Understanding Hagar: God Sees Us All

The word of the Lord today is the God who sees me. The God who sees me. If you got a Bible, go to Genesis chapter 16. Genesis 16. God laid this word on my heart specifically for this weekend. There was a woman by the name of Hagar. And her story oftentimes gets overlooked in the Bible because she's kind of wrapped into a pretty popular couple's story, Sarah and Abraham. Hagar finds herself in the middle between a husband and a wife that are having a feud and they're kind of taking it out on her. And she didn't ask for this. She got pulled into this. She got hired as a servant for Abraham and Sarah. She was kind of forced into the labor that she was doing. And and she was an immigrant. She was an Egyptian girl that got taken into this Jewish family, this Hebrew family. And it says in verse one of Genesis 16, "Now Sarah, Abram's wife, wasn't able to bear children for him." Well, this was a painful thing for Sarah. She felt uh like she didn't have purpose. She felt like she was angry at her husband, at God, herself. And and yet she saw an idea. She said, "I I have a plan. I have an idea. Why don't you take my servant Hagar, and because I can't have children, go and sleep with her. Perhaps I can have children through her." So Abram agreed to do the, you know, to do what Sarah told him to do. And Sarah, Abram's wife, took Hagar and gave her to Abram as a wife. This was kind of a normal thing in the Old Testament. We don't do this today, you know, but in verse four, Abram and Hagar, they, you know, have intimate relations and and all of a sudden, Hagar gets pregnant. And when she gets pregnant, it creates this competition in the house. And Sarah is so angry at Hagar. She starts like harshly speaking to her, treating her harshly, abusing her. And finally, it gets to the point where Sarah says, "I am so angry at this woman because she's, you know, flaunting her pregnancy. She's so prideful that she can have children and I can't and it's your fault, Abram." And Abram's like, "Wait, what did I do?" You know, you know, as Sarah's taking her anger out on her husband. This is your fault. So Abram says, "Do what you want to do." So Sarah basically, you know, treated her so harshly that Hagar just ran away. She said, "I can't stay in this house. It's toxic. Nobody cares for me. I Nobody treats me nice. And as she's in the wilderness running for her life, God chases her down. Now, can I just say this? God has a plan for every human being on the planet. Regardless of what family you're born into, regardless of your skin color, regardless of your age, regardless of your background, whether you were born in Egypt or Israel or America, God loves humanity. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son. God loves you. God sees you when no one else sees you. And God cares for you when no one else cares for you. And Hagar didn't believe this. Hagar didn't have the same God as Abram and Sarah. She had grown up in Egypt worshiping other idols and hearing about other gods. But the God of Abram and Sarah came to Hagar, meets her in the desert by a water well. God has a way of getting water in a desert to you. God has a way of getting hope in a hopeless situation to you. God has a way of meeting you in the wilderness of your life. And he comes to Hagar through an angel and says, "Why are you here and where are you going?" She says, "I'm running for my life. I can't stay with Abram and Sarah. They're in a feud and they're taking it out on me and it's bad. And God says, listen, God has a I have a plan for you. You are pregnant with a child. And this child, even though it's not Sarah's child, it's may not be Isaac, this child has a purpose. This child is going to grow up. And and and his descendants are going to be as numerous as the stars in the sky. He's going to grow. He's going to multiply. And then God speaks directly to her. He says, "Go back to the house that you were at. Go back to the place that I've to the covering that I've called you to be in. I know it's hard. I know it's difficult, but I'm with you. God was literally with Hagar in her pain. Now, Hagar says something. It's very interesting in Genesis 16. She says something that no other woman in the Bible says. She gives God a name. A name that she came up with. She didn't know who he was. She didn't know if she should call him El Shadai or Jehovah Gyra or Jehovah Ni or Yahweh. So, she says El Roi. El Roi. which meant to her, the God who sees me. The God who sees all of me. The good, bad, and ugly. The God who sees me, not just physically, but sees me emotionally. Cuz you can be seen in a room, but not actually seen. You can walk into church and people see you, but they don't see you. You can work in a house with your children and your spouse and people might walk past you, but you may not feel seen. And if you've ever felt unseen or invisible in a family, invisible to the people that you're serving and helping and you're doing your best, this word is for you. As just a few points in this message, notetakers are history makers, world changers. The first point is this. Number one, God sees you. Tell the person next to you, God sees you. God sees you. God sees you. There's something that Ashley and I sometimes will do often when we're in a conversation and we're trying to understand or be understood. We'll say something like this. I see you. I see you. I see what you're saying. In other words, I understand you. This is what Hagar was relating to. She was saying, I'm not saying you see me in a shallow sense. I'm saying you fully see me. To be seen is to be known. To be seen is to be significant. Why do children beg for moms and dads to see them? Mommy, see me. See me. Daddy, did you see me? Did you see me play the piano? Did you see me throw the football? Did you see me do a dive off the diving board? Did you see me? Did you see my artwork over here? Did you see what I drew you? Do you see me? Sometimes my kids will literally pull my face down to their level and say, "Look at me. See me. See me." Right? They'll be on a merrygoround and they'll go a hundred times around the merrygoround and every time they come around, they're looking at me like, "See me. See me." And I keep waving back at a hundred times. This is the human desire. We all want to be seen. Every kid and every adult that used to be a kid knows the feeling of what it is like to not be seen. What it's like to feel like nobody sees me. Nobody understands me. Nobody sees me as a significant person. You can walk through the hallways of your high school. You can live on a college university surrounded by people and not feel seen. Paul, I feel like I'm invisible in my school. I feel like I'm invisible in my family. I feel like nobody sees me. My daughter the other day, she was having a rough hair day and she was at school and I could tell she was just trying to like just be there and someone took a picture of her in her moment. I want I want you to just check this out. This is Giana and she's like, "I'm here. I'm trying my best." You know, she's like, "Do you see me?" And I love it cuz I'm like, I've been like that before. We've all been like that. And a and I took a picture of her when she was on a roller coaster with me not too long ago because it was a different kind of peace. I want you to look at her smile. The difference from the moment where she was forcing a smile because she was having a rough day and the moment where she's sitting next to her daddy and she feels seen. She feels loved. She feels safe. She feels like even though I'm on a roller coaster and there's twists and turns and ups and downs and life is unpredictable, as long as my daddy sees me, I'm going to make it. When you know God sees you, it doesn't matter if anyone else sees you. When you know God sees you, you're going to make it. You're going to get through this. Every kid, every person needs to know this. Mother Teresa, as we're talking about mothers this weekend, I I thought I would throw in Mother Teresa, too. We got to celebrate all the moms, you know. But she said this and she was she was famous for this one quote. She said, "People are often unreasonable and self-centered even in your own house." She says, "Forgive them anyway. Forgive the daughter. Forgive the son who is selfish in your house. Forgive the husband. Forgive the person. Forgive the mother. Forgive the person that hurt you." She says, "People are often unreasonable, even in church, self-centered. Forgive them anyway." Thank you, Mother Teresa. She says, "If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives, mom. People might say, "You're manipulating me. You're trying to control me. You're trying to control my decision. You did this kind thing." A and mother says, "Be kind anyway. Be kind anyway." If you are honest, people might cheat you. They'll take advantage of your honesty. They'll take advantage of your meekness, your humility. She says, "Be honest anyways. If you find happiness, some moms might get jealous. Some people might get jealous." She says, "Be happy anyway, Mom. Smile anyway. Laugh anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow." In other words, you might do a lot of nice things for your family and you never hear a thank you. By the way, kids, can we show our gratitude? Not just on Mother's Day, but on a regular basis to tell our moms, "Thank you for all the things that they do for us." Just tell the mom that's next to you, "Thank you. I appreciate you for all that you do." Mother Teresa, she says this. She says, um, people might forget all the things you do for them. She says, do the good things anyways. Give the world the best you have, Paul, and it may never be enough. Ty, give it the best you've got. Daniel, give it the best you got, and it may never be enough for some people. Some people may never be satisfied with what you do. But she says, "Give your best anyways. Keep showing up, Josh. Keep showing up, Daniel. Keep showing up, Matt. Keep showing up, Ashley. Keep doing your best. And then then she brings it to the main close here. I love a good mama's word. When mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. But when mama Listen, this mama has a great word for us. By the way, you don't have to have biological children to be a great mother. Mother Teresa, she took on the lepers of Kolkata. All you got to do is take somebody on to say, "I'm gonna help you. I'm gonna lift you up. I'm gonna encourage you. I'm gonna strengthen you. I'll cook you a meal. I'll take you out for coffee. Mother Teresa models motherhood in a way for people who may not have biological children. She says, "I'm the mother of all of these people." And she says this, "For you see, after you've done all the good, all the kind things, all the honest work," she says, "for you see, in the end, it is between you and God." The God who sees you sees the things that no one else sees. She says, "It was always between you and him, Hagar. It wasn't between you and Sarah, you and Abram. It wasn't between you and everyone else. She said it was always between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. Jesus said in Matthew 6:6, "Your father who sees what you do in secret, your father who sees you giving, serving, loving, cleaning. You're going to wash all the things that you do." Your father who sees those things that you do in secret will reward you publicly. One day you will hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, if you will just stick with it." Number one, God sees you. Number two, God hears you. Following in these chapters, Sarah ends up getting pregnant. And it's kind of funny because Sarah laughs at the idea of getting pregnant. And if we don't have time to unpack it, but in Genesis 18, God hears Sarah laughing as she's inside of a tent and God's speaking to Abram. And he God literally peaks his head in the tent. He's like, "I heard you laughing." And she goes, "I wasn't laughing." And God goes, "Yes, you were." It's pretty funny. You should read the the chapter Genesis 18. But here's what I'm trying to say is God doesn't just see you. He hears you. He hears the things that you think, not out loud, but on the inside. God hears your thoughts right now. He hears your prayers. He hears your cries. In 1820, true story. This was documented historically by different people. It's one of the strangest survivor stories. This man got on a a ship to sail from uh Australia to England. He wanted to go see his mother. He hadn't seen her in 10 years. He had lived his life for himself. He never really lived for the Lord. His mother was a Christian. He knew her biggest desire was to one day see him give his heart to the Lord. So he got on a ship and sailed towards England. Crazy thing happened. The ship experienced some storms and was sunk. Everyone on board on this ship died except Peter. Peter Richley was stranded on a piece of the ship out in the open seas between Australia and England and he was picked up by a second ship. The second ship that rescued him two days later also broke apart and was wrecked by a storm and he was once again shipwrecked a second time. A third ship picked up Peter Richley and the third ship a few days later also went through a storm. is this true story. Three shipwrecks in a row, Peter is stranded out at sea, a fourth ship picks up Peter. The fourth ship, a few days into the journey towards England, also experiences storms. I guess in the 1800s, ships were just going down cuz the fourth ship also wrecked. Guys, this is crazy. A fifth ship picked up Peter richly. And at this point, you're like, should he even get on the ship or should he just float in the ocean? The fifth ship picks up Peter and guess what happens? The shipwrecks. He's stranded out at sea. Five shipwrecks. The sixth ship that picks him up. True story. Was called the city of Leeds. The city of Leeds. It was a ship coming from England. Leeds Great Britain towards Australia. This was the the sixth ship that found him after five shipwrecks. When he got on the boat on the ship, they couldn't believe his story. He said, 'I have been through five shipwrecks. Please tell me we're going to land somewhere. They couldn't believe his story. They said, "This is unbelievable." He was he was very sick. So, he went to the doctor. The doctor on the ship said, "There's a woman on board that got sick the last few weeks. She was coming from England to Australia. Would you do me a favor, sir?" True story. So the man says anything. You guys rescued me after five shipwrecks. He said, "Um, would you pretend to be this woman's son because she keeps on waking up in her fever saying, "Oh Lord, oh Lord, please let me see my son before I die. Please let me see my son and please let my son give his life to the Lord." And Peter says, "Yeah, I'll pretend to be your son." Peter walks into the room and he hears the woman mumbling. This elderly, frail, gray hair. She's losing her life. She's had a fever for the last several weeks on this sixth ship that he ended up on. As he gets closer and he hears her mumbling, "Oh Lord, oh Lord, please save my son." He recognizes the voice. It was his mother lying there dying. He didn't have to pretend to be the son. He was the son. He grabs her hands. He says, "Mother, it's me, Peter." Her eyes open. Her fever left immediately. She said, "Meter." He said, "Mom, I've been through five shipwrecks. I don't know how I ended up on the ship that you were on." She said, "I was coming to see you." He said, "I was coming to see you." She hadn't seen him in 10 years. He said, "Mom, I want to give my life to the Lord." She got to watch her son give her life to the moms, I'm telling you, it's the prayers of moms that penetrate even through shipwrecks. I think God was orchestrating even the shipwrecks. God will orchestrate even the shipwrecks of people's lives to bring them back to church. Some of you go, "Why why did I have to go through five marriages? Why did I have to go through five rehab stance? Why did I have to Why is my son in this shipwreck? Maybe God I'm not saying God caused it, but God has a way of using every man's shipwreck to get him closer to the purpose that God has. Moms, don't stop praying. God hears you." Somebody say, "God sees me. God hears me." Number three, God has called you. God has called you, Haggar. God has called you. I want to look at one more verse and then I'm going to close out. Acts chapter nine. Acts chapter nine. I was reading in the book of Acts the other day and this story jumped off the page. I said, I got to share this on Mother's Day. So powerful. It's about a girl named Dorcas. Give it up for Dorcas. If we have a sixth child, we're naming her Dorcas, babe. She also went by Tabitha. She kind of had two names. She had Dorcas with some people. And T, if you knew her really close, you could call her Tabitha, but everyone else called her Dorcas. That's kind of like us, though. We all kind of have two names. Some some people who see us from a distance and the people that really see you. They really know you. And she was known in the community. Dorcas was known for doing kind things. Do it like Dorcas. She served. She served in the church. She served on the dream team. She served in the parking lot ministry. She served in nursery and children's church. Shout out to all the nursery and children's church workers and the teachers that work with children and and the youth pastors and the youth ministry. Dorcas was involved in the community. She was a mighty woman of God. People honored her. They admired her. And she gave out so much. She served other people so much that verse 37 says as she was helping everybody else, she forgot to help herself. This can happen to moms. Fatigue. Serving fatigue. Hospitality fatigue. Generosity fatigue. You're giving out to everybody else you're serving. What can I do for you, Paul? What can I do for you, John? How can I help you? Ruthie, Sarah, Liam, Benny, Mac, Ellie, John. How can I help the church? What does the church need? I'll be at the encounter. I'll serve at the encounter and I'll serve here and I'll serve there and I'll do this for them and that. And as she was serving, she got sick. Last time I did an illustrated sermon, my shirt got ripped off in church. I thought, Mother's Day is not a great day to get my shirt ripped off. So, I don't have a button-up shirt. It's not a snap button shirt. But I am going to do an illustrated message for a moment. I need someone to play the part of Dorcas. Mom, would you play the part of Dorcas? Come on, give it up for Sharon Dy. So she was serving and serving and she took a seat. Are you okay? Yeah. I may need help getting back up. I got you. This is a real illustrated sermon. This is a real illust not not so real. Don't you go dying on me, Mom. I'm not. But but pretend for a second she got sick. She closed her eyes. She said, "I think I'm done." Sometimes I think we all get like this. I think sometimes when we're trying to help a lot of people and we're at work and the older we get, sometimes we're just like, "If the rapture ain't coming, I'll just go to meet the Lord, you know, because I'm tired and I'm helping so many people. And sometimes it just gets so exhausted. I think Dorcas, she wasn't dying because she did anything wrong. She was dying because she was doing everything right. She was helping so many people. I just felt like the Lord wanted to speak to some women today that some of you are dying on the inside while you're serving on the outside. You're cleaning and you're washing and you're sitting and you're listening and you're counseling and you're crying with people and you're showing up to funerals and weddings and you're helping your teenage daughter and you're helping your college age kids and you're you're there for everybody but you are dying and you don't want anyone to feel sorry for you don't want a pity party so you just go I'll just I'll just leave I'll just quietly slip out into eternity but people noticed she had made such uch a difference, such an impact that the whole city was like, "Wait, we can't lose her like this. We can't we can't let her go like this. We need to let her know." By the way, don't wait till someone's dead to let them know how much they mean to you. Don't wait till your mama's gone for you to finally say, "I love you so much. You mean so much." I thought it was so special when Liam said, "You mean more to us than you realize." Let people know you love them while they're still breathing. So the community was shaken by Dorcas's death. It was untimely. It was like, "Wait a minute. Not every time in Bible did when someone died did they come back to life." There's a few times it happened in the Old Testament. Elisha helped raise a young boy back to life. It happened in the New Testament. Jesus raised Lazarus back to back to life. Jesus raised J Iris's daughter back to life. uh at times that people had to be removed from the room because there was so much doubt, negativity, skepticism. There was times in the Bible where Jesus raised um in in the town of Naine where a woman was carrying her dead son and Jesus stopped her in the middle of the funeral and raised the boy back to life. But this is the only time in scripture, unless I'm wrong, and all the Bible scholars can call me out. It's the only time in scripture I see where Jesus where it was a disciple that raised a mom back to life, like an older elderly woman back to life. And when I was reading this, I just it just jumped off the pages at me. They went and found Peter and they said, "Peter, come as soon as possible." I think Peter must have been impacted by Dorcas. I think he was a benefactor. I think he was receiving aid because there were a lot of women in the church that supported the disciples. They supported Peter and John and James and you know all the different disciples. These women, they were working hard to keep the church going and to take care of the needs and running the hospitality team and the dream team and the children's church and the youth ministry and and they were helping out on a daily basis. I think Peter knew this woman. She's a special woman. I just want to say that to every woman in the room. You are a special woman. God sees you on the back row, on the front row. God hears you. God has called you, Dorcas. God has good plans for you. God has good plans for your future. He's not finished with you. Those are my next points. God's not finished with your story. If there's breath in your lungs, God's not done with you. And sometimes, even when there's not breath in your lungs, God's not done with you. So, Peter comes into the upper room. By the way, every one of us in this room has an upper room in our life. This is your upper room. It's at the top of your body. It's the mind. It's the chamber. It's the upper chamber. Peter walked into the upper room and he saw people who had good intentions, but they didn't believe in the miracle that could happen. They were filled with tears of sorrow. They were grieving as the world grieavves. We'll never see her again. Peter needed some some faith. Sometimes you need to dismiss some things in your mind, in your upper room, that no longer serve a purpose for where God's taking you. Sometimes you need to take authority of your upper room and serve an eviction notice on some thoughts that have been camping out up there. Thoughts like, "God doesn't love me. God doesn't care for me. God doesn't see me. Nobody values me. I'm never going to get out of this mess. I'll never see things turn around." You need to take authority of your upper room. Peter walked into the upper room and he took authority. You have the power and authority as a believer to take take control. But the Bible says take every thought captive that's not from God. So if you got thoughts of negativity, if you got thoughts of doubt, if you got thoughts of God doesn't love me, if you got bad self-t talk towards yourself, you need to take authority. So Peter gets everything out of the upper room that's not filled with faith. And then he looks at the the mom, stay down for a second. She's ready. She's like, I'm ready to get up out of here. Verse 40. After Peter dismissed those that didn't need to be up there, he knelt down and he prayed for this mighty woman of God. Turning to her, he said, "Get up, Tabitha. Get up." And she opened her eyes. Come on, look at those beautiful blue eyes. And when she saw Peter, she sat up and Peter took her by the hand. Mom, I got you. Okay. Took her by the hand and lifted her up. Give it up for Pastor Sharon Dy still standing. God's not finished with you yet. Mom, tell the person next to you, "God's not finished with you yet. Don't stop praying. Don't stop worshiping. I want you to stand your feet all over this place." I think the testimony of Dorcas aka Tabitha, I think the testimony of her life is a reminder that God can turn things around for you. We serve a God who still does miracles, church. He can still heal. He can still redeem. He can still restore. He can still answer prayers that seem like they've gone unanswered for years, decades. He can still lead children through shipwrecks to get to the right ship. And I'm going to ask you to bow your heads, close your eyes. I promise I'll dismiss in just a few minutes, but this is the most important part of the service. Greatest thing you could do for your mother on Mother's Day is give your life to Jesus. Greatest gift you could give to your mom on Mother's Day is give your life to Jesus. You came to church. That's half the battle right there. You showed up. If there's anyone in the room, prodigal sons, daughters, husbands, wives, whoever you are, wherever you're at, if you need to give your heart to Jesus today, if you need to repent of your sins and receive his forgiveness and make him the Lord of your life, I want you to just lift your hand up all over this room. I'm talking to you. God's talking to you. He sees you. He sees you. And he doesn't see you with eyes of anger or condemnation or shame. He sees you with eyes of compassion. He says, "I see what you've been struggling with. I see where you've been hiding things. I see where you've been battling things." in secret. I see where you've been wondering if anybody notices you. I see where you feel insignificant. God sees you and he says, "I'm calling you. Don't miss this opportunity. You never know what tomorrow holds. Don't miss this opportunity. If that's you, just raise your hand. If you're watching online, raise your hand. Today's your day to get right with Jesus. Surrender to him. Surrender to the God who sees you." That's what Hagar said. She said, "I have seen the God who sees me, and I surrender. I submit to the covering of the God who sees me. Secondly, you're here today and you say, "Paul, I I'm saved, but this word was speaking to me." Maybe in a way you can see yourself like Hagar. Maybe in a way you could see yourself like Dorcas. Just wondering, God, do you see what I'm walking through? Do you have a plan or a way of getting me back up on my feet again, getting me strong again, refreshing me, renewing me? Lord, I need a breakthrough right now. I want to pray for not just women, but men in the room, anyone in the room that you just need a breakthrough. You just need the God who sees you to do a fresh work to bring a fresh touch to your life right now. If that's you, just raise your hand. If you need a fresh touch from the father, his healing, his peace, his restoration, his grace, his favor, his kindness, his breakthrough, if you raise your hand for either of those, or you need to get to the altar, I want you to leave your seat. Come and meet me at the altar. I want to pray for you today. I want you to have an encounter with Jesus today. And and alter team, would you step out? Would you come and stand with every person that comes down to the altar? No one is alone. Today is a great day to just give it to God. Today's a great day to just surrender to do to God. Today's a great day to receive his mercy, to receive his strength, to receive his restoration, to receive his healing power, to receive his joy, to receive his freedom, to get out of the depression, to get out of the suicidal thoughts, to get out of the fear, to get out of the pity party, to get out of the anxiety, to say, "God, you see me and I surrender to you. Today is the day of salvation. Today is a day of hope. Today is a day of healing. And as you come down to the altar, just come and find a place and we're just going to worship. Take a let's just take a minute or two to just sing to the Lord. Go ahead, team. If you need prayer, come and meet us at the altar. If you need prayer today, if you need a fresh touch from God today, come and meet us at this altar. Lord, I pray for healing. I pray God for freedom. I pray for breakthrough. I pray God that you would raise up every tabatha. Raise up God every person that feels down, every person that feels sick, every person that's battling a struggle, victory in Jesus name, healing in Jesus name, restoration in Jesus name. We bring everything to the feet of Jesus. God sees you. He sees you and he loves you and he's for you and he's not against you and he has good plans for you. God's got you. God's got you. God's hand is on you. He has not forgotten you. He has not forsaken you. In Jesus name. In Jesus [Music] name. He sees you. He sees you. He sees you. He sees you. He sees you. He's for you. He's with you. He's got you. You're not alone. He's got you in Jesus name. In Jesus name. Healing God. Grace in Jesus name. Peace in Jesus name. Strength in Jesus name. A fresh touch from heaven in Jesus name. All things for Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. My father your working for I will my eyes on heaven God I receive your vision God I believe your work all things he sees you sees you come alive in the name of Jesus arrive youus This is our house awesome. We bring everything to the feet of Jesus. Every day in the name of Jesus. This is a house of miracles. I just see God looking down from heaven and he's saying, "I see you. I see you and I'm for you and I'm with you and I've not forsaken you and I've not forgotten about you. I've not forgotten about the prayers you've prayed. I've not forgotten about the dreams you've dreamed. Some of you that are believing to have children. Some of you that are believing to get married one day. Some of you that are believing for your marriage to change, to turn around, to be restored, healed. God says, "I see you. I see you single mom. I see you single dad. I see you. I see you on the other side of that pain that you've been walking through hiding with a smile. I see you mental health expert that has mental health issues of your own. I see you. I see you. I see you pastors, kids. I see you mamas. I see you dads. I see you businessmen. I see you teachers. God sees every teacher that serves in the public schools and the private schools and the homeschool moms that are teaching and homeschool dads that are teaching. He says, "I see you. I've not forgotten about you. I see you children that have walked through painful home environments, been pulled out by DHS." He says, "I see you." Little boy came up to me after one of the services this weekend, and he was just crying. He said, "I'm sick. I'm sick." He was probably seven years old, sitting in big service. He said, "I'm sick." He showed me a bandage on his arm. He said, "I've been to the doctor a lot lately. This little boy has to grow up really fast." He said, "Would you pray for me, pastor? Would you pray for me?" I got a tear in my eyes. He's crying. I said, "God sees you, son. God sees you." He said, "I I just need him to heal me. I just need him to heal me. He can heal you. He can heal you. Lord, I thank you God that you see every son, every daughter, every mother, every father, every grand, every grandmother, grandfather. You see us, God, and you love us and you have good plans for us. So God, we trust in our heavenly father. We surrender every fear about tomorrow to you. We surrender any anxiety, worry. God, we come under the covering of your calling in our lives. We surrender to you. We just say, "Lord, have your way." Just say this with me. Jesus, thank you. Thank you that you see me. You died for me. You died for me. You paid for my sins on the cross. I repent. I receive your forgiveness. You rose from the grave. You rose from the grave. And you see me. You give me resurrection life. You raise me up. You raise me up. Lord, I trust in you. I trust in you. I thank you, Lord, that you hear my prayers. You're working all things together for good. And my best days are still in front of me because you live inside me and you're not finished with me yet in Jesus name. Amen. And amen.
