we have up here the nice thing with our backup camera is is if you do have a luggage or bike rack uh on the on the back of the trailer not only when you're in reverse on your vehicle but if you were going down the road straight ahead and you wanted to see behind the trailer you have that option where you can just hit a button and you can see behind the trailer while you are going down the road hey folks Greg with two other features on the outside that I want to show you first you'll see a torsion axle which those of you who follow the channel know I'm a fan of Torsion axles deliver a secure ride on the highway from a very simple design second you can now order a Scamp with a composite floor which will eliminate the chance of any wood rot in the trailer in fact for 2025 it's going to be standard I'm not sure if this is that floor but thought it was important to mention so the main advantage of the fiberglass trailer especially the Scamp is is obviously the lightweight another advantage of the fiberglass trailer especially with the Scamp is this is the only seam that is on the trailer it is around the belly band so we have a bottom fiberglass mold and a top fiberglass mold that comes together so no seams on top of the trailer very rarely do we ever see any leaks on our scamps which is why we like to say they last for a lifetime so I'm standing inside of our 19 footer let's take a look around in in here so this is our more popular layout this one has our bunk up front you get the staircase going up into there you have storage underneath of your stairs right here for you little storage in there again your power cut off switch just like on every other one of our trailers interior exterior lighting right here for you and this one does have our front bathroom on here this again is is our wet bath this one has the toilet and the shower the sink is an option on on our bathrooms so in the 19f footer this is our kitchen your kitchen is going to be on both sides this is the optional microwave this is our optional larger nor cold fridge so you have a separate freezer door and a separate fridge door on there a lock on the bottom while you are traveling down the highway to make sure that your doors are not going to fly open and get you spoiled food uh 12 yep 12vt fridge lots of storage on the side plenty of storage in there that is our standard trailer spare tire cover and the crank for the awning in there more storage inside of the kitchen we have all kinds of storage you got dual drawers cabinets Tree in there all of these doors do open up another little storage right below the furnace on this side of the kitchen this has our optional glass top of stove the standard stove sits above that the nice thing about our glass cover stove you can cook right here when you are not cooking you can flip that down and have a nice flat smooth surface for more counter space um all of our sinks come standard with a sink cover uh all the right there size of the sink and then also more storage all on this side for you upper [Music] storage lots of storage underneath here with your drawers and then again all of the storage in the back you have your open storage here with the Nets and then also your flip up doors again all wood solid wood doors this is our oldak interior you have an option of whether you can get oak or Birch on your interior again all of the windows do open up Shades go up and down this one has our optional TV package so Greg just asked me about fan in here so this one fan is an option on our 19f Footers you can get a fan over this bed you can get a front and a rear fan so you can also get a fan up in the bunk this one does not have the air conditioner however every one of our trailers has the supports if you do not get an air conditioner it has the supports there and the wiring for it so you can add an AC later so tank sizes on the 19f footer good great question all of our tank sizes whether it's a 13 a 16 or a 19 your tank sizes you're going to have a six gallon Blackwater tank you're going to have a 21g gray water tank and a 12 gallon freshwater tank so back to our pricing on our scamps all of our uh 13f Footers our 16f Footers and our 19f Footers they all have different layouts on the inside that come with a standard price on on those different layouts and basically what we do we will custom build this trailer right to your liking whatever options you want on it it's we kind of like to say here's the burger whatever toppings you want on top of that burger we'll put it on there and we will custom build it right to your liking the starting price of a Scamp 19 is $ 37,2 199 in April of 2025 and figure low to mid 4S fully equipped and remember that the only way you can buy a new Scamp is direct from the factory next up is pros and cons and we'll start with the pros my first pro is simply the fact that this fifth wheel is towable by midsize trucks which of course opens this unit up to a lot more pickup truck owners my second Pro is the availability of three floor plans all three have wet baths and one offers a lot more sleeping space for larger families something that's great to see my final Pro is the huge kitchen with tons of counter space cooking in this trailer is going to feel similar to cooking at home what about cons well the first one is the fact that you can only get the 19 with scamp's Deluxe Decor I wish Scamp offered the standard Decor since to my eye it looks more modern and its fiberglass cabinets way less my second con is tank sizes specifically the fresh tank at 12 Gall and the black tank at 6 Gall I wish wish they were larger although the 21g gray tank is a good size finally although this trailer offers plenty of storage inside I wish there was outside access to at least one storage compartment for storing electrical cables water hoses and the like well if I live in California or I live in Florida uh how do I get my Scamp serviced your first call should you need your Scamp service would be into our parts and service department and they will direct you EX exactly where you need to go any certified RV dealer can work on our our trailers our parts and service department they are work wonderfully with you the customer and also other dealers Nationwide that that you can get your Scamp serviced and you do not have to bring it back here tobac us so warranty on our Scamp trailers the industry standard the frame and the shell have a one-year warranty any of the appliances that are inside the trailer it varies from the supplier and that manufacturer of that product the warranty will vary anywhere between 1 to 3 years we also here at Scamp offer an extended warranty where you could completely cover your trailer under warranty for 7 years just want to say a big thanks to Dayton for presenting I'll leave the phone number and web page for Scamp in the description and I recommend calling if you have any questions about how to order all in all the Scamp 19 is an intriguing option for pickup truck owners it's combination of sleeping space the large kitchen and dinette and lightweight is unique amongst towable RVs as is the space you'll lose in the truck bed to the fifth wheel hitch what do you think is this a great lightweight option for pickup truck owners let me know in the comments if you'd like to see more fiberglass egg style trailer walkthroughs check out our playlist which I've linked on the screen thanks for watching and take care
